I'm glad we have the opportunity to partner with such a talented team at PayServices. I'm most excited to see how effectively their point of sale terminals are implemented. Many of you may not know this, but when I was younger I spent a couple years in hospitality management at different locations. One of the biggest headaches that caused noticeable losses in revenue came from archaic POS systems going down, forcing us to employ a cash only policy until the machine was fixed. DNotes was one of the view Scrypt-Coins that have survived from the IPO Boom early 2014.
Huge development, a lot of action by the CEO from the very beginning.
I also liked the mining reward at the first month.
But now market cap went under pressure despite the huge Altcoinboom going one since some weeks.
Is this the end of the story, can DNotes recover?
Hey Richard, great to see you pop by. The mining reward in the first month was super cool huh! The altcoinboom is mostly down to China's fledgling economy I think. All the crypto's listed on Chinese exchanges are booming, and there seems to be no strategy to choose higher quality crypto to invest in on said exchanges. Many crypto are not listed on these Chinese exchanges, DNotes is one. It is unfortunate that supply has exceeded demand this last couple of months, but fixing the exchange price is not DNotes main priority. DNotes is a not just a project about a financial instrument - it is a marketing drive, PR campaign, a strategic project that is executed over time. The financial instrument part of the equation is actually less important in the initial stages. This is at least until a crypto can be seen legitimately as a currency. Look at most altcoins - they have no intrinsic value per se. You can not spend them. They are investments. By comparison, DNotes is focussing on executing a strategic plan. It is a crypto for long-term investors who want to see a project succeed, and not focus on short term pumps in price, then dumps when the excitement fizzles out. This is what you'll likely see in all these crypto's when the next wave of confidence in the economy comes about (if). These crypto are speculative assets, they are not yet currencies. The price is only important if you 1. want to sell back into fiat (so you aren't really into crypto at all, but a trader) or 2. think that the price of a related financial instrument is reflective of a strategic project as a whole. I think it is not. DNotes doesn't need to recover from anything. It is just the price that we would like to see back at historical highs - and it will. Hi Richard1972x, welcome to the DNotes thread! Great questions, and TeeGee provided some great answers. We feel that DNotes is well undervalued and we would all like to see DNotes in a better position. Welcome mill0601! Looks like we had some volume at Poloniex. I did notice a buy wall growing yesterday, which is usually a good sign. It has peaked my interest. That and having an active dev. IndiaMikeZulu ran a proof-of-concept project on just this: as part of a vigorous P2P-model, 'core-community' members (busy busy people) can buy 'packets' of Dnotes at the going rate. We called it 'hoovering' (on Cryptsy). [And ah! integral to this dynamic is the valuable possibility of selling packets of NOTE in-community. Some times folks just gotta sell coin, but it need never hit the automated exchanges. Always gotta balance The Volume Thang.]

Market Stabilizer - Watches the market for swings in price and reacts to it to stabilize the market. (Without trying to hinder market growth*)
Accumulator - Slowly buys and competes at the best market price.
Bollinger Bands - bid X% inside each bollinger band.
Profit Model Accumulator - Buys low and sells higher with the intention of accumulating DNotes through small profit trades.
Feel free to throw out more ideas, strategies, and discuss what we have so far.

I will try to spread it out and calculate it by how many hours are left and how much BTC is left to spend for that day. So the first buy order will be BTC for the day / 24 * price of DNotes. It will compete for the top buy order, within the limits set in the bot, and readjust every x number of seconds in the BOT Interval. If an order sells, it will then become number of remaining BTC / numbers of hours left in the day * price of DNotes. It will also have to factor in the minimum order amount set by the exchange, which for poloniex is .0001 I believe. |

If there was a higher sell price with the market buy price at .00001043, a buy would not be triggered over .00001053. The open buy order at .00001000 is the support floor I want to add for DNotes. Yep that is pretty much it. I'll add a backstop function to this as it will be the first of the bots. |

The First Large Scale Bitcoin Users’ Survey – 22% of Users Have Lost Money To Security Breaches or Self-Induced Errors. We knew it wasn't easy and user friendly to use the wallets and secure them properly, but I didn't expect almost 25% of people would have lost their coins to it. "A group of researchers from Austria, have presented a large scale bitcoin users’ survey, to examine how users evaluate the bitcoin ecosystem regarding anonymity, security and privacy. The researchers surveyed 990 bitcoin users, of whom around 22% lost part of their funds to security breaches and/or unintentional self-induced errors."I'm assuming that doesn't include losses due to exchange issues or problems at third parties. I know many of you would like to see people be their own bank, and I agree, I would like to see that as well. However, it does require a deep technical knowledge that even following guides and doing some research wouldn't protect users enough in my mind. I would much rather see people using the DNotesVault or some form of insured service.
