2201  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 25, 2021, 11:58:01 AM
Sorry, it took quite a long time to post again here. Really had a hard time IRL because I got sick and needed to be isolated from my family and work. If you noticed, my posting rates are down because of this and what I’m going through personally, and I do hope you guys understand that to be part of a signature campaign like this is important to me because it helps with my personal expenses.

I know this shouldn’t be an excuse, but this is really what happened and it’s my fault for not posting and updating for a while and I hope that I’m making it up to you guys by posting here.

If you guys are interested in my tests, here it is. I could send the result if you are interested. Thankfully it’s now negative, good for the holidays.

Back to the main point

Here is a link for my expenses.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PupnusqpO1FJIWPztyX0SfdGYcCubIbF94e3jldW3Fo/edit?usp=sharing

This is a copy of the spreadsheet that was posted, and I just copied my part on it.
It’s going to be quite different from what is previously posted because I haven’t seen the receipt back then and I had to search the internet first for the prices of the items I included in the package.

The balance that I received and converted to PHP

For the receipts, I did manage to recover some. The thermal paper in supermarkets always has this tendency to fade right away.

You can see the breakdown in the spreadsheet.

You know, I was really trying to help because my intention for this is good and to be tied up and accused of different stuff feels so demotivating. It just made it feel even sadder and harder to defend if all they see is the negative ones and not praise the ones that have been done already.

You know the sad thing about this is that once you thought of somebody not logging in, it’s already a burned account or something but that’s not always the case. Thank you to those who have posted good stuff first and try to understand at first why it’s happening. It’s really what makes the community amazing, TBH.

I do hope to continue this and possibly with better guidance at the helm to prevent this situation again. Together as a community, we aim to be better and help a lot more people in the future.

Happy holidays to everyone.

2203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most speculative altcoin of the moment on: December 19, 2021, 11:21:12 AM
It does look intriguing to have to invest in the mainstream altcoins that we have now, especially the ones relating to the metaverse vision by almost everyone. I'm always bullish on the NFT games with tie-ups or related ones. It's incredible to see how much it could be viewed upon once it has risen to the occasion and prove that it's the right coin. As of now, the NFT game I'm looking forward to is Illuvium. ILV. Definitely not an advice.
2204  Other / Off-topic / Re: Thoughts on the Metaverse craze ( for concerts ) on: December 19, 2021, 08:19:19 AM
I think the idea is there entirely, it's just that the execution needs work but it's definitely progress IMO. It might not be the best thing yet but maybe will get there. I think the whole idea of the metaverse is good with all that's happening but it's going to be a challenge to make everyone like it because it's different when it comes to the real thing. It can improve for sure but it's a start.

I didn't know that it's already being offered like that though.
2205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun Is Retiring From Tron. on: December 18, 2021, 06:19:48 AM
I agree with what he wants that entirely relying on the U.S. market will lead you to more uncertainties that could negatively impact your life. I am curious about what he could do with his influence in the crypto market. It's no joke that he has a lot of things that have been done in the past, but I think it has helped crypto somehow.

For the growth of Tron, it would depend on who will lead it for sure.
2206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play2earn games on: December 16, 2021, 01:03:59 PM
Play to earn games are quite new In a sense of what we have been doing over the past years with how games are being played. Previously, it is all about paying to play but now you play the earn because there are a lot of people not able to give money to play the game and find investors and they have the opportunity to invest in something that could profit and benefit with them in the long run.

The area is quite new so there are probably going to be a lot more games to be created and probably have better and more rewarding type of game.
2207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warning regarding Luckywins on: December 15, 2021, 04:05:27 AM
Upon looking upon the site. It does look legit, and it seems legit. Not just some made-up casino site that is preying for your money and never let you withdraw the balance kind. But I would never check if I couldn't read this the validity of a license of the online casino.

Is there some way that you could verify the validity of their license on your own? Maybe do it with various casinos that have those types of licenses as well?

I think this is where blockchain could come in and save the day with all the licensing issues and easily verifiable if there is.
2208  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it a crime? on: December 14, 2021, 11:54:44 PM
If you want to improve your grammar and the way you are going to post, I suggest using an app like Grammarly, and then you can post and see the needed replacements on the words or possibly punctuations that you need to add to have a good post in English. Even capitalization would be good. It has a plagiarism checker if you want to make sure you haven't copied anything all over the web.

That's not plagiarism if you are the one who created it and just let someone fix your grammar. But then again, if you have to pay, maybe you can use what I suggested above.
2209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading platform on: December 14, 2021, 04:16:54 PM
I'm thinking of starting out as a day trader. I'm still scouring the internet about information and tips about it, then I'll practice with paper trading.
This would probably be a great idea to have a great feel on what you could do when you're trading. It will definitely be different if you use real money instead of "fake money" with trading because that's when the emotions would set and sink in.

One question I have is about popular platforms/exchanges. From what I know, day traders make about 100+ trades a day.

Won't taker/maker fees basically wipe out your already slim profits?
That would depend on your exchange and what order you are going to use. Usually, you can get rebates when you use limit orders compared to market orders. This varies on exchanges and it would basically be dependent on the time you are going to close your trades because that's what would determine your profit. It would be something that could be big or slim.

Why would you even close your position if it's not enough to cover your fees anyway?
2210  Economy / Gambling / Re: Comparison between bitsler and stake on: December 14, 2021, 04:04:16 PM
I have played with both of the sites, and I must say that they have their advantages and disadvantages. I think this is biased with what you are trying to do, but I guess it has merit when that happens to you. I'm just having a hard time understanding everything about the copying. I don't know what specific things you are talking about, OP. Like is it everything that Bitsler does is copied?

Why only Bitsler you are attacking? Other sites want to take and take, assuming you also think that other sites are like that? Did you lose a lot of money there?
2211  Economy / Economics / Re: Robert Kiyosaki expects a market crash and economic crisis - do you believe it? on: December 14, 2021, 09:49:18 AM
We had just come from a market crash last year, and I think to reach that point again can be quite inconclusive. It's not that it's not possible, but do you think the world can still take it? I'm curious about what could trigger it again. Is it going to be another pandemic or another typical problem that we humans must face?

I'm assuming he is enjoying the current market trend now if he could buy a lot of crypto at a low price.
2212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitsler's NWOBitcoin is a power hungry maniac. on: December 14, 2021, 08:31:22 AM
It's hard to combat a moderator in any situation because they have power over you. But I think it's unfair not to show the chat fully where it started. Like when did the user, who insulted you, and then how you became a "baby," as the insult puts it? I think you are asking for the mod to ban the first insult, which makes sense, but you, on the other hand, going and calling him a prick probably triggered something in him that made him use his powers over you.

You were probably triggered as well with all that has happened. I suggest you calm down and assess it slowly.
2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the fundamental tool for economic liberation/independence on: December 14, 2021, 07:29:07 AM
That is what the country leader is hoping for, for sure. I think the vision that El Salvador's leader has been looking forward towards the rise in BTC. I believe with the support of the prices previously, and we can reach higher prices if it sustains the prices that we have. We will never really know what happens but hoping for the best can lead to a better future for its citizens. You'll never know when it's going to be the time when other countries follow suit, right?

With that, I think you can safely say that we will reach higher highs with that. BTC will be more and more scarce but still demanded.
2214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metaverse and blockchain on: December 14, 2021, 02:41:35 AM
Everyone is just looking for different ways to excite something and realize what the public wants. If the public wants it, that's going to increase in price, and that's how they will make money out of it. It's just like how it is IRL. It will be hype for a while and then dies down. That's human history for you. Now it's just that the information flows so fast that it's fast to disseminate.

Why won't it work with A.I.? Maybe it could be combined somehow?
2215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Using computers at work for mining - what if? on: December 14, 2021, 01:01:02 AM
I think there are some people who do this with their employers and that's sad. It's probably violating their code or something. They might be into doing some other shady stuff once they have started doing it. If you are, you're not probably gonna get a rewarding result if you try now. Better to use the mining power with an altcoin that's kinda worth it and still can be mined with those types of computers.
2216  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 13, 2021, 12:49:46 PM
I do hope that everything will go well here. Sadly, there wasn't any update with regards to the charity thread with any activity. But I'm currently helping compile all the transactions and ask for their breakdown with the funds that were gotten for activities. I have mine and just need to input it into the final spreadsheet. It would be easier to see how it breaks down if it's okay to use as a reference/copy the spreadsheet by Royse777.

As for some updates with charity, I have some remaining funds for the last remaining activity that I have reserved for the holidays. It will be on December 19. I'll update the charity thread by then.

I do hope everything clears out by then.
2217  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022 summer fed stop repo on: December 09, 2021, 01:36:41 PM
A lot of money has been flowing into markets and the fed has been borrowing a lot for sure and I think this could be devastating once it all collapses. What the fed wants is stability and with what they are doing, I don't think it can hold up to what they want. I hope no one gets so lost with their life savings here and be smart and use crypto. Let's see what happens in the coming months.
2218  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitVest, The worst casino I have ever seen on: December 08, 2021, 04:44:05 PM
I hope you find your way to become better and stick to your words on all the things you have posted. You always say that you won't play and you are butthurt because you lost in the casino, knowing that you could lose everything.

For the wrong transfer of coin, that's just your fault. You can never blame anyone else but you.
2219  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Possible Compromised Laptop With Seed in Password Manager? on: December 08, 2021, 07:18:07 AM
Does your password manager keep it offline or something? I know some password managers have the option to encrypt the note/file that you have stored and possibly keep it in another layer of security other than your master password. Have you done this? Maybe this could help your thinking if it's compromised or something. But I would still recommend you backup your stuff and possibly change PC or something. If you have this "just to be safe attitude,"
2220  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why should I use Kucoin over Binance? on: December 07, 2021, 06:53:00 PM
An essential factor for me is the information that they have on me. I agree with KYC things because it's necessary to protect your information. You need to be aware that it should be like that and if you have no problem with providing it then proceed with the next step.

Decide whether or not you want to have participation within the exchange itself. I see all the time Binance’s events with all the trading volume and buying promos with upcoming coins. This could be a deciding factor for you.

I'm quite biased because I am using Binance as my go to exchange, next to FTX. KuCoin is great for sure, it's just a matter of availability to you and convenience.
