2221  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Stratum Proxy for Windows Question/Help on: September 12, 2013, 06:42:49 PM
I found one here http://ltcmine.ru/mining_proxy.exe by searching online but I cannot verify the integrity of it. Anyone care to comment if this looks like a legit version of mining_proxy.exe? I ask because my hash rate on blades are higher than the one recorded by the Bitminter pool.

Anyone have a trusted link they can share?

ltcmine.ru is run by the same guy that runs itzod.ru BTC pool.  It's legit, I've used it myself.

You don't need to remove the cover off a Mac Mini to cool it.   Roll Eyes  They're designed to run 24/7 at 35C ambient.
2223  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need help with new Blade erupters on: September 12, 2013, 06:36:44 PM
They're called "Phoenix connectors".  There's several different sizes.  I use the smaller ones in the AV industry for audio connections.

Really?  Wow.  WTF is that 1000W PSU's issue then?  Huh  It needs a good kick in the clunge.  Cheesy

I only got two Blades today, and I've just got them going on Eligius.  They're NOT plug and play.  Between cabling, devising a mounting and cooling system, it took me all afternoon. My head is fried.  Undecided

I'll have a go with them on p2pool at the weekend.  Smiley
2226  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #6 on: September 12, 2013, 05:33:10 PM
I might end up using the old 30A machine, I don't know.  My head is fried with it, it's working at the moment, so I'm just going to leave it alone for tonight.  Been at it since this morning.  Undecided

What sort of current is a blade pulling?
2227  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #6 on: September 12, 2013, 05:05:53 PM
Yeah, now running one blade per shitty OCZ PSU - thankfully I have two.

Got them running at ~12.5GH/s @ 1.15v so far so good. Ordered a decent PSU (Corsair Builder CX 750W), hopefully that'll do the job OK. Cheesy
2228  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #6 on: September 12, 2013, 04:24:43 PM
Now my wires are on fire.  Shocked  Got to love OCZ and their damp string wires.  Roll Eyes
2229  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #6 on: September 12, 2013, 03:57:25 PM
My 1000W PSU doesn't like running two blades overclocked.  I think it's something to do with the power rail distribution.  One blade is working off a heap of crap old OCZ 500W.

No chuffing idea then, sorry. Sad  BTCGuild shows shares within about 15 seconds of me starting to mine there, just checked it.

Hmm..I'd be making sure the username and passwords are correct then.

They're in the format   username:password,username:password

First username and password for first pool, etc.
2232  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #6 on: September 12, 2013, 01:22:25 PM
What's the web page on the blade saying?
2233  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #6 on: September 12, 2013, 01:08:38 PM
Nope, I'm currently just running mine through stratum_proxy on my server, going out to Eligius.  I have a second instance of stratum_Proxy (on a different port) on the server going to BTCGuild.  Both work OK.
2234  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #6 on: September 12, 2013, 12:33:49 PM
Voltage is set low on them.  Got both mine running, cobbled up on bits of foam and fans just sat on them.  Going to let them run as-is until the difficulty goes up, so I can get maximum mining without any downtime. Smiley

For wiring, I used a 6-pin PCI-E extension lead, cut off one end, soldered the three wires together, job done. Smiley

I hate Phoenix connectors, have a load of stuff in work that use the smaller versions, and they're a fiddle.  Undecided

Which switch are you using?  "-S all"   or   "-S erupter:all"   or   "--scan-serial erupter:*"

-S erupter:all
Icarus flags or no?

None.

Maybe running the getwork server and the erupters is a little too much for the pi?

As for the queue they both (win7 miner and pi miner) have queued up, but only a little  2-4.

I doubt it - considering the little TP-Link I've got running bfgminer with 11 Erupters, with it's Casio calculator CPU, I think the dual core RPi will run both BFG and the getwork server no problems.

There's likely to be more bitcoin miners in the US than in Europe.  Or perhaps there's more in Asia than Europe?
2237  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #6 on: September 12, 2013, 09:52:59 AM
Blades just arrived.  One's up and running, just digging for power cables for the other. Smiley

Why is it during the day blocks found go up and during the night they go down?

People turn their noisy mining rigs off so they can sleep?

bfgminer has experince an error and needs to close any idea on why this is,

Wrong SDK versions.  You need to wipe out your ATI drivers totally, and install 12.8 fresh.

My sticks never come up as ICA - they either come up as BEE or BES.  BES works best, I usually expect them to stop working when they report as BEE, and when they do it's almost always cured by changing the USB port the hub is plugged in to.

Under Ubuntu 13.04 Server, the hubs worked best plugged in to the USB3 ports - under Windows best in USB2 ports.  Same hubs, same machine.

The staged underrun thing seems normal, I get that here too.  Mine usually ends up queuing 4 or 8.
