2281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 30, 2019, 09:20:25 AM
I watched Mavericks vs Nuggets last night, i didn't expect Mavericks to win this one, especially considering that both Porzingis and Doncic were not good, but their bench scored like 50-60 points, and that made a difference.

You should never sleep on the MAVS. They are young but they have very talented players. Luka and Porzingis are not the only players to lookout for in MAVS. This game could have gone either way that is why I am hesitant to make a bet on it.

Davis was a beast tonight, Lakers defeated the Grizzlies by 29 points and Davis has a big contribution.
He has, 40 points and 20 rebounds which shows how effective he is as a big man.
This is what the Lakers needs, aside from Lebron, there's Davis which is very dominant in the inside.

It is expected of him. The guy is a beast even when he was still with the Pelicans. Now that he has Lebron, he can have more space to do what he wills inside. And when Kuzma returns from injury, the Lakers will be even a harder team to beat.
2282  Economy / Gambling / Re: DexGames 😊 dexgames.net 👍 are different from All the existing crypto-games🚀 on: October 30, 2019, 08:05:39 AM
Can anyone verify that the apps are clean from viruses and malware? I am afraid I can't download and test this dex games unless it is verified that the downloads are clean. I do not want to infect my pc.

Just checked out the site op since I am a fan of decentralized crypto related apps and encountered a lot of lag while checking it out. The system requirements that you mentioned in the earlier post are minimal and my PC covers all requirements which is why I am confused about the lag.

I wanted to check out the heads and tails and crypto racing games, but the lag put me off. I hope that you will reduce the lag asap.

I guess lags and slow response is typical with dex games.
2283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Holiday Season Card with QR code on: October 29, 2019, 08:58:46 PM
Holiday season is just around the corner and I am planning to come up with my own design of card with holiday seasons message and a QR code that they can scan and get Bitcoins as a gift. Its not limited to Holiday seasons only, it maybe used for special occasion too like birthday and weddings. Its a simple way to promote Bitcoin and increase awareness. What do you think guys?

A good gift idea. I will just suggest that the QR code will be concealed because if it is exposed, there is a chance that persons, other than the intended giftee, can scan and steal the bitcoins.
2284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto, here's an idea for you (if you are still out there): on: October 29, 2019, 05:50:25 PM
That is a pretty useless idea. Those 10K sats that will be distributed will not be put in good use and worse, will be included in the statistics for lost bitcoin because owners will probably not care about what they received and will lose the private keys eventually. And the idea of having a worldwide KYC is very frightening.

By giving 10,000 Satoshi to every living human being on earth.
That's 750,000 BTC. Who's to say Satoshi even owns that much BTC,

I think he does. It is estimated that he owns 980K bitcoins.
2285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 3 on: October 29, 2019, 04:33:35 PM
What if,... you suddenly get a jackpot but it wasn't meant to be given to you, and it was mistakenly transferred to your account (CryptoWallet) ? What would you do? 🤔🤨
Are you gonna run with it and leave the account? Or be a good samaritan? Come on. Don't be so foolish let's be honest!🤣
If it is already in my wallet, then it is mine. Just like what they always say, if you do not own the private key, then it is not yours. They send it to my wallet, I own the private keys, I take control of the fund, it is mine. I will spend it whatever way I want it spent.

That what if of yours is so impossible to happen.
This is just a hypothetical question obviously.

2286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 29, 2019, 03:40:30 PM
Well, I don't like the Pelicans because of Lonzo Ball. This kid doesn't have the will to win and he is over hyped by his father and they just said after he left the Lakers that they won't win another championship. Look at now, it's karma for the Ball family and he will never win a championship in his career.
Too much hate for Lonzo because of his father. But to be fair with Lonzo, he is improving even under tremendous pressure because of all the trash talk and hype created by his father.

Projections will be 1% per year field goal improvement. That makes him 55% FG accurate in 20 years. That's a great accuracy rate to retire.
His progress should plateau at some point. We just hope he has the discipline to continue practicing and improving.
2287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do we still expect a repeat of 2017 ? on: October 29, 2019, 08:34:05 AM
The year 2017 was a golden year for bitcoin wherein it got global attention after the crazy pump in it's value but are we still expecting a repeat of 2017 for the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020 ? Do we have any concrete proof that we will experience bull run apart from the bitcoin halving ? We expected the same last year but ended up in disappointment and will it be wise to expect the same or we can expect a decent pump if not multi fold increase in the value of bitcoin and altcoin ?

I do not expect any bull run happening. Actually, I am preparing for the worst to happen before the halving. Everyone is expecting that a bull run will happen before the halving. But I expect a bear or dump before the halving because I expect the whales to accumulate bitcoin. The bull run will happen maybe 6 months to a year after the halving event.

yeah but these are still the first two matches. there is still a chance in the next match. but if GSW doesn't change the strategy and only rely on Curry, I think the results will be the same in the next match. and let's hope that Thompson will recover from his injury soon and be able to play again for the Warriors

He will play again for the warriors but not this season. Whatever improvement GSW has in their mind, they must do it with their current roster.

Is it me or you also guys noticed Lebron declining? The king is old and it is showing lately. He is not that physical nowadays.

It is expected. It is his 16th season in NBA already. Even how great Lebron is, he cannot deny that father time has caught up with him. Changing how he plays is the only way to cope up with it.
2289  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Buyers Club on: October 28, 2019, 02:44:57 PM
This is good initiative. More will be interested in doing cost-averaging if they are seeing somebody getting successful or getting good profit in doing it.

I have just one concern. If it is going to be a club, some information might or will be exposed. I do not want to expose my identity or how much BTC I have. How do you propose to keep each individual anonymous?
2290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 28, 2019, 08:22:24 AM
A blow out loss for the warriors this time against OKC. I think there is something wrong with how the warriors are playing. It seems that they don't have that championship grit that they have the previous season.

The season barely began. It is obvious from the very start that GSW will not be the top team this year because of losing key players like Iggy, KD and KT. And the new players will have to learn their system. The soonest the new starting line up can adapt to the level of play the previous members used to play, the sooner they can compete competitively. Maybe we can see improvements in the middle of this season.
2291  Economy / Gambling / Re: NBA MVP and Championship on: October 28, 2019, 01:32:04 AM
Do you think Steph curry has a chance to be an MVP this NBA season?
and do you think GSW can still make it to the finals without KD and Klay?
I am a fan of GSW but seeing them play for their first 2 games made me think they can't make it. ^^

Who is your bet team to make it to finals?

YOu should move this topic to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=228.0
or just participate in this discussion https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1220979.0

To answer your question,

it will be very hard for GSW to make it to the finals this year. Western Conference has very competitive teams and competition is very high. But since Curry is now the center of their offense, I believe he can perform more now and his stats will be better than when he shares offense with KD and KT. That means, if he continues to perform better throughout the season, he has a shot to become MVP this year.

Who is your bet team to make it to finals?

LA teams are the heavy favorite this year but most of the teams in the west are heavy contenders. My favorite is Clippers for the west and Bucks for the east.
2292  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't react to the fluctuations on: October 27, 2019, 07:15:22 PM
We have been doing same mistakes again and again that's by reacting to the market fluctuations as either we tend to start buying like there is no tomorrow when we see pump or else panic and empty our coffers for slightest  dump and the reason I am suggesting you all to stop reacting is for the fact that the bitcoin market is going through quick pump and dump from past 4 or 5 days so it will prove fatal if we sell out or buy at this point of time. Just take some time and look observe the trend for week or so before jumping into any conclusion.

It cannot be helped. Those who have been here for a long time and acquired enough experience will not be easily swayed by market fluctuations and P&D news. But there will always be newbies who easily get scared when the market dumps or FOMO when it pumps. But in time they will learn and will adapt to market fluctuations. They will have to take their losses as stepping stones to become better in cryptocurrency.
2293  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency usage will boost economy or make it worst ? on: October 27, 2019, 05:41:31 PM
What if all those big corporates and businesses starts using crypto as a mode of payment just to avoid tax which will cause a direct loss to the government which uses tax for the betterment of the country. This might not affect corrupt countries as it doesn't matter because tax money goes to politician's coffers but what about developed nations?
That country will definitely start implementing laws that will tax bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Corporates and businesses cannot hide behind cryptocurrency to avoid taxes because they will be audited. Their cashflow will reveal where their money is. It is better for them to just pay taxes than face tax evasion cases and heavily penalized.

This might not affect corrupt countries as it doesn't matter because tax money goes to politician's coffers but what about developed nations?
Developed countries probably already have laws or guidelines in taxing cryptocurrencies.
2294  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Threatening EXIT SCAM on POLONIEX or just worst service? *** WARNING *** on: October 26, 2019, 10:49:16 PM
Poloniex is one of the exchanges that have the worst customer service in their industry. Probably the reason they lost their spot as top exchanges before. I am not really sure if they are going to do an exit scam but thanks for the heads up.

My security email is not the email on my mobile Smiley
Going thru the next step and suddenly my account was BASIC and not veryfied anymore!? They just canceld my state.

I am just a bit confused with this one. Is your email in your mobile app the same email account that is VERIFIED in poloniex. I am thinking it is viewed as a new account that is why it is basic account.
2295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 25, 2019, 09:15:24 PM
So, if PG could comeback and make a big difference then it is great but when you have a team that is already an amazing team and already destroying whoever they face, it feels like any change would be very dangerous.

That is not dangerous. It is actually perfect for load management for both Kawhi and Paul George. They can rest and still be confident that the team can do well against strong teams because they have talented players coming from the bench. This will keep them healthy and ready when the playoffs come (the time when their minutes matters the most).

2296  Economy / Speculation / Re: some people love imagining doomsday when there is any drops! on: October 25, 2019, 07:26:22 PM
over the past 2 days that we saw a small 9% drop i have seen all kinds of so called "speculation" where people are seeing all kinds of doomsday scenarios.

Normal routine for bear people to push the price further down. FUD at its best. This time they failed though because the market is bouncing back up. Next, you will see the bulls speculating why the sudden price pump.
2297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 25, 2019, 02:14:07 PM
I know PG was out of the game but I don't know who is Chris Smoove? lol.

By the way, speaking of how they dominate the Warriors, people are now expecting that they will become the team that is hard to beat and probably the team with a chance to win the championship this season, that would be Leonard back to back championship on different teams, and I don't know if there's anyone who already did that in the past,.

It is too early to tell. Remember, this is the most competitive NBA season for more than a decade. The teams are well balanced that there are really no heavy favorites to win the championship. Those who are easily concluding that this is Clipper's year is not really considering how heavy the competition in the West is.

[...]
That's the true loyal warriors fan. Can I know how long will Klay Thompson is out? It's very unlikely for him to play for this 2019-20 season as I've read in a article that Steve Kerr said it's really hopeless for Klay as he will have a undergoing surgery in July 2020.

KT will not be playing this season. It is time for Curry to prove his true worth or the warriors will tank this year.
2298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 23, 2019, 01:28:55 PM
... Clippers being prepared enough surprising the Lakers from this opening game. Seems that they are much hunger as we seen how they played, Leonard still very impressive leading the team
with handwork from all ends giving his team mates the boost that's needed to show good quality minutes while inside the court.

This is not surprising at all. Clippers already made the playoffs last year and now you are adding Kawhi to their offense and defense. It is not just hunger, they are just the better LA team right now.

How about put a little blame to Lebron, he was under performing in this game and in the 2nd half he wasn't really shooting well.
Actually only Green and Davis who are really performing well in that game against the whole team of the Clippers.

Lebron only scored 18 points, that clearly says he struggle in the game because he usually score more than 20 points.
We can also attribute his poor performance to Clippers awesome defense. Kawhi did a good job guarding Lebron.
2299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin’s Rise Neutralizes Bearish Mood on: October 22, 2019, 06:51:54 PM
I was actually nervous for the past two days as I was watching Bitcoin teetering towards the $7,000 level. Right now, Bitcoin just made a small bounce back reaching the $8300 zone with a possibility for the coin to hold on into the same range for the next few days. However, there remains the danger that it can get back to the fear level zone. In other words, Bitcoin is not out of the woods, yet.

Are you also one of the many hoping for a bullish rally ahead by Bitcoin? Would you recommend for others to enter Bitcoin right now?

When it comes to bitcoin, a few percentages of fluctuations in price are normal. The current movement does not indicate a bullish rally. We are still in the accumulation stage. And though it is a good time to buy, I will not recommend it to others. I do not want to be on the other end of the blame when things go south.
2300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 22, 2019, 03:28:17 PM
Tonight there is a big game in Los Angeles between Los Angeles Lacers and Los Angeles Clippers, I'm exciting to watch this game! It's about glory about who dominate the town is't yellow or white, both teams have great players, Lacers have the big LeBron James and Anthony Davis and other stars.. In the other side there is Leonard Khawi and other stars.. It will be a great game and I think Lakers will be the winner.

Both teams do not have the complete cast because of injury but I guess it will still be very interesting to watch. I will still be watching and will be betting on Lakers this time because PG13 won't be playing tonight.

Quote
MJ on Steph Curry:

“Still a great player. Not a Hall of Famer yet, though. He’s not.”

Technically he is correct. He is not a HOF, YET. He is a great player and will be HOF someday.
