2261  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help needed: Signature Campaign Budget on: May 21, 2018, 08:32:15 PM
It also depends on how stringently you want to filter out applicants. If you're attempting to start a run-of-the-mill signature campaign, you won't need as many funds (and thus less pay per member) as a more established campaign with better-quality and more trusted posters (ex. Chipmixer)- better posters want better pay, and you'll notice with most lower-pay campaigns there aren't as many quality posters. There is a drought in campaigns right now, though, so you might be able to get away with lower payrates than, say, a couple weeks ago, but there's so many factors that can determine signature campaign costs that I couldn't cover them all in one post if I wanted to.

If you're looking for an actual quote for how much a campaign might cost, an actual campaign manager like yahoo62278 or Lutpin can give you a more accurate estimation on how much a campaign might cost, and they'll be able to tailor your campaign to your wants. I doubt the average poster here has any legitimate experience with managing a signature campaign; you'd be better off getting advice from people who actually manage campaigns.

This trade will be conducted at a 1:1 price ratio, and I require you (the buyer) to go first or use escrow.

My previous address was compromised (linked to my Blockchain.info wallet, got hacked, but I emptied most of my funds to a cold wallet several months ago) , so I am now staking a new address here.

Code:

2265  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: We've updated our Terms of Service - Every service why? on: May 18, 2018, 03:31:12 PM
Yep, it’s all due to the GDPR and most companies are sending emails so as to comply with it (or face a pretty hefty fine if they don’t). In essence, its just a regulation that’s to take effect on the 25th of May that gives users more control over their data, with things like pre-ticked boxes on site registrations and requests for consent being hidden no longer acceptable. It’s mostly the fines that are motivating sites and services to send these emails out.

If you’re looking for more information on the GDPR, this site here is the first I found upon searching about the GDPR, and the information on the site is mostly correct. I’d highly suggest doing your own research through a search engine to find more information about the GDPR if you’re interested in it.
2266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Supreme Court Overturns a Decades Long Ban on Sports Betting on: May 18, 2018, 12:35:13 AM
States can still have their own regulations regarding sports betting, but I'm glad that this ban has finally been overturned; I haven't heard of this anywhere else besides this thread- I'm also glad that I can count on the forums to present accurate news some of the time Cheesy. The motivation for this is almost certainly tax revenue like the users above me have posted, but this is a good start towards more forms of gambling becoming legal. Crypto was one workaround to this ban that I'm sure many people used to continue sports betting after the ban took effect, but I expect crypto sports betting will continue to be somewhat popular in the future.
2267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant-B on: May 17, 2018, 11:45:59 PM
I see Baikal pulled the price off of the web page for this miner.  Possible price drop?
That's exactly what I'm thinking right now; I only see "Announcement: On Sale" right now. Makes sense since profitability has been continuously dropping since the beginning of the month, it's still at ~$7.50/day at $0.10/kWh electrical costs but I guess Baikal wants to keep sale volume high.
2268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia GTX 1180 CONFIRMED for July !!!! on: May 17, 2018, 11:09:08 PM
I hope nobody buys these for mining, as id like to get a new gaming card at a realistic price.
We'll see how the memory fares in mining, GDDR6 could be either better or worse for mining more memory-heavy algos like Ethash, but I suspect we're going to temporarily go into a phase where mining shifts towards non-GPU devices in the future, but it doesn't mean GPU/CPU mining will become completely unviable.

I've also been looking for a better card than a 470 for gaming recently, not looking to drop money into Pascal cards that will soon be a generation behind- demand and prices probably won't be too high this time around and I'll see if it's worth getting any of the new Turing cards for my gaming (and possibly mining) purposes.
2269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bytom Mining - ASIC algorithm now cracked by GPU miners? Big profits? on: May 17, 2018, 10:03:07 PM
Does anyone have a translation of the uupool linked page about GPU mining and if the Google translation of the page is correct? I'm currently away from my PC right now and my Chinese isn't good enough to translate what's written in the page you linked. I'm trying to access the Google translate site on mobile but it redirects me to the app that isn't capable of translating the whole thing.

Otherwise, it's quite interesting that someone managed to crack the Bytom algo. I suspected it was minable by regular GPUs when I found the B3s were powered by Sophon chips, but now I guess we have a confirmation. I wonder if this'll have a large impact on existing B3 miners now- it shouldn't be too big of a deal considering the B3s should still mine much faster than any GPUs that are capable of mining Bytom.
2270  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Options - First Binary Options in Telegram. on: May 17, 2018, 09:43:45 PM
There's a reason why binary options sites like Secondstrade (now defunct) were listed in the gambling section after all. If you're looking to make money through some form of trading, it's always better to simply go trade on an exchange anyways, even though you'll have to go through KYC, etc to become verified- there's house edge on these games and this isn't trading at all. Crypto's a bumpy part of the market overall, but like adaseb just said, shorter time periods of less than 1 hour or less make it just a pure gamble.
2271  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoBit Wallet status: Maintenance ? on: May 17, 2018, 09:38:04 PM
It's their choice to keep their signature campaign running, and their campaign has actually been active for several years now (perhaps it's effective at getting people to go to their horrible exchange). At one point in time I recall the campaign was heavily criticized for promoting spamming on the forums, and action was possibly going to be taken against the campaign. Unfortunately the campaign is still here, but they haven't accepted new members in a long time (and most spammers have moved onto Altcoin bounties).

The fact that they still advertise themselves and bait people into trading there is incredible. The only reason Yobit was even remotely successful in the past was because they listed the most obscure coins and as a result Yobit became the only place you could trade a coin for some crypto. Things have since changed and everything has been going downhill for them recently.
2272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Liquid cooled GPU Miner 200 mh/s Ethereum 8 * ASUS MINING-P106-6G on: May 17, 2018, 07:35:28 PM
I like the design of your miner, and the low decibels from the miner is something of value to some buyers, but I do agree at the end of the day it's just not viable for mining considering the pricing you have the miners at. I just personally don't see the features justifying the price tag on the miner considering the state of mining as of right now, but I guess it does still target an extremely niche market that most users here won't be interested in. I prefer assembling everything myself and making a conventional rig, but I know some people like to go the plug-'n-play route with things.
2273  Economy / Exchanges / Re:à YoBit seems wants to steal my money. Are they scammed? on: May 17, 2018, 04:43:13 PM
I'm personally surprised people are still participating in Yobit's campaign after all the issues they've had now and in the past, and the pay isn't even good compared to other campaigns now (they promote spamming with their 50/25 post per day limit IIRC).

I wouldn't call YoBit a complete scam, but they're just incredibly slow with absolutely everything about their exchange.
2274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SO MSI Just Sent Me This...... MSI Getting into Rig Building on: May 17, 2018, 04:21:55 PM
Just did a quick search of the Armor cooler cards and it seems the cards MSI plans on releasing for their mining series have the same cooler as current Armor 580s, etc, and I assume temps and noise levels will be roughly the same.

I won’t personally be buying any of these as most of the features aren’t too impressive and I’m not going to pay extra for them. That being said, it’s still interesting MSI is going to continue to continue offering their products to miners with even more features than ever before, and I hope MSI doesn’t price these too out of reach for us here.
2275  Economy / Exchanges / Re: YoBit seems wants to steal my money. Are they scammed? on: May 17, 2018, 10:08:10 AM
Yep, waiting is about the best option you've got right now, and the issues you stated are why I tell people to not go to Yobit for anything, yet thousands of people still do go there for trading every day. They're a small exchange with huge problems, and in the world of crypto especially, time is money.
2276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining newbie on: May 16, 2018, 09:48:47 PM
One thing I absolutely must say here- cloudmining is a horrible idea and you're throwing your money away by "investing" (more like gambling) it in cloudmining. There's absolutely no reason anyone would offer cloudmining at all if they can just mine on their own and make more (in fact, cloudmining is just a way to offset risk from the hash provider onto you), and if you're looking for a more passive style of investment, lending to exchanges or users here is a much lower risk option.

Cloudmining really isn't even mining at all in the end and shouldn't be discussed in this section, but rather in the Service Discussion or Service Announcement section. If you plan on mining, you either mine at home or get hosted miners or you don't mine. It's simple.
2277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer Z9 BATCH TWO Shipping August 24th- Sep.4th 1520 USD on: May 16, 2018, 08:37:36 PM
The first batch isn't sold even out yet, and it's delivered in June instead of September like Batch 2. Makes absolutely no sense to buy any units from Batch 2 (especially since time is everything with miners) or even 1 considering the risk of forking is always looming on the horizon. Not worth the $500 discount IMO if you're looking at the Z9 right now.
2278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The inside of Antminer B3`s on: May 16, 2018, 04:46:43 PM
Thanks for taking these pictures, this is always something neglected with new miners and I’ve been looking for a look on the internals of the B3 for quite some time. Confirmation that the chips in the B3 are indeed Sophon chips is also nice, but I also agree that it’s odd and unfortunate that you cannot control the fan speed of the B3s while they are mining. They don’t use that much power after all, and not much should be needed to cool them.
2279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Live Stream on Twitch in a near future on: May 16, 2018, 04:32:22 PM
I’d watch it. The last time I saw Crypto gambling on Twitch was about a half year ago, and most of the stream was just sitting around and there wasn’t a whole lot of audience interaction or anything of the sort- it’s not a new idea, but it could be good if you stay interactive with your chat if you choose to stream on Twitch.

Card based games would be more interesting than simply slots and I’d suggest doing something like that instead of just slots like you posted in the OP.
2280  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best site for multi-player Texas Hold 'em? on: May 16, 2018, 01:47:17 AM
You might as well start heading for the currency exchange section (or LBC, etc) and sell your BTC for fiat the way things stand right now. Crypto gambling isn't incredibly active for card games as a whole, and things likely won't change in the near future (which is a shame considering how great crypto gambling is).

I’ve seen a couple of projects announced on this board during the last months but I don’t know if they were finally launched. I suppose you are looking for a crypto multi-poker site but I think it is better to play in big fiat sites, such as Pokerstars, because in crypto sites there is risk of collusion and you are not going to get enough variety of games to play and there won’t be enough traffic.
I don't think they ever did, and if those projects did launch they didn't get too far before going down. I wouldn't suggest crypto poker at all because of collusion just like you said. Seems like poker isn't too popular with the crypto gambling crowd atm.
