So it was about submitting KYC. Yes, I agree with that, for a business to continue its services it must also follow the rules especially if it's about money.
I thought the issue would be, why are small gambling sites not being punished by these cases? Why Bet365? Probably because they are a large company and they can pay that much unlike how it goes with small betting sites where they will just be shut down. I bet they are being monitored every day so that whoever government jurisdiction they are in will have money again once they make a mistake. Unlike the mountain amount of small gambling sites that are advertising in social media which are probably not being monitored because they will get nothing from them. It's unfair for them and yet it continues.
I think it really depends on the jurisdiction where they operate or where they got their license. For example, bet365 has a license from the "UK Gambling Commission," which I believe is quite strict when it comes to penalties. However, based on the penalties they’ve received, it seems like they were for minor offenses. On the other hand, smaller gambling sites or casinos often get their license from Curaçao eGaming because it covers all types of gambling games on their platform. Aside from being affordable, I don’t think their oversight is as strict, especially in terms of player protection. This makes it attractive for many casinos to get their licenses from them, as the rules tend to favor the operators.

The top three holders of Bitcoin are the [1]USA, [2]China, and the [3]UK (based on ranking). They hold billions of dollars in Bitcoin. https://coinpedia.org/news/countries-with-the-highest-bitcoin-holdings-in-2024/However, the interesting thing about Bhutan is that most, if not all, of their Bitcoin holdings came from their mining operations. In contrast, the major countries mentioned mostly acquired their holdings through asset seizures. If you look at the difference, these major countries had an easy way of accumulating Bitcoin, using their power to seize large amounts with little effort. As for El Salvador, which became the first country to declare Bitcoin as legal tender, it's a great example of a true crypto-enthusiast nation. However, as of now, it seems Bhutan holds more Bitcoin than El Salvador.

Indeed, we are gradually losing it all to the regulators, just as the name implies they want to keep tabs on everyone's spending and how they make that money. I thought the vision for crypto casinos from the onset was to avoid this government control.
I am generally in favor of low regulation and low taxes but I have to admit that the gambling industry has not been very fruitful historically by regulating itself. In the end it will be like in the current fiat gambling rooms that give you a report of what you win or lose in each year, and they send it to the tax office as well, although it does not appear in the tax return and you have to fill it in. I think that in the future cryptocurrency casinos will be the same. One of the permanent things in the world is “tax,” so it’s never going away. Governments want to maximize their tax revenue as much as possible. Since regulations are starting to cover crypto casinos, it’s likely that the same tax rules will apply as they do to fiat casinos, or taxes on crypto might even be higher since it’s new. This could also be a way for them to encourage people to stick with fiat casinos, which are easier to regulate in terms of transaction inflows and outflows. As for reporting, I can’t relate too much because even though gambling is legal in our country and we’re supposed to declare our winnings and pay taxes, the lack of enforcement means we don’t really pay. So, in short, we can enjoy gambling without worrying about legal accountability and just focus on trying to win (which is still tough enough as it is).

This topic has been around for quite some time, and since Bitcoin fees are no longer high (at the moment), this thread is no longer relevant. Thanks to everyone who replied, but to keep the gambling discussion board clean, I’m locking this thread before the mods step in.

A short introduction from someone who wants to subscribe to their service for a fee.
You can try harder though, because people here aren’t easily convinced.

Whether it’s betting online or placing bets during the actual game, it’s always exciting as long as the bet amount gets you pumped. If you’re a gambler, you usually have a range where you feel that excitement. If you get excited with just $1, that’s great(less risk for you).
But personally, if I’m at a sports event with friends, betting around $50 to $100 would already bring some excitement. Of course, as I said, we all have our limits, so it’s important to stay within those limits without sacrificing the fun.

I don’t understand what part is the abused on this case.
That falls under abuse if they determine you’re exploiting their bonus offers. That’s how most casinos operate if they spot something, you’re lucky if you get the answer you want. Many casinos will use their TOS to avoid revealing the full details of the violation. In my opinion, only the casino can give you clarity on this. If we give an answer, it’s just pure speculation.

I’m waiting for the NBA season to start. So far, the biggest amount I’ve gambled on a single bet is $200, that’s really my max because it would hurt if I lost. Luckily, I won. But I’m planning to set a good amount for my bankroll, like $2000, and use it for long-term betting. My goal is to stop once I reach $10,000. It’s a bit of a risky experiment, but as a gambler, we need to have big goals but managed risk at the same time.

There are some players that are not even key players that have chosen to stay with their teams like Udonis Haslem.
Haslem, as a player, was mediocre. Personally, I mostly only remember him from the 05/06 season when the Heat won their first title. At that time, especially in the playoffs, he was occasionally useful to the team and definitely contributed some to that win. I think he developed a good relationship with the Heat management after that and that's probably one of the reasons why he was with the Heat for so long. In actually, the last few seasons of his career, he wasn't even a player but more of a mentor on the bench. he was already retired ; July 28, 2023 After the Heat lost the NBA Finals to the Denver Nuggets in five games, Haslem officially announced his retirement on July 28, 2023.
But of course, we can’t forget his contribution to the Heat’s championship run before. This player, while not heavily focused on offense, was a hard worker. Even though he’s not that tall, he could hold his own against centers. It seems like he really embraced the Heat culture and maintained it, which made him a great mentor for the team. Imagine, the Heat didn’t have many big-name players, yet they still made it to the NBA Finals twice..against the Lakers and the Nuggets. That just shows how strong their team culture (heat culture) and work ethic are.

The energy of the bull run is slowly coming back, so don’t be surprised if it pumps hard and takes us to the moon again. We've already surpassed the earlier projections. https://www.binance.com/en/price-prediction/bitcoinYear Price Sep 20, 2024 $ 62,923.09 Sep 21, 2024 $ 62,931.50 Sep 27, 2024 $ 62,981.99 Oct 20, 2024 $ 63,175.92

Interesting fight, but according to the betting odds now, it's unlikely that Munguia will loss. https://www.actionnetwork.com/boxing/jaime-munguia-vs-erik-bazinyan-odds-pick-prediction-friday-september-20Munguia Odds -1400 Bazinyan Odds +750 Over/Under 8.5 (-125/-110) Location Desert Diamond Arena – Glendale, Arizona Time (Main Card) 10 p.m. ET Main Event Walkouts Approx. 11:55 p.m. ET TV ESPN+ So I agree with what people are saying, this could be a cherry pick fight by Munguia, just like a tune up fight. He came from a loss against Canelo, so most likely he'll bounce back to reclaim his name, but I believe this isn't a championship fight, so Munguia even if he wins still could come not come back being a champion.

Today I received an email from someone claim to be customer care of BK8, the email tell me that I received a free balance worth 500k IDR.
There’s only one way to find out, check your balance and see if that amount was really credited. Sometimes casinos use partners for their promotions or bonuses, and they share our information. They even call us on our cell numbers at times, so let’s not get too carried away. It’s better to check first to know if it’s legit or just another scam.

Good thing I don't check my email often, so I'm safe from this kind of scam. Just kidding. Seriously though, this is a huge problem, and the blame really falls on the government. How can people, especially those with money who are clueless about crypto or these specific scams, protect themselves? We all grow older (that’s just reality), but we shouldn’t stop learning. Nowadays, being old isn’t an excuse to stay out of touch with the latest technology trends. That’s the only way we can prevent ourselves from falling for these scams, and the government has a big role in educating everyone.

Take it easy, BTC, no need to rush. Looks like we're on our way to breaking the $72k high YTD... Just hold on, relax, and get your popcorn ready because we’re heading there. The bull run may have been delayed after the halving, but here we are. Most didn’t expect it at this time.. They’ll wake up once we hit $70k, because I believe we’ll reach an ATH this year, just like the last bull run, which usually happens in the last quarter and continues early into the next year. HODL! HODL! HODL! HODL!

Sometimes even the smallest news can make significant impact on the bitcoin market, and even as CZ is a notable personality in the cryptocurrency market, his return to freedom is going to spike some positive celebration among his fan, and others who may have gained from all his contributions to the entire cryptocurrency market.
He’s the founder of Binance, so he should definitely be considered one of the pillars of crypto. We all know that sometimes it's all about politics, which is likely why he got sanctioned so heavily, costing him a lot since he’s no longer the CEO of Binance. But even with that, he still has a big share in BNB, so he’ll definitely still enjoy his life even if he’s not running Binance anymore. Even though he’s technically not in control on paper, I believe he still has a lot of influence over Binance. *** I never thought that his freedom will come this soon, I thought he was going to serve longer than this and if the News of his release is true, this will mean a lot flr his career since he hinted on diving into new project's now that is off from the herms of affairs at binance.
Yeah, that's the thing, it's like people aren't excited, or maybe it's just not that significant anymore. Well, you're right, he can start a new project since he has the funds to get it going, and of course, the knowledge too. So, let's just wait and see. Hopefully, he takes time to enjoy first because he lost a lot in his life (power), so it's better to relax, reflect, and then come back stronger.

This year, I think the rate at which people fall into crypto scams has reduced compared to the previous years.
The year isn’t over yet, so we can’t say for sure. It usually depends on market sentiment.....like when things are bullish, people get more eager to invest, and that’s when scammers (like those running these kinds of scams) take advantage. Now all I see very common is a romance scam in which the scammer targets their victims, pretending to be someone else, to make them fall in love with them and build trust. Crypto currency is the only means used in sending the payment, but the scam itself is not a crypto scam. Unfortunately, they label it a "crypto scam" whenever it involves crypto. Here in my area, a lot of people got scammed by HYIP schemes that used Bitcoin, but they end up saying Bitcoin itself is the scam. Bitcoin gets dragged into it because of the scammers, but if people did their due diligence before investing, they probably wouldn’t have been scammed.

I came across this article, and it says: Changpeng Zhao, co-founder of Binance, is set to be released from US custody on Sept. 29, according to the US Federal Bureau of Prisons website. Zhao is currently serving a four-month sentence and was recently transferred to the Long Beach Residential Reentry Management (RRM) facility in central California. We all know about the issues surrounding CZ, but for those who haven’t been keeping up, you can check the article for the full details. So, based on this news, what do you guys think? Will his release affect the market? Do you think we’ll see a market dump or a market pump?

Yes, we wanted Tim to win, not a hater of Bakhram Murtazaliev, it's that he is a relatively unknown boxer to us and we wanted to see how this great boxers are going to match against each other at 154 lbs. Bakhram Murtazaliev though is the champion here and Tim is the challenger, but I still see Tim getting the nod from odd makers and he could be put at a slight favorite in this fight.
Honestly, I’ve never really been impressed with Tim Tszyu because from what I’ve seen, his opponents weren’t exactly top-tier, which is how he became champion. So when he lost to Fondura, I wasn’t surprised, I always thought he’d eventually be exposed. I even consider him overrated (sorry to say). For this match, I’m betting on Murtazaliev (the so-called unknown boxer) to pull off a huge upset. True, he was a champion for a reason, and now he’s got a shot at redemption against a champion to become unified. This might be his last chance; otherwise, he could end up as just another champ who faded away quickly. Personally, I think Murtazaliev is an underrated boxer, and if the betting lines are already up, I’d probably lean toward betting on the underdog, especially if the odds are attractive. Murtazaliev is undefeated, but with 16 KOs in 22 fights, he’s not exactly a high-volume puncher or a knockout artist. So I might go for him winning by decision, or maybe even Tszyu by decision. Either way, the odds for that are likely around x3+, which is tempting.

Giannis though said in the past that he doesn't want to join to form a super team, if I'm not mistaken.
But they’ve already built a super team, there’s no need for him to join on other team. With Lillard and Middleton alongside him, they’re already stacked. I’m not sure what their fate will be next season, but if they fail again, it’s likely their lineup will be demolish in the coming season. Forget about the super team era, things are different now. Teams improve through chemistry, like we’ve seen with the Nuggets (who won their first championship), the Wolves (surprising the Suns' super team), and even the Mavericks, who went to the Finals. I like this current trend more, compared to before when super teams dominated and we knew there was always one team in the East and West, like the Cavaliers and Warriors, with an 80% chance of winning.

We need privacy and anonymity than before.
Criminals already know who to target, so it's really important not to brag about how much crypto we're holding, especially if it's of high value. Just keep it a secret and let people do the guessing. Once our privacy is compromised, we can't protect our assets anymore, and in a worst-case scenario, they can be gone in an instant, especially if we're threatened with harm or something happening to our family. This isn't a rare occurrence either, I've read about similar cases many times. So lesson learned, be a crypto enthusiast, sure, but we really need to know how to manage the risks that come with it.
