2221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is ...... ? What does your auto fill suggest ? on: June 04, 2020, 09:26:35 PM
My first 3 suggestions were:
1. bitcoin is well suited to fending off hackers
2. bitcoin USD
3. bitcoin is going to zero

That's interesting for sure. People in my area must be scared of being hacked or losing their coins.
2222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OK! Who is THIS Bitcoiner? on: June 04, 2020, 09:15:25 PM
I once heard about someone painting his Bitcoin address on the roof and thought about making a giant qr code and puting it somewhere like on my own roof. Then I thought it might make me a target so the project was postponed indefinitely Wink

If they want Bitcoin to be their religion of choice let them. Christianity had its share of crazy preachers and it didn't stop people from going to church. We won't know what effect people like that will have on the society unless we wait for the response.
2223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One mistake and l have lost all bitcoin on: June 04, 2020, 08:39:27 PM
This is the fisrt time I hear about this token. Damn! This thing went from about 40 USD to less than 1 USD in 2 months. What as shitcoin.
Whoever bought that thing lost 90% of their money very fast.

I can't believe people are still falling for new bitconnects.

A question for OP: You see a new coin lose 75% of value in 3 days (16-19 March) what do you do? Hold? Grin
2224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hits $10k, Coinbase goes down (again) on: June 04, 2020, 08:30:28 PM
It was just for a short time , like 30 minutes or something. I think they had a big deposit or withdraw so for security reasons they decided to shut down the exchange until that transaction goes well ( this is what I'm think it was ).
Coinbase has a strong good reputation and I can't see them doing something bad just because bitcoin hits 10k$...Bitcoin was last summer over 10k$ and Coinbase worked without any problems.

This would be a stupid reason.  Trades on exchange aren't done within the wallets but on the API. Big withdrawals are processsed from the wallet and usually confirmed by staff.

Deposits and withdrawals are handled separately from what users who are trading see and do. Wallets don't work on the login server so there's no way a deposit or withdrawal can influence the site.

They are intentionally blocking people from trading or their server can't handle traffic.
2225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Patience above all will be rewarded here on: June 04, 2020, 08:12:12 PM
Another well known bank to issue its crypto currency! More and more banks joining...In era of bank owned crypto BTC will remain the only one truly decentralized asset!
https://newsblockchain.io/news/raiffeisen-bank-to-implement-digital-currency

Those cryptos are insignificant. Anybody can make their own currency by forking the existing chain. Many people have maid their cryptos from scratch and years later nobody uses them.

You need users for a cryptocurrency to succeed and who is going to use a centralized crypto tied to a bank when they can use fiat money that's pretty much the same, but also tied to the government which is obviously much bigger and stronger than a bank. The only way this could work is in countries with hyperinflation where people are already dumping fiat money.
2226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is good for environment on: June 04, 2020, 07:40:59 PM
There are certain points in which we can say that bitcoin is good for the environment. One of it is that Bitcoin uses Digital transaction which promotes paperless transaction that obviously could lessen the amount of trees that are being cut down. On the other hand, Mining bitcoin uses electricity and we all know all the transactions will not be made without electricity.

I hope you are joking about those trees. Paper money isn't produced directly from trees but rather from cotton mixed with cellulose obtained from sawdust.

Trees aren't being cut down to produce paper money. They're cut down to build houses and make furniture and the byproduct of this process is converted to wooden pellet you can find in rabbit's cage, cat's litter box and other things including paper bills.
2227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What type of gambling do you want? on: June 04, 2020, 07:18:11 PM
I don't know why so many people choose dice. This market is so saturated with dice that it's going to be very hard for a new dice casino to suceed.

What you need now is something new. A pvp game maybe, something else that can be played live, board games, simple skill based video games.
You all say dice but if a new dice site comes online you'll still be where you are now.
2228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best device for online gambling. on: June 04, 2020, 07:12:36 PM
I don't like to gamble on a phone because the network can be unreliable and casinos don't notice if you disconnected or not right away. If you get discoinnected from the game it will keep running but you will lose your turn. In poker it can lead to some big losses.

Also small phone screens can be more difficult to handle and the casino won't let you choose again if you press the wrong button.
2229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why I believe bitcoin will crush in the distant future on: June 02, 2020, 11:27:52 PM
I strongly agree that in the future bitcoin will eventually disappear. Because many people do not inherit bitcoin, including me
right now who know my private key only me.

Others have debunked this myth already.

Even if half of all Bitcoins in circulation become lost you'll only have to divide the remaining by 2 and treat 0.5 BTC like you used to treat 1. THis is also good news to all holders because their coins will become twice as valuable.

If we look at a very distant future, like 100 years from now, it's possible there will be too few coins in circulation for it to be used as a currency but it will still function as a store of value.

Also 100 years from now we won't care anymore because we'll all be dead.  Wink
2230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: an important reminder: don't get killed in this bull run and protect yourself. on: June 02, 2020, 11:14:46 PM
It looks like the same manipulators who bought Bitcoin yesterday sold them today.

There was no real rally just some big fish buying in hope of starting a bull run but not enough people jumped on the train so he sold and we're back where we used to be.

I don't agree with predictions that we're going down to 8000 because predictions like that have more common with fortune telling than real analysis.
2231  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I HAVE JUST BEEN SCAMMED USING BITCOIN LAUNDRY MIXER on: June 02, 2020, 08:36:03 PM
Next time just use a trusted service with real positive reviews like chipmixer.

IMO using a mixer isn't really worth it. I'd rather buy an anonymous altcoin and then convert back to BTC on a site that doen't require KYC but your money your choice Wink
2232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Investors are losing Bitcoin by Investing in Altcoins? on: May 31, 2020, 09:55:42 PM
Altcoins are much cheaper than bitcoin and buying altcoins can increase chances of making bigger profit than investing in bitcoin. Although bitcoin is really the major coin, still less profit are earned from it most especially by small investors and that's one of the reasons why some investors chooses altcoins over bitcoin.

They aren't. You're looking at it from a bad perspective.

For the price of one gold coin you can buy a bag of copper coins but does it mean copper coins are really cheaper and worth investing in if you have say 1000 USD?

You can buy one gold coin or 50kg of copper coins and in the end of the day both will cost you 1000 dollars so copper want't really cheaper. You got more weight but worth the same amount of money! The main difference is that if you keep holding for a year you may not find anyone to buy your copper from you.
2233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Choice To Stay Longer Online Or Casinos on: May 31, 2020, 09:39:23 PM
It's a wrong place to ask because the overwhelming number of people will say online casinos. You wanna know why?

Because you're asking in an online forum and a crypto forum on top of that so you will not only find people who rarely leave home here and are both working and having fun on their computers but also people who have cryptocurrencies and normal casinos almost never accept such payments.
2234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you donate in a casino? on: May 31, 2020, 09:29:11 PM
I'd prefer to do it on the casino site. It's easier than choosing programs and all that. For gamblers it's all about convenience.

I'd also not donate all my wins but rather a part of it. I still need some money to be able to keep playing and my main goal is to make more. If I want to solely donate I won't do it in the casino. A casino will only be a bit more convenient when I donate part of my profit.
2235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson vs Holyfield Charity Fight on: May 31, 2020, 09:07:58 PM
We are now in 2020 and through this year, 23 years later after that iconic ear-biting, I believed Tyson, at his age, won't definitely do again a disrespectful action on the ring.

I'd love to see the fight. Would even take a bite of my own ear piece to honor this special day.

2020 or not, Mike is known for being angry in the ring. Even if he doesn't bite there will be dirty plays involved.
2236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the new cryptocurrency worth buying on: May 31, 2020, 08:58:52 PM
I'd stay with whatever brings me profit and not look for other "opportunities". Impatient people want more and more and forget that they are already invested in something volatile and risky which is Bitcoin and go into even more risky and volatile altcoins  and lose money.

I don't understand why some of you who got profit from BTC buy shitcoins. Want to increase the risk? Buy some ETH! Don't waste time and money on some stupid coins like Tron and some even worse scams.
2237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop wasting your electricity on: May 31, 2020, 08:53:35 PM
All these coins are now abandoned and dead, no update since 2018, I'm sharing this today to warn those who still believes in petty coins like these, stop wasting electricity and mine better coins like Monero, Haven Protocol and other popular cryptonight coins or regret later on

Monero might do good if it doesn't get delisted from every compliant exchange and it might happen if those new strict AML laws go through.

The coins you've listed were bad to begin with and did not even do enough advertising. No big community= no chance to stay on the market for long.
2238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solution to too many promoters on: May 30, 2020, 09:12:31 PM
Yes there's too many hunters waiting for spots in campaigns and it allows managers to decrease the rewards.

They know that there's such a demand for rewards that people will keep coming even if they pay $1 for each participant but of course lowering the payment lowers the quality of the campaign. You wan't get good articles and translations for cheap.
2239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is safer, USDT or Binance USD? on: May 30, 2020, 09:03:30 PM
Newbie here. I'm still figuring out why Binance coin is still better than USDT (Tether)?

Apart from the lower maker/taker fees using Binance coin , I don't really see the advantage of using BNB (plus the volatility of BNB price which is influenced by BTC price). Can someone care to explain?

Sorry for asking this seemingly stupid question.  Tongue

Both are shit if you ask me. Centralized stablecoins are a disaster waiting to happen.

They're a competing coins because bitfinex is supporting usdt and binance their own BNB. Usdt got burned for me when they admitted to lying about having 1:1 backing in USD. There were numerous papers written about how they're manipulating the market by making tether and buying BTC with it.
2240  Economy / Economics / Re: EU has joined in with 826bn. Globally over 10tn has been printed on: May 30, 2020, 08:57:08 PM
I expect this great housing bubble to be a well made trap.

People used to buy apartments and houses because they felt like this is the way to save their money from the inflation. Now the inflation is going to increase and even more people will put their savings to work. Next year the EU will increase property taxes and pop the bubble.
