221  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Bakkt will influence Bitcoin price? on: September 28, 2019, 10:18:02 AM
I don't think Bakkt will directly influence the price of BTC at all. However in the future when bigger players want to dabble in crypto, say as the next bull run comes, then they might want to be able to use Bakkt for institutional plays. That's when it will indirectly increase the price of BTC.

It will directly influence the price of BTC since they are trading Bitcoin backed futures (meaning they can give or take certain demand out of the Bitcoin market).  But to what extent is still unknown.  We see BAKKT is still on its intial stage of gathering clients, so we do not see any substancial effect of it on the market.   I think we a bit of patience to see the actual affect of this platform to the Bitcoin industry.

the thing about Bakkt is to introduce bitcoin to a new crowd not to those who already knew about it or were using it before. so it should technically bring new demand into the bitcoin market. but we can't really expect it to happen overnight or in the first week of their launch. it will be a slow process but it will bring in new investors and will definitely introduce bitcoin to a much larger crowd.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it be good for bitcoin if it will be regulated by the Goverment's on: September 28, 2019, 10:10:24 AM
it must not be either good or bad for bitcoin to get regulated or not. because bitcoin is decentralized and that means it should never care about what the centralized authorities think or say about it. they can ban it or adopt it and in the end it should not change a thing.

but also we are living in a society with laws, so obviously regulations can ease the adoption. it is not about feeling safe, it is about not feeling threatened by the government bullying you because you don't want to hand over your financial details to them! or give full control of YOUR money to them!!!
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this why Bitcoin is crashing? on: September 28, 2019, 09:57:12 AM
Bakkt is actually doing very well considering it is brand new and less than a week old. the volume has been high and growing. that has nothing to do with the price drop. it was purely a small panic sell followed by a ton of FUD and manipulation to trigger the subsequent sell offs at larger scale to cause such a gigantic drop.
it is also another step in the accumulation phase to push the price low like this to buy cheaper coins in that short window of opportunity before the price jumps back up and enters the bull run.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Private sale in China on: September 26, 2019, 02:07:24 PM
most of those people whom you saw in China and specially those who are so interested in tokens are mostly gamblers who are trying to test their luck in the altcoin market by making bets on different random coins in the exchanges and make profit if their luck was good on that bet and they won. they aren't really investors. that is why sometimes they are targeted for this type of investments, since they are easier to fool into thinking there is a technology where it is just repetition of previous work!
225  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are about to hit 8K and below...soon (see charts) on: September 26, 2019, 01:44:18 PM
I predict $20k bitcoin by end of this year. Probably $40k or higher. Don't forget the halving in 8 months or so.

Given the current situation, $20k seems pretty far away, and $40k doesn't look real at all given what timeframe you placed it. The effects of halving have so far come after halving, not before. I think you should look at halving 2016, nothing significant has happened before, but we have the big pump in December 2017, although the price was slowly rising throughout the whole year before that.

Expect the unexpected is something to consider when it comes to Bitcoin, maybe it just happens the opposite of what most expected.

i don't think we can reach $20k this year but it is not at all far away as you think it is. in fact $20k is so much closer than you can even imagine. you are feeling the same as how people used to think about 8 months ago about seeing $10k which also was considered "far away".

i don't think it will be reached only because each time (in each cycle) we get closer to the ATH of previous time it becomes increasingly hard to break it. so the rise slows down the closer we get to that arbitrary number. you can look at $1200 in 2017 and see how that looked like.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big drop in hashrate on: September 26, 2019, 01:28:29 PM
The people who panic sold will be feeling really, really angry/stupid once this is over. They only have themselves to blame
Funny that after all these years people are still falling for Emin Gun Sirer's market manipulation-- even though his twitter is stuff full of obviously paid altcoin promotion.

Sometimes it makes me feel like people are just dying to do something stupid and only looking for an excuse...

Because mining is a noisy poisson processes it provides a never ending stream of excuses for those who hope to dare to be stupid.

they are exactly looking for an excuse. since bitcoin has turned into an speculation tool for a big percentage of those that own it, there is a lot of interest in only trading it and being volatile helps with making money.
how to help increase the volatility? by drama like this. lack of knowledge and understanding of bitcoin (which also stems from seeing it as an investment) helps with that a lot!
i don't know if we can call it stupid although it is sad to see bitcoin community is like this!
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Alt season come soon? on: September 26, 2019, 01:02:15 PM
much talk in recent weeks and months of an alt season.

you just saw these "talks" recently, they have been going on for as long as i can remember! meaning from 2014 until today they are always saying the "altcoin season" is coming soon. sometimes they get lucky and are correct like 2017 but the rest of the times (that is 95% of the times) they are not and it is altcoin dumping season Wink
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public online auction for confiscated BTC tomorrow 25 Sep 2019 on: September 26, 2019, 12:52:36 PM
They're effed if BTC crashes though that shouldn't happen in the next 15 mins;)

it has already crashed. i would say they are ultra lucky that it happened and they are buying it at this rate instead of 15-20% higher. so in reality the discount they are getting is about 30% to 45% right now. there is no room left for crash and even if it happens, the price is bound towards $10k+ soon enough. i don't think someone participating in this kind of auction is going to look for quick profit. a short wait and they nearly double their money.
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy Bitcoin? on: September 26, 2019, 12:35:40 PM
Fear and Greed sentiment indicator

try not to think too much about numbers like these.
this types of factors are just numbers that people have come up with to try and justify certain actions in the market. they are never correct apart from some coincidence happens and they happen to be in the same direction as the market went by pure luck.
we are in the accumulation phase even if right now it doesn't look like it. the same way we were in a similar phase when price was $4100 and was going up and down to $3000 and back up again.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners, don't give up yet. Bitcoin can't do it alone. on: September 25, 2019, 01:15:38 PM
The altcoin industry have lost some big percentage of patronizers due to the poor performance of the market in the recent months, this have cause so many enthusiasts to lose interest in altcoins in general

i disagree.
i believe the main reason why everyone (apart from newbies who only care for money making) have given up on the altcoins has nothing to do with their price and its decline. but it is all about lack of any half decent project with any kind of innovation for a very long time. all we keep seeing is copies that are repeating the same exact thing under a different name.

i personally have been very enthusiastic about "Alternative CryptoCurrencies" but the more projects i checked out the more disappointed i got which is why i have given up on seeing anything good and my purpose in altcoin market is only to increase my bitcoin wealth by using them as tools for bitcoin-profit.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold on to patience even when it feels like wearing off on: September 25, 2019, 12:59:38 PM
it may be time for all of you who call what you do "having patience" to start rethinking your decisions in life. you have been bagholding a bunch of shitcoins that were destined to lose value and that is what they have been doing over the past 2 years and will not stop until they lost at least 98% of their prices.

patience is for when you have made a good decision and a good investment in something with actual future not something that clearly has no future and is only here because it was pumped.
232  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bull run on: September 25, 2019, 12:52:16 PM
If the usdt minted usdt to buy bitcoins Everybody was confident its a bull run but it was bull trap!

the only problem is that nobody ever uses tether to buy bitcoin, the creators of that centralized shitcoin create it and inject it into the altcoin market and the altcoin bag holders buy it in stead of their shitcoins to try and escape their dump. that is why all the altcoin exchanges have it listed and that is why people have been doing so much arbitrage lately...
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can explain this crash... on: September 25, 2019, 12:11:54 PM
It's easy guys, what we are watching right now is what happens when a big mining farm quits.

you can not make this statement unless you can back it up with undeniable proof that it was indeed a "big mining farm" that quit. otherwise you are the victim of the FUD that the media has been spreading after the drop was already on the way just to get the panic going more.

hashrate fluctuations happen all the time. the problem is that you can't really measure hashrate, all these numbers are an estimate based on the time between the blocks and the difficulty which will only readjust every 2 weeks!
234  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NOTHING! on: September 25, 2019, 12:03:27 PM
well for that to happen there is another "first" step and that is "you" be willing to stop using fiat. but as long as "you" are not giving up fiat and insist on using it to pay for anything and keep on considering bitcoin as an investment rather than a currency you really can't expect others to do any differently.
and when i say "you" i don't mean you per se, generally speaking majority of people are like this. they just want to hold bitcoin for the "fiat" profit they gain.
235  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto volatile again, Whats stopping you from trying Options Trading? on: September 24, 2019, 10:00:12 AM
the only problem is that you wish for that kind of swing but what really happens is that you start at $10100 price then it only goes down to $9600 then comes back up to $10200 and jumps up and down in that area before it shoots back up again to $12k,.... prices.

all the while that you would be waiting and hoping to make a profit from a scenario that is highly unlikely and losing money for it, others (the day traders doing the normal routine) are making profit from each up and down inside that channel!
and that's what stopping people from "options trading".
236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach $100k within 5 years from now on: September 24, 2019, 09:40:38 AM
$100K will be possible if Bitcoin will be commonly used around the world for direct spending but if Bitcoin will just depend only on pure investment then it will be impossible to hit that figure because the more Bitcoin become more expensive then the more it will become difficult to purchase by the small time investors which are majority in the crypto community.

that's for $1 million and more price levels that we need that kind of mass adoption that you have in mind. otherwise for such low prices such as $100k per coin we only need a small adoption heading towards moderate one. it will be the continuation of the rise that we had so far and it will most probably be reached by the end of 2020 as the halving hype also helps fuel the next rally.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum supremacy and Satoshi blocks on: September 24, 2019, 09:30:02 AM
I tend to agree. However, we should keep in mind that government researchers may be years or decades ahead of the private sector.

that's true.
but also these things are "math related" and problems like that are usually solved in academic circles not by "government researchers" nor by "private sector". and so far all the academic papers have been trying to solve the ECDLP and optimize it but haven't been any kind of breakthroughs to make it any less secure.
quantum computing may increase the speed but i don't think it is enough to still solve it.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price prediction, Crypto Currency Journey Planning. on: September 24, 2019, 09:15:49 AM
you only need to do one planning for the "cryptocurrency journey" and that is to start educating yourself more about bitcoin only and stick to that ignoring all the rest of the hypes and FUDs. enjoy the benefits that bitcoin as the only decentralized currency can offer you.

as for bitcoin price prediction, we are in the starting steps for the next round of rises. that is why right now price is pretty stable with volume still at a very high level indicating the accumulation that is ongoing.
239  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [FULL GUIDE] API KEY - WHAT is it , WHY you need it and HOW to create one on: September 23, 2019, 08:47:05 AM
people who don't already know what something as simple as an API key is, should stay away from it because there is pretty good chance that touching it will lead to their loss specially these days that the internet is filled with lots of malicious websites and even malicious trading bots that fool people into giving them their keys (which is basically access to their funds) which they will abuse.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A quick disturbing question on: September 23, 2019, 08:21:53 AM
But if the token is get listed on the big volume exchanges, then I think the price will move for a little but not too big as they need more support from traders to buy and sell the token. We will see it later when the bull run comes so we can know what will happen with that token. Meanwhile, you could still hold the token and only wait for the next thing that will happen.

Does not matter to me, if you want organic support for the token,,, you have to look back at the past and see the lessons of some alts. They did zero marketing, and just listed themselves on DEX and allowed their community P2P trading and also then they carried on voting to list it at exchanges.

If you have a great project, you will get listed without paying.

Actually, things used to be the same as you said. If you were a good enough project and had community support, you could get the listing free of charge. But with Binance things started to change. In addition, the increasing number of projects was effective in this regard. With great community support like Doge coin, the project was listed in Binance two years later. DGB couldn't even be listed because of the money. So just being a good project is not enough. Now you have to pay good money, if you want to get listed on major exchanges.

exchanges only care about one thing and one thing only: making profit.

they can not make any profit from a coin that has an active "community"! the only thing that can give them profit is having a high volume. they didn't add Doge because of its community, they did it because the volume is usually decent and at that point in time it has been rising a lot.
it also doesn't matter if it is a good project or bad or even an obvious scam. as i said they only care about making money. that is why they listed shitcoins that were obvious scams, such as ICO scam tokens, scam altcoins, scam fork coins such as BSV and BCH,...
