2201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hits 500 GB size hard disk data on: November 28, 2022, 05:49:43 AM
Ideally, put at least chainstate on SSD, and use 4096 MB dbcache. With those settings, any modern computer should be able to sync the blockchain within a day. Assuming your internet connection can handle it.
1TB is enough for many years to come.

This is the simplest answer because you can save money and it guarantees you to use it for a long time because in the future hard disks will become cheap and when you need more space, you can buy them later. This is expected since there will be more users in the upcoming days and transactions are mostly multiplied and Bitcoin Core's data will also expand. This is also a good thing because the more people will come, the more we are guaranteed to last longer because there will be more liquidation, and bitcoins as assets will be more recognized in the future.
2202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad beginning for crypto beginners. on: November 28, 2022, 05:15:21 AM

Bad beginning never end up in good result ,rather  it ends in regret, waste of fund. The problem why some beginners starts investment in a wrong way is because they are too busy and think knowledge is time consuming.

People mostly are lazy when it comes to educating themselves and they just rely on one source and that's it! they will gonna invest in the project of choice. That's why they often ended in a hype project where it is a pump and dump coins. Then they will gonna put the blame on all the people in the crypto industry while there is no one to blame but only themselves. First of all, investment with money needs to be taken seriously, and taking time to read and expand your knowledge to prevent yourself from losing your money is more valuable than rushing to invest in a random project by blindly following promoters who are getting the job they are currently doing. In short, invest time before investing money.
2203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 28, 2022, 04:40:59 AM

After watching yesterday's mat h I have serious doubts whether Germany will reach the semifinals. I expected the match to be more thrilling but it was an average one. As of now France and England are the favourite. Brazil will be playing against Switzerland today and I don't think Brazil would have any issue in wining the match.
[/quote]

The games have been more unpredictable since the first day and Brazil should not really think they are the upper hand this time rather they need to focus on winning and take their opponent seriously and play their game as usual. As expected, these teams who won the championship in the past will gonna face each other in the championship because of their experience and I think despite Argentina losing their first win, they still have a chance to catch up and compete in the semi-finals.
2204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FTX drama stressing people for no reason | How to stay neutral on: November 27, 2022, 12:57:53 PM
Most likely those people that are hostile to Bitcoin will use this opportunity to promote their propaganda and some of their baseless theories. investors should know to distinguish between biased news and legit one because nowadays you always find some news that is against the original plan of Satoshi Nakamoto and their dragging every malicious and scam accusation on Bitcoin. They won't hesitate as soon as they see an opening to criticize Bitcoin whether real or fake news. We as supporters need to clarify it first to our friends and others to prevent them from believing this fake news.
2205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 27, 2022, 12:14:09 PM
Looking at the poll, there is a user here who voted for Ryo Akaho? Who are you and why did you choose him? Nah, just joking! Grin

I'm just glad to see that there's someone here who is in favor to the Japanese boxer and not John Riel Casimero, surprising enough but it is a good thing though because this means that there is indeed a competition here. Though I'm just not sure if he can really make some difference here because I'm seeing this Ryo as a local boxer which is kinda different to Casimero's league who is fighting in the mainstream.

Of course, that's why we have some times kinds of unexpected events where we see an upset because the supposed boxer will dominate his opponent is taking a lot of damage and is mostly stunned by an underdog opponent. This is a sport and with enough practice and skill to adapt to how to counter his opponents throughout the rounds will gonna his ace to win the fight. Casimero should not underestimate his opponent because he hasn't been in the ring for a long time and he might be caught by a surprise.
2206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will support Elon Musk if he creates a stablecoin for Twitter on: November 27, 2022, 11:41:14 AM
Zuckerberg and Elon is not very different when it comes to business. Elon ask $8 fee for a check mark for its KYCed account. He wants money also.

Creating stablecoin is not just about making money, its about regulation from the government. Tether alone has been bombarded by SEC also and the rest of the stablecoin is not safe. While Elon is already a controversial figure by taking over Twitter and attacking Woke, the more he'd be burying his head upon having a stablecoin.

I think he wanted to get as much and as fast as possible money he bought Twitter and this is his first move. Soon if he has some good plan, Twitter might change its course and will be successful but of course, it will be more wealth for him also. That's just a small amount and when people see the advantage of getting KYCed others will also follow them and will gonna pay. I think this payment will gonna increase gradually depending on the demand of the users who want it.
2207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A reminder about the media on: November 25, 2022, 08:37:59 AM

These media predictions is like a cricket toss with only two possibilities. It can come true also but you are right that these are not reliable. One should do his own research before investing in any coin.

Though this news is positive, we need to consider not following it blindly instead doing some personal research and not rushing to invest would be good. Right now we need to be careful not to fall into the trap of scam exchanges because the more they offer weird freebies, the more they have some big plan to steal our money in the future. except for those that are truly legit that won't gonna try anything to harm their refutations and continue serving their users the best thing they can offer to them. Also, we need to know how to distinguish hype news from real one so that we can avoid not to be carried away when investing.
2208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 25, 2022, 07:35:51 AM

It was surely a sad blow for the Kings but it happens, and even though their winning streak was halted there is a huge chance they can get into the playoffs, but this is really just an assumption because knowing the Sacramento Kings now, but before that 7 winning streaks at 1st they had a 4 losing streak, on the start of the season, but they are making progress in their play so let's just wait in what they will do next,

Just getting to the playoffs would be their best performance this season and surely they will gonna be torn against their opponents in their western conference because the Sacramento Kings this season is like the Memphis last season, even though there aren't any superstars in the team, they can surpass other teams that haven't played well even though they have all the necessary players to win a championship. If they can continue winning at such a rate, obviously their spot in the playoff tree will be guaranteed for sure.
2209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin survive the apocalyse? on: November 24, 2022, 09:13:53 AM
Bitcoins survived the pandemic and it even reached a new ATH record during that time. the crypto market is unpredictable, who knows maybe when the apocalypse happened fiat will no longer be needed and what's important is cryptocurrencies which you don't need any banks to keep nor any vault to bring when you have a huge amount of BTC in you. Just a sane mind to memorize your details and you are good to go.
2210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 24, 2022, 08:05:04 AM

Yes it is a shocking news and also unacceptable that Germany team will be lose against Japan. There is a tough match between both Germany and Japan Team. But Japan win by 2 goals. Many gamblers lost their big amount of money who choose Germany. Well played Japan.

That's just how good the game is and I think they weren't really prepared for what the Japanese can and they were stunned by their performance in the second half which surprise everyone again. But Spain didn't give any opening to their opponent and used every opportunity to further stretch their lead to win their first game in the World Cup. The next game is Brazil which is also the favorite team to win in their group.
2211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cloud mining on: November 24, 2022, 07:34:03 AM
The only legit cloud mining out there can only give you a small profit and it takes really long time to generate those unless you gonna pay a huge amount of money buying hashrates but this is risky because you never know if they gonna turn out to be scams in the future without getting back your capital. It's better to learn to trade than invest in this so-called passive income which has been red-tagged throughout the bitcoin years as scams and frauds.
2212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing $350,000 because of a friend, what would you do? on: November 23, 2022, 12:42:02 PM

Human instinct and it is a money matter. Maybe it's not just a punch, but with that huge amount of money, I'm pretty sure
that the anger will flow and maybe you won't be able to think the right way.

If your disappointment triggered you, might be possible that you will think of killing
The person even it is your friend. Huge amount of money can change everything.

I know some people who think the same way after they lose their money because of their close relatives and friends so those guys are now in hiding. People work hard to get that money and to lose it as simple as that, it would be a disaster unless the person is a multi-millionaire and maybe he will just do some light punishment maybe he won't ever want to see the person who loses that money again but if it's the only money he has and he becomes poor because of their foolishness, he might do the unthinkable because of his frustrations.
2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright's lawsuit against Kraken on: November 23, 2022, 12:09:53 PM
Wright hasn't proved he's Satoshi. He'll never be able to do it because he isn't Satoshi, so what's he after by going after Kraken?

Simply because he is not done with his pretentious about being Satoshi, and he is doing his thing right now. However, this is nothing because he has no authority to do so. He is just trolling around for his blind followers. I don't know why they even publish such news, but that is just how mainstream media is doing; they want to give people some confusion regarding bitcoins, and they are willing to publish any negative news and manipulate it as much as they want. It's better to stop caring about what he is doing because it doesn't add anything good, especially with the current crypto market situation.
2214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Solana rise again? on: November 23, 2022, 10:28:11 AM
As long as they sincerely develop their project to give their users and investors promising development, they will stay alive throughout this roller-coaster event in the crypto industry because they are willing to sacrifice some money to improve their service. However, when they only all talk and keep delaying their promise. In that case, they will see their investors migrating to another promising project in the market, leaving them with fewer and fewer investors every month, which will become the exact reason for their fall. This is what happened to some failed projects out there and they all cannot bounce back since they lose the trust of their investors.
2215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 23, 2022, 09:35:57 AM

The Kings are indeed the best team in Cali now. It's really very surprising to see the Kings being in the top seed when we usually see them at the bottom for more than a decade.
It looks like they are a perfectly created team this season and the light beam gives a little confidence boost?

On the other hand, the Lakers are now back to reality. They just cant beat a team above .500 and the "trade LeBron" jokes just officially ended today lol.

They are really improving this season and they seem not to care about whose team they are gonna play in the next game. This kind of chemistry is more important than having some star players on the team that is not doing their job like how they used to do in their last teams. To be honest, the Sacramento Kings are really the most exciting thing in the NBA right now and hope that they will gonna win against Atlanta in their next game and proceed to play against the Boston Celtics with 8 wins streak. That would be an insane game to watch.

2216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What feature of Bitcoin do you think is most difficult to understand? on: November 23, 2022, 09:03:26 AM
When you send transactions from other countries easily, this is one of the common use of bitcoins and for me, it is underrated because only a few talk about it. When you are having a hard time sending some money from abroad to your families, you can try bitcoin and it's really convenient to do so assuming the receiving parties do know what they are doing. Also, its usefulness when it comes to payment when you don't have any money at the moment, Bitcoin can really be used as an alternative payment as well.
2217  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Ongoing Coinbase phishing attack and other exchanges on: November 22, 2022, 01:35:46 PM
Most of these phishing links are sent to our emails and most of them are really tempting to click such as this one.

I think I gonna change my personal email again because this one seems not safe anymore. That's why we won't just loosely use our personal emails in some random giveaways or else this kind of bad thing happened.

2218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To those who do not care about their privacy. Why? on: November 22, 2022, 12:37:56 PM
I think some of the people that had passed their details to some exchanges are in a rush and only found out the danger of sending their personal information to the internet, later on, most of them regret it. That is why before doing anything in the crypto industry, it's better for you to learn more and equip yourself with enough knowledge in order to avoid any danger that could damage your reputation in your community with a crime you haven't committed. Because if your KYC details will be sold to some notorious scammers and they will gonna use them for their crimes, you will get involved and it's a long process to explain to the cops that you are innocent about it.
2219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: November 22, 2022, 09:23:32 AM

If that so, this will really be a pure entertainment and that will make fans to enjoy more the show.

But if those are celebrities, I can't imagine how they will able to score a certain round hehe.

I think it's just for entertainment and obviously, Pacquiao still can execute powerful punches because he is not that old anyway, remember how he knockdown Algeiri? that one is really2x bad. I hope this is just mere entertainment, I cannot imagine if he does the same for this guy. I mean, he will wish that he has not approved this fight. Anyway, fighters like this dude already know the possible outcome if he actually gonna fight Pacquiao in real, he has all the necessary time to practice how to avoid those powerful punches and outspeed Pacquiao's jobs.
2220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I hardly have up to $100 again in all my fait bank accounts since I joined BTT on: November 22, 2022, 08:32:56 AM
This is why they're doing everything they can to stop the spread and the popularity of bitcoins all around the world because when people realize the true usage of bitcoins, all of those banks will be closed and no one will gonna trust their money to the banks. That's why they always come up with some of their so-called concern and they also link global warming to the crypto miners. This is how desperate they are because the damage will be clear to them once everyone will put their money into bitcoins rather than putting it to the banks for the banks to use as capital for their hidden businesses.
