1541  Economy / Services / Re: Does anyone sell the Counter Strike Global Offensive skin for a knife on: December 20, 2018, 10:20:46 PM
I've seen few sales for CS:GO skins on this forum for cryptocurrency as of late; if you're looking to use a service to buy skins for Bitcoin, Bitskins has you covered. I've never had to verify myself on Bitskins to buy a skin with Bitcoin, though you do need to verify yourself for withdrawals IIRC, but otherwise if you're only looking to buy skins that's not a bad site to go to. Bitskins usually also has the lowest prices I can find for skins as well.

I would suggest all prospective sellers to use escrow on this forum. Takes very little time to do so, and escrow ensures the chances of either side getting scammed are minimal.
1542  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Well played btc family on: December 20, 2018, 09:40:02 PM
Almost all alts have followed BTC in price for about as long as I can remember, and this still holds true even in 2018. I personally don't think this current rally in prices for BTC (and almost all crypto) is going to continue for much longer, and a retest of prices in the upper $3000s or so is on the way for BTC, but we'll see what happens in time. I'm personally not making any sudden moves as I'm waiting to see how this recent upwards move will mature.
1543  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitDeer Discussion and Support Thread on: December 20, 2018, 09:35:57 PM
Seems like Bitdeer is now offering contracts apparently based on their new S15 and T15 miners that have lower maintenance costs ($0.10/TH/Day vs $0.15/TH/Day) than the previous 9th-generation hardware based plans, and these plans can last longer than the past plans, up to one year, though these contracts are supposed to start 15 days after the time of purchase at this time. Not a big fan of the upfront payment for both the base hash and also the daily maintenance for however long you plan on mining with these contracts, as anything can happen in the time between the purchase of a contract and the completion of a contract, but I guess this is more profitable for Bitmain compared to Hashnest.
1544  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: coinbase locking coins for 15 days. What?? on: December 20, 2018, 09:24:34 PM
Contacting support's going to be your best option, but there's always the chance that support won't do anything about it and you'll need to wait the 15 days quoted to be able to transfer your coins. Using another exchanging service in the future will ensure you won't be getting delays like the one you're talking about in this thread. I've heard good things from Bittrex if you're looking for an alternative to Coinbase. I've also personally used LocalBitcoins successfully in the last few months with few issues, though you'll need to look out for scams if you do use LocalBitcoins- thankfully most of them are rather obvious.
1545  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: December 20, 2018, 06:51:27 PM
I’m now able to login to the site again with my 2FA-enabled account via Google’s 2FA application on my android device, seems issues should now be fixed in regards to accounts not being able to login due to the 2FA on the site being broken. Never hurts to have 2FA enabled in times when accounts are constantly being cracked through bruteforcing all the time; if you don't already have 2FA enabled on your FJ account, I highly suggest doing so as soon as possible. It takes just a few more seconds to login every time, but you gain a massive amount of security by doing so.
1546  Economy / Services / Re: Place An Amazon Order (100$) on: December 20, 2018, 01:32:45 AM
I've never had an issue with Purse.io, and there are also places where you can get Amazon giftcards/vouchers so you can redeem the cards on your own account. One such site I know of selling these vouchers is Bitrefill.com, and I've bought a few hundred USD of Amazon GCs from them with no issues in the last few months. You can also request a discount of up to around 20% or so and get your order done in a reasonable amount of time, though the default rate Purse.io sets ensures your order gets processed as quickly as possible.
1547  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: As we all know, the price of the coin can heavily depend on the news. on: December 19, 2018, 11:26:10 PM
Don't forget prices can also drop for seemingly no reason like what happened on the 14th of November when prices dove off $6k with sudden selling pressure- everyone though the bottom was $6k, but the unexpected also occasionally shows up. News definitely does have an effect on the price of a coin, but trends already in place certainly also influence pricing more than news stories that pop up. Using a combination of news and current trends to trade is what I do with BTC trading, and this has worked out for me in the past few months, even with a downwards trend in the last few months since the ATH.
1548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency would you engage to gamble in? on: December 19, 2018, 10:23:46 PM
The Lighting Networks for both Litecoin and BTC should make transactions for casinos and most things in general much, much quicker in the future once implemented correctly (for BTC especially) in the future, and once the BTC LN is accepted for payments by crypto-based casinos, I'm likely going to sell off much of my crypto stash I keep for quick transactions and convert them over to BTC. Shame there's just not a lot of adoption yet, though, but I expect BTC LN adoption will grow given some time.
1549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Live Betting vs Online Betting on: December 19, 2018, 10:18:11 PM
I personally prefer online betting because of the conveniency factor with betting online; just put funds in with crypto/fiat if that's what you want, and start gambling with a computer anywhere, but I also do occasionally participate in live gambling which has its own merits as well, but I personally prefer the conveniency of online crypto-based betting over live betting. I travel pretty often as well, and I find I can access my accounts for bookies and casinos almost wherever I go.
1550  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitmain promoting BitDeer is it scam or not? on: December 19, 2018, 10:11:05 PM
Seems like Bitmain's trying to push this as the successor to their former cloudmining operation, Hashnest, which hasn't had any new miners listed in a very long time and is likely going to be discontinued soon or left inactive, with the main difference being these contracts last a maximum of 30 days compared to Hashnest that allowed contracts to run as long as they were profitable at Hashnest quoted maintenance rates. Maintenance is pretty darn high for these contracts, which means you're vulnerable to difficulty adjustments and BTC price drops should any happen, but it seems legitimate to me at this point in time.

Also seems like the 99% off 100TH/s contracts are now all sold out, which leaves just the 5 and 10TH/s contracts left which aren't too profitable at this time left.
1551  Economy / Speculation / Re: The bear market is over on: December 19, 2018, 06:09:38 PM
We’ve had many other similar events on the way done from the ATH at ~$20K where prices went up a bit and dropped right back down, so I would agree for now that it’s too soon to call the end of this current bear market or even a bottom right now. Some people have been pointing to a potential V bottom a few days back, but I don’t see that being likely as the volume at that time was exceptionally low, though I could be wrong for sure.
1552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bittech NS Neoscrypt ASIC 63MH/s is a ***SCAM*** on: December 18, 2018, 11:35:16 PM
I typically never trust new asic manufacturers as well due to the large amount of scams as of late, as do most people on this forum. As an example, the account representing Blackminer on this subforum had negative trust until it was proven that the miners being sold were indeed delivered and working after about a month or two, can't hurt to be too careful in cryptocurrency.

Sucks that the miner you purchased was a scam, but there's always that risk with a new manufacturer. Occasionally the companies selling the miners pay crypto news outlets to advertise their miner, and it seems that's what happened this time around. In the future when you're buying a new miner, I suggest doing a search for the miner on this forum or making a topic on the miner here if you're unsure about the legitimacy of a manufacturer or miner.

Seems like the site you linked in OP's now dead according to Cloudflare currently, so others should not be scammed by this site for now.
1553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is growing at nonstop rates in my country on: December 18, 2018, 11:25:54 PM
There's just one major casino near me, and though I don't watch much television anymore, it doesn't seem like gambling is growing too quickly in my municipality, nor much in the US as a whole in the news. Online gambling's definitely growing, although this recent crypto bear market has lessened some of this growth. Just seems to me that more and more people are trying to avoid KYC and various other means of verification through gambling online with casinos that accept cryptocurrency though.
1554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: decentralised RNG on: December 18, 2018, 10:57:43 PM
Seems pretty meh of a project to me right now. Decentralized RNG seems like a pretty niche feature at this moment, and we could be in a crypto bear market for months and months more without any sort of meaningful recovery to past prices. I'd much rather buy into a larger coin or alt like BTC or ETH sooner than a smaller coin like CoinPoker that you're mentioning here, as it is entirely possible that some alts could die off in an extended bear market that we might be looking at in the near future, but if you do believe in this project, invest some into it. Can't hurt to diversify your portfolio a bit at any time.
1555  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitdeer Discussion and Support Thread on: December 18, 2018, 10:51:59 PM
HashNest is becoming bitdeer. Not sure if this has been discussed or not.

I just read the message on the hashnest site and I’m starting with a month at 30ths to see how it goes...
I've also read up on that whole affair recently, seems the entire Bitdeer affair is pretty precarious for buyers since profitability can easily go down if the difficulty of bitcoin starts to go up again (which very well might be happening soon and also right now), and it seems that the daily maintenance fees for the contracts are now charged upfront, which is definitely a change from Nicehash (and something I don't like, though it lowers risk for Bitmain). Profitability seems pretty minimal at $15 after a month with current difficulty numbers for the 100TH/s plan for a month, which could quickly become negative after an upwards difficulty adjustment or two, but we'll see how it turns out. At the least difficulty will drop at the next adjustment in just an hour or two.

Seems like Bitmain is starting to power on their new S15 or T15 miners as well with the advent of Bitdeer with this new bump in total hashpower, though this could also be from farm(s) powering back on again.
I personally use Bitcoinwisdom to monitor current difficulty and future difficulty (click here to go to the site).
1556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where we can look at the cryptocharts? on: December 18, 2018, 01:03:20 AM
I use Bitcoinwisdom (click here) to look at basic price information for BTC and also LTC. The site only has charts for two exchanges for the BTCUSD pair currently (Bitfinex and Bitstamp), but the site updates charts every three seconds or so, and there's plenty of tools and alerts you can set on the site to customize your charts, all for free (you can pay for premium to get rid of ads, but you can always just use adblock). Bitcoinwisdom's also good for viewing Bitcoin difficulty charts (easily the best difficulty estimator and visual representation of difficulty and block generation time etc. imo), and I've used them for as long as I can remember mining Bitcoin.
1557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: broken GTX1080 fouders edition, parting out possible? on: December 18, 2018, 12:19:32 AM
eBay's indeed a decent place to sell as long as you explicitly state that your listing is for a broken and non-working item, as some people on the site like to dispute orders because they thought the item purchased was in working order. I don't think you're going to get a better rate for your card anywhere else other than eBay, as I don't see many people buying broken items on this forum or anywhere else for that matter.

You can use this link (click here) for a price reference on eBay for completed listings for broken GTX 1080 cards in the United States eBay (.com).
1558  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to crypto trading - Is now the time to get in? on: December 18, 2018, 12:07:16 AM
I wouldn't go all in, but feel free to drop a bit of money into BTC and other alts right now. As others have already said, the price of BTC and most other cryptocurrencies is low right now, and though we're in rocky markets, you can always stagger buy orders by pricing (e.g in bitcoin, an order at 3600, 3400, 3800, etc) so you don't put all your money in at once on a coin. I personally do this, and it's a great way to accumulate coins slowly.

As for signals, I've never had good results with them. Even paid signals don't always work, and plenty of people end up being scammed (and most signals are used to make people buy or sell coins). Think for yourself as well- if someone had good information on trading, it makes no sense for that person to give away their info for free or sell it when that person can use the signals to his/her own advantage.
1559  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Nicehash.com a shit or what? on: December 17, 2018, 11:12:53 PM
You can't get much hashing power from just a few pennies on Nicehash considering the cost of renting hashrate from them, and as TryNinja said, many small transactions creates more inputs that results in higher fees when the coins are moved, so this makes sense for Nicehash to do. The fee for 0.001BTC to 0.05BTC seems just a bit high to me at 0.001BTC, but there's none at or above .05BTC, which is what I expect most people are depositing at one time or more. Can't blame a service for trying to lower their operating costs for unreasonable transactions.
1560  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: c-cex.com is SCAM! on: December 17, 2018, 11:09:03 PM
Not all people actively browse Bitcointalk or look up the reputation of an exchange- seems like that's what happened to the user above with five posts. It's unfortunate, but things like this do happen.

Best advice I can give is to contact support and hope they help, which doesn't seem likely to me considering the pages upon pages of people requesting help in the C-Cex Bitcointalk thread, and do your research in the future about exchanges. Using the string "__(Service Name Here)__ Bitcointalk" on a search engine usually gives you results about the particular service you're researching and its respective thread(s) on Bitcointalk, and you can do your reading and research on the thread(s) you find.
