Service update and new project should be launched within the next 2 weeks. This is besides the other one I mentioned previously which should be done end of December/beginning of Jan.
The tier 2 project will be done early next year (Jan/Feb).
Does this exclude the simulator that Geert Johan is building? That is also being released very soon according to Frais and y2cafuse. |

I don't know if it is possible to incorporate 2 factor authentication into the Guldencoin wallet with something like Google-authenticator, but it would be a great idea to improve security. Because if this coin goes mainstream, and the number of these criminals increases the media will be hunting for these type of things for proof that Guldencoin is not secure, although more bank accounts are hacked every year.

Well, it seems that we have a thief that knows what he is doing and is probably also reading this conversation. I suggest everybody install VPN and keep all the wallets with more than 10k offline. Pooling something like this off requires some patience and penetration testing with something like Backtrack, so he is probably monitoring other people right now. Not to scare everyone, but this is pretty annoying. I use private Internet access to secure my connection to prevent anybody scanning my network for vulnerabilities.

I only open my wallet when I need to send coins from it to buy from merchants. You don't even need to open your wallet when sending coins to it, you just need to keep a copy of your wallet addresses somewhere and use the blockchain explorer that /GeertJohan built to make sure the transaction succeeded. So when I need to use my wallet I get it from backup, then I rename the wallet.dat file that I just use to sync to blockchain to current before putting the backup copy. I open my Guldencoin wallet, do the transaction and then close it down and delete my wallet.dat file off the computer. I think if Guldencoin team or community had to do a project it would make it so people are forced to secure there wallets because mainstream users might have same problem as Bram, but remember you have to think of your wallet as like your own wallet you keep fiat in, you would not leave your own wallet open and laying around. This is why I am so happy Guldencoin is not a POS coin. |

Guldencoin Crossroads
The way I see things right now is that guldencoin devs doing work on something that is not going to benefit the coin against other coins who have more stable network. It has to be new algorithm to make
it all worth it because it take too long to fix. I know it need to be done but it also prevents other advancements in guldencoin as devs keep all focus on algorithm change.
On positive side this last 2 month has shown how strong this community is who have added to Guldencoin, Don't get me wrong the updates still come fast but not from dev team and more from the users which is better as coin does not rely on team so much.
The developer /GeertJohan is working on a simulator at least once a week for about 3 hrs a week according to the live feeds , so it wil take another 3-6 months before it's completed at this rate as people are saying it will be a first for cryptos. So expect the development changes for the new algorithm to be done middle of next year. I'm with investeerder,this are the real facts gj has only a few hrs in the week time to work on the algo, in this stage it looks like a after school project,we all see a lot of promises every week algo ios, in the meantime we see a lot of fans walking away because there are to little updates from the team.the distribution of the 100 free nlg for the dutch citizens is drop dead along time now.the official forum is almost dead! why not use a piece of thad mega big premine to hire more defs and start a marketing plan asap? After I initiated the thunderclap action there is nothing been done to promote the Guldencoin besides the stickers. Aren't there more ideas to promote our beloved coin? we must have more media attention!
I imagine further promoting is waiting on the algorithm change so new users won't have to download new wallets so soon after first introductions into Guldencoin, unless invester is right about the algorithm change taking another 6 months to implement then more promotion should be done now. Maybe team can feedback on timeline for update, not exact date but a indication of when everything should be ready by? |

This coin is so cheap now, and peoples are still Dumping.  this is nice! Thanks to the lack of patience from many others.. It's a multipool called clevermining that dumps NLG for btc, so yes they keep the coins cheap for now. |

This is why I thought it would work if we let the price fall to 400 with more dedicated miners until the algo changes have been made. I know we can't manipulate the markets but I am glad the price is low for stability at the moment. |
