I read from a sport platform that James harden is planning to return to Houston, this sounds great . When James harden was in Houston he was my favourite player because he plays so good. If  coming back to Houston is real it is a good news, Houston made James, it is good to have him back.

This article says the same.

James Harden Considering Return To Rockets In Free Agency

Maybe he is impressed with how the rockets are playing now, having him back will definitely improve the rockets as he would do some cooking. Fans would probably be happy if he will return, but is he the one who requested to be traded?

Yes, he was the one who requested for the trade, that's written in the article if we will read the details. James Harden is definitely not the main man in 76ers as they have Embiid, so maybe he miss his popularity in Houston because he is the sole superstar. I'm sure Harden learned a lot from the teams he got traded (Nets, 76ers), so he will be able to use that experience to have a big comeback with houston.

Right now, Houston is in rebuilding mode, they are building young superstars like Jallen Green and Porter Jr. so Harden will be stealing the spotlight from them.

One of the reasons why Bay Area loss the game is because they are outrebounded by the Ginebra Kings.

The kind of defense of Ginebra is a championship defense, Bay Area should match that intensity, otherwise they will have no chance against the home team. It's only their import who are playing well, sure they can't win relying on their import heavily unlike the Gin Kings where everyone was contributing most especially on the defensive end.

Imagine this stats, 58 rebounds vs 35 rebounds for Bay Area.
Stats don't lie. Their main weapon which is their three points is a bit awful. 13/42 for 30%. In a finals game, it's awful especially if it's one of your main weapons in winning the game.

The intensity is just too much for the Dragons to handle. For them, it's like in NBA where they are facing the home team in a finals game. Well, the Ginebra can be considered a home team Cheesy. They knew it in the eliminations that they will face a crowd like this. It's just it's too much for them and they don't have any answer for how Scottie is playing. His presence in the court greatly affects the Dragons especially on how he is getting offensive rebounds. He's just everywhere.

If only I put a bet yesterday, I won because it's 2.48 ML for the Ginebra IIRC. Game 2 is on the 28th. The question now is, will the Dragons use Powell if he's capable in playing. What will be the adjustments the Dragons will be doing coming into Game 2.

Just for context. 60 out of the 90 teams who won Game 1 in a PBA Finals come out to be victorious. Game 1 is always a huge game because that team will get the momentum.

The way they switch their defense to prevent an open 3 point shot from Bay Area is just impressive. They don't have the height especially the guards but the quickness is there. Ginebra is known for their defense and they have showed a good defense in game 1, so I guess this will be an exciting series as Bay Area will certainly make an adjustment to even the series in game 2.

Whether they will play Powell in game 2 or not, we have no information for now, all we can do is to wait.

Thanks for sharing kabayan, for awareness of everyone, we should not use a VPN service so our account will not be compromised. Good thing they will release your funds, hopefully, you'll be able to recover that anyway.

Well, if you still want to use Binance, I guess it's not hard as you can just use your sister or brother's account for verification, that if they are not into crypto and it's okay for them. The best thing about Binance is that the verification process is very easy compared to coins.ph where they have periodic KYC requirement.

Very timely mate..

Inoue - Fulton fight made possible after Naoya Inoue made WBO ‘Super Champion’ At 118, can become Stephen's Fulton mandatory at 122[1]

According to the article, the undisputed bantamweight champion  Naoya Inoue has been made the WBO "Super Champion".  This means that if ever Inoue goes up in weight he will be a mandatory challenger for WBC/WBO 122 lbs champion  Stephen Fulton.  So Inoue would be skipping the rank and and fight directly for a title fight against Fulton if he petitions the sanctioning body.

Inoue moving up will give way for the possible Maloney-Donaire fight for the vacant title belt.  It was stated that it was ordered by the commission that if ever Inoue vacate the title these two fighters will have a mandatory fight for the vacant world champion.

[1] https://www.boxingnews24.com/2022/12/naoya-inoue-made-wbo-super-champion-at-118-can-become-stephen-fultons-mandatory-at-122/

Makes sense why Donaire stayed at the bantamweight after his defeat because he knows that Inoue will soon leave the division and that leaves him a chance to be a champion again. I just thought that he will go down at the super-fly because that is what he said, but I guess that already changed since he will be fighting against Maloney if the undisputed will vacate his belt.

And for Inoue, that's a hell of a leap he'll be doing if he will vacate his belts because he will be facing one of the champions at 122 lbs. already. I wonder if Bob Arum feels great about this too because I know that he would want Inoue to have a test first before a title fight at 122. Also, I have a question. What will happen if Inoue rejects this mandatory fight? He doesn't have any belts to be stripped of if he will do that because he will be renewed once he climbs. Just wondering.

I'm all in with Donaire if he will be given another shot with the title match, once Inoue move up and try his shot to another division, we don't know what his fate on that decision but with his skills and power the fighting capabilities is really high for him to win. Moving back with the vacant belt and mandatory fight, Donaire would be great if he will claim one title for the country since we don't have anything as of now and it will be a good hype for pinoy fighters to start chasing those belt back to our pride.

No doubt as well for Inoue, that man will continue to evolve as long as he will fight tough boxers and is destined to make a name in the boxing industry.

For Donaire, I've read that his fight against Jason Moloney is still pre-approved, right? I hope it will be official once Inoue climbs the next weight class. That will be a good exposure for the Filipino Flash and probably we will have another Filipino boxing champion again.

Yes, LeBron James Jr. (Bronny) will be eligible for the 2024 Draft.

Quote
Initially, NBA Draft Room predicted Bronny being drafted no. 34 overall in the 2024 NBA Draft
Source: https://www.thefocus.news/sports/nba/when-will-bronny-james-be-drafted-in-the-nba/

Regarding to your 2nd question, yes, it will be the first time in the NBA History to see a father-and-son duo. As we all know, LeBron have said that he will be spending his final years in the NBA playing with his son, so it's safe to say that he will do whatever it takes to get into that team where Bronny will be drafted.
Wow, I confess I didn't know that! Thank you for this information
I even imagine this could happen...
I speculate that LeBron James will retire on his hometown team (Cavs) and he will do anything to get Bronny drafted to the Cavaliers after that, maybe 1 or 2 seasons playing together (LJ + Bronny), possibly LeBron will retire.
And I also don't doubt that by then Bryce will also be drafted to the NBA, lately he's been performing very well and he's grown a lot lately.
Well, this is just speculation on my part.

Changing the topic of conversation...

Unfortunately AD was injured again, and will be away for a indetermined time...
Guys, what do you think about this? Even without AD, will the Lakers have a chance to stand out in the regular season and go to the playoffs?

Lakers will face the Hornets, I believe it will be an easy game for the Lakers, but I have no doubt that AD will be greatly absence for his team

That is indeed possible, we all know that LeBron will have the liberty by that time to force a trade and finish his contract somewhere else like the Cavaliers for example where he got drafted and where his home team is, and most importantly to the team where his son, Bronny, will get drafted. That will be a history and the Cavs will surely want that to happen on their team.

Yes, Anthony Davis will be away indefinitely for now because of the injury he sustained. Yet the people aren't surprised by it because he's just too prone to expect that he will be healthy all year long without any injury on the process. Might be possible, but the chances are just slim. And just like what I've thought, the Lakers fell short again because of their inconsistency.

Oo, mukhang busy na ang lahat in preparation for Paskong Pinoy hehehe.

MERRY CHRISTMAS SA INYONG LAHAT KABAYAN Cool

I believe this could be the first time that father and son play in the NBA together, isn't it? Or am I wrong?

Yes, LeBron James Jr. (Bronny) will be eligible for the 2024 Draft.

2270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 23, 2022, 07:11:35 PM
Anyhow this is about Spence vs Thurman, and hopefully Spence will not hide on the excuse of his accident and will fight Thurman as his mandatory next year.

I hope so as that's the only way we will see a big fight next year involving Spence. The Spence vs Crawford is probably off already, so this is the only big fight that could bring excitement to us, and I'm pretty sure that Thurman will try to take the belt and be a champion again.

In my perspective, I think it's much better not to expect from this fight either because Errol Spence Jr. might use his situation as an excuse to get a free pass and we shouldn't also forget as well that Spence do still have some grudge against Keith Thurman because the current champion wasn't given a chance to have his shot at a title fight in the past years when Thurman was still a champion. I surely don't hope for that situation, but I don't see any reasons also to oppose it because their camp is so silent ever since the Crawford-Spence issue. All that talk that he is going after Crawford next now turns to dust. Just saying.

What we can do now is just to wait, since it was a mandatory fight then the organization can bring this one into reality, else, the belt will be available for Thurman, it's the schedule that fans and readers will be waiting after that said accident of Spence, but the fight might be push as the organization got the final say for this and not the camps that involves.

Well, I guess we don't have any other choice here other than waiting because their schedule is not yet posted plus, we have Spence's recent situation where his legs are affected. But I certainly do hope that he's not wasting anybody's time this time around and will not use his current situation as an excuse to delay the mandatory fight much longer than expected.
2271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: December 23, 2022, 06:29:30 PM

I always thought that Ryan Garcia and his camp (including Golden Boy) made the choice and that they have some reasons why it's better for Ryan not to have that tune-up fight, but it seems that it wasn't the case here. Ryan Garcia made the choice by himself and without giving a second thought about it. I agree that it would be a great help for Ryan Garcia to face Gesta first before Tank to get himself accustomed and have some first-hand experience about Tank's movements because Gesta moves like that too.

There were tune fights that ended in upsets, and some big names and legendary boxers have suffered from upsets, like Tommy Morrison, Lennox Lewis, and Mike Tyson, what appear to be easy fights and tune fights for multi-million deals turned into upsets
I will not rule out an upset here, Hector Garcia is a champion, and got a good record he should be motivated to give his all because it will benefit him more and will catapult his name to the top.
But Tank is a risk taker and always ready to take on just anybody something that is missing on Ryan Garcia, they have contrasting characters and personalities.

There are no issues in Tank's side because I know that he can overcome it successfully, it will be a good tune-up fight for him for sure and the experience he will gain from fighting against a champion will help Tank's case to silence Ryan Garcia. But how about Ryan Garcia? His tune-up fight would be a great help for him as well, but he chose not to. Upsets will be always around lurking in the shadows, it's in the boxer if how will he handle the risks.

I thought that the acquisition of Christian Wood will make the Mavericks better than last season, but I guess I was wrong.

We can't say that's a wrong impression already. We are only at around 1/4 of the whole season and there is still more time to see if some good changes will happen on the way, not just for Christian Wood but for the whole Mavericks. The real battle is on the playoffs if only they will able to make it.

Maybe the Mavericks should consider putting Wood as a starter for a change. This season, he only played as a starter for 3 games out of 28 games. Although his average playing time is somehow decent, there might be a good rhythm right away if Wood will able to flex his performance at the very start of the game.

That might be a good scenario for a change if Christian Wood will be among the starting five, let's just hope that coach Kidd will give the rookie a chance because he already showed what he is made of and that he is worth to take a risk. We never know, the entire roster might improve with him on the starters and Luka won't be that tired knowing that he have someone to lean on. As of the entire situation of the Mavericks, I do agree that it's still too early to say what would be their situation because like last season, they suddenly showed resistance and beating heavy teams in the playoff run.

Kamusta kabayan?

Good luck mga kabayan!

Aba! Kasarap nyang nakuha mo kabayan ah, congratulations!

In another order of ideas we have:

De La Hoya respects Gervonta Davis for taking Hector Garcia fight for tune-up for Ryan

Quote
By Dan Ambrose: Oscar De La Hoya respects Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis for choosing to fight Hector Luis Garcia as his tune-up opponent on January 7th to get him ready for his mega-bout against Golden Boy Promotions/DAZN/Instagram star Ryan Garcia on April 15th.

Oscar had very little praise for his fighter Ryan for choosing not to take a tune-up, and he feels this is a “mistake” on his part because it would have helped him.

De La Hoya admits that Hector Garcia (16-0, 10 KOs) isn’t a real tune-up because he’s a world champion and viewed as a threat to the unbeaten Tank Davis (27-0, 25 KOs), although Golden Boy views him as such.

For his part, the 23-year-old Ryan (23-0, 19 KOs) has changed his mind about facing Mercito Gesta in a warm-up fight on January 28th.

What greatness is he talking about? He cannot be proud to himself and boast what he had done because he chose to avoid some specific fights to maintain his status. Errol Spence can say whatever he wanted to say but people know what's the truth because it is undeniable that he is afraid to face Crawford, and I reckon that even Charlo felt the same.
Frankly, this new generation of boxers are really different to what we had before because they have so many excuses, exactly the reason why Manny Pacquiao is viewed as one of the legendary boxer because he didn't avoided someone while Mayweather despite having the undefeated record doesn't have what Pacquiao had.  And there's this boxing politics that also gives some struggles to boxers who wanted to cement their legacy.

I want to add some more, it's all about money and the fighters now is more on that side they just idolizing Mayweather, whatever critics will say he managed to complete his career with the belts and a clean no loss records, plus, he always have a big shares in each fight and whatever you say he can look at your eyes boosting his achievements, just like how Spence is now showing, he speaks loud since he still holding the belts.

That is funny, I would rather have the 8 division title than have 0 losses at all.  0 losses may look good but 8 division title is way way way better than unblemished records.  If Manny Pacquiao is an American I bet he is already labeled as the G.O.A.T.  Besides, there are lots of controversies in Mayweather's fight, especially the one he has with Maidana during their first fight.  If pounds for pounds is taken as literally as it is, then Manny Pacquiao would be the Pound for pound king until someone breaks his record of 8 Division title.

Agree with that, but he will never be GOAT because we have Ali who is a GOAT, and there's only one GOAT. Manny should be in the top 3 boxers of all time for me, I believe he should ranked higher than Mayweather because of his achievements that has not surpass to anyone yet.

It will be tough as like what you mentioned Ali already have that title and it will be hard to break that label, and I also agree that Manny will be on the top 3 and will be acknowledged as much better than what Mayweather have, 8 division champ is a kind of achievements that still tough to break, plus that charmed where fans would really love to watch each time he got the schedule.

Spence might be following the steps of Mayweather. He can end his career with belts and a clean records plus a huge amount of money.

Regarding on that G.O.A.T. title, the great Muhammad Ali already owned it, and that's the kind of achievements that is hard to break. Just like what Manny Pacquiao had done, I mean, 8-Division World Champion? You can say anyone who's also great and champion but Manny Pacquiao will be separated because he's also the one and only who held that achievement.

Quote
Spence might be following the steps of Mayweather. He can end his career with belts and a clean records plus a huge amount of money.

No doubt, and I'll just add, that also includes filtering who he will be facing to avoid great risks that will scathe his record. Moreover, that same move that Mayweather did to let his opponents grow much older because he faces, that might be the situation here with Spence against Crawford.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 21, 2022, 08:27:19 PM
Without an all-star beside Luka, he will never win a title. That's how NBA is right now. In order for a team to win, you need to have at least 2 all star player on the team. You expect them to be in the play-in tournament. I believe they might make a roster change or make some trades this season, and maybe that might change the tempo of the team. I expect them to be at the 5-8th spot. Slightly higher than your prediction.

Luka is the main man of the Mavericks, he is the Kobe Bryant of LA Lakers and Giannis of Bucks, so you can't really expect to win without him. Dallas IMO are better this season, though they have struggle this early but comes playoffs, Wood will be very useful as they have a good scorer inside unlike last season.

But Luka has nobody to depend on because the team's situation is highly depending on him and him alone, the rookie might be giving some improvements but, in the end, Luka still needed to carry the whole team because he doesn't have someone to rely on unlike Kobe Bryant and Giannis who have Shaquille O'Neal and Khris Middleton, respectively.

Which explains again why they are struggling this season, but that rookie Christian Wood though, maybe this time will be much different. Anyway, let's see.

Is this correct? The Philippines currently holds no boxing championship at all? This is one of those things that seems completely unbelievable, now it possible this is just bad luck but it is still impressive, because the success of Pacquiao was so incredible that I am sure that many young people at Philippines have tried to emulate him, so I would guess there are a lot of people wanting to become professional boxers, so even if bad luck was involved there must be something else at work as well, and most likely a lack of support for the sport could be the most likely explanation for what it is happening.

Unfortunately, yes.

There's no Philippine boxer now that holds any title as both Donnie Nietes and Mark Magsayo fell short and lost by a way of decision on their respective opponents in the same month. Casimero on the other hand, is not a champion anymore after the incident before his bout with Paul Butler which eventually resulted into a stripping of title. Maybe soon, we can see another Philippine champion in the boxing ring that will carry the torch on behalf of the Filipino People

Kamusta kabayan?

Good luck mga kabayan!
