What do we bet on while waiting for TI and Worlds on breaks though?Anything good on csgo scene?
There is not much to bet on CS:GO as well, Road to Rio will resume on Oct 31, so it is a long break as well. There are few matches here in there if you are up to it.

If you are into sports not just e-sports, then you can bet on NBA and NFL. NBA just started and there are good picks you can bet on. Plus, there are games every day, so you have plenty of matches you can bet on and watch.

I don't think that his youth is destined for regrets but I understand those words he has said because it's full of frustration for him. For the past TIs, he was close for being a champ together with Ame but it has never happened.

Now, on this TI, his team except xNova got the virus and they had hard time playing on the main stage and they're eliminated.

I can sense that he is full of frustration and as a pro player, they all want the best outcome but it can't happen to all of them. He'll retire as one of the best mid players.

It's just the worst time for him to retire. He did not even enjoy his last game in TI since they are isolated from their teammates. If it is not meant to be, it won't. They had a hot start, and it was all for nothing because of Covid. They could have easily made it to top 5 or 4 if not for the unfortunate events that transpired. Anyway, I wish him luck to his future endeavours not that he is retired in pro scene. He will still be remembered by the most avid fans of DOTA.

For today's bet, I am riding the winning streak of these two teams.

Even though Jazz is in a rebuilding process, they are actually off in a good start this season. They are currently on top of the standing with 3-0.

The Boston Celtics is on the roll as well. Even with their head coach out and only an interim coach is guiding them, they are still top of their conference with 3-0 as well.

I am hoping that these two teams will continue their winning streak.

I'm fancying a couple over and under bets, rather than the spread, I'm still getting used to new season, and players at different teams.

I am avoiding that as well for now because it is just the start of a new season. I am still studying how the teams are doing this year. I am sticking for ML in the meantime, even avoiding parlay bets. Once I get a good grip of how the teams play, then I might start betting on over and under and do parlay as well.

As a responsible gambler, I know we don't let gambling change our lifestyle. If today is your luckiest day ever in gambling,on your first game you won the sum of $50 000.
First, will you quit the game immediately and withdraw all your funds or will you play for awhile because you are excited.

Second, will you use this money to upgrade your lifestyle i.e living big and showing off, even relocating to a better environment and forget about your old friends in your former neighborhood ? Or will you just remain quiet, happy and living a your normal way of life but investing the money into something profitable without telling anyone ?

First, since I won on my first game I would likely play more and push my luck to the limit. We do not know if I can win more since I started very lucky. I might be able to extend my luck.  I will do this though with my limit at the back of my head. I will not spend more than I have alloted for that day. I will make sure that I conserve that first game pot so I can take it home even though I still gamble.

Second, though the money is big, it is not enough to sustain a more lucrative lifestyle for me. And sure not big enough for me to cut ties with my neighbors and friends in my neighborhood. I would rather spend it for something profitable in the future like purchasing investment or putting some into bitcoin and promising crypto. Of course that is after I have spent some to throw a party or two for my family and friends.

5 days is still long and I hope that the players would secure themselves to not be contacted with the virus. It's going to be a hard situation if from the top 4 and any of their players would have been affected by the virus. But, let's just hope that no one will have the covid 19 and things will go smoothly for this finals. We all want to see all of them healthy and will play altogether on the stage. Even if we're hoping to see the new champs, there could be some upset, Tundra is also a strong team.

That is the responsibility of the managers. They are there to make sure that their players will obey covid safety protocols to avoid contracting covid while in the tournament. Playing for TI is pressure enough, playing TI with covid is surely a lot more pressure. See the teams that got infected with covid, they could not perform well. RNG started TI strong and after they got Covid, they never won a single series. It would be a disaster if a team qualified for Finals but got covid. The managers are surely working double time to remind their team to keep safe and follow protocols.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 24, 2022, 04:51:43 AM
Now they tied with the Philly that has 0-3. The teams that we are expecting to be at the top are now the teams that are at the bottom and still no wins and on the other hand, the teams that we aren't expecting to be on the top are the ones that are the top right now. Talking about Portland and the Utah Jazz.

I never had any expectations for the Lakers since the get-go of this season. Their organization right now is in disarray and seems that they do not know what to do with their rosters. They acquired a lot of guards during the offseason but failed to trade Westbrook. Now they are full of guards that can't shoot. Then Lebron has to play point to because he has to chase those stats. Rob Pelinka has a lot to do but nothing seems to get done. It is still early in the season but unless they make a massive change in their roster, it will be a repeat of last season.

Forget about making shots or his shooting percentage. He's suppose to play smart as a point guard but look at how he didn't run the clock in the final seconds of the game while they are leading by 1 point.

24 seconds shot clock but he took a jumper with 18 seconds left. There was nobody positioned to take an offensive rebound.

It's not only a bad shooting night for him. It's also bad decision making.

And he will be crucified on social media because of that. But that is how all superstars are, they take shots even when they had a bad night. It is good that he is still confident to take shots but too bad it is a bad choice.

Two teams from the last chance qualifiers are still in for the last batch of games for Dota 2, The International. We're now down to the top 4 teams and the two teams that I'm saying are Team Liquid and Team Secret.

I'd totally love the grandfinals to be between Team Liquid and Team Secret. Both Matu and Puppey deserve to lift the Aegis for the 2nd time though. Matu has already announced that this is his final year for competitive dota scene and this could be Puppey's last year as well considering that he has appeared in every TI, massive achievement and so far he is the only one

So 5 days break on TI, guess we'll shift focus to Worlds instead huh

I too love to see the Last Chance Qualifiers take the Final Stage of TI 2022. It will be a good send-off to Matu. He is already a Hall of Famer and would likely be missed by Dota fans. I wanted to see him one last time on the Finals stage and go toe-to-toe with whoever they are against. I would love to see the same kind of game they played against Thunder Awaken. That would be an epic way to close TI.

I do not know if Puppey will retire but he did not make any announcement yet. And the way team secret is doing right now, if they don't bag it this year, he may come back again next year.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: DOTA2 TI 2022 - Choose your Champion Team on: October 24, 2022, 03:51:01 AM
1st 🥇: Team Liquid
2nd 🥈: Secret
3rd 🥉: Tundra
4th 🏅: Aster

It is just pure resilience from Team Liquid that will catapult them to the finals and eventually the Aegis. I like the Cinderella story of Team Liquid. Qualifying late to TI because they have to go through Regional and then Last Chance qualifier. Now they are top 4 of the tournament.

We have seen how resilient they are and how they wanted to win this TI. Even when they are down in net worth and the Ancient is exposed, time and time again, they find a way to defend their Ancient, make a comeback and win the game. That kind of resilience is what makes a champion. It is maybe their experience, their leadership, or just their keen desire to give Matu an epic retirement, but it is totally working for them.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 23, 2022, 04:04:00 PM
Did not watch that many games on this tournament but this one was by far the best so far that I watched. It sort feels fair that each team won one of those close long maps with Ancient rush. I am also sure TA does not agree with this statement, they looked gutted when match finished.

Liquid is just pushing as far as possible so that Matumbaman can't retire, they wanna milk him as much as possible Smiley

I’m not updated on Agent M retirement plan but is he staying if they did manage to be a champion on this TI? I really think they can manage to beat anyone on the top 4 remaining teams since they have the momentum. I believe they can do a revenge match against Aster and beat Tundra on lower bracket finals just to sweep Secret on the grand finals.  Cheesy

This is what I’m thinking for the possible outcome because Team Liquid is really on fire now since all them is doing there part during crucial time.

I read that he is happy retiring no matter what the result in TI is, so I think he is serious about retiring. It would be a great send-off if they would be able to win the TI. And it is a great journey as well. Coming from the Last Chance Qualifier and ending in the top 4 of TI is already a great achievement. Considering a few weeks ago they are not even qualified for TI yet and have to battle it out in LCQ. If they win this, it will be epic.

It would be nice if the two LCQ qualifiers meet in the Finals. Team Secret is quite strong right now and they are quite a favorite against Tundra. So, they may be the first to take the Finals. Team Liquid will have a harder path through but still doable. After their epic performance today, I am sure they will be hyped facing Aster on their next series. And that momentum may pushed them to take the Finals slot.

Yeap , this was the best so far at TI and man , I've lost my voice in 1st and 3rd game with those massive comebacks  Shocked. With Liquid moving on facing Aster , we are having a retiring game right here with both Matu and Monet announcing their retirement so I'm expecting a huge game from both teams with Liquid having the upper hand and most likely will move to face either Secret or Tundra.

With 4 teams being known now, who do you guys favor in taking it all ? I do stick with Secret until the end. Grin

I will stick with Team Secret as well. They have never faltered yet. If they take down Tundra, they will be well rested going to the finals. Those coming from the lower bracket will have a harder time because they would go to the finals tired from the previous series.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 23, 2022, 02:05:05 PM
What a first game between Liquid and Thunder Awaken, still not over with lead switching all the time. Liquid closer to taking it at the moment and they looked already beaten in first 20 minutes. Then again later on TA tried to end the game early before taking all outer defenses and Liquid just managed to defend it.

I need Liquid win for my ticket so I am hoping this will be enough for them to take it.

Aster kicking PSG out of the tournament much easier than I anticipated. I had Aster +1.5 but never thought it will be that easy.

It feels like I am watching the Finals of TI 11 already in this series. Up to the last minute, you will never know who will win in this series. Thunder Awaken in game 1 pushed through the tier 4 tower and the Ancient is exposed but Team Liquid did the impossible and pushed back. They even made a comeback, took the lead and was so near to finish the game in their favor but then again Thunder Awaken caught them off guard and wiped them without buy backs. And since the ancient was exposed earlier, it was free for the taking.

The same happened in Game 3. Team Liquid got the early lead with Lesh snowballing. But Thunder Awaken turned everything around and was able to take two lanes of barracks. They got the rosh, refresher on Enigma who has BKB. Meaning double BKB and Blackhole. And in unexpected turn of events, I do not know if it by luck of Liquid or a curse to South American teams, but those two blackhole was rendered useless when both blackholes were stopped by bashes. It should have been a clear wipeout if those blackholes were not interrupted. But it was and that was what Team Liquid needed to turn thing around and win the game. I was just watching but I am exhausted with how the lead turns back and forth and how many times Liquid defended their Ancient.

If that series was the Finals, I am fully satisfied. But it is not so I am expecting more from this tournament.

The LA Clippers depended on Paul George to deliver with their other two big guys absence, and he literally carried them very well tonight demanded of him but for due credits, Sacramento  Kings actually gave Clippers a run for their money.
Paul George did it all. He is a monster.  Cheesy

Everything was easy for PG, let us not forget that, even PG can carry the team to win, the other 2 superstars are not even playing, how much more if they played. Clippers has a huge chance of becoming a champion this season, they just need to protect Leonard as he is the key.

Clippers are a playoff team even before Kawhi and PG joined them. They were always a Championship contender since these 2 stars joined but mishap after mishaps cost them even the WCF. Now they have Wall in their lineup and Ty Lue as a coach. If they can keep this core stars healthy, they are again a heavy contender for the Championship. It is early but I am quite inclined to believe that it will be GSW vs Clippers for WCF.

I have a very attractive bet tomorrow.
LA Lakers is only -3.5 against the Blazers, they are on a two losing streak, I'm sure they'll play harder in order to win.
So what you do you think about this betting spread? Should I be confident on betting on the LA Lakers, or will just stay away from this game?

Also, we have Jazz +7.5 against Pelicans, I'm thinking of betting Jazz ML.  Smiley

Lakers against a good shooting team? Hmmm that is a risky bet. Lakers is a poor shooting team. They can defend but if Damian gets hot, he can torch the Lakers alone.

That Jazz +7.5 is attractive. Pelicans is hot right now with Zion still healthy but a rebuilding Jazz is also unpredictable. That makes them dangerous. Both of these teams are young so that +7.5 is pretty good bet.

1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 23, 2022, 01:24:54 PM
Ginebra is currently 4.95 ML. I guess there's no chance they will win against the Magnolia, seems like Magnolia is really a legit team and they will continue winning. I bet on Ginebra -1.5 before the game, now I'm hoping miracle will happen but I'm not adding my bet anymore.

If you believe in Ginebra, you could have won that 4.95 ML bet, haha.. But anyway, congrats to you because you still won your bet, they had a big run in the 4th and that's enough for them to win, their defense was really the key to this win, hopefully they'll have that kind of consistency.

Magnolia looks like they are exhausted with the defense Ginebra is imposing on them. Their shots look like it is forced which is why none is going in in the final two minutes of the game. Ginebra took advantage of it and won the game.

Congratulations to those who believe in Ginebra. They do get better against stronger teams.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 23, 2022, 08:50:39 AM
Nikola Jokic just tied Wilt Chamberlain in career triple-doubles.

I think this will be the guy who will also break Oscar Robertson and maybe even Russell Westbrook if he keeps up this kind of performance.
There's no doubt, his basketball IQ is unique. It's rare to find a center who can pass, score, and be the playmaker of the team.
Denver Nuggets will definitely keep him for a long time and just surround him with good players in the next seasons to come.

He is just 27 right now, unless he gets injured that will heavily affect his game, I think he will break that record. We will see how far his duo with Jammal Murray will take them. I hope they won't end up like Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert that got disbanded without anything to show off. We saw last year that even without Jammal, Jokic was still able to carry the team into playoffs. Jammal now just has to get back his rhythm and chemistry with the team and they can shoot for at least WCF. I know they can because they have enough experience to at least get that far.

Zion is obviously one of the most significant players on the team. But success is not going to be a one-man show. The team will have to play as a team, to be successful. While we are concentrating on Zion some of the other players are silently contributing to the team and those contributions are very meaningful.

We know they can play as a team as they have shown that last year in the playoffs. They were able to take the Suns to game 6 even though they do not have Zion on their lineup. We are so hyped about Zion because the team has been waiting for him to play a full season. I think they are hoping that Zion is the one man that can complete the team and will take them to a higher finish. They already built a good young roster. They already acquired a veteran that can guide them through CJ. All they need now is that their main man to be there, healthy and strong.

Just a question, why is beastcoast not in the stage? On c_smile is on stage. Funny comment from caster while on game, "C smile is all alone. Alone on the stage and in the game."

I think Beastcoast members except for C_smile were having symptoms of covid, hence why he's with teddy bears and stuff on the TI stage, same scenario with RNG.

I suspected that much but I just want to confirm it here. Is Covid protocol over there too lux that a few players are getting covid? It is hard to win if you are far apart from your team.

This TI, outplaying is not enough. It's the draft that matters. Lots of times Beastcoast managed to outplay LGD and clean them out on teamfights but Ame still managed to get the best of Bc because they lack the physical defense (Halberd, AC, Shiva) against a Sven that is basically 7-slotted even though they are ahead of the game.

Once Sven got his timing, he is basically one stun one hitting most of the beastcoast heroes. They are just paper to Sven. MOst of the time, the one that got a better draft win. I think I am yet to see a countered draft and win.

Team Liquid sent home OG on their series. They won convincingly on both maps, 2-0. It is a sweep this time. Team Liquid is not letting Matu retire yet and they are squishing every DOTA game they can get for Matu. They will have their next series against Thunder Awaken in about 3 hours. They secured top 6 and will now fight for the top 4.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ️ Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 23, 2022, 05:42:26 AM
PSG.LGD and Beastcoast right now. Currently 1-1 and game 3 is a nail biter. Beastcoast showing that they can go toe to toe against what the world considers as number 1 team right now. The Elder Titan pick somewhat disrupted LGD's draft, because I think they intended that Sven to just go shard and hide behind Lesh or another carry. They are forced to give the Sven to Ame against a Batrider and it's not pretty to look at. Good thing is, they are still somewhat able to salvage lots of team fights that should have been one-sided in favor of Beastcoast.

My +1.5 Beastcoast pick for today is looking great. 2.63 odds is not too shabby!

EDIT: Oh well, after I submitted this post, Ame just cleaned 3 cores from BC. Way to jinx my own predictions Grin

It is already a win on your bet since it is +1.5. Beastcoast just need a win in order for you to win. Congrats.

Game 3 was thrilling. There is no big advantage in net worth on both sides until the wipeout from PSG.LGD happened. LGD never looked back since then and just continued the pressure on BC. They were very disciplined and even when they had the chance to push the ancient, they decided to push to instead and secure Mega creeps. They did not give beast coast a chance for a comeback. PSG.LGD secured the top 6. They will face Team Aster later after the OG vs Team Liquid series.

Just a question, why is beastcoast not in the stage? On c_smile is on stage. Funny comment from caster while on game, "C smile is all alone. Alone on the stage and in the game."

Next game OG vs Team Liquid. This will be another epic series.
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 23, 2022, 04:46:23 AM
I’m a little surprised that the 76ers are starting out the season 0-3. Meanwhile the Bucks and Celtics are both undefeated. It’s still early but the Sixers have got to be starting to feel like the Harden move was a bit of a mistake.

Looks like no more nationally televised games until Tuesday when we’ll get to see Zion Williamson and Steph Curry (in different games) back in action on TNT’s doubleheader.

It must have been devastating to lose to a rebuilding team. I do not know what is wrong with the Sixers, but they have no business losing to Spurs. They are a complete team and in paper they should be good for a ECF or even a finals appearance. Doc Rivers should take a good look at their team and pinpoint what they need to do in order to win. They already have a good roster. I think the fault now lies with the coach.

Yes, but how long his athleticism will take him? 5 more years or less? Lets take for example, DRose, damn, during his prime he was a complete player, has outside shooting, can take the game into his hands, and just like Morant can drive to the basket and jump over tall players. But when he got injured, it was over for him. He was able to come back and play, but that jumping ability is no longer there but at least he has developed his outside shooting when he was given back the chance to play in the NBA and still playing up to this day.

Maybe but training today is different than a decade ago. Now it is more advance that you can actually focus your training so that it can prevent injuries like that. A therapist can focus on what muscles to train so that ankles and knees are better protected. Just like how Curry and his therapist focus their training on his hips so he will be less prone to ankle injuries. As long as Ja trained his body right, he can continue to be athletic like that and avoid major or career threatening injuries.
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 22, 2022, 11:13:46 PM
My pick for tonight.

Sacramento Kings vs Los Angeles Clippers(-0,5) = First Quarter 1,85 odds

Kawhi Leonard and John Wall will rest tonight.
I will take risks for this game.

Good luck.

This is still a good bet considering LA Clippers is very stacked right now. They still have Paul George, Zubac, and Jackson to carry the team in absence of these two superstars. They carried the team to playoffs last season so they can pretty much give Sacramento Kings a good fight.

My bets for later are

Chicago Bulls vs Cleveland Cavaliers

I am taking Chicago here @ 2.04 odds. I just can't resist a good odd. I know the bulls can beat the cavs even though the bookies are saying the cavs are favorite in this game.
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 22, 2022, 10:55:48 PM
Later this day, it will be a very hard match between Team Liquid and OG. Up until now I cannot gauge who of these two will remain victorious in the end. Liquid literally trashed OG back in the group stages, but OG somewhat bared their fangs against Team Liquid however it isn't sharp enough to do much damage against the said team. Liquid's play is still as composed and as organized as possible whereas OG relies on the explosiveness of bzm or Yuragi in the early game in order to make the mid game be in their favor.

OG +1.5 will be my pick, although I'm also inclined to get Liquid +1.5 since the latter is a more viable option than the former based on recent results. I might watch it live and take other lines but for now, I'm inclined to take OG just for YOLO.

I say the match between OG and Liquid is a toss-up and either team can win this. I like to bet on OG on this one but if I am going to play it safe, I go with over 2.5 maps. I am sure this match will go the distance since no one from this team wants to go home early especially Liquid since it is Matu's last TI. They would want to go as far as possible for Matu.

On the side of PSG.LGD vs Beastcoast, the logical choice is to get PSG.LGD as the series winner however Beastcoast is showing a lot of crazy dota recently that it's hard to just ignore what they can do. I'll probably just place a bet on Beastcoast to win the series with small amount. Getting some out-of-the-box picks sure seemed to be the theme of TI11.

I would still go for PSG.LGD experience though. It is already time-tested though they had a tough time lately. They started weak in the group stage and lost their first match in Main Event. But they always bounce back. It is just BO3 so I am not afraid that LGD will win this one. Anyway, on the off chance that BC wins, your small bet will still win since it will be x4.

Team Secret and Tundra just need a win to get into the Finals. Team Secret against Tundra will be an epic match but we still have to wait a week before we see them play.

Tundra's drafts are more on the comfort lane style compared to Secret's counter the enemy style. Both are extremely great in reading the map and making plays, and I think it's the draft that will matter on their fight next week. I'll go all in for Secret here given that Puppey has the experience and the brains to get the better drafts against Tundra.

If it is counterplay, then it will be in favor of Team Secret. They have Puppey who is a genius in drafting plus they have at least 6 days of rest and time to study all the possible picks of Tundra. Well, everything starts with a good draft, and sometimes you can win with just a perfect draft alone. And Puppey will surely take advantage of his superiority over Tundra.

Last 4 games for tomorrow before we have a break for close to a week (?) Idk if this is correct but whats with the 1 week break though

I was actually surprised too to see that it will have a 6-day break before proceeding to the Finals. I am aware that the playoffs and finals will take place in a different location, but I am not aware if the schedule was changed or not. Maybe somebody here will enlighten us about this one because the break is very anti-climactic.

Hopefully they will have an enclosed booth for the Players in Singapore Indoor Stadium so the issues in SunTec about the casters being heard by the players will be eliminated.

If you are a gambler, then you might go with the Ginebra, but I believe in momentums and I might try and place a bet on Magnolia later Cheesy. Will watch on this game tomorrow.

Ginebra has 1.77 odds while Magnolia has 1.95. I do not know why Ginebra is favored to win here but in my opinion, Magnolia has better chance of winning. Magnolia's local players performance is stunning at this conference. They are performing very well, and they complement their import. Even though Ginebra bounce back every time they lose, I'll take my chances with magnolia since they have better odds. This match is a toss-up anyway, so I go where pay is better when I win.

1299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 22, 2022, 06:26:15 PM
On the Upper Bracket match. Secret has the gold and kill advantage but still Thunder Awaken pos1 is Slark and 2nd on the net worth. There’s still a possibility for a comeback if they give an opening. BTW I have +1 on TA here so I’m shaking rn.  Grin
Team Secret did not give them a chance to recover. They keep on pressuring them until they collapsed. Even when Slark was on top of the net worth, there is nothing he can do because Team Secret is already in the roll and snowballing.

Tundra also showed their prowess against Team Aster as they demolished them in a sweeping fashion. The top bracket is still keeping the sweep in their matches. From the first day of the main event until now, nothing but sweeps.

Team Secret and Tundra just need a win to get into the Finals. Team Secret against Tundra will be an epic match but we still have to wait a week before we see them play.

I would probably just pay the $500 rather than go through all that trouble going to trial and paying $50K. that is just me because I do not care what other thinks as long as I know that I did not cheat. I do not need to prove myself to anyone.

But I guess it is different for Stu since he has a reputation to uphold, and it seems to me that gambling is his source of income. If he gets banned because he is accused of cheating, it will have a large effect on his life. And I think he has the money to pay for the trial and everything.
