ohhh i can't believe it ...woww  Cry  Cry
it's reallly hard for me ... falling from my investment price 0.00006800 to  0.00000300 over 5 month....
it's like a nightmare ... i had to sell it now... lost almost everything...
i don't know what to say.. Cry

I hear you Kelly. With no exaggeration, I've watched enough value evaporate that it could have paid off my mortgage 25 years early. I've been holding for the long-term, so the price action these past months has been easier to deal with for me.

But I'm not going to lie, this has me pretty spooked. The market and exchanges are responding naturally, since we've all been breathlessly waiting for 2.0. And now hearing late Q1 2018....is more pause for concern for me, since that is certainly later than the Summer guesstimates of Fall timeframes that I'd seen bandied about.

I've been a cheerleader since Day 1. But man alive, I don't think I've experienced a more disheartening day in all my time w/crypto these past several years.

Agreed MiningHabit, it is indeed disappointing. What it boils down to is we can't afford to take shortcuts and there is a cost to doing things the right way with a long term vision in mind. There were of course opportunities to take shortcuts and speed up the development timeline, but with a much greater risk to future of DNotes. We feel it is our duty to DNotes stakeholders to do it the right way, even if it involves great personal sacrifice.

If JFK were around today and involved in cryptocurrency, I think he would say, "Ask not what your currency can do for you, ask what can you do for your currency".

Thanks, Brandon.

Appreciate it Brandon, DNotes is about working together for the benefit of everyone involved. Ultimately the impact in doing so can only be far greater than we can achieve as individuals working against each other, which has unfortunately become far too common practice. There is no doubt in my mind, DNotes will make an impact on the world as more and more individuals begin to see how working together even greater accomplishments can be achieved. We have a great deal of respect and appreciation for those, like you, who have joined us in this mission through their investment in DNotes and their contributions to DNotes.

Just bought a bunch of these and thought I'd stop by to see what was happening and why the price might be so low. Disappointing to hear about Poloniex but this is not the end of the world. Good news it NOTE is still listed on a few other exchanges. This has always been a fairly strong project with dramatic price fluctuations. Happy with my decision. If anyone knows why Poloniex decided to delist, I'd love to learn more.

Welcome BitcoinDood, thank you for your support! Agreed, this will be just another bump in the road that we have to overcome. We have reached to PoloniEx to see if there is any specific reason and will let the community know if they respond.
1484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Bridging the Gap Between the Centralized and Decentralized World on: November 08, 2017, 04:53:03 PM
It is a sad and disappointing day for DNotes. And the timing of Poloniex delisting DNotes could not have come at a worse time. I thought that we had friends at Polo, at the highest level for almost four years. Obviously, that made no difference – not even a courtesy notice. We have written to them to shed some light as to why DNotes was among the three they took to the chopping board. Let’s see if they care to response.

This is a temporary setback but shall not impede our long-term commitments or success in our industry. If anything, I am personally even more determined to give DNotes all I got to ensure its success. I trust that many of you share that sentiment with me. It is not changing my outlook that DNotes will be the rising star in 2018.

We are contacting other exchanges for the possibility of listing DNotes. Realistically, the chances of being accepted before DNotes 2.0 launch is quite remote. Nonetheless, we will do whatever we can to explore that possibility. Any viable help from our community in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

Our best guidance at this point is that DNotes 2.0 will be launched in early 2018, as early as February 2018. In the meantime, you may want to move your DNotes to a different exchange, (Cryptoia, C-Cex, and Novaexchange), DNotesVault, or your private wallet.  Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

may be you should see in SJCX practice they introduce new coin STORJ full different from SJCX, so may be you should also rebrand your coin for example easy DNS, or DN2 remove some features and introduce new features that will good for Polo and for Bittrex and then adding again

Hi sl-avik, I can appreciate what you are after. We too would like to see DNotes relisted on Polo as well as added to a few other exchanges. DNotes 2.0 will be significantly different and we will be looking to build on the name and brand we have already established. I don't believe the name alone would stop us from being listed or relisted. I realize it is a despairing time for DNotes, but we are more motivated than ever, despite all of the challenges, to push DNotes to become successful.
1485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Bridging the Gap Between the Centralized and Decentralized World on: November 08, 2017, 04:45:54 PM
It is like we are becoming changed into the capsule people or something.  I completely value what the dev has come up with, but we don't desire a link in between decentralized and centralized.  The entire concept and idea of Bitcoin is to be totally decentralized.

Hi YouaresoWonk, thank you for your comment and we share your enthusiasm for a decentralized currency. We are not after centralized control of the cryptocurrency but instead adding intrinsic value to cryptocurrency by backing it with a real world for-profit company. That company is a centralized entity, not to be confused with a centralized cryptocurrency, where the company founders have gifted 25% of the company to DNotes the cryptocurrency. That relationship between the company and the currency becomes symbiotic in such a way where success is codependent, and the company becomes the bridge between the centralized world and the decentralized world in a number of ways. Without links between the centralized and decentralized worlds, you wouldn't be able to use a decentralized cryptocurrency effectively in your everyday life.

We are differentiating DNotes from Bitcoin in a number of significant ways, and are not seeking to replicate what bitcoin has established.

since wallet take too long to sync to me, what i can do with my coins on polo?

CTopia?

Hi erv, yes cryptopia is one of the exchanges you can place your DNotes as well as C-Cex and a few others. By the way, you do not have to sync to send DNotes to your private wallet, just to send them. We also recommend utilizing DNotesVault.com as much as possible for long term savings.
1487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Bridging the Gap Between the Centralized and Decentralized World on: November 08, 2017, 03:38:16 AM
This is to say the least, very disappointing to see the message that DNotes will be delisted from PoloniEx. I'm sure our supporters are just as disappointed as we are. At a very unfortunate time when we are getting close to releasing our next upgrade of DNotes. However, this will not impede or deter our progress with DNotes. We will reach out to PoloniEx to attempt to get a better understanding of what is happening and why DNotes is being delisted.
1488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Bridging the Gap Between the Centralized and Decentralized World on: November 07, 2017, 07:41:31 PM
I'm a little ashamed to say that I don't really understand the upcoming Bitcoin fork as well as I should. I suppose since I'm not marathon training, I spend a lot less time listening to podcasts, which are almost always crypto-related.

I appreciate the people on this forum's opinion. It will be deep, and not waxed of with self-serving BS opining.

That said, what does this article mean?

https://medium.com/@jimmysong/segwit2x-game-theory-scenarios-part-1-7f863904a72

It looks like the focus of the article is surrounding the implications for miners, block times, price and profitability. The bigger issue to me is what will emerge as the new bitcoin and how will people keep everything straight.

For the sake of clarification, let's call what we know as bitcoin / BTC today as B1X and Segwit 2mb as B2X.

At block 494784, if B2X is supported by more than 80% network it will be activated. Estimated Nov 15. If it does, and all signs point to it being activated, from there as long as people are mining both chains with enough hashing power for it not to be abandoned before the next difficulty retarget, which is again highly likely, and we will have 2 again versions of bitcoin.

So what the article was addressing mostly is how the difficulty mining either chain will be higher. B1X cannot adjust itself quickly to a massive change in miners, so until the next difficulty retarget, it will likely take a lot longer for new blocks to be mined, if 10% of miners are still mining B1X, it will take them 10 times longer to solve a block. B2X will start with the same difficulty as Bitcoin, so if it maintains the majority of the hashrate it will have much faster blocks, but not 10 minute blocks, if they have 90% of the network it will take roughly 11 minutes to find the next block.

Now, onto the bigger issue to me topic...

What is the new bitcoin / BTC? If you owned an exchange, you would have to make a decision. You could call B2X bitcoin / BTC, and relabel B1X. Or you could call B1X bitcoin / BTC, and call B2X something else, like B2X.

How will the regular people be able to keep track of all this, what exchanges are calling what BTC / bitcoin, and are all exchanges on the same page.

Disclaimer: There are many possibilities and no one can predict what will happen exactly, this is only my best estimation of the information I have available to me.

To those thinking about joining DNotes, https://dnotesvault.com/ take a look at the vault balance and you will find a community that believes in this project long term.

I have large sums in the retirement portion of DNotes vault. Some locked in interest bearing addresses until 2021. I believe.

Great idea, great people.

Hello CryptoJohn, great to have you stop by!

We appreciate and value your confidence in what we're going to be achieving over the next few years. 2018 is already shaping up to be a significant one for us, when we will begin to execute many of our plans that we've had from the the very first days of planning, four years ago.

DNotes 2.0 upgrade will see all DNotes Vault accounts earn interest from the DNotes block reward, and all retirement accounts will be changed over to that type of account, without a lock in. We're very pleased with the saving incentive that we have created with 2.0, which ties into many of the investment / savings plans (retirement, students, employee benefits) that we've created over the last 3 years in recognition of the importance of personal saving to stable economies and personal financial health.

There are many more exciting things to come.

Happy to see you too, CryptoJohn. I know that you have been around for a long time. We certainly appreciate your participation and support for DNotes. With DNotes 2.0, DNotesVault will be playing an even more significant role. We expect the account balance at DNotesVault to increase substantially. That will be one of the key indicators to watch for in 2018 to determine if DNotes is going to be successful. With rapid growth in account holders and account balance it will make it very compelling to professional investors to consider DNotes as a viable long-term investment candidate - giving us a solid foundation in migrating to other financial services including a full service exchange, bank, partner banks, online lending, global payment services, and multi-currency card.

DNotes is a very large scale global project built with great strategies, strong commitment, and relentless tenacity. Now that we have a solid foundation, our next move is to aggressively expand our team with increasing global projects. Feel free to PM me if you have the interest and strong skill-sets to help propel DNotes to the next level.

So, LOTS of new faces in here! Sure sign of growth, very healthy. Question: Any solid date for conversion? I'm thinking about upgrading some mining equipment but need to figure the return short term. Since I have about 110 MH/s devoted to Dnotes, the time factor is important.

Hey RJF, as you know we greatly appreciate your continued support! All indications are that we should be in testing for deployment shortly after the holidays. We wouldn't recommend counting on being able to mine DNotes for an extended period.

All, we need some suggestions and comments on how to get DNotes into the hands of many people after the launch of DNotes 2.0. What kind of promotions would you suggest and how would we execute them?

Are you planning on doing a bounty campaign? Signature campaign here on the forum, Twitter, Facebook, blogs and video campaigns etc

Our initial thoughts are to employ a giveaway system that can uniquely identify users, while preventing abuse of the system. Coupled with a referral / affiliate type system to allow users to earn even more. We have a few ideas on how to accomplish that, however we are reaching out to get everyone's opinions to reach a large amount of people effectively. A signature campaign is certainly an option to spread the word about the promotion and get more people interested, and it makes sense as people would be able to utilize their affiliate link to promote in their signature.

This looks like a good project that has a real life application! Went through your article and I have to admit it is well detailed and describes very well the token sale and distribution process

Welcome warnlewdster, thank you for joining us on the DNotes forum! We don't have an active token sale, however we do plan to create a platform for NextGen VC - "A division of DNotes Global inc, with focus on turn-key participation to take selected companies to their next level of success. This may include crowd funding under the jobs act, issuance of digital asset tokens, and a full array of consulting services including many innovative blockchain applications and smart contracts using the DNotes blockchain, and other cutting edge technologies. "

So, what's the purpose of having your token?

Hi Crypto-capitalist, this is not an easy question to answer in a short post, but I will do my best to briefly explain. The purpose of having DNotes would be if you share our vision of what money should be and believe in our ultimate success and would like to participate at this early stage. We believe in a shared stake concept where everyone can benefit from and participate in the currency and it's growth / success. Our unique approach includes but not limited to:
-A company dedicated to driving the success of DNotes without control, where the success of either is linked in symbiotic relationship, and the users can ultimately decide what is best for DNotes.
-25% of the parent company DNotes Global Inc has been gifted to the currency itself, providing intrinsic value to the currency and benefits the currency holders and users.
-This company is comprised of many profit generating components and future profit generating entities. This currently includes DCEBrief, The Four Pillars of Business Success book and website and overall program, DNotesVault and it's future expansion into financial and exchange services, CryptoMoms which we plan to roll into new platform with a wide variety of initiatives dedicated to participation of cryptocurrency and targeted outreach.
-Our model for cryptocurrency technology designed to aid DNotes to become a mass accepted, beneficial to everyone invested, as well as meet the full functions of money in a strategic and apparent manner.

Ultimately we believe that individuals that all want to see the success of DNotes, can participate in it's success, and ultimately benefit from it's success. At a minimum, all it takes to participate is to own some DNotes.

You can also see our roadmap here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1924858.0

I hope you have found this explanation helpful. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, we have a very helpful community.

Moas Forecasts Bitcoin Price at $11k in 2018

https://dcebrief.com/moas-forecasts-bitcoin-price-at-11k-in-2018/

Doesn't seem all that unreasonable, as it continues to get more attention the more the price rises and the more people are paying attention. It would be catastrophic is another price crash occurs though.

"The longtime researcher has been bullish on Bitcoin in recent months, and this is not the first time that he has revised his price target for the coin. In August, he raised that forecast from $5,000 to $7,500, and told clients that he expected that Bitcoin’s price could rise to $50,000 over the next ten years. "

TeeGee and I were on a roll last night on a Facebook thread. The conversation must needs be reproduced here.....

My original post: "Oh hey there Bitcoin Cash. Have yourself a week."
TeeGee's initial reply: "The good Bitcoin  Smiley"

Me: Disagree. If we had to rank order bitcoin blockchains, it's definitely bitcoin gold for me  Cheesy
TG: My favorite altcoin is the dollar -- 100% pre-mine, no coin limit, off-chain settlement, great dev team.

Me: Great dev team. The best.
Me: For example, this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6vi528gseA
TG: I heard the USA just got a new developer?

Me: Yeah we did. But there are a lot of shadow devs behind the scenes too. Can't audit the blockchain b/c there is no blockchain explorer.
TG: I've been playing with blocks since I was two or something, and these people still can't work it out.

lulz

Thanks for sharing, MiningHabit. Very entertaining. I like the short video clip too, when the old man (AG) said "The United States can pay any debt it has because it can always print money to do that." We have added $ trillions to our debt since but with that kind of mentality it does not matter.

The citizens of the world never had a choice. With Bitcoin and other digital currencies like DNotes - now we do. With your support we can make DNotes a truly viable global currency option - the freedom to chose between the old and new money.
YESSS, join the dnotes tribe

Hi darksidejungle, thanks! We are always looking for people who are interested in joining our team and doing work for DNotes to contribute to its success.

Tho we know BTC price will increase toward the end of the year but with the uncertain of B2X, it really hard to predict this time.
