It is true, for us to have a better control of the money, you only have to put a part willing to lose, and not break that rule, because if you do it, it is most likely that you will tend to fail, normally when something like this happens the player only thinks in winning and can make many mistakes that pay dearly. Many of the addicts' problems is that they spend more than they can afford.
yes! this is probably the easiest way to manage emotions when playing asking somebody to be your guardian angel somehow and help you to stop could work but you need someone with a lot of availability, may be harder to find.

yes, I get that and it's also much easier to bet on winners vs losers than trying to guess exact number of goals on the game the second option is waaaaay harder
I think the criteria they take to make the bets are super, however I first take into account the most technical criteria, that is, how the team is doing, the players, the possible line-ups, which player has injuries and lastly I take into account what that represents the team that I like the most, or the favorite, because obviously when our emotions come into play it can invalidate any analysis. this makes a lot of sense but still feels like the luck component is so high that sometimes must be hard to predict correctly, specially when we're talking about number of goals/points, not only the main winner or loser. does it make sense?

regarding betting, it would only make sense on championships, right? I mean, I wouldn't really play chess for money, unless it's totally for fun, because it's so unpredictable if you'll be able to win or not since it's a game that relies a lot on skill and practice

While that it is not a bad mindset, you also need to have some bankroll management. It is important to have fun when gambling, but even with a small wager per bet, it can deplete your bankroll very quickly.
In gambling you have to manage your funds properly because if you are not then at one point your funds will be depleted for sure. With not controlling yourself and looking at your budget wagering aggressively would end up your funds.Small gamblers might be betting with minimum amounts but if you don't have fund management then you will loose them all. Self-control and limiting the funds used for gambling are very important so that we do not spend much money just on gambling. Small gamblers may survive using that method but when they can win money, they may forget everything and instead use bigger bets because they think if they win, they will win a lot. Even if you bet small amounts, you could lose it all if you lose control of yourself and use or deposit more money to continue playing. And if it had lost everything, it would be difficult to recover it. the thing is: if you have a system you should follow your system no matter the condition but you are right that for some people it's harder to follow the system specially after big wins they get too euphoric and happy, go out running and get hit by a train (lose it all again)

Gamblers around the world use crypto and bitcoin to play the bets. Do they really care if the bitcoin prices dump hard? I know traders are directly impacted by this dump, and investors are also in panic but what about gamblers. Their motive is to play gamble and they may not be a concerned if the price of bitcoin is declining sharply?
Maybe for those who have been playing crypto gambling for a long time it has no effect on them, and I’m sure they won’t be bothered either because they know that kind of move in this industry. And then if anyone will be affected by this sudden fall in the price of bitcoin, it is none other than those who are new to this industry and do not yet have enough knowledge of cryptocurrency. What they can do right away is to release their gambling winnings immediately because they will think that Bitcoin will continue to collapse, which is not really going to happen. you are right, those who want exposure to crypto price won't care that much and maybe lower price will even incentive them to buy more (and maybe gamble more) while those who don't care about crypto will just sell for stablecoins and call it a day

For verification of the player if it is children or not i guess the most convenient way is to make another layer of security but this i guess i don't have idea for now, gambling platform will not make a new feature for their player a camera because it is more hassle to them to have this kind of features and also most of the player would like to keep themselves anonymous in playing having a verified KYC is enough. For now KYC is one of the most effective but to prevent play it like let their parents it is all about their concern not for the gambling casino itself.
I believe this should be the parents responsibility not the casino's a smart teenager will learn how to buy or fake documents so they can play and do what they want the same way teenagers find ways to buy alcohol in several countries where it's forbidden to sell it for people under 18 or under 21.

Gamblers will never intend to make any changes to their gambling habits just because there is trend change. Personally whenever the market used to decline I used to make myself more active into gambling.
When there is market decline, automatically the wallet balance will turn down relative to the decline. To compensate and keep the value same even after the market decline I used to gamble. This way I've lost big funds, because initially the portfolio gets maintained and later it'll turn towards a massive loss.
Yes, some aren't not that worried about the price and some are also trying to get some ways not to get their funds decline as some gamblers like to use some other kind of cryptocurrency which is not so volatile. This way, their funds wouldn't likely move even if it will be on their advantage. You know, recovery and dips aren't going to worry some of these gamblers because they know that they can't control it. Some even trade to other coin just to make the fund somehow steady. at the end of the day there are many more things we can't control than things we can control better to react than to try to predict things like market movements most gamblers will probably lose money longterm, what do you think?

Since the Candidates Tournament has already ended, but it is not yet known whether Magnus will take part in the title match, I propose a new vote with the same question ) So far, I have not seen betting options on this topic anywhere, but if someone sees it, please give a link here in the thread. I think that some bookmakers can take bets on this event.
This is a very slow thread -shows that a very few people now have interest in chess. However I have heard that Jews are very particular about teaching their kids chess - because that makes their mind very active and strong and along side they are very good in calculations and mathematics. for sure chess threads are slower than other gambling topics, but we're like slow and steady there's always new people coming and commenting and sometimes we have cool discussions on techniques and ways to improve in game too

what are the best strategies for sports betting on soccer? always betting on the favorite one and position size according to risk management? curious on that
It s depends a lot... it depends on the championship, how much knowledge you have about the teams and players that will play in the match, etc. In the case of the brazilian championship, I prefer to bet based on my convictions, without looking too much at favoritism... Brazilian football is very unpredictable ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) As for European games, I go more for the favorites, because I know I have less experience about the teams, but the games seem to be more predictable. In any case, I assume that I've never made a lot of money from my bets, so please don't take what I say as a learning experience ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) yes, I get that and it's also much easier to bet on winners vs losers than trying to guess exact number of goals on the game the second option is waaaaay harder
