It is also wise to have time allocation for crypto so that it won't consume most of your time, understand the basic and know when to expect profit instead of perpetual checking of your wallet.

Cheers

Working over 20 years still poor

Not working hard enough Tongue

Cool

Hahah this time around no body works hard to be wealthy, you can only work wisely to be wealthy or comfortable. Working wisely is when you are able to see the opportunities you have and going for it. Working hard is to put in your thinking cap and not to act sheepishly in the face of what needs to be done. Taking action is better than procrastinating. So this time around, the amount of muscle you have doesn't make any one rich, those who are rich are employers of labour.
2203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: August 14, 2023, 08:53:54 PM
To look at the term deeper, let us know what abuse means:

Quote
a·buse
verb
/əˈbyo͞oz/
1.
use (something) to bad effect or for a bad purpose; misuse.

From the definition, abuse is to use something to bad effect or for a bad purpose.  Now integrating it to gambling, gambling abuse, since gambling has something to do with legal procedures, any means of gambling abuse is illegal and that makes it a crime.  We can agree to disagree but the fact that gambling abuse means using gambling for a bad effect or bad purpose makes it an offense the the gambling regulatory board.  Now would do we still think that gambling abuse(except problem gambling) isn't a crime?  Regardless if gambling is prohibited or allowed, when it is abused it means the abuser crossed the line thus they should be held accountable for a crime of gambling abuse (except problem gambling).

I think from the standpoint of op's meaning of gambling abuse, he is not dealing basically on the dictionary meaning of abuse or literal meaning but he is looking at it holistically to gambling and not to law, illegality or crime and money laundary etc. He is talking about the abuse that bettors have now started leaving the entertainment aspect of gambling and leaving out the profit benefits to the entertainment and now focusing on using gambling as a source of income.
2204  Economy / Economics / Re: South Africa in trouble. on: August 14, 2023, 06:18:43 PM
Snip~
No mate, south Africa is no longer the economic hub of Africa, recent news from South Africa points to a more volatile state of things, as they have lost the will for peaceful co-existence, and also it important to take into account their relationship with another African country.

South Africa has a high record of violent attacks against foreigners most especially those from other African countries e.g. Nigeria, Ghana, and other English-speaking African countries name (Xenophobia).
If anything happens to South Africa economy, it is not going to affect African economy because already Africans there are complaining of harsh relation from the citizens of South Africa and the foreigners are already leaving their country for them and traveling to Europe and other countries. For the past 10 years plus, South Africa have been known with xenophobic attacks on foreigners, people don't transact much with them anymore and I read they are now struggling with their economy because some of their facilities are deteriorating like electricity. If they are to face sanctions from US and NATO, it will not affect African economy.
2205  Other / Off-topic / Re: Working over 20 years still poor on: August 14, 2023, 05:31:45 PM
The same work some do for 5 years and make it in life, other may do it for over 20 years and still feed from hand to mouth. Can we conclude that such are individual destiny?

There is difference between destiny and life style. That person who have made it from doing that job may have a life style of prudence but the person who is not making it from same job may have extravagant lifestyle. So this may be a reason that people who do same jobs don't achieve at same level. If you have the lifestyle of partying of course you will have to be a spendthrift and that means spending. On the other way, if you are the investment type, you witness financial growth.

https://punchng.com/forex-crisis-marketers-propose-n720-litre-suspend-fuel-imports/?amp

It would be better if you include a link of a news about it.

It would become worse and worse if Nigeria continue to depend on imports. Nigeria has crude, the largest in Africa, but they continue to depend on foreign nations.

My brother, you get the point. You see we have people in government that don't know their left from right. After Akpabio go still send "prayer" enter email  Grin

Dem just dey chop our money without doing anything. Na common sense say if you allow pressure on anything, the thing go begin do somehow. E dey for human being too, like if you make somebody important, na God's grace the persin no go cut of your nose and in this case dollar dey do sakara for naira. Na simple demand and supply rule na. Demonitize dollar, Naira go begin get value naturally. You want to deregulate when you are not producing anything, where dat one dey happen. The country solely depend on importation that is the only problem. Artificial deregulation is defined as when government dey carry their hand fix price  Grin Shocked
2207  Other / Off-topic / Re: The health benefits of Alcohol, Beers, Whisky and Red wines. on: August 14, 2023, 03:21:18 PM

I am also of the opinion that we do everything in moderate,  and alcohol intake should be based on high moderation since its consumption is easily abused by a high percentage of its users and having moderation in alcohol intake may only exist in words and not in practice.

I think the awareness is now on the increase regards to excessive intake of alcohol and the some of the negative effect it has to the body on greater consumption. Most people are beginning to caution themselves on their alcoholic behavior as it effect is tied to some illness that people of this time suffer. Living a moderate life is a way to stay healthy, nobody wants to die of what they are warned of.

More also I don't know what the benefit of Alchohol is in sexual activity since alcohol weakens the body's systems and makes you want to sleep,  and a sloppy man can't perform well in the other room with madam.

It surely has what it does good for the body but that is to moderation but I don't understand madam here  Grin Does it have to do with just madam?

Really the big question is, does alcohol really have any health benefits and does it really enhance sexual performance in some men or does it include women also?

I don't think it enhancement is to that you are asking but you can find that from google   Roll Eyes Grin
2208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: August 14, 2023, 02:15:14 PM

True , as soon as an user hits a big win or a jackpot , the bookies will obligate you to make KYC and that is completely fine as long as you don't have something to hide on your side.

Smaller withdrawals are not worthy for a bookie to make you complete the KYC but if you hit a lot of small win consecutive , at some point , you will have to make KYC to actually continuing to play there. Grin

This is not to be so because it could mean the casino already know that gamblers are only wasting their money by not winning big. They are suppose to keep it a flat regulation for everyone both big or small winner or they forget the aspect of KYC. When a casino set such rule, it looks biase like whoever wins big or a jackpot have done something wrong or has scammed and has to go through KYC. It is not looking nice for such biase rule. This is also the reason that some winners have complained when they win big and the tales of KYC begin to show up. Hence, it is better that bettors know the casino rule and if there is a clause on KYC to be done in the future, it is better to pass it before you start playing.
2209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: August 14, 2023, 01:33:27 PM

It became defeat when you took multiple losses and you as a participant doesn't learn anything from your experience. It's not always a one big pony gambling. Sometimes you got to take day offs to desensitize yourself. Because if you really think of it, winning is far more dangerous than losing.

IMO , defeat is not when you have taken multiple losses but when you have given up from playing such game then that could mean that you have been defeated . If you lose multiple games and times but you are keeping hope alive to win and then you keep playing, it means you have not been defeated but you are only recording some losses. Some people record huge loss but because they have not given up they win at their next try. However, it is better to give up and accept defeat when you are not making any profit after along time, that is healthy gambling mindset.
2210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: August 14, 2023, 09:59:03 AM

Gamblers suffer more defeats than wins, not because those who lose never win, but the money earned from wins is never saved to make good management.

I agree that the gamblers suffer more defeat than win but that doesn't mean there are no gamblers who have managed their winning very well and made judicious investment with them. The challenge addict gamblers have is that they go back staking when they have made huge jackpot instead of taking a break but if they have someone close who is able to have financial influence over them, they make good management of it. The wife for example who knows that the husband is a chronic addict, he tries to help him save and invest at the time he wins. Of course we know that those who are addict most times are free with money when they hit jackpot so in such cases those close to them do help them in investment incase of scarcity.
2211  Economy / Economics / Re: Would You Consider Adding Bitcoin to Your Retirement Savings on: August 14, 2023, 08:12:39 AM

Considering the flow of the Bitcoin market and news about Bitcoin, the increasing popularity and good projection of future adoption, I believe Bitcoin will continue to be profitable as long as the person knows when to sell his holdings.

Bitcoin is a good assets for the future no doubt but while we are hodling it, we also have to look at the profit margin that has been made within the time and we can sell to reinvest when the price is going up again. Some people only want to keep btc in their wallet for years without taking note that they could sell and come back again hodling. However, regards to retirement savings, if we could diversify between btc and real estate investment, we are sure that the old age is going to be a financially secured one because at old age you can't have the strength to move around like you were during the youth age
2212  Economy / Economics / Re: What's the effect of having plenty children to the national economy of a country on: August 14, 2023, 07:10:17 AM

Generally, when a family has financial issues, they will think of this thing themselves that they shouldn't have a lot of children because they won't be able to feed them all, but when a family has no such issues, they would barely think of the economic advantages or disadvantages unless there is an official rule of not having a lot of children.

I believe it has the positive and the negative like you have said also even from the family side. What happens in the family can affect or help the country but I think like the China example, it has helped their economy. Their large population help them to grow in technology faster than they would if only they were few because they increased in joining resources and creating research to grow their economy. Maybe now they have used family planning method to help reduce the rate of population growth but their numbers help to grow them also.
2213  Other / Off-topic / Re: The health benefits of Alcohol, Beers, Whisky and Red wines. on: August 13, 2023, 09:35:18 PM
The only benefit is to your mental health, not your physical health. Alcohol can lift depression temporarily and lighten the mood of a room, and good for social gathering. Alcohol should be consumed in moderate amount because it can be hazardous to health and damaging to the kidney. Red wines out of the whole category of alcohol is the best choice if you must consume alcohol, but still it still does not have to be abused as some people do very frequently and call it enjoyment. Drink and gamble responsibly.
I agree with the benefits of alcohol you just mentioned,  but the problem people do have with alcohol is that they abused it by taking more alcohol which can be a serious problem to the human organs that can later lead to death. Alcohol is not bad but very dangerous to the health, their should be limit to the intake of alcohol which can help the body to be in a better condition.  The kidney is one of the most important organ in the body and can be easily destroy by alcohol.

Moderation is the way to live our lives, not only alcohol that can cause damage to the body but eating unhealthy can also endanger us. However, the kidney is easily affected with alcohol because of the function it does in the body, like removing of excess fluid and alcohol itself is generating unwanted substance that overburden the kidney. It is better to eat and drink in moderation.
2214  Economy / Economics / Re: All millions are from real estate. on: August 13, 2023, 08:47:34 PM
There are many people working the real state market both big and small players, it is pretty much a classic in most countries. Getting deals as you describe is possible but it requires lots of time an work, and knowledge, so it is not as simple as getting some financing and jump in the market. Also, some countries have a better streamline of services for renting and refurb than others.

Yes it is not an area for novice to just jump in to start investing. It requires a lot of research to buy a plot of land that is not under duress or court litigation because they are some properties that could be under such circumstances but the owner may not disclose in details. So before commiting into payment, the buyer need an effort to make enquiry on the status of the property before such is done. There is a lot of due deligence in the purchase of landed properties and the documents need to be verified.
2215  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What factors affect life expectancy? on: August 13, 2023, 05:48:57 PM
Probably the biggest thing that affects life expectancy is, Jesus fills the whole universe. He wants us to use the things of the universe to live healthy lives. So, accepting Him is part of using-the-things-of-the--universe, because He is aware of everything and everybody.

Cool

Yeah, he said we should reference his name above every other name and that he is able to come to our rescue at all times, including when we are sick that he is the greatest healer. His desire for us is for good and not for evil. Therefore, we should feed subdue our world and harness all that will make us feel better in our life.

Life and healthy life and be free from bacteria   Grin That is the surest way to increase our life expectancy, don't feed on toxic and poor nutrition.
2216  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bureau De Change Asking Government to Ban Binance to Save Naira on: August 13, 2023, 05:33:45 PM

Since Aboki FX was the major parallel market decider before the coming of other foreign exchanges like Binance and other crypto exchanges, Well i don't also see how this could yield any positive result that can affect finance operations but then also this could call for more regulations of centralized cryptocurrency exchanges with the aum of taxation.

When Aboki FX dey, binance too dey but the thing be say binance don too popular now wey be say even kids of barely 12 years wey dey see their uncle run btc parole don sabi binance but no be CZ fault na, him arrange him exchange well with enough activities of any kind relating to crypto. Coming to Aboki FX, I think say Dem say the app na bad belle say e dey review the current price of Naira to dollar and whatnot, now Dem want face binance.

The problem be say the people wey dey run Nigerian government too corrupt, even though if angel dey among them, dey will still corrupt am. Make we just dey see the bow and go wey dey happen for Senate. How many of the people wey dey for government fit talk like Julius Malema of South Africa.

Them no sabi say if all the indices wey go help currency strong no dey, na south south remain for the currency  Grin Make dem still dey consume and no try fix production.
2217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling scenario that keeps repeating on you on: August 13, 2023, 04:55:04 PM

The most important thing is to play for fun and use skills and confidence in each game, luck will definitely be on our side.
Whatever the risks are, when we can accept and play with confidence, we will never feel a regretful defeat.

Fun in gambling is only when you are not playing with money or you only bet once in a while incase you are having an argument with someone and in that case you will not be considered as a gambler.

What skill are there in gambling? Certain gambling games don't require skill but only luck. Games like virtual soccer is totally gambling in fate that luck will turn your side. Most times gambling who play virtuals interpret it as a game that anyone can lose or be lucky to win. I hardly will think there is skill in gambling, even soccer predictions do fail .
2218  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the market still profitable for new projects? on: August 13, 2023, 03:34:26 PM

But there are many projects that are brought to the market in the current market and they only come with the hope of making some amount of profit. But I think that it is definitely possible to profit from the position of the market with any new project, it will mainly depend on the future of a project.

I'm sure we are going to see more coins in the market during the expected bull of next halving. Usually developers target to push out their project during this time because they know there are investors who want easy and fast money because of the hype of the time. So it is wise to also be careful in the investment at that time because some project that will enter the market will shortly be delisted from their exchange because of low volume.
2219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 13, 2023, 02:40:38 PM

Now when it comes to when did this flame started, I don't totally remember when and why because at first, I just thought that this is just a mere joke. Even now, I still think of the same thing.

Quote
The animosity between the pair appears to have been sparked by Meta releasing a direct rival to X called Threads, which saw rapid growth on its launch. Musk threatened to sue Zuckerberg's Meta, claiming he copied

I thought the fuse have already gone down after I saw this thread but saw it was bumped up and I checked google to see some current update about the two social media billionaires. Well if they are still heading towards giving their fans the physical side of them, sure they will make boisterous headlines and money to it.
2220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: August 13, 2023, 01:50:41 PM
The only thing the only way we can really leave and forget about gambling is to keep ourselves as busy as possible so that there is no time to play gambling," But I am unable to do this.

If you find yourself coming back to gambling after you have left it, it means the person is an addict. Although the reason that most people are stocked in playing gamble is because of multiplier effect that they wish even though some argue that they are gambling for fun but many people too have disagreed to that also. Most people who gamble are people who are less busy and seeking for job so it is a remedy to set a gambler with a job and their rate of gambling will definitely reduce
