2261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Please help activate Tron mainnet - need arround 5 dollars Trx on: December 18, 2022, 10:50:53 PM
In general, does the Tron address require a fee to activate it?
It's not like XRP that you need to have 10 XRP account reserve to activate a wallet. Tron wallet/address is just the same as btc, you don't have to pay any amount for its activation.
@OP, reply to your thread if you're done with your transaction.
2262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High Profit Projects Are Prone To Scam on: December 18, 2022, 09:48:24 PM
That's their marketing ploy, they're attracting investors to come to them as if they can earn 10000000% of gains from them. But in actual, there's no such legitimate project that can give them that much ROI and profit within a short period of time.
It's true that most of them are likely scam and everyone had to check it out first before entrusting and handing them your hard earned money, do not be fooled by those high earning potential scam promises.
2263  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Speculated] Barry Silbert dump on: December 18, 2022, 08:52:41 PM
I haven't seen the specific news about him dumping bitcoin but the news that I've found said that they're dumping altcoins.
News: Community Fears DCG is Selling as Altcoins Values Tank Massively

As for Barry Silbert, I think this is a rumour that is often circulated now.
Probably the market is back again that's having those rumours and FUDs that makes people panic, so the essence of the FUD is there and is giving the effect that the spreaders want.
2264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's been 2 months and now I am doing well.(I guess). on: December 18, 2022, 04:41:00 PM
Congratulations! You can have a network with them and friends of friends of your customer will have that idea that you accept crypto as it's likely that they've got friends that are into crypto too and might be interested to pay crypto.

But I am thinking to add 5% discount to anyone who pays with crypto. Hopefully that will attract those who doesn't use crypto.
hopefully that will help me grow more
That will for sure attract them, and on your end you still have the margin/profit from that discount so that's totally fine. That's a good promo discount for those that would like to pay you with crypto.
2265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fees on Dormant Accounts on Crypto Gambling Platforms on: December 17, 2022, 10:03:44 PM
Yes, it's not fair but they've got policies that tell them that they have all the rights to do whatever they want with the funds if the period that they've set was met by that dormant account.
It's hard to see people experience that because it's an amount that's quite high to gamble with but we can't do anything with that if that's policy. The only way to do it is to negotiate with the casino and ask them nicely if they can be considerate enough to you so that they'll return the fund.
It's possible but it's just a way of trying it out.

It's their right to close inactive accounts if it's been inactive for a long time especially if it is included in their TOS. That's the reason why we are always advised to avoid agreeing to a casino's TOS without reading it. It is also not a good idea to keep our funds in our casino wallet and leave it there for a long time. We should better store it in our wallets to avoid occurences like this in the future because once we leave it there without checking, the casino will have the authority over it.
No issues about that as it's their rules and someone who has been inactive should also expect that there can be consequences like closing of accounts for being inactive in a long time. Reading the TOS is important but someone only reads it when they're facing some issues with the casino. Let's be honest that majority just clicks the agreement button without reading the terms but I know that there are a few that really reads the whole thing.
2266  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla’s stock prices dropping fast on: December 17, 2022, 08:02:06 PM
Elon, himself said that people shouldn't buy Tesla's stock because it's utterly expensive and he don't want people to lose. Yet, people took his words oppositely and bought the stock.
With its overpricing, he's got all the initiative to sell his stocks and purchase and take the ownership of Twitter. It's just like transferring his wealth from A to B.
And this is normal for those folks that has a lot of money through their own shares of stocks from their companies.
2267  Economy / Speculation / Re: ELON sold his TSLA stock for $3.5billion. Will he re-buy BTC soon? on: December 17, 2022, 12:16:50 PM
Whether he buys or sells his Tesla stock, I don't think that we should assume that it will be more favorable for the bitcoin market because he'll use it to buy. Remember that he just purchased Twitter and I think he's still got a lot of balance on it for that acquisition made.
I wouldn't think that he'll use any penny on that money for buying bitcoin or any Dogecoin. He's got a lot of projects for his own companies and that could be more of the usage into those for funding.
2268  Other / Archival / Re: 2022 was the second worst year for Bitcoin on: December 16, 2022, 11:42:01 PM
I don't really understand why people are still hoping for some sort of rise in bitcoin when the market is on the verge of a crash and negative news comes one after another. What resources will be used to conduct the bullrun? Now it is worth hoping that Bitcoin at least retains what it has, and does not fall even lower.
It because they've come up with that idea from the bull run that has happened for both 2017 and 2021. And that's already stuck in their minds and think that every holiday season, there's a potential to rise. Well, there is actually but not for this year as the bull run has passed already and we have to deal with this bear market.

With just over 2 weeks left until the end of 2022, Bitcoin is at risk of closing Q4 in the red, meaning that 2022 will be the first all-red year in history, quarter-by-quarter. 2022 brought many anti-records to bitcoin.
True, too many incidents happened for this year but still it's considered as a good year despite that it's 2nd to the worst after 2018, this bear market proven a lot for bitcoin. Well, this is at least for those that have been in the market for years, those that have seen the ups and downs of bitcoin for different years.
2269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fees on Dormant Accounts on Crypto Gambling Platforms on: December 16, 2022, 09:43:46 PM
I think casinos should write in their TOS that if a person is inactive for 6 months then the account will be blocked, and that person would have to create another account, this would be a better solution than the casino letting the inactive person relax and then and 6 months later that person comes back and logs in and is faced with something like: - 1000$ in the account balance, that is, the person will have a debt with the casino of 1000$ definitely I do not agree with that, it is not fair. the casino should block the account of inactive people for a long time, something like 6 months or more than putting a fine or fee
Yes, it's not fair but they've got policies that tells that they have all the rights to do whatever they want with the funds if the period of time that they've set was met by that dormant account.
It's hard to see people experience that because it's an amount that's quite high to gamble with but we can't do anything with that if that's policy. The only way to do it is to negotiate with the casino and ask them nicely if they can be considerate enough to you so that they'll return the fund.

2270  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 16, 2022, 06:50:49 PM
When you are obliging yourself on saving up a particular amount then you would really be doing your best on attaining that because you do have a goal in mind which you do need to achieve then you would really be

finding ways.Yes its hard but not something impossible if you really wanted to do so but there are really some circumstances in life which you cant really avoid and ending up on spending everything you do have.
Each person does have their own different lifestyle which it is really just that depending on what you are really that up to.
If you are intending to have savings on monthly basis then you would really be that serious on achieving that.
Yes, you'll be serious with what you're about to do because that's going to be your money and not others and that's why it's really encouraging to do it when you have some plans in the future and thinking you're obliged on doing it.

Then try to minimize your expenses like cutting some unnecessary bill(s) and use an alternative. It's not easy to save if you have too much in hands to pay but if you are in a situation like that then all you have to do is invest the amount you can afford to lose. Since you can't invest if you have too much expenses not to mention if you are living in a high cost of living city.

Saving isn't a problem if you are still single working in the high cost of living city because you have less responsibility compared to those married people.
I just can't, I only got few bills to pay but they're all necessary so that's hard to be cut because all of them are important. I agree to you that when I was still a single person, things are too easy for me including savings. But as you grow and you become a grown up man, you just can't be the same anymore.
2271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Better Ways To Manage Energy Consumption For Casino Centers. on: December 15, 2022, 11:22:29 PM
High prices of oil affects energy thus, expensive billing will come to those that are consuming a lot. It's an important matter for businesses like in the niche of casinos on how they can save money through saving energy.
Saved energy = saved money
They have to start from those old equipments that they have because those are too heavy and consumes a lot of energy unlike the newer models and versions today. That's to begin with and maintaining and cleaning on a scheduled date will also save them money because dusts and dirts that are on their machines will also consume more energy when it's having hard time to blow some air.
2272  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 15, 2022, 10:12:37 PM
Each amount counts when you try to save because it's hard to be consistent on it when you've got too many things to pay. 1/3 for me is hard but manageable.
When you shoulder all the expenses then it's understandable why people can't have themselves their own savings. But as much as possible, any amount will do and if you've got 1/3 to save then that's better for you.
2273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges Native Token And Bitcoin on: December 15, 2022, 09:11:57 PM
I think that crypto exchanges shouldn't have their own native token. I may be wrong but I would love to get your opinions on this. Should crypto exchanges have their own native token?
It's in the between of yes and no for me. And I'll go with the no first, it's because that it's been oversaturated and every new exchange right now starts to make one for themselves and it's no longer about the use case and utility but more like a crowdfunding to them.
While it's a yes, since it's seen that it's part of those exchanges success when they've launched it and managed to reach the peak that they're experiencing right now.
2274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just how bad is the bear market right now? on: December 14, 2022, 03:03:40 PM
Just how bad is the bear market right now?
Historically low prices have endured for a longer period of time in the present bear market cycle than in any other.
Not as bad as 2018. You know why? It's because, 2018 was worse than this current bear market. But still, those that have bought at the top for this cycle might say that this is the worst bear market that they've seen and there's no need to argue with that. Anyone who's at lost is free to say what he thinks with the market, if it's not profitable as much as he want to be and dwelling in losses. That's how bad this bear market is and no one can skip it.
2275  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and crypto and stock is bs, but property is real on: December 14, 2022, 01:21:11 PM
Well, it seems that most of them are bs for you. So, it means that any investment that someone may get in will definitely a no-no to you. I'm into crypto and real estate but for those that I'm not with, I respect those investors that have been living well with those.
It's their preference and they've known and mastered those investments if they are for it. Well for stock investors, they've got an alternative for properties/real estate which is REIT.
2276  Economy / Economics / Re: The best Investment Will be defence and security here what on: December 14, 2022, 01:37:14 AM
We've been dealing with all of those problems ever since. And that's why it's no problem anymore if you've been dealing with it and got used to it. And that's why many are motivated to get out of the rat race so, they can have a good life and even if there are the existing problems in the society and governments, they'll barely affected by it.

Best Investment Are:
Armoured cars bullets and guns you take food from stores with gun not with money anymore it's all ready happening in USA some stores get robbed 3 times per day now when things go worse it Will be 5 times per day robbery.
That's not an investment and don't teach people to rob others that are working properly and thriving to survive in their daily lives.
2277  Economy / Economics / Re: Is long-term employee retention a losing battle? on: December 13, 2022, 11:12:05 PM
Employees we survey why they leave the company are usually dishonest in giving reasons, they will answer non -technical things such as wanting to work near home, feel uncomfortable with the environment and so on, a good company actually has a system to reduce the volume of employees who go out and enter So that the company's long -term goals can be easily realized and certainly make the company's culture better.
I think with the answer about being uncomfortable with the environment is a genuine answer. One wouldn't leave if they're liking the working environment and surroundings that they've got inside the company. On these times, it's important to skill up or you'll be replaced by someone better if you're underperforming. Another thing to worry about this long term employee absorption is with the AI. Yeah, sure it's still a long way to go with AIs but that's a big worry for most employees when a company starts to have those tasks can be done by an AI.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why every casino got bad habits? on: December 13, 2022, 09:52:03 PM
There's no perfect casino if we'll choose to be a critic of most of them. That's why we see every single little thing to them as something big for others to deal with it.
In reality, those that are satisfied with the casinos they're playing with. Even if there are little issues, they'll just let it pass as if nothing has happened because they're doing good with them.
It's like any other service that we use and utilities that we have, there would always be the complaints that they're receiving from various types of customers.
2279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need this now If you can make it on: December 13, 2022, 08:55:49 PM
You'll do the marketing? It's too ambitious to think of this plan and making it look like easy in executing it. The reality is you'll take time in doing it and you'll have to spend in all of it, how much budget you've got? Sorry to say but plans like this will remain a plan if you don't know where to start and where you're going to get your budget for funding it. Making project these days are easy if you've got money but making it known is harder and the hardest is to maintain it if ever you've got bunch of users and you're starting to get famous.
Also with the stable coin, how? Stable coins are usually under the control of government or simply, fiat-based. Another thing is capital if OP is really serious with this one. You have to be practical; money and time would be consumed and his part of just promoting it won't be enough. I also agree with the procedures to be not as easy as 1,2,3. Things should be well planned and be mindful of the risk on not succeeding. If we would think of how many projects are being released on a monthly ,basis, the ratio of projects succeeding over projects which are failing, has a huge difference.

An app would be done easily but creating a 'chai' would be another story. I suggest studying project procedures before coming to a vague idea if you are really that interested of creating one. Just my cents.
He thinks that it's an easy task to make his own stable coin and then he'll just withdraw real money from it. If this is done before, I think he might give it a true shot to it and there's a chance that he'll successful when the market wasn't yet too regulated at all.
The government won't think anything on him and his project even it will be named after a fiat or his local currency. But today, it's just too different to look at because the government's eyes are over it.
2280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SBF, arrested! on: December 13, 2022, 01:58:21 PM
Very surprising. There are a lot of hot issues right now in the cryptocurrency market.
I am curious now about the arrest of Sam Bankman-fried. Could this be a guarantee that users' funds on the FTX exchange will be refunded or given to the user back? The arrest of Sam Bankman-fried, could be a huge W for some people who lost their funds on the FTX exchange, but I am praying that these customers' funds must be given back to the customers.

Letter from Bahamas authority:
I hope that it will still be refunded, maybe it's impossible to return the whole thing for most users but at least there's should be a portion of it. It took them long before they put SBF in arrest. Well, they've got all the opportunity when he has attended conference where he's the speaker and didn't do anything with it.

If I am perfectly honest I did had my doubts this day will come as the guy has donated too much money to important figures and he has probably the best lawyers that his money can afford him.

But at least this is a step on the right direction, as someone like him needs to face charges for what he did, still even if he is eventually found guilty from the charges that are brought against him this is not going to help people to recover all the money they lost, but at least it will bring them some justice.
That was one of the reasons that anyone has been thinking of as to why he's still not arrested. But just this day, it came all of sudden and surprised to see this news. Although not surprised really because many are waiting for it.

Actually I wonder why SBF got arrested? is there any rule he broke? but I can't find any laws that he broke.

It's the risk if anyone leave their coins on centralized exchange and it's their right if they use customers money for investment or other thing to make more money, even banks did that. I believe they have a rule if they're not responsible to recover customers money when something bad happen, all centralized exchange have this rule. So it doesn't make sense for me if SBF go to jail just because this problem.
Too many things but as per the letter, Bahamas just cooperated with the request of US with the criminal charges that has been filed there against him.

actually this is a sad thing for the crypto world, who wants all of this to happen, everyone also doesn't want this to happen.
but this is reality, and justice must be upheld according to applicable law.
with this arrest, it gives knowledge that every crime will definitely be uncovered, and it will definitely smell wherever it runs.
so the conclusion is don't be a greedy person, and fall into the world of crime.
This arrest shows that whoever wants to f*ck up with people's money, there will be a place for them and will experience the same thing.

The time is coming when SBF would get a jail sentence for the many bad things he did or approved to have done in FTX...and his lawyer/s will do everything they can to minimize the jail terms. Just like Elizabeth Holmes of Theranos, Sam will have to pay the many frauds he did and it does not matter to me if creditors will get the money owed to them but certainly they are entitled to get some as there are many asserts still left intact by FTX so it is a matter of legally liquidating them. Sam tried to make his name a little bit more acceptable with his interviews and with the mainstream media playing along...but the immense pressure coming from different directions for law enforcers to do what they should be doing has finally come to the arrest of the man...definitely no more the golden boy of the crypto industry he is now its Bernie Madoff version.
Well, he's got all the right to defend himself and will surely get the best lawyers to protect and defend him against the cases that were filed to him. He's done wrong with too many people and he has to pay for it but still, the law will be fair to him even if we know the obvious.

This is the news that everyone who has lost funds because of the actions of this crime has been waiting for on the FTX exchange, but what is more desirable for people who have suffered losses is not only to see SBF imprisoned but to be clear about their money, what percentage is the probability that they can get their money back , because even though SBF is in prison, it is possible that when the court later he will only get a light sentence which does not fulfill justice for those who are aggrieved
It's just like a partial justice but still, there something that has been done against him so that people who have been hoping that there's an action sees that the authorities are working on it. If the money that he has embezzled will be returned to the people, I guess most of them will have nothing against him anymore as long as he returns it.

Today I became overjoyed to find out that SBF was arrested by Bahamian Authorities and that the United States Government was going to charge him with the serious crimes of money laundering, wire fraud, and securities fraud.
I think its strange that he was arrested the day before he was going to testify today and tomorrow. The timing for him to be arrested seems fishy if you ask me.  I have also read that SBF and FTX's inner circle had a secret group chat on the Signal app called 'Wirefraud'. The plot thickens in this turn of events.
I didn't know that there's an activity prior to this arrest but we don't know what's with it and there's no need to go further with that as he's already been arrested.

Oh poor soul, and in his greatness he even said lately he will start another business to pay back the missing funds... How injust are these bad people... (/s)
He's not sorry for what he's done and not even remorseful with it. As if giving a solution and starting a business is too easy on him while the people that have entrusted him their money are struggling and unsure if their money will be back.

This is truly a piece of good news, but never the news that would give justice to the victims of SBF's fraud. The perpetrator might be tried and jailed for so long for all I care, but will it bring back the money that has gone? The real justice is when this money is given back to those who invested with FTX, but I know that would not happen.

I hope more regulations could be put in place among the centralized exchange since they are within the reach of the world government. This is another justice that could be served to avoid the repetition of this ugly event!
This is just some of justice and it's still incomplete. We want more and more satisfying ending on the end of the victims. With the incident, the government are going to be stricter with rules and policies towards these centralized exchanges.

I just think that he's just a pawn, and the real people behind him, got the money, imagine the time we waited for him to be arrested, the US government take time to make this actions which should had been done earlier, maybe they are also on the ropes, and they have no choice but to drop the hammer for the guy, but no matter what he is still responsible for the collapse.
Well, majority of us think that he's the big guy behind. But if he'll testify and will say that there are even more behind him and even powerful people then that's another case that will be opened if he's trying to save himself from all of the charges. Although, I don't think that he can alibi and run away from it, if so.

They could not recover the funds because, as the investigation states, it was hacked, right? No more funds remain in the system, which will be a hassle for everyone. It will not be able to recover the funds, but somehow it will make a "good" feeling for those affected by the FTX. The void left in the heart isn't going to be enough for sure.

At least they are doing the right thing to get to the bottom and do something about what happened.
If there are still some remaining assets, cryptos and not. Those can be used to refund the money of the people but will that sustain the overall loss? I don't know. But hopefully, there will still be a lot of the victims that will take back their money even if it's not guaranteed.

Finally, but this is little bit out of topic is Do Kwon arrested too after luna happened, and the second question is all the user fund still cant be withdraw it till this date. and just curious what happened if FTX doesn't have money to repay all the user and they declared to bankrupt already
1. Do Kwon is still roaming somewhere, a fugitive and hasn't been arrested yet.
2. He already forked it and got away with that problem, which is the same proposal as what SBF made.
3. There's nothing everyone can do with it, he's already run away with the money with his cronies.

While him finally getting arrested is a good news, people that got their money lost in FTX are still very far way from any justice. SBF paid shit load of money to both Democrats and Republicans and will have top lawyers defending him so I don't think that people should celebrate just yet.
It may not be near to the actual justice but it's good to see that there's the initiation to him. That's the sad part of it, with all of his "donations" to those big folks, we'll see if they'll come to save him on his tough times.

The U.S. and the Bahamas have had an extradition treaty in place, so why would he stay there, if he was guilty?  With a net worth of nearly $17 billion, Sam Bankman-Friedman could have gone to any other place where the US does not have a extradition treaty?

Most of these guys are excellent entrepreneurs and financial gurus, but they lack basic business skills and how to manage a business. Karpeles did the same thing with Mt Gox.... and the whole thing collapsed.  Roll Eyes
A skill that could have been used properly but him and his cronies didn't used it well but instead used it to take advantage of others. They've done fraud to people's money and if he's a genius he wouldn't done that in the first place, we'll just leave it to the authorities.

I hope the arrest isn't for show only like when the off-camera SBF is living like a king with all the assistant and lavish living.
I hope so too but we can't just stop thinking of any other possibilities since he's like a big funder to the political parties in the US.

What kind of business does SBF wants to go into in other for him to be able to pay back customers funds ? Who does he think he is fooling, he has list his trust that people have by doing away with their money.

FTX crash has wrecked some rich crypto investors who left major of their asset in his exchange and has also discourage some persons who left their coin in his exchange i.e this scammer SBF has done great harm to the cryptospace and he is still proud and say bla bla bla. After the law has caught up with him,he will know that life is not as easy as he thinks. He got arrested at the right time,he might be spending his Xmas in custody.
He thinks that any solution he's going to suggest will be likened by the massess. But it's not like that, many are so full of him as if it's not a big deal of what he did. And the fate has reciprocated to what he's done and favored the people. Still, this is a long way to go.
