2261  Economy / Economics / Re: How do cryptocurrencies affect Global Economy? on: January 07, 2023, 12:22:11 PM
Those countries that are making their CBDC, they're totally out of the circulation and market cap of the entire crypto market because they're not really cryptos.
They're just making it look like that those CBDCs are crypto because people will get to hooked with its name and descriptions. But other than that, the crypto market shall be a stand alone market and that's what the governments are trying to compete because they see that there's a huge market and money that they can get to touch with it. And that means for them and financial institutions that they can no longer ignore the importance that it has got for the global market.
2262  Economy / Speculation / Re: Michael Saylor and Bitcoin or Michael Saylor and altcoin? on: January 07, 2023, 09:47:48 AM
It comes to that point that when the market is quite passive, there could be these calculations and interesting articles of what IFs from these rich and influential folks in the space.
I guess it's just a matter of preference just like any other person that invests a lot in bitcoin and even saw people telling them that they could earn more with an altcoin or with a meme coin, doesn't breaks the idea that being patient and stable with bitcoin is the best long term plan. While after the merge or the transition of pow to pos for ETH, it's more of a rich's game now but I don't think he's willing to join them with it. He's got a more solid long term plan through bitcoin.
It seems that they are bored so while waiting for the market to become active again, these people can think of these things for a while so that they still have something to talked about and won't be zero in terms of content.

It's normal that when the market dips, Bitcoin is also starring or the first one to dive and it's also the coin who can dumped a lot but if the market pumps, BTC is again the coin that can lead the way and they will see that altcoin like ETH are going to be left behind in terms of gains. We know that Michael Saylor is an avid fan of Bitcoin so even if ETH is upgraded now, it won't remove the fact that he is still loyal to his first and main coin which is Bitcoin.
He's a perma bull unless he states and changes his ways and starts to tell things about altcoins. But, so far we can't see him doing such because he only shows on what type of investor he is together with his company. They're for the long term and that's the typical company in finance that sees the fortune into something and while they consider it still as an early time, they're not wasting any moment and opportunity while they can. And I'm sure that it's not just going to be Michael Saylor and his company that will be the content and subject of this type of articles.
2263  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: (Updated) Stake is generous! (Did you recently get a $40 "Russian Bonus" from.. on: January 07, 2023, 08:06:35 AM
It made me look at my email with my account there and thought that I've received some bonus as well since there's this email that has "bonus" on the title but it's not the same email of what OP and bitbollo received. I guess it's for specific users that have received that bonus and email and lucky you are guys that stake gave you a bonus and free $40.

It is a bonus for what, they should state what the bonus is for, so we will not be guessing what is intended for and those who received will not wonder, there is always a qualification why they receive this bonus and I wonder why on Russian language, maybe because the majority of those who received are Russians so they send through the Russian language to save time and effort on classifying who to send, this buzz alone is a good promotion for Stake.
On the 2nd post of OP, it's not really an intended bonus as said but since they've already sent it to selected users, that means that they're free to keep it and they're generous on that part for those users that have sent the $40. We don't need to guess, those that are eligible for that might just be lucky to be selected by their system.
2264  Economy / Economics / Re: Effect of the FIFA world cup on Qatar's economy on: January 06, 2023, 11:53:34 PM
It's not about the quick return or ROI for Qatar but it's about attracting more people into them that have seen the beauty of Qatar. It'll be a long term effect on them and at the same time, the historical value of hosting FIFA is already an achievement. A lot of countries are bidding for it to host the competition and yet, there has to be standards that they're factoring for the organization to approve a country to host it.
It's more than that and Qatar did just the right thing of hosting an event that will be forever part and pride of their country and people.

2266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it advisable to memorize seed phrase? on: January 06, 2023, 05:18:39 PM
I read that one of the best ways to preserve a seed phrase is to write it on a piece of paper and keep it in a safe place... Somewhere safe could be in your home out of the reach of family members and friends, it could also be a safe deposit box. But not everyone are financially buoyant to afford the services of a deposit box.
This is correct but even if someone isn't financial capable of buying a safe or deposit box, how can you keep a lot of your assets in crypto when a thing that will give you additional security is can't afford. You really have to invest on it and slash some bucks on your crypto assets to have it.

I believe we must have seen or heard about fire outbreaks, where buildings are completely erased by fire. Imagine if the owner or occupant of such a building has some Bitcoin assets, and has his/her phone, tablet, laptop and the seed phrase piece of paper in the building and everything was lost to fire.
That person who might have that incident don't know how to do back ups, there are too many ways in creating a backup where it goes wherever you goes. So, you do the thing and strategy by doing that since the hint is there.

Now, this brings me to the question... Can seed phrase be memorized? It's advisable to memorize seed phrase?
I have heard and seen someone brought it up with this idea, yes you can memorize your seed phrase but it's not advisable at all. Do you trust your memory and mind? If so then you do it confidently but most of us can be forgetful and I've also seen situations where people have locked their bitcoins up with forgotten passwords, phrases and accounts. And that's why it's not advisable.
2267  Economy / Economics / Re: If your passive income beats inflation rate, deposit might be a better choice. on: January 06, 2023, 02:28:23 PM
That's actually a good hypothetical situation that you've made but when it comes to the actual scene, everything varies.

I am trying to implement this deposit thing in real situation and find a possibility to benefit from.
You have to and face any situation that might come to you but having that discipline of depositing or saving will bring you too far, trust me. But you'll also come into many realization that depositing or having your money parked in a savings account, you won't be satisfied with the result of it even if it's a compounding interest. You know who's earning a lot and satisfied with compounding interest? The millionaires to billionares and the wealthier than them. But if even you're not on their shoe, you can extract and really benefit a lot from the discipline that it creates to you.

2269  Economy / Speculation / Re: January bitcoin price out look on: January 05, 2023, 08:46:38 PM
The question now is with the current bitcoin price outlook what is the possible bitcoin January price outlook you can speculate on based on your personal market analyses?
Ranging below $16k and then up to $20k. This is for the month of January and that's what I think what might happen because with a long stability for its price, that's quite fearing for me as I've seen the same scene before when it's not moving a lot and then a sudden fall has came.
No one knows exactly how it's going to be at the end of this month. But, if some unexpected big news comes then it'll again be dependable on how good or bad it is, the impact will be there.
2270  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: First Exchange to Bite the Dust in 2023, Juno on: January 05, 2023, 11:22:55 AM
Lets see how this year goes , Whats your Opinion, and What do you think would be the another exchange which is under radar of going out of crypto market
I don't know, I have no crystal ball but to make it fair to the others we can think of all of them can bite the dust for this year. It's going to be like a sequence just as what happened last year. We don't know what exchange is going to be next or any crypto firm that's into business that will follow these bail out that came from 2022 and up to early this January 2023.

Crypto firm Juno urges users to withdraw after ‘uncertainty’ with custody partner
These exchanges should stand on their own and not too dependent on their custody partners. But well, this is the type of business that they think will make them flee from pulling out of their funds on their own pockets.
2271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you taken lessons? on: January 05, 2023, 09:32:32 AM
The FTX was the biggest lesson of all.  I had so many friends texting me asking "is my money safe on Coinbase".. smh.
On the other hand that's the good impact of these lessons. People who have been keeping their money on exchanges, they're starting to question themselves, relatives and friends that has an idea of the on going situation of the market and that is if their funds are safe on exchanges.
Well, if they'll just going to take a look at the situation, they should have the idea it's never been safe there and coming up with the incident of FTX and other exchanges that have fallen due to hacks, they should take the hint of it that their money is never safe kept on any exchange.
2272  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 1.6 BTC locked on Blockchain.com on: January 05, 2023, 07:33:00 AM
Since you've logged in to most of the browsers then I think it's time for you to test and use their app and maybe that will change the result. I've just also read it somewhere years ago and tried that solution and it worked, hopefully it will work to you.
Did the app bypass the IP verification procedure? If it doesn't then I don't think it can solve OP's problem. OP can't log in because he uses a new IP, so the client he uses doesn't really matter afaik. CMIIW.
I'm not sure with that but based on my experienced, it did really solved my problem on this one.

It will work if OP is using the same IP address as before and previously logged in using that device,
otherwise Blockchain will detect it as new device and ask for log in verification, it's extremely easy to test that behavior actually if you have an account.

Users who reported that it worked must have a static IP or have had the same IP address when they previously logged in to the app.
I see.
I guess you two are correct with it, during that time when I'm able to solve my problem back then was probably I still have that the same IP so it managed to successfully logged in.
@OP, do you have any updates?
2273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Crypto Marketet Is Dumping Drastically !! on: January 05, 2023, 05:43:07 AM
As for as I have seen that Crypto market has been dumping since the beginning of 2022 and now it is just 2023 and still crypto market is going down too and there are reasons behind this cause this is bear market and bug whales want to wash out small traders os that they have full money and they have also full control. So that is the main reason that we should just avoid all these things and focus on how to accumulate in this bear market and that could could just change our lives.
It is a cycle and now that we've passed on a 1-year bear market, I think that we're on a better state right now. The importance of going through with it is due to teaching us that we should be patient and while it's down as low as it was, the accumulation period is still there. It hasn't ended yet and there's still ample time for those that haven't accumulated yet. One big rival for every individual on this market when we're too bearish are ourselves. One may panic every time they see that the price of bitcoin or the altcoin they held don't go accordingly to the price projection that they've got. And as it dumps, more people are realizing that all of us have different thoughts. For those experienced, it's the time to accumulate but to the new and average ones, they think that it's the end of the market. As said, it's a cycle so those thoughts are also repeating.

2276  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 1.6 BTC locked on Blockchain.com on: January 02, 2023, 08:13:48 AM
I think that I've experienced this before and it's really problematic and annoying.

DId You tried using thé app on your phone this happen to me a Time ago
This is what I'm about to suggest. Since you've logged in to most of the browsers then I think it's time for you to test and use their app and maybe that will change the result. I've just also read it somewhere years ago and tried that solution and it worked, hopefully it will work to you.
2277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: December 30, 2022, 07:23:13 PM
This may look profitable for the government but I believe it will hit hard gamblers.  With the implementation of cashless gambling, gamblers are now exposed since they have to use their credit cards or debit card to play.  (Another way of the government to spy on their citizen.)
That won't be a problem for most gamblers IMHO. Being exposed to the government has already been there with our registrations and cards and ID stuff. They've been monitoring most of us and that's why if this is just the concern out of this law then it's not that concerning at all.
What's more concerning is that when our information is exposed or exploited. Like a hacker takes the database of our information from them then it will be worrisome because we don't know what they can do to our details but most likely, it will be sold to the market places, dark market or advertising companies.
2278  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you think that there will ever be an effort to boycott centralized exchanges? on: December 29, 2022, 07:29:12 PM
I think if there will be another instance that a huge hack will happen from another reputable exchange or another incident just as the FTX. This will drive many users to believe that they're no longer really safe at all and that will be a movement of volunteerism to get out of these centralized platforms. I really think that a news like this will trigger the community again, at least for us here, we do understand how these centralized exchanges work but outside the forum and mostly those that don't have a community but is in crypto, they'll have the idea then.
2279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving: If not Bitcoin Wallet then House for Fiat. on: December 28, 2022, 11:55:38 PM
I thought that you're about to advise people to buy real estate and lands but it's totally far from the suggestion of what you're trying to say. I know that there are rich folks that are keeping their fiat at home and is kept on a safe vault. But if you just keep it at your home then what's the sense of it? It's not different from keeping it at the banks and it'll still be affected by inflation. So, no matter how hard you try to keep it at home and you've got cash to spend with eventually, still, there's no difference of putting that in the banks and keeping it at home. Much better to buy some assets and let it grow there.
