2241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kevin O'leary is the gift that keeps on giving. on: April 06, 2021, 07:10:46 AM
Kelvin o'Leary  will be wishing he got into bitcoin long time ago and by the statement of wanting to buy bitcoin not mined from China show he have little knowledge about bitcoin. As I read through the article I got more confused on what his stance really is on bitcoin.
Doesn't really have to wish because he is already a billionaire and even if he was to get in late, he is still going to get profits because if he were to invest in it, I am pretty sure that it isn't just a meager amount. Doesn't really matter what stance he has on bitcoin because cor one personality that opposes bitcoin, there is going to be two or three that is going to defend and support it.

Is poker a game of skill or chance? Of course, it is both, but the question is whether one is more important than the other. Luck certainly plays an important role, but skill is important too.
People who insist that poker is primarily about chance are effectively saying that skill is somehow insignificant in the scheme of things. Although that may be the way some people play poker, the simple truth is that you can always learn to play better. Everyone has the chance to do this, as far as I can tell.
I would lean more on skill because even if you have a really shitty probability landing on you, you can still bluff your way into winning the round. The reason that they think that it is a game of chance is because they only see the shuffle of cards and not how the players try to play mind games with other players, in short the people who say that poker is a game of chance are the mediocre ones.
2243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: April 06, 2021, 05:45:14 AM
After the One Esports Major Singapore, the next thing would be the Dota Pro Circuit Season for all regions. Lower division and Upper division for the South American region and Thunder Predator is in it but with a strong rival too, beastcoast.
https://liquipedia.net/dota2/Dota_Pro_Circuit/2021/2/South_America/Upper_Division
Glad that I have watched another DOTA tournament after a long time not watching and I am glad that it was a Major because you can scout out potential teams that you can rely on when betting. I was surprised when IG won because they were against EG with 2 wins under their belt, I guess the bad manner by Emo was enough to awaken his inner strength.

Both Are Lucky mate, and we knew that Luck cannot be count in how much multiplier you Won but in How many deals you have it.
To each of their own, I mean the multiplier of the first winner is much bigger and that person only risked a small amount of money in gambling and that person got more out of it.
2245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Cotto vs Marquez - Exhibition match on: April 06, 2021, 04:08:58 AM

Exhibition fights should be like a real fight, no one would watch a scripted fight and fighters are not throwing heavy punches. I guess it's important that they understand what the fans really want to get, it's the entertainmnet, and in order to get entertain, the fight should be like the real fight as everyone is looking to these two fighters as their idols.
Just because you make the fight interesting doesn't mean that the fight has to be scripted, my point in that reply is that no one in the audience is going to watch a after school fisticuffs and as you have said, they want to be entertained so they have to do their best to make it serious but at the same time interesting.
2246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lucky Winners of the Day - Random Pick on: April 06, 2021, 03:24:56 AM
I would say that the 1st picture is the lucky one because that person didn't put a lot of money to bet so in the event that that person is going to lose, that person won't lose much. And the other reason is the multiplier, the first one obviously has a bigger multiplier so that leaves us with the imagination as to what could've happened if that person bet a larger amount.
2247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to win at roulette? on: April 05, 2021, 07:52:01 AM
The advantage of the casino over the player is that the casino administration has the ability to call a bouncer and throw the player out into the street.
The only that a kickout can happen in a casino is when the player is becoming obnoxious and an insufferable asshole but other than that, I don't see any other reason to get kicked off, they are operating a business after all so they will choose peace in their establishment.
If the player uses the martingale strategy and beats the casino on a large scale, then the casino may not rush to pay the player the winnings, referring to technical circumstances.  However, if the player runs out of money, then his game will automatically end.
Martingale is only based on bankroll managing so I don't see a reason as to why would they delay the payment, it just makes them look bitter that someone has won against them.

I think this exhibition match will be just some warm-up-like fight because these guys' popularity is still there and there will be a large number of people that will gonna watch this. they will surely earn some money and popularity with this. If ever they have any plan to run for any government officials, they will get some supporters with this upcoming fight.
I mean, isn't that how exhibition match is supposed to work, yes you are serious but you also have to be entertaining, and they are guaranteed with money in this fight, what else could be the reason that they are accepting this exhibition match. Dude, it doesn't have to be political but you're right that they can use this to make a name for them in the political realm if they want to.
2249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: April 05, 2021, 06:00:44 AM
Getting close now.  I'm seeing commercials featuring the artists who will be performing at the event...

I really don't like this fight.  Jake Paul seemed to pick the weakest professional fighter he could find when it comes to boxing, and then made sure he suffered recent injuries to give himself a chance.  Seems like striving to grab the low hanging fruit, but that seems to be Jake's act.  I think while I'd love to see Logan knock out Floyd, I wouldn't mind seeing Ben take out Jake.  Smiley
This event is going to be big considering that Jake Paul is going to have a lot of his supporters that are going to watch this fight. We all have our preferences when it comes to entertainment so I get you and cut the guy some slack since he is weak too so it is natural to choose a fighter at around or close to his level.
2250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: April 05, 2021, 05:16:35 AM
Wow, this thread blew up!  I hadn't realized.  I'm glad that people are not just dumping their signature campaign rewards on a gambling habit, although I'm sure plenty of that exists.  I've even been guilty of blowing my earnings once or twice.

Mostly I think of it as just another source of BTC.  My personal GPU miner brings in a nice little bit of additional funds to play with, and signature earnings are a nice addition to that.  It all adds up, especially when you're talking about BTC over time!
I think that most people here have some sort of extensive knowledge about finances, going out once or twice is not that bad, if you don't splurge a little and you don't have the nerves to withstand monotony then you will probably burnout and you will start thinking that signature campaign is slowly killing you. Wanted to get into mining back then but I remembered that I live in a tropical country and the electricity is monopolized so it is so damn expensive.
2251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Cotto vs Marquez - Exhibition match on: April 05, 2021, 04:23:35 AM
[snip]
Without protective gear, and if things go serious, the fight might become bloodied so instead of the supposed entertainment purposes that's why it's an exhibition match, it will now become a usual boxing fight like fighting with the title.

But I doubt both boxers will go serious so it's good instead to see them fighting without any protective gear.
Just because it is an exhibition fight doesn't mean that that they don't have to get serious, this isn't the Olympics so I think that a mouthpiece and gloves will suffice as a protection in this exhibition match, and they are also hardened fighters so a protective gear is an insult in my opinion to their pride.
2252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Carl Frampton WBO Super-featherweight Title on: April 05, 2021, 03:37:40 AM

Not sure how long Herring can keep fighting though, he is like 34 or 35 in this fight. So most likely just a couple of fights in him. But I do agree that this guy is humble that's why we haven't heard from him even though he is the reigning champion is this fight.

Probably it steam from being a United States Marine, which we all know train their recruits to be confident but humble as well. It's interesting to note though that Herring contacted the corona virus last year.
Look at Pacquiao though, he is over 50 and there are still upcoming fights and challengers waiting for him, I think that Herring will be able to pull it off and you also said that he is a USMC which means Herring is tougher than he looks. We just have to hope for the best.
2253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fine line between market investment and sports gambling on: April 05, 2021, 02:41:42 AM
only the bookie can benefit in gambling and the users when they are able to apply this will surely lose by fighting their emotions. So what is clear is that there is a fundamental difference between gambling and investing. people who are addicted to gambling find it difficult to get out of this vicious circle. because surely they think how to return their lost capital
That is why gambling is a really good business because no matter what day it is as long as there is a steady influx of gamblers, you will still profit because the house always wins. By the way, what is the fundamental difference that you are talking about?

I agree that getting out of your addiction is difficult, I have been there and let me tell you that the only way to stop the cycle is to do it yourself with or without the external help of intervention, you are the only one who can end the cycle.
2254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Carl Frampton WBO Super-featherweight Title on: April 05, 2021, 01:58:42 AM
Even after Herring won this fight, he remained grounded. His tweet says it all. And read also his pinned tweet, he had a lot of struggles in his life. Good for him that he found boxing as therapeutic. At least he has something to look forward to. More fights for him in the future.
That is the only way to keep your success, stay humble and let your performance make the noise. A lot of people find refuge in a lot of Martial Arts and Herring is not so different to other people. I would love to see more fight from this guy because he seems to be a good fighter, maybe with Valdez we can see something that will push Herring to the limits.
2255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will crypto sportsbook replace fiat sportsbook in the future? on: April 05, 2021, 01:18:44 AM
Not necessarily will replace it since it crypto can coexist with fiat in the first place and not everyone is going to migrate to crypto sportsbook. In my opinion, the best thing that could happen is not replacement but integration of crypto in fiat sportsbook which helps attract more people since you have more ways to pay and bet.
2256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: April 05, 2021, 12:40:59 AM
Congratulations to IG to be the grandwinner of Singapore Major.

EG did make a good 2-0 score on having a lead of Best of 5 but IG do able to close that gap and tied up till game 4. Its odd that they arent banning out that Storm spirit and been
commonly picked but IG did manage to have those counters.
It is not just a good job because I think that what Invictus Gaming did is not an easy feat to do which is winning 3 games straight and a mistake could cost you the championship. The reason that they aren't banning Storm Spirit is because they want to bait Evil Geniuses into picking it so they can counter the hero.
2257  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Paytiz.com/ Scam alert on: April 03, 2021, 08:46:40 AM
You did the opposite. Before trusting your bitcoins to any exchanger, you need to initially check all information and reviews, contact technical support. After all, all exchanges are made manually? What could have happened to your mail? Why did the exchanger demand your documents because of her? As far as I know, today many exchangers may require you to go through KYS if the amount exceeds $1000.
How come almost a lot of exchanges have this kind of problem, this should have been solved the moment that someone suffers from it because it really is detrimental to their customer base. To OP, you should pursue legal action that you plan to do because this kind of thing is going to happen again when no authority is getting involved and these services aren't going to improve if there is no fear of legal action towards them.
2258  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. rent has increased 175% faster than household income over past 20 years on: April 03, 2021, 07:44:20 AM
Think Covid-19 disease influenced a lot on decision of many citizens to buy suburban housing by means of mortgage. Don’t think that crypto can somehow to help in building new houses and to lower prices on them. Scarce goods always inflate in price. Only oversupply of houses can help to decrease prices or, probably, the full end of covid-quarantine.
This problem has been persisting even before the pandemic, 1970s is the right time to buy houses because they are the most stable time and less expensive economy back then but now that real estate skyrocketed in prices because of increase in population and business which made land more valuable and the 2008 housing crisis also contributed to the destitution of many people in USA, oversupply in real estate does not work the same as the basic supply and demand.
2259  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing only for the rich? Think again on: April 03, 2021, 06:54:24 AM
I hate to admit it but yes there are some point that the rich are the only ones who has the capabilities to invest and this is because even though the investment becomes failed then they will not be able to regret it because they have the money or the assets to rebuild again the investment that has been lose. And that's the reality, the rich has the second chances and the poor doesn't have, this is why the investing is for rich only.
I agree with it but not necessarily rich people can invest, the right word is someone that has the knowledge about investing and can take risks without the risk of being destroyed when the attempt was a failure. The quote above is right that the rich has second chances but that doesn't necessarily means that investing is for the rich because poor people can still invest.
2260  Economy / Economics / Re: A Platform for Small-Scale Freelancing: Microlancer on: April 03, 2021, 06:18:05 AM
These platforms are good if you need even some money for bread. However they won’t help you to earn money for normal life. Even in this sphere you can find scammers that would give you work and won’t paid for it, so you’ll lose your time and your money. Anyway it’s better to try than to sit and to do nothing. By the way freelancer sites are better. There you need to do more work but salary is bigger. On freelancer.com I several times found students that where in urgent need of good articles and reports and earned 10-20 dollars at once.
Considering that it is a small-scale, I think that we can't expect this platform to replace full-time work. I do agree with you on this freelancer site, although I use a Facebook group to do find one but you are right most pay a decent money for a student like me.
