1621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin in sports betting on: November 29, 2018, 10:18:35 PM
If you're looking for a suggestion to a site that you can use for sports betting with BTC, NitrogenSports has a nice selection of sports and also esports. I've used them for about the last two years, and I've never had a major issue with the site. The site often has nice promotions going on too, like this NFL 2018 Parlay promo for free bets with no wager requirement (if I'm reading correctly).

If you're looking for more sites, check the Gambling subforum right above this one, and scan through for a site you like.
1622  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: (startdailyjob.com) is this legit?? on: November 29, 2018, 10:04:13 PM
I'd never trust a site that looks like it was made in the mid-2000s in 2018, especially when the site states that it has been active starting sometime in 2018. The high minimum withdrawal rate of $300 will likely deter you from making any withdrawals, and the site doesn't even have any form of live support, just an email link that likely doesn't even provide real support.

If you're looking for actual BTC freelancing work, any site that has reputation should work. XBTFreeLancer is a good example.
1623  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain Wallet no working on: November 29, 2018, 02:20:39 PM
It’s also possible to export your private keys to another wallet like Electrum or something of the sort to use your wallet on a different platform, but a better move is to just create a new wallet with proper security precautions, and then send your coins to the new wallet. That way your existing private key can’t further be compromised. I stopped using Blockchain a while back after I realized how insecure the wallet really was, and after a few of my empty wallets had been bruteforced on the site.
1624  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cashdeposit.biz Reviews: SCAM or LEGIT? on: November 29, 2018, 02:14:16 PM
In general, anything online that promises a set rate of return or one that’s extremely high is a sign that you should stay away, or that there’s more to the service than what appears on the surface. If something seems too good to be true, it is. Anyone can pretend to make a service that pays back ridiculous amounts of money online, so you can never be too cautious.
1625  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Buy in Amazon with Bitcoins. on: November 29, 2018, 01:15:29 AM
I too see no advantage from using this service over anything else like Purse that functions very similarly and has a much better UI. I'm going to stick to Purse or just buying gift cards from other places, as this particular site seems rather new and doesn't have much reputation. This site still seems interesting with the options of buying and selling BTC, though fees seem pretty high for both buying and selling.

If you're looking for a more reputable place to get Amazon GCs from, Bitrefill works. I've bought around $250 in AGCs from them recently, and I've always gotten the cards delivered in one confirmation or so. Bitrefill does use Bitpay as their payment processor, but something like DeBitpay works if your wallet doesn't support Bitpay links.
1626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm loosing. What to do? on: November 29, 2018, 12:24:52 AM
Hold your coins and try something else in the meantime. You don't always need to be trading, and I find that if something's off and something you're usually good at isn't working, take a break! It can be hard to relax for some people, but things will be better after not trading for a few days.

You could also try leveraged shorting if you're looking for something new. This is indeed risky, but it's different than the usual buy low-sell high most people are used to.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Satoshicircle working on: November 28, 2018, 10:11:31 PM
I wouldn't trust a gambling site that has such a slow response time either. Most people don't typically run into issues, but it's always a frustrating experience when your coins are stuck in limbo on a site like Satoshicircle that might have been inactive as some of us here have already mentioned.

Always check on this forum to see if a gambling site's reputable, has good support and if the site's even active. I rarely have issues with anything related to cryptocurrency because I do this every time I need to get information on a site.
1628  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Finding a secure escrow for digital gift card on: November 28, 2018, 09:44:41 PM
Bitify's only effective for selling items that are priced lower, as the support on the site is sometimes slow as aforementioned and issues may not be solved expediently. I have sold and bought about $1000 of items on Bitify, and I've never had an issue with the release of escrow nor support, but then again I haven't had major issues on the site before. The list OmegaStarScream linked should be good for members that are trustworthy to escrow with, but not all of them will escrow a transaction of your nature. PM a few that you'd be comfortable with dealing with, and you should be good.
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are Mining Still Profit? on: November 27, 2018, 11:41:59 PM
There are some who mine primarily to produce heating for their homes, which can nullify electrical costs as heating bills are lowered as a result of mining heating the home, but it is true that for most people, mining at a loss makes no sense and you're better off buying coins or just not further interacting with cryptocurrency if you're not willing to deal with the bear market we're facing right now.

You should be hesitant about starting to mine right now. Many miners are being released with the hope that mining will become more profitable in the future, which is not something you can count on and is essentially gambling. If mining isn't profitable for you right now, don't count on it being profitable in the future.
1630  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: (Binance) - JS.Trojan.Nemucod.K Trojan threat found in Binance Mac Client on: November 27, 2018, 11:37:43 PM
Most definitely a false positive with the Reddit post linked above explaining things. Seems the source you were using is a bit late to the party with the posting of the article, though we could still potentially be wrong. I don't see anything in the linked Reddit thread signifying the issue has been resolved, though I assume those users disabled their antivirus systems to continue using Binance or something of the sort. I did some more Googling and I was unable to come up with anything in regards to this matter.
1631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Even at 3600, BTC is still 10x its value in 2016 on: November 27, 2018, 09:20:45 PM
I'm continuing to acquire BTC at the same rate as I have for the last few months. I did buy in at a much lower price than BTC is at right now, but I'd rather hold on to my coins than sell at a fraction of the peak near $20k we had last year. There are indications we may be in an extended bear market and prices may stagnate or go lower than $3k, but I'll hold however long it takes. What's happening now with crypto's only temporary, and a bull market may resume in the mid- to long-term.
1632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale and Roulette on: November 27, 2018, 08:02:25 PM
Martingale and any other strategy never works due to the pure mathematics at work with house edge in play and many more factors affecting the outcome of a game. There's been plenty of research and experimentation that shows a long-term loss with the strategy and even experiments with real money on real casinos if you still don't think all this is true. You might initially incur a net profit, but this entire method is luck-based and gains only show up in the short term with this method and never in the long term.

Unless an online casino is internally faulty, any methods won't work. If you're trying to get money, stay away from gambling and try working or investing as a lower-risk option compared to gambling. I see there's still lots of discussion here, and I'd like to reiterate the things I said in my first post here as well as a few more points.
1633  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What percentage of traders/investors make/lose money? on: November 27, 2018, 07:56:33 PM
I too imagine most traders and investors lose money over time, though it's nearly impossible to come up with an exact percentage figure as to how many people lose money in trading with so many people in this world trading cryptocurrency every day and so many exchanges out there. This shouldn't be a massive concern if you're starting to trade, though. It's extremely likely you're going to lose money in your first days of trading due to a basic lack of experience that you can remedy by simply trading more often, but with dedication and practice you'll get better at trading over time like any other activity in life. Persistence is key if you're trying to learn something new.
1634  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 15% Discount when buying Bitcoins on Uphold it's a SCAM!! on: November 27, 2018, 07:51:38 PM
This is actually one of the more common scam models on the internet involving crypto as LeGaulois said- any established site will usually not send you a cryptocurrency address to send coins to over email under any circumstances, and this should've raised a huge red flag to anyone using crypto. Anything promising free money online for doing essentially nothing (e.g sending coins to an address) should also be another massive red flag for anyone actively using crypto, which can signal a possible ponzi scheme. Phishing's extremely common nowadays, and there's always going to be victims. Doesn't mean we can't inform more people of common scams though.
1635  Economy / Gambling / Re: LuckyFish.io is coming soon on: November 26, 2018, 05:58:01 PM
Interesting. Seems like you start out on the site with 20 satoshi on registration, should be enough for a little bit of experimentation on the site with the games.

What are the fish symbols under your name for- what do they represent? I might be blind, but I don't see anything on the website like a FAQ that explains this. Perhaps adding a short tutorial or help page instead of having just a livechat could cut down on the number of people using the livechat and answer some basic questions people may have, like the one I am asking.

Adding adjustable volume levels would also be nice instead of choosing between sound or no sound. Clicking on the 'free coins' button was essentially earrape for me.
1636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can this numbers be right? on: November 26, 2018, 04:54:06 PM
I don't typically point people to Whattomine, but their calculator's good if you're trying to get an approximation for what the most profitable coin is for a particular GPU. (1080 link)

Seems like X16R on Nicehash or just mining Ravencoin is a decent choice for your 1080 at this moment in time, though it seems profitability isn't too great for that particular algo either. Better than nothing after crypto prices have been falling like they were.
1637  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: To-do list in a bear market on: November 26, 2018, 04:36:57 PM
Don't put in all your money at one time if you're trying to purchase coins. I would stagger purchases and perhaps set orders to buy at certain prices at this point in time with the high volatility right now.

Something else to note from Theymos which I believe is legitimate advice:

If there's any BTC price that would ruin you, then it might be a good idea to sell some.

It's fine to hold, but you also need to recognize when you might need to sell off some of your coins. I'm not selling right now as I accumulated coins at a much lower price than BTC is at right now, but I'm also ready to sell if things go south.
1638  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitblender issue on: November 26, 2018, 03:15:29 PM
Sorry to interrupt you both fellas, since your reply is a bit off-topic, bitblender signature campaign is a way too different from the case of OP.

Your only way is to reach out their support page, you can contact the official account of bitblender which his profile link is mentioned above, the account seems inactive since first week of the month though.

I don't think lutpin can help either (if ever) his way too busy in personal life at this moment that he can't managed his personal life and his work here I guess.
I don't find this very off-topic considering he is usually pretty active in managing his signature campaigns and such on the forums, and the sign that he's not active on them means there's likely something happening in his personal life as you mentioned. I occasionally find contacting the campaign manager of a project can help resolve a problem, since such people are usually close to admins that can help out with issues on a site, such as what this member has.

The best method of communication is going to be their support page, though I have no idea what the response time on the site is. I have never needed to use the support on their site after mixing coins.
1639  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitblender issue on: November 25, 2018, 06:06:48 PM
Lutpin was the person that work with BitBlender campaign but as I can see on BitBlender's campaign become no response at the moment
Unfortunately it seems Lutpin hasn't been active in quite some time even though his last login was just yesterday according to his profile (last post being on the 9th of November), and he hasn't posted or sent payments to members of the Bitblender signature campaign in two months according to a negative feedback from The Pharmacist on his trust page as you mentioned. It may not be the best choice to message Lutpin about your issue, but it's worth a shot.

It's not just Bitblender either, but Lutpin took 10 weeks to pay 777Coin signature campaign participants as well according to another trust feedback from The Pharmacist. Lutpin managed the Bitblender campaign exceptionally well when I was participating in it a year ago, I wonder what's happening with him right now...
1640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fiat or crypto betting in bear market? on: November 25, 2018, 04:14:43 PM
I'm personally saving as much money as I can to buy crypto right now while prices are still low (and will likely go lower), so I'm keeping crypto gambling to a minimum and I'm going through the grueling process of KYC and gambling on fiat casinos right now, as I'd rather do that than spend the crypto I have right now. I bought BTC in at a very low price in 2015, so I'm not at a loss yet, but I'd still like to hold my coins in my cold wallets for the future, as I believe in the long-term success of cryptocurrency.
