1441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 11, 2023, 12:40:00 PM
Good news for Lakers fans: the injury of Davis is not serious, so he can play in game 6, giving them a chance to close the series. However, if the Lakers lose, I'm unsure if they can still win on the road, considering the last two dominant victories by the Warriors on their home court. Curry has been consistently performing, and Green's new approach of attacking the paint has made the Warriors more unpredictable.

The two teams played well tonight despite their situations of close to getting knockout in the NBA playoffs. the GSW and the Knicks need to do everything they can to force game 7 because there will be no considerable chance such as this one and they cannot assure that they can easily get back to the NBA playoffs next season so they really need to put everything in their next game. The GSW has no doubt played well last night and you can see at their rotations that they are well prepared and know exactly what they need to do to win that game. Let's see if they can win the next game because they are playing on the Laker's home court next time.
1442  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is it ethical for a company to have robots sell coins to humans and not know? on: May 10, 2023, 02:05:06 PM
-Soon there will be no truck drivers/taxi drivers.... self-driving cars
-Soon there will be no warehouse workers.... thanks Bezos
-Soon there will be no fast-food workers.... thanks Frybot
-Soon there will be no hotel staff.... robot maids/self-check-in
-Soon there will be no farmers... AI can do it better
-Soon there will be no actors/singers/movie stars... all replace by AI

These things will probably happen in the future because of ongoing studies and improvements that can make it into reality and we have the clear evidence now because we don't really expect that a mere chat can answer almost all of the logical questions out there including medical and rocket science things. The self-driving vehicles will be the next ones to appear and although we are seeing them as failed products this year, they still improving a lot and they are going fast with their improvement so, in the upcoming decade, we will see lots of major changes because now that this becomes a trend everyone wants to make their own version of it.
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 10, 2023, 01:20:44 PM
Looks like I was dead wrong about this Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76Ers game. I thought the Celtics would handle them easily on their home court but this game has been ugly. Boston can’t hit the side of a barn with their shots. No way you can win a game in today’s NBA when you’re shooting ~30% from the field and 25% from three point range…

They are on the brink of getting knockout in the NBA playoffs same as the Phoenix Suns because they kinda blowout their chance to win one of the most crucial games of the series and they ended up getting huge pressure on their upcoming games. Tomorrow the GSW will gonna try their best to stay alive but the Lakers will not let them and will need to stop them in game 5 because they cannot afford to make GSW create momentum which will gonna make them regret and struggle to win game 7 of the series.
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Unknown Exploit Drained Over $10M in past 5 months on: May 10, 2023, 12:08:29 PM
I have been following his thread on Twitter and it’s scary what he discovered. Apparently there were some people whose cold storage and hardware wallet funds were also drained. And he still can’t find the flaw.
Many ETH ICO tokens which were never moved were also stolen and these were OG unlike new retail users. Only thing I can think of is the last pass hack and they kept their seed hosted there. Since the hacks started around that time.
This is very terrible, if it's like this there is no safe place to store the assets that we have.
When storing on a centralized exchange, sometimes there are also feelings of anxiety because large exchanges cannot guarantee that our assets are safe either.

I think there was an incidence where they got hacked like this before and the culprit hit the Google DNS or cookie, I'm not sure but I remember there wasn't any problem with the Ethereum network but the hackers put some malicious software into Google DNS that they were able to get the users private key and stole their ETH. it was huge because lots of people quickly withdraw their ETH and others lose their trust to invest in ETH because their funds were stolen quickly. I think they were able to fix it for about a day and they were able to find the source of that hack.
1445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin from 2009 on: May 10, 2023, 11:17:47 AM
If that's the only clue you have obviously there is an almost impossible chance to retrieve it but as long as you really have that bitcoins stored somewhere, you still have the chance to get it back someday. By the way, you haven't told us about the amount of bitcoins you had back then, why not share it here as well so that others might have some idea of how they will going to help you?

But honestly, the only one who can help you this time is no other than yourself because you really need those memories to put the puzzle and finally get to where you leave your bitcoins.
1446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Vincent Astrolabio WBO 118lbs Title (May 13) on: May 10, 2023, 10:50:09 AM
For Vincent Astrolabio this fight is not really that hard because he used to fight that kind of style of opponent all the time and also a good exposure for him since Moloney is a worthy opponent to give his all. He needs to put on a show here because this is his chance to shine and might be the best way to train harder to beat Moloney.

Pilipino boxers are always known for upsetting their opponents being an underdog and this one is no exception only in Vincent Astrolabio will gonna work harder in his training because if it's not, he will be the one to lose this fight.
1447  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More exchanges shutting down, Hold your Asset with You on: May 09, 2023, 04:54:49 PM
One thing I fear about centralized exchanges is when they gonna hold your crypto assets without letting you withdraw outside their exchanges. this is what happened to me with Okex back then and I think if I'm not mistaken, it took about a month before they let anyone withdraw thankfully I kept my XRP there decent amount and when they disable the withdrawal it is as if I am hoarding my XRP and 1 month has passed the price increase and thankfully my gain has increased to that time. But the worst-case scenario is when the price has increased and they will never let you withdraw your crypto assets. that's why take advantage to store it privately instead of letting them do the task which will gonna make you regret it if the same case will happen to you.
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 09, 2023, 01:25:08 PM

Tapales deserves a big fight, and I hope he will get the opportunity to fight the winner of this fight, especially if the champion goes directly into a unification fight. The bantamweight division has been very competitive since Inoue left, and it's exciting to see that we don't know who will win the fights between champions. If Inoue were still in this division, it would be easy to predict the winner since he is a very dominant boxer.

Due to his nice performance surprising his opponent to win the title in his last fight, he truly deserves a real contender this time so that he will be well prepared and gonna consider training harder than before because he is now starting to make some noise in their current weight division. And if he can show a great performance that will gonna shock the boxing world in his next fight, he will instantly gain huge numbers of fans that will gonna make him an instant celebrity in boxing. This is his chance and only a few names have reached this stage so far, he better not slack off and waste this chance to create his legacy in boxing.
1449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Confident Are you With Altcoin In This Time on: May 09, 2023, 12:02:04 PM
Just like before, you need to do your own research first before you can gain some confidence regarding certain altcoins because there will be no other thing to consider other that. When you talk about investment in altcoins, you are taking more risks than investing in bitcoins especially when you choose those altcoins that are only new to the market because they might not gonna become what you think in the future because if the Devs are only talk, they don't do anything about developments and updates and also to consider innovating their project to compete with their competitors, you will end up only investing in a shit coin which will not gonna improve and rise its price in the future.
1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 09, 2023, 11:17:56 AM

That kid is clever; he was very clutch in that game. With his lack of experience in the playoffs, I didn't expect someone like him to step up in such a huge way. The Warriors surely weren't prepared for him, and I'm sure they'll be figuring out how to defend against him in the next game, as he did a lot of damage. Actually, the Warriors could have won that game, but unfortunately, they aren't the same team anymore and can't protect their big lead, as the Lakers can easily come back with a big run of their own.

Truly Walker was stunning the GSW in that game and they can do anything about it because of how he surprise them, he shoot the ball without hesitation as long as he is wide open and you can also see how LBJ trust him to shoot the ball. Good for them they managed to hold their late comeback lead in the last 2 minutes and that was a truly amazing game because the GSW was not gonna give them easy game on that one and they struggled to catch with them until Walker took over in the 4th quarter.
1451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich on: May 09, 2023, 10:29:18 AM
Those who get rich by investing in bitcoins have multiple sources of income, so they don't have to worry about where to get some money after they decided to hold bitcoins. Others don't even know these rules and just go to rush on their investment without a second thought or don't have any other source of income. most likely they used all their money and some of them even go overboard by selling property which in the end they regret about it because they are not gonna make some earnings fast rather they need to wait for years in able for their bitcoins price to surely grow. That's why most of them quit before even getting to witness their bitcoins price increases its price multiple times.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: May 08, 2023, 04:42:18 PM
As expected, Canelo will dominate the fight although John Ryder also earn my respect.  He fought toe to toe against Canelo.  I thought the fight were finished when John Ryder goes down on the round 5 but Ryder is able to stand up and survive the fight till the last round.  I can say John Ryder is one tough fighter, despite of the broken nose in the early round, he managed to survive until the end.  I thought that knockdown will be followed by several one but at the end Alvarez can't finish John Ryder via KO so he needs to  rely on the UD.

It's obvious that he gonna win the fight after that knockout and also clearly in the rounds Canelo dominates the fight, he was fast and threw heavy punches that made Ryder act like anyone who was in a confused state when facing a stronger and more high-level opponent. Canelo fulfilled his promise to give his countrymen the fight they really wanted to watch and I think Guadalajara, Mexico people will not gonna ask for more since their man has won and maybe his next fight will gonna be in the US again where real contender can't wait to fight him.
1453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin Was the Only Cryptocurrency? on: May 08, 2023, 03:42:39 PM
If it's the only cryptocurrency that existed until today, I think it will never change the way we have seen it today because the same idea of why it has been created is now what we are seeing. therefore, as we are witnessing bitcoins is the only accepted payment in online stores and also the price will surely multiple folds than today because of no competition also the government has a hard time shutting it down but they will never gonna succeed because when everyone is focus on bitcoins development they will surely create more concrete fence that will never gonna break by the government laws all around the world.
1454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: May 08, 2023, 01:27:43 PM

MAIN EVENT
John Riel Casimero vs. Fillipus Nghitumbwa

UNDERCARDS
Takeshi Inoue vs. Weljon Mindoro
Jun Ikegawa vs. Carl Jammes Martin
Ayumu Hanada vs. Vince Paras

Looks like we have some decent undercard fights as well and these guys might be the next superstar in boxing they just need to show some impact in this one because this is their chance to shine since Casimero is famous enough to be watched with millions of viewers all around the world especially in Asia. It might be not the best opponent he could have but it is a chance to prove to himself he can beat anybody here in this weight class and he needs to be getting a stronger opponent than Nghitumbwa. I predict an early knockout because Casimero is hungry for a multimillion contract but in order to have that, he will need to win this amazingly than ever before.
1455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Using AI to fight war. on: May 08, 2023, 12:36:19 PM
I see how the technologies evolve at an alarming rate because this AI only will gonna remove millions of people from their job because most of those jobs will be no longer needed anymore because everything most likely will be automated with the help of AI. Therefore, the good thing to do is learn a lot about AI or just basic things about it because once they gonna get to your job, you know what to do next and you will gonna have some extra knowledge that will make you advance from the others regarding these new changes.
1456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm getting tired of the high fees for gwei on: May 08, 2023, 11:45:06 AM
I think it’s because of the recent meme coin craze which led to increased transactions on the ETH chain. It’s caused fees to be much higher than usual. I think the average gas fee is $45 right now, it’s ridiculous but it’s how it works. Maybe hold off on sending until the inevitable meme coin collapse results in less liquidity & volume.

This is the norm even in the last times when the NFT games are trending the transaction fees are crazy. even though they had already done multiple updates, it seems like they cannot remove this problem because they are obviously gaining with it and they taking some advantage of the users who don't really pay attention or who don't really care about it because for them those amounts are nothing and just some norm. That's why the other competitors are taking advantage of this but they seem having a hard time breaking the throne of Ethereum because until now they haven't managed to beat it in terms of price.
1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 08, 2023, 10:56:19 AM

And this is what we come for, although everyone is interested on the match up in the West, but I think the Sixers vs Boston is a good series as well and maybe  the winner here could eventually become the NBA champion, just my speculation.

I'm rooting for the 76ers to win the series because of James Harden, the guy has been playing well till today and he just can't get through to get back to the NBA finals again but this time his chance has increased because of Embiid playing well and maybe when they gonna win the next game with of course from the hard battle against the Celtics, they will gonna easily win it next series because the opponent is not that hard to beat though but they need to get through the Celtics first because they are right now facing the hardest playoff opponent in a series this year.
1458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why can't regular flash drives store Bitcoin on: May 08, 2023, 10:30:04 AM
You can store your Bitcoin on a flash drive but it depends on you how you protect your wallet.
There is no problem with storing BTC in a flash drive just make sure that you know how to protect your wallets from any attacks.

Well said, because others only rely on the hard wallet instead without learning the basic things they need to protect their crypto assets in their wallet, in the end, they will quickly get fooled by some tweets that are scams and fraud. If a person really knows what he is doing in terms of his security against any hacks, he can also use paper wallets if he is not capable of finding any source to get any hard wallet or the like of it. Therefore, it all depends on the person and all he needs to do is to equip himself with knowledge and invest some time to learn the preventive measures to avoid scammers and hackers.
1459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin overshadowed by economic lie on: May 07, 2023, 07:45:57 AM
That's because whenever there's a ponzi scam that used bitcoins or any cryptocurrencies as their main props, the media will take the advantage to highlight the name bitcoins in headlines as if it's the main culprit to scam those people but in reality, bitcoins and crypto are also victims of the said scams. The majority of people who see that will gonna think not to go near whenever bitcoins are talked about and they will miss the opportunity to invest and also lose interest in whatever good you said about it. But those who know the reality won't gonna paid much attention to the mainstream media rather they'll do their own research and ignore what other people say especially those hostile against bitcoins.
1460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 07, 2023, 04:46:19 AM

It has already become a major problem, so it's timely to revise the rules and impose more serious sanctions on players who violate their agreement. The PBA should still be considered as the biggest basketball league in the Philippines, and although I'm in favor of revising the penalties or sanctions, I think they should also consider the salaries of the players and ensure that they remain competitive with the current standard.

I saw that there were multiple players who were fined for playing outside the league and that's just how it is because they are already on contract and maybe they think they will just get away with it because since then, they were doing this and nothing has happened but right now, the PBA has chosen to tight the rules and become strict because they have all the power to do so and that's really a good idea because those players are in total advantage when they play against those amateurs opponents and surely give them hard time but after this incident, they will back to playing with their old competitors which are in their levels.
