There are still a very few of those politicians that really have the intention to help and you can see that they're not corrupt based on their living. But as much as you can, you stay away from politics.

It's totally a mess game for those who have been there and knows how to touch and play the ball.

You'll never know who's your enemy and friend. Today, you may be friends but tomorrow, they are your rivals.

There are no permanent friends or enemies in Politics, , only interest is permanent,  this is very famous quote and proved true time and time again . It is true that politics is a mess specially in 3rd world countries where accountability of politicians is almost  impossible because  the whole governing system is corrupted by politicians for their own vested interests.

https://www.forbes.com/quotes/9781/
And the power that they have felt will mostly don't want to be gone to them, so they create policies and laws that are going to be in favor of them to retain power and wealth.

That's the reality of politics.

And it's hard to change and break the cycle when the same people and family are sitting in the authority.
2242  Economy / Economics / Re: Making use of Bitcoin as payment in our business. on: May 04, 2022, 09:17:43 AM
It's okay and that's actually the use of bitcoin aside from what we're doing to hold it as an investment. You're just typically adding another payment option for your customers.

You're just preparing your business with expansion from those customers that would be willing to pay in bitcoin. You also have the option to use those third-party services that automatically convert paid bitcoin to you in USD or fiat if you want to.
2243  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: $1.6 billion stolen in cryptocurrency 2022 first quarter 165% higher on: May 04, 2022, 03:33:19 AM
This sound wired to hear but that is just the fact from the news coming from the crypto currency industry the rate of projects and individual getting dished by the bad guys either through scam or hacked into the cryptocurrency market most especially in the defi market which witnesses the highest funds stolen, over 1.6 billion dollars worth assets have been stolen a record that is said to be higher than that of 2020&2021 put together.
We have to be warned about the kind of project we invest in especially newbies who are just getting to know cryptocurrency.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/more-than-1-6-billion-exploited-from-defi-so-far-in-2022
It's always on the center if the hacks are related to cryptocurrencies and it's because the amounts are bigger than the usual frauds and scams and hacks that we see traditionally.

Newbies are free to choose the projects that they want to invest but they'll also learn in the process that there are too many scam projects around.

The rug pulling of many projects also contributes to the number and they're going to increase since we're just near to the half of this year.
2244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin teaching approach on: May 03, 2022, 10:25:53 PM
Good luck with that.

You can insert that to the syllabus that will be given to you by the school administration. I've been into theoretical class and it's really hard to imagine what's actually happening.

Being in a computer class and then there's no computer, it's hard for the students to cope up with the lesson. I remember that when I've been into a computer class during my elementary level, although we've used computer but only for a few times.
2245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse Racing and Gambling on it should be banned on: May 03, 2022, 09:36:45 PM
I don't think it should be banned, it should be virtualized.

I have seen in the past virtual horse races where you can bet. And this way no horse gets damaged or abused in this sport. I'm not sure if someone offers this game now. But it could be a nice project for big casinos like Roobet or Stake.
I like that idea.

Having it virtually will have the idea of no more stressing the horses and I've seen those virtual ones and even I've played with it. This is much better than those using real horses.

But there are the bettors that would think that this can be rigged since it's virtual but that's part of it, a very common thought.

2247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New project success on: May 03, 2022, 10:10:58 AM
Well, idk but I really wanna ask this question here, as we all are seeing lots of new alt crypto roaming around the crypto market. what are the factors needed for successful crypto projects, does anyone know?
It's the use case, if they have the utility, volume, liquidity and the market cap.

These are the few factors IMO that are needed for one to become successful. Add to it the marketing as well of the project, if there's no marketing even if the project is good, it won't be known.

But sadly, there are bad projects that are good in marketing and they've been known because of it and that became their gateway to success.
2248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safuu continues to decline, what causes it? on: May 02, 2022, 08:14:32 PM
In the crypto market, they all follow bitcoin.

So if bitcoin is dropping, then you should see that next would be the altcoins that you've got to fall as well.

That's how it usually goes and you don't have to look for any reason for it if there's no good or bad news that you've seen.

It's the usual market cycle that we're seeing so the alts are heavily affected when bitcoin dumps.

But it seems that there's no word from Valve as Team Spirit and Navi will proceed instead of Outsiders and Team Spirit first.
Those tweets won't do much for his team since Valve rarely changes their decision. VP just has to deal with the disqualification and prepare for the next DPC tournament.
Yeah.

He's just trying out because of the frustration of what Pure has made with their team. Actually, they're good and they can likely be qualified but because of it, there's no longer the opportunity that's being set for them.

Well, even if they appeal or kick and remove Pure from their roster and terminate their contract, still, what's done is done and it won't change.
2250  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Project - Power Cash (PRCH) on: May 02, 2022, 06:29:36 PM
That's an exit for this project.

Do not buy unknown projects on these type of exchanges as they've been known to be full of scam projects.

And that's the reason why I'm avoiding to trade there even before after hearing a lot of bad things about it.

So, it's about that exchange and the projects that it lists there.
2251  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not use a wallet that do not bring out virtual keyboard on: May 02, 2022, 10:41:42 AM
If someone often uses his phone as a wallet, to protect him from these text predictors, AFAIK there's a way to turn them off. That's what I did with my smartphone years ago but after buying a new phone, I've forgot to turn off this feature. No prediction words.

Actually, this is a good reminder for those folks that are to trustful with their smartphones that are being used as a wallets.

This will serve as a warning to them to be vigilant and as much as they can, don't use their phone when they're about to use their seed phrases.
2252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all hacked on exchanges are real on: May 01, 2022, 08:41:32 PM
The perfect theft in crypto is claiming that a project or an exchange is hacked when its all an inside job, the reason why I think about this is I have never heard about other top exchanges helping a exchange that just got hacked to track their funds and get some back at least but if it's a sole hacker from outside they will track him or them down, why is that?.
Yeah, that's our speculation that there's an inside job.

But there's no need to think about it if the exchange has been dropped off a lot with their losses through that breach. And why would another exchange will help a hack, a loss that has happened to the others?

They should be prepared to any possibility if it's related to their funds. They should have a safe for which they will use upon experiencing it but hopefully, won't happen to all of them.

Just another update about the disqualification case of Team Outsiders = Virtus.Pro. DM has made an statement that he's appealing for his team to be reconsidered and appeal to be able to still compete on DPC EEU.

Here are his tweets:

2254  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is the new HOME on: May 01, 2022, 11:31:40 AM
It's always about the price when people talk how expensive it was. But you ask them and what they shall buy with that amount, they would spend it on unusual things that depreciate.

Yeah, even those 4 digit price and 3 digit price of bitcoin. They've been telling that it's expensive and they won't buy it until they've been left with its surge and now, all they think is they're too late and it's overpriced.

But on its run to its current price and the last ATH, they've never imagined how it went through several bear markets.
2255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: April 30, 2022, 11:20:56 PM
I didn't expect that disqualification coming from Outsiders and Mind Games got lucky they'll be having at least three chances to qualify at this point.

Quick search on twitter leads to post 1 of Outsiders 'Pure' drew a Z line on the minimap few times while playing

Letter Z is a symbol for of war for Russia therefore he was suspected of literally supporting the war as it is constantly used by pro-war Russians. One silly act from a team member and the whole team has to be disqualified, this is also the 2nd time VP is disqualified from a tournament ( the first one was Gamers Galaxy, they refused to not wear their VP jersey which is tied to Russian organization )
That's not an accident.

It was a paused game and then Pure did just draw that on a mini map. Well, he has made it out of boredom and he shows support for the invasion.

His career now is ruined and I don't think that he's going to like further results of the decision of Valve. There's a likely that he might get banned from all Valve sponsor events.
2256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't it a pain to remember difficult and long passwords for each new platform? on: April 30, 2022, 04:35:34 PM
There are password managers that you can use. Those are the tools that I've read from other crypto folks. But, I'll go with the traditional method of writing it on a paper where I'm the only one that knows anything about it.
I still prefer the old way of using my usual password and includes some characters or different characters which this characters only I will note in my notebook. I have trust issue when it comes in using new apps related to or that will need to put money that will requires password so as much as possible I choose login ways thru number OTP or apps that allow 2FA if possible. Tough the idea will really help many who have trouble in forgetting passwords since not all platforms have easy claim or options of forgot passwords.
2FAs are common these days.

It's either you use an email or use those authenticator apps. It's a good plus for security for your accounts and that practice of doing traditional through keeping it on notebooks.

It never gets old and I'm sure that many of the people here are doing the same especially for the private keys.

working on a passwordless mechanism.
I wonder how this is going to work and I get the idea by visiting the website but it still confuses me with a lot of things. Those graphic charts are helpful.
2258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hit a new high amid price volatility on: April 29, 2022, 10:21:37 AM
In my opinion, Bitcoin has withstood many tests and different regulatory attacks.
I agree.

People don't see this fact about bitcoin rather they only look at the roller coaster ride of bitcoin. But checking out how secure the network is and the hash rate difficulty goes higher, is one big sign to us who are believing in the long term status of bitcoin.

Along with the better security that we're seeing. This comes also with the price for which we're also looking at but people should also seeing some information like this.
2259  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help setting up an online crypto casino on: April 29, 2022, 08:36:29 AM
Some basic things you will need are a Bankroll, and a Gambling license, so, if you don't have money for those then you can stop the research now.
Speaking of a gambling license, he should see the basic setup and how much it should cost. Like a Curacao gambling license, to have an idea on this, the cost would be based on this article:

The fees for a “master” gambling license in Curacao include a 60,000 ANG (or about $34,000) setup fee and then 10,000 ANG (about $5,600) per month for the first two years. After that, the operator can negotiate with the government of Curacao for fees going forward.

That should be the basic and to give OP the idea if it's worth it since it's just the license alone. The additional cost for making the casino itself, bankroll, and other security related things for the software.
2260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Australia to ban Pokies on: April 28, 2022, 09:14:21 PM
It depends on what their government thinks of what's needed to happen. If they have to eradicate those pokies because it's not doing good to their citizens, they must do it.

Since there's no law that prohibits its placement in every place, before they ban it there's a need to pass a law so that there will be restriction for those businessmen that are into this.
