A small statistic: It's one of those times, that when I stare at this thread, I don't have to check the charts for the price. I just look for Shroomsy's posts. If he has more than 2 per page, then the price goes straight flat. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I just adore this stuff. I wish I had the time to get involved and get lost into it's oblivious world of fantasy. I will join but I guess I will be able to do nothing but lurking across the land watching knights and sorcerers create their glorious armies! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Good luck to everyone; have a great time!

is this coin still controlled by claymore?
Why do you say that? Are there any numbers about the percentage of coins being generated by the claymore miner? so the game is still the same? percentages from miner go to one man? no other gpu miners out there? There's been open source nvidia miner for several months, and there is also a russian miner (kminer) which has a much lower fee (0.7%) and supposed to have faster speeds as well, for last month or two. There are plenty of available options, but IMHO, there's not much of a difference between a GPU and a CPU really. My i7 generates as much as my 5970.

What is your point? Seems like you are all over the place when talking about mark and the "theft" or "bug".
I watched the documentary and all I see is a scammer.
Not a conspiracy theorist here, but to my understanding he (bitcoinvest) has a point. Watched the documentary too and all I saw was a perfectly settled up company and a rather cautious CEO. Something here does not fit. This can't prove anything though. Nor it can argue with the fact that his company is responsible for all the losses. I'd carefully watch for MtGox news in the future. Something tells me that we're not done with MK or his company yet.

there is 0 reason to move the price down, at this point, the news has been good, china and gox are behind us, TAX has been paid
Well, not sure that the news have been good. For the public who is not committed to Bitcoin, ApplePay sounds like a formidable competitor. MtGOX is still not over, in several senses: [etc, etc, etc...] If China is still in control, then it is not surprising that there was no recovery after the October 15 tax deadline. You claim to have a learned background, but a fundamental of science is that you should not and can not pretend away evidence and retain credibility. When assessing the fundamental value of Bitcoin, this is the single most important basis to work from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metcalfe's_lawMt Gox, Oct deadlines, Apple Pay, Chinese speculation all serve simply to create blips in the Bitcoin megatrend, they are irrelevant long-term. In fact, Bitcoin should observe Metcalfe's Law in its purest form because it is not hampered by language differences. Money, like sex, is universally transacted. Metcalfe's and Gresham's Law are in effect when it comes to Bitcoin. For the second one we will just have to wait for one big economy to regulate it. What startled me back when I've first learned about it, was how on earth ONE person had the ability -and knowledge- to know EXACTLY how this will evolve. Turned out that I knew far less than what he did. For your consideration (even though I'm sure that most of the old farts here know this right from their heart): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gresham%27s_law

Sometimes we miss the target and we fail to see the canary in the coal-mine go first. We're looking elsewhere. The global economic canary is Greece. There's a nice article from a well known economist here (in Greek) please use translation for English readers: http://www.toxwni.gr/xoni-apopsi/dimitris-kazakis/item/27708-pame-olotaxos-gia-pagkosmio-krax-me-proto-thyma-tin-elladawhich more or less predicts a worldwide scale economic crash. NY is reporting similar things but at a lot lower scale: NYSE MAC DESK by Charles Brown 15 OCT 2014 | 10:07 AM | Posted by: Charles Brown Market Flash: Market Down From The Trading Floor: Stocks are trading in negative territory this morning as weaker reports on retail sales and manufacturing data added to concerns that economic growth was slowing

I find extremely frustrating the fact that IMF and JPM are SERIOUSLY considering BTC and Blockchain as a financial way towards their future. I can't HODL BTC under those circumstances. It's not ethical nor sane. Should I SODL?

Doesn't mean it's ALL europeans fault buddy. Plenty of places were colonised with the natives treated like shit and turned out just fine.
... for the natives? ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) exactly what I meant... eventually things turned cool, but not for natives. take South Africa, and most countries of north Africa as an example. Singapore,Hong Kong,Australia,The USA,Bermuda,India,Malaysia With the best will in the world, I think you really need to read about the history of the places you've mentioned. The indigenous peoples there did not, as you seem to be implying, enjoy the arrival of foreign colonials who enslaved their poor, robbed their rich, usurped their leaders and dominated their territory for decades, ultimately diluting and/or utterly overwhelming their cultures entirely. If you'll forgive me I'm going to bow out of the conversation at this point. I'm pretty sure trying to educate racists and the innocent-but-ignorant the Internet isn't in my list of things to do. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) @mmitech I enjoy agreeing with you so profoundly on this one. I don't think that happens all that often - a pity the topic isn't related to BTC really. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) But seriously, I wouldn't waste your breath on these people any more. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) A wise decision from a wise person... ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

This sounds like fun. Interestingly though, something similar has happened to Valve a couple of years ago where they hired a well known economics professor to contemplate their introduced virtual currency. The guy has posted an extensive article back then about his findings and -believe it or not- this is the way towards creating a more robust economy. By beta testing it within virtual environments. If this is the case, well done Risto. If this is not the case, please consider the possibility. Cheers and... Watching! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
