Hmm the vertpay IPO looks like a nice scam. 200.000VTC transferred into BTC... (understand: DUMP as hell and it will be the last time when you ever have seen your VTCs....).
Bullshit, all of that has been answered at Reddit and one of those guys was even at the NYC Cryptoconv VTC Booth.... At this stage the VertPay saga has become a mess. Them rolling out the idea (seemingly) out of nowhere, and just the way it has been handled does not attract confidence. They have done a good job rebutting arguments in detail over a couple threads, but in all honesty, a few hours working the keyboard to answer questions is not the level of transparency that flies nowadays in a post crypto world of gox, neobee, etc. For people claiming to have years of experience in crowdfunding etc it smells a little bit like amateur hour. At this point the only way that project will move forward is a high profile endorsment from somebody on the dev team. I see othe wrote one (is this your account? http://www.reddit.com/user/othevtc) but even that doesnt go far enough. Endorsement not of their business plan, but of their intentions. Vertpay its a good idea in theory but needs to reogranize the way they approach the community. "We are starting an ambitious payment processor for vert. Here is a website, the the share issuance plan, a podcast interview, a few photos, and some rebuttals on a reddit subforumn. Send us 200k in vert"=/=good enough Pretty sure they were banned from the subreddit. Why would they endorse them? Dumping 1/10th - 1/15th of the VTC market cap into BTC would be bad. SCAMMMMMM Your an idiot Riley Go promote another scam... away from Vertcoin. You have been here for what, a week or two at best? Your coin? no. People like you have been showing up recently and dont get what has been achieved since January. I could care less about your opinion and actively question your intentions. All I get is rhetoric from you guys. Never a straight answer. I've been on here long enough to see scenarios of better constructed scams with more supporting details and background information. Go back to the drawing board, my son. PS: My account is less than 2 weeks newer than yours. If you have another account it just further proves my point of you being a scammer. Holy shit. Its people like you who are holding everyone back. Im not interested in replying to you anymore.

Anyone who is trying to make a quick buck on any crypto currency is going to be out of luck for a year or two. I think many enthusiasts should watch some of Andreas Antonoupolus' videos, one thing he mentions that makes the most sense to me is this. Crypto currency is the first international currency type ever created, however right now only 1st world cultures are using it or really even know about it. But there are a billion people with no access to traditional bank systems but do have internet access (like with their cell phones), once the proper item is invented that will allow these billion people that live in oppressed societies to all of a sudden have access to a true international bankless currency system, at THAT point you will see the true adoption and power of the invention of crypto currency.
At this point bitcoin and other alt coins aren't really going to go over 2-3k at most until the world as a whole starts adopting it, and it's going to start with the cultures who actually NEED crypto currency to exist for them, and they aren't going to get their hands on crypto currency until the proper inventions happen that allow them to use and experience it.
Then you will see your 500k-million dollar bitcoin and if vertcoin is even .02 of that you will easily see 20k vertcoins in the future.
First of all, many of us believe in the invention of decentralized payment systems, and are true believers. We know exactly what we have gotten ourselves into. Im glad you started listening to andreas. But What you wrote is nothing new and many people are working to expand the crypto universe. It will happen sooner than you think. 2nd, to what I highlighted above, your logic is extremely flawed. VTc etc early adopters buying 10,000 coins at below $1.50 and seeing it rise to $10-20 (let alone the $2/3,000 that you said) is not considered a tidy windfall? And 2 years is nowadays considered a long time in terms of investments? Why dont you buy some cd's or IRAs to compare.

So its been a month or so since the "anonymous" coins came out. The prices on avg between them have fluctuated between 0.5usd-1usd. Using this as an indication of how the market values anonymity services, its reasonable to infer that if SBC had not been a scam and implemented the mixing feature its true value would have been within that range. Therefore it would have been anti-climatic for everyone involved.

Dead coin. Sorry guys, I had hope but im throwing in the towel.

The coin is not dead. The problem was cryptorush. You can't withdrawl btc there so nobody is trading there anymore. bittrex is not big enough.
We need Aph to get listed at mintpal. Tonight is the next voting...Let's all invest a little btc to get APH on 1 !
SCAM COIN. Anybody who puts any btc into this after this post is a warned. LOL, nice try though, im sure you made some cash off of this Julian et al..

you wrote yesterday you are not supporting this coin and you never did... now you are saying this coin could have been a good coin...
So whats wrong with you? Did you lose money or what is going on? You just spamming this thread. I think everyone know here whats going on there is no need that you are spamming every hour.
Cypriot here. Lol this coin is a joke. Im sure the dev (he is not cypriot i guarantee) will make some btc from this though, so in that way its a success (for him)

ride the pump as you wish, but as a local (lemosos AEL OLAY!) this project will not work. I give a 24hr max life to the pump
Edit: I just finished reading the op's posts. Seems like a typical quick money scheme based on nothing concrete. He just googled some cypriot landmarks and is using them for promotion. Be careful gentleman.
This is not locally supported

Hi.
I successful made a transaction trough PayPal with user mfedorov (please confirm this, mate). Everything worked good. I still have 50EUR / 70 USD to buy VTC. If someone is selling, I'm willing to buy.
mega
Confirmed! good coin == good people +1 Edit: For future users, always be careful with paypal transactions. Verify the reputation of the person before sending any money.

Actually I didnt even thouht that way. Is there any other way I can buy some VTC for cash? Im honest, just want to buy them while they're cheap. And thanks for the feedback, turtoro Edit: I'm trying to buy some BTC but apparently its not that easy/fast. Will buy 120€ worth of VTC/BTC. Local bitcoins lets you do west union/moneygram

I'm willing to buy around 200 VTC at current price. I'll pay trough PayPal.
"and I`m not aware of the terms of condition of PayPal and the SCAMproblems in the early history" Mega has been around for a while, Im sure he would do it legit. But its the individuals choice.

Very well! At the current difficulty we all can quickly push those projects just by donating our mining profits. Btw, is it ok to mine directly to a donation address or isn't that a good idea? I always see those warnings on trading platforms that you should not mine to their deposit address. Is this also true here? Yes, I am at 150VTC daily so I will definitely donate again. The problem is, as other users noted, these project vanish and never get publicity I applied for my marketing report project but that hasn't even made it to the website Seems there is generally not enough interest, so I'll probably stop investing my time. Takes like 2 hours every day... Well the devs have said a few times that its useful for them. But everyday is not necessary. Perhaps once every 2 weeks or 1 month?

. VTC might blow the sky once the 25-30mhz asics come out..
I've been thinking a lot about the future when asics come. GPU's will have to move to scrypt n, thousands of miners on VTC and at the end of the day most of them trying to sell them to get some money to pay for the power and gpu cost, cause they come from a market where they were losing money cause asics. So imagine the price of VTC with thousands and thousands of new sellers. To keep the price we need thousands of new buyers. Ive been thinking about as a lot as well. Can we have a discussion on this? The standard response would be "we will build up vert as a brand to be able to buy/sell products with". But breaking into a (semi) common method of payment will be 100x more difficult than what btc went through.. thoughts?

anyone else sad its dipping less than a dollar
Yup, sad indeed, seems it's over and out for Vertcoin... I will not sell my coins and hope for e ressurection but highly doubt it'll be able to get to the good old value again As long as the services around the coin are continued to be built (dev/community effort) and as long as the coin is being traded with (24hr volume = 80000$ which is quite healthy) the coin cannot die. Mining network is still quite strong, which tell me that there is a lot of people that believe in this coin. Honestly guys, do you think that Litecoin was simply going up and up all the time? All coins had their ups and downs, VTC is no different in that respect. My only suggestion is mine and continue to spread good word on VTC and continue to contribute to community as much as you can, good times are ahead. that is what we have been doing for the past month with no results, we might be getting adopted everywhere but there isnt anything to show for it You kids these days have no patience . Look at the fundamentals. Its a strong coin. you honestly think wdc/quark etc are better than Vertcoin? Do as you wish. But dont forget upswings in this "industry" happen quickly, and as long as the dev support is there this will remain one of the few promising coins. Edit: Looks like we are headed into the 3rd phase. 1rst was early miners/adopters. 2nd was people who were trying to ride the Feb upswing ( and probably lost some $ so you cant blame them for being moving on) and now the bargain hunters will move in and we will settle before the next upswing once Vert develops itself further No patience sure i am holding since 8 now 1.5 and i already lost 6.5 btc.2.5 million coin mined only and no buy support how i can calm down with these miner dumps still we have lots of coin hasnt mined yet! Have u ever seen 6.5 btc together?ok

Anonymity is important to people. I was disappointed the devs backtracked on their promise to implement zerocash. IMHO, Darkcoin is doing well and is ASIC resistant, plus mines much cooler. I hope drk considers zerocash protocol.
Full anonymity=scare mainstream smart anonymity (ie vert and stealth wallets)= mass adoption.
