2282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Licenses and Casino reputation on: December 26, 2022, 08:09:01 PM
I have not seen or heard about any individual complaint that has been resolved by the intervention of the license authorities. I even doubt if they get involved in those issues. I once saw the curacao license disabled on the Stake.com site, when they ran a weekly lottery.... but Stake took them on and explained that it was not a Lottery... where people bought tickets, but rather a Giveaway...where people earned tickets.

The Stake license was enabled again... and Stake.com grew to one of the biggest Online casinos on the Internet. So good luck, if you have individual problems with a casino.  Roll Eyes
The same thing, I haven't saw it. It's because if there's a problem from an specific casino, they have to resolve it as quick as they can. Even if it goes to the authorities where they've taken the license, it's very minimal that they'll also step in just to solve that problem from a complainant.
It's better to have it insured that you're just gambling somewhere you fully trust and you have to make it to yourself that they're trustworthy and running legally with some papers provided on it if ever you're too sensitive with such requirements.
2283  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: December 26, 2022, 11:22:12 AM
I'll do both things too, just to have that security of income being employed while doing any passion around businesses that I might get into venured with.
So, if a business I try to establish fails, that's okay because I'm still employed and will just continue to keep working on it. I've known people that also did both things but when their business succeeded, they've left the corporate world and focused on it and that's what everyone might do when their established business is already stable.
Not a bad idea to start a business while you are still employed. Securing your finances while venturing into your business will help you to explore more. I mean, with your salary, you can sustain your needs while trying to succeed with your business.

There are people who manage to succeed with their own small businesses while still in a corporate
job, making sure that they are secured with all those expenses that needed to be covered while
trying to find the right ideas to establish their business.
That's how it should be because you just can't leave your employment if you're just starting out a business. You'll have hard time adjusting when you're trying to pursue your dream of having a business but you're still employed. It's true when you're having a business, you'll not hit success as early as you can so, there's a need to sustain it through other means like from your salary. That's how a business goes and you may try it until you succeed or if you want to quit already and focus on employment instead.
2284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you intend to tell loved ones about the bear market? on: December 26, 2022, 10:08:10 AM
Luckily, no one has ever asked me about the situation of the crypto market. But if ever someone asks me about it, I'll tell the whole thing and what it looks like and will say that those events really happens on this market and not only in crypto but also elsewhere in other markets.
There will be the booming side of it but there will also be the bad side of it. And if they will ask me if they want to invest, I'd say if they want to and won't have words of encouragement to them but I'll tell them that no matter what happens to the market, I'll stay and keep invested on it.
2285  Other / Off-topic / Re: My story and where it is now..... on: December 26, 2022, 07:25:08 AM
I feel emotional while reading your story. You're an amazing but behind that amazingness as what we'd known you through the forum, just as you've said we all have our own battles. I'm praying for your recovery and the upcoming surgery that everything's going to be fine. I know how it feels because my daughter was also diagnosed but with a different disease early 2nd quarter of this year but she's now in good condition and healthy again, thank God. I hate to see it on how the hospital, staff and nurses had treated me and my daughter as if we're not worth of their time so, I do really understand how it feels when you've told the first part of your story regards on how these medical staff treats their patient.
Always take some fresh air and don't worry that much yahoo, I know that your situation now is tough but being worry free will give you some nice energy and it's good for you to avoid thinking a lot and stress.
2286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If your friend would tell you this... on: December 25, 2022, 11:41:28 PM
I might go with it but through sports betting and before any bet I make, I'll make sure that I've gathered information and did my research before placing huge bets on it.
I think the odds for me to win with huge amounts on it is really big and that's what I'm going to do if ever a friend of mine would have a deal like that of course signing of papers that if it's entirely gone, no twists, no plots just money gone.
2287  Economy / Economics / Re: The poor people with their reasoning on: December 25, 2022, 10:43:07 PM
No matter how hard you try, poor people can be difficult to persuade to accept and invest in bitcoin, according to my crypto knowledge and people's enlightenment. They vehemently criticize whatever you show them or introduce them to. They are the ones who constantly inquire about how you manage your funds in order to live during this economic downturn.

Quote
The worst people to serve are the Poor people. Give them free, they think it's a trap. Tell them it's a small investment, they'll say can't earn much. Tell them to come in big, they'll say no money. Tell them try new things, they'll say no experience. Tell them it's traditional business, they'll say hard to do. Tell them it's a new business model, they'll say it's MLM. Tell them to run a shop, they'll say no freedom. Tell them run new business, they'll say no expertise.

They do have some things in common:

listen to friends who are as hopeless as them, they think more than a university professor and do less than a blind man.
How can we persuade the poor that without making investments and taking risks, they would not succeed in life? If they are looking for a financial breakthrough, they need become involved with anything because good things in life don't just fall into their laps. Life is about taking chances and seizing any opportunity that presents itself.
I've been poor with the past years of my life and I know how it feels to be there. I'm not saying that I'm rich but I've got a better life at least for now and quite far from being poor. It's a tough situation and very thoughtless to say that they're not thinking about to invest.
How much is their daily wage and how much it will go to their expenses and bills? Yes, we're motivating them but this is a tough way, I don't think this is tough love but weighing things and what we'll say should really be considered.
2288  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: December 25, 2022, 09:26:04 PM
It is always good to be a business owner because it doesn't have any limitation on income but I do not mind going through employment and being an employee if it will strengthen my knowledge in the field of business I am about to venture.  Having knowledge about the business is one of the best things to have when we planned to be a business owner.  It is also a crucial factor of success in establishing a business and the major reason why many businesses failed is that the owner lacks experience in that field.
2289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free crypto possible ? Or impossible? on: December 25, 2022, 08:13:31 PM
Just as what you think about the faucets, obtaining free crypto through airdrops could also be a waste of time based on what you'll think of it after the results.
You can still have free crypto with legitimate ones if you do something, an effort is really needed to do because you just can't get free money without doing so much from it.
One of it is through referrals or affiliate marketing, whether it's from exchanges, casinos or any other service where you can affiliate, that's free crypto with some effort on it.
2290  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance US buys Voyager Digital assets for $1.02 billion on: December 24, 2022, 06:43:06 PM
I know that CZ is investing in ventures and it keeps on going but what he's trying to prove? I doubt it that he just want to save the company and the people who has still some pending money there. Maybe he sees something that we can't see?
But we're all sure that we see the same thing that Voyager is already on the grave and it will barely stand up and even with his help, he's just throwing money there and good for the people if they'll still take their money out after the acquisition.

CZ is not trying to prove anything, I reckon. This is a business decision and his team might have made an assessment that there is value in absorbing Voyager clients and bring them to their own platform, binance.us. There might also be other things that might give Binance an advantage like old licenses that can be renewed, skilled employees necessary for Binance's expansion or some cryptocoin assets still being held by the company.
Hm, I understand. As I know, it still got assets and that might be just one of the reasons of the acquisition but there's still more value that Binance itself can take advantage by having Voyager on their board.

I know that CZ is investing in ventures and it keeps on going but what he's trying to prove? I doubt it that he just want to save the company and the people who has still some pending money there. Maybe he sees something that we can't see?
My thoughts exactly, there is certainly more to his than meets the eye and CZ knows something because no one plays Santa on a sinking boat sunk boat !!
I think I understand it now but yeah, this is a corporation decision and they're in agreement that there's something that we can't see but only them.
Anyway, just hoping that they're not the next company to bite the dust although it is unlikely.
2291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good plan at all? on: December 24, 2022, 05:41:19 PM
Look at TOS or rules and agreement as you sign up to any casino. Check out that part if they've got something to tell about usage of VPN or any type of service because they'll surely detect you using one. But if it's based on my experience, I've done that to several casinos and they never hit me with a warning so I think that's fair enough and that's not a big issue to them unless there's some uncaught activities you do in your account that results to them losing money.
This is where people should really be focused on, on which they should really be checking out those terms and conditions before using up a VPN and just said that there are lots of withdrawals or locked up
funds due to this issue, if the house do finds out that you had bypassed or violate their terms then it would really be just normal that they would really be taking such step for you to be penalized.
Therefore. if you dont like to have some headaches then it would be ideal or better on checking out everything, if you cant see it on their tos then you could always ask their live
chat or support to clear up everything or doubts you do have.
It's a long written words that we mostly agree and don't read it. Sometimes, we're just agreeing to whatever is written there and we don't want to read the entire thing.
There could be some rules about VPNs there and there could be none. So, if found that there's no rule about it on it, the best thing to approach and contact is the support itself just to make things plain.

2295  Economy / Economics / Re: Car repossessions are on the rise in warning sign for the economy on: December 23, 2022, 09:29:04 PM
While many contractual loans are failing at historically high rates. Could there be an eventual upside in terms of car and real estate assets becoming more affordable within the foreseeable future?
I hope that we come back to that point. There's a domino impact to everything when even these two have started to fall and they become more affordable. While car depreciates, I'm more interested to the real estate part.
But to see that there are more car repossessions and people can no longer pay the mortgage that has been assigned to them upon availing those cars. If too much cars are in there, there's for sure the increase in supply and there's no way to go but to decrease the demand of it which will result in falling prices and making it more affordable.
2296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions, predictions, predictions... on: December 23, 2022, 08:33:41 PM
While it has come to pass that the support that most think was $18k before, it has been broken and we're not at $16800. The chance that it may go lower is very much high.
And that's why all predictions of the possible lower support is very likely, we don't know how low it may get. But, if this current stability that we're seeing to bitcoin, it could lead to the chance of dropping as this has happened before. Like they say, this volatility might suffice the craving of those investors waiting for the lowest.
2297  Other / Off-topic / Re: Be The Judge... on: December 22, 2022, 07:27:59 PM
It's unclear to me as how it went down to owing the owner with $5 if he didn't gambled with all of his winnings. Maybe the owner tried to cheat and that's why it ended up with that calculation. But if the owner has just enough cash, there will be no problem on it and the violence won't occur because the guy will just gamble and pay again no matter how many times he will bet again on that lottery shop. Well, both are at fault when they have resulted into violence wherein fact that they can just have a peaceful talk.
2298  Economy / Economics / Re: What was the dumbest thing FTX spent money on… on: December 22, 2022, 05:18:36 PM
When they're on the verge of dropping and then planned to acquire a bankrupt company, Voyager. I guess that's the dumbest plan that they ever had.

liquidators dont mind buying dying companies
its called "asset raiding"

the goal is this:
find a company that has coins/assets but they separately have fiat debt that out paces the assets. where by they cannot cover the debt

EG $500m good assets. $1bill fiat debt = minus $500m(unrecoverable debt)

a liquidator will take on the business. take out the good assets. leaving the dying brand with even larger debt ($500m unrecoverable->$1b unrecoverable)
also pass on the liquidators own bad debt into the dying company.. to clean out the main companies own obligations

and as a final stage.. just let the dying brand die in bankruptcy blackhole

issue is SBF didnt finalise the last stage in the dying businesses he did previously buy
So, they buy it because still there are good assets that are found within the company. But, that also means that they're going to accept the burden and responsibility of that dying company for those customer that are hopeful within it.
Otherwise, they will really just let the company die after obtaining the good assets and leaving it together with those poor customers that have already accepted its fate. Well, it seems that there's still a lot for me to learn about acquisitions like this.
2299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Throwback: Bitcoin was $64k today, a year ago. on: December 22, 2022, 12:27:52 PM
These incidents paved path for more common people to get into the market. Same didn't last for longer time period and we can't be sure of the Market to be bullish forever. The real growth is happening, and we're experiencing the bear market for now. The transition from the bear market will happen at the earliest.
The market is impossible to be bullish forever and that's why whenever we enter to a bull run, it's anticipated that you should start to take your profits and then stack it up first. So, you'll have the cash or stable coin prepared whenever the end of it has come. And when you've seen the price drops, that's when you should start buying then and wait until it goes on high again.

Bitcoin stood above 50000 exactly a year ago but this year Bitcoin has lost 62% of minus and currently stands at $16700. In fact, such a bloody year for Bitcoin happened once before in 2018. Bitcoin crashed 62% in 2022, marking the second biggest bloody year of all time. However, many expert investors and experts have expressed different views on the future of Bitcoin. They believe the Bitcoin market will exceed $100k in the middle of February and March 2024, centered around the Bitcoin Halving. However, there is no clear consensus on how the Bitcoin market will fare next year, i.e. 2023. However, Mark Mobius has sent a bearish comment saying that the Bitcoin market will fall below $10,000 in 2023. This is undoubtedly a scary theory for Bitcoin.
Yes, many are believing that bitcoin will certainly pass $100k mark soon. It may not be as immediate as we have thought last year but it will definitely going to hit it soon once the bull is back. Whoever is saying that next year is still a bear market, respect to them, any opinion that thinks it's going to be high or low. One thing we're sure about, this bear isn't going to last forever and as we're in cycle, this is about to end maybe or maybe not by next year but sure, it will come to an end.

Hard to believe we're 14 months from the high already.  I must admit that this drop didn't hurt as bad as prior ones in previous cycles.  Hopefully things repeat and we start moving up from here to the good times once again.  With a recession closing in, rates increasing, and overall chaos in the government, it seems like maybe it will be different this time?  I'm not betting on it, but I sure hope we don't see a massive recession that brings an end to crypto.  I have a feeling if we do see a bad recession, it will be the biggest test yet that Bitcoin has faced.
Yeah, it didn't hurt that much because things likely happened so fast. And the low from this bear market was the highest on 2017 before the more bloody bear of 2018. All those folks that have been through those bears and bulls understand that this isn't really a lot for a bear market.
But with comparison to the percentage and lost since the last bull market, we can have those numbers to be that much.

The good old days of BTC, but unfortunately we can't live in the past as bitcoin over the months has taken several steps back to where it all began. Coming to think of it, we all know this isn't unusual for bitcoin to pull such  moves...it's all cyclical and part of the big move yet to happen, let's hold on a little longer.. maybe stay away from the charts for the time being while Operation $70K is in process.
Those that can't take away and still can't move on, they have to move themselves away from the market. Aside from not looking to the charts, they should make themselves busy with other things so they can forget what's up with the market and how low it has been since then.
