2281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 17, 2023, 02:41:08 PM
I haven't gone through with most details yet but I am happy to see that Donaire is going to have a championship match again. This is what he really needs to do before the possible retirement that he might announce just after the match.

I third the motion.  Cheesy Let's make a poll.
I am sure that the votes will most likely for Donaire. Looking at the stats of Santiago, he may not that be an easy opponent. I'll find and watch some videos of his matches.
A win before he retires is a good one, this can be a big match for him and its good to see him back and have the chance to get a championship title.
Santiago is also a good boxer and a younger one compare to Donaire but I think age will not be an issue here, they almost have the same record thought Donaire lose more but the win is pretty impressive. A big match for Santiago but I think, with the best experience Donaire will win on this one.
Stats would go for donaire for sure. Regarding last match before retirement, I think it would be better if he'd have more. Still a young career I guess. It is just that he somehow chilled down not as hot as he was before. Batlle against age? Well pacquiao still has it so he might as well do so even if they are two different fighters. But going back, Santiago won't let this slide that easy. Indeed this would be a huge break for him to let go. For sure he's training hard as well. Which gave me the idea that this would be a battle of drive and hunger; to be back on track or to create a new one. Odds are not as clear with other matches but would probably still go for Nonito.
2282  Economy / Economics / Re: Cheap food: can you beat this price in your country? on: February 16, 2023, 10:58:19 PM
It depends on the resources when it comes to the price of food; matter of demand and supply. If you are living in an agricultural country or area wherein ingredients are just there to be picked up, then expect for a lower food expense. But once import and export are involved, then for sure it would reflect to the price; making it more expensive. Same thing applies with restaurants in city wherein they'd be needing to compensate for the importation of goods from different areas plus their costing of the restaurant itself, which would add to the raw market value of the meal. In my country, a complete set meal of rice, side dish, and main dish would cost around 1.5$ because of inflation and monopoly with raw materials.
2283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Awareness needed, 100$ or Bitcoin??? on: February 16, 2023, 10:31:45 PM
Depends on the situation; if you are in a country wherein this technology is prohibited and it would take time for you to be able to make use of Bitcoin, then a hundred bucks would be a better deal, otherwise Bitcoin would obviously be a greater option simply because its market price has a tendency to increase and if it is 1 Bitcoin, definitely it has a higher market value. A simple question indeed not until you dig down the situation. But as with the cited situation; kids were aske; how come they would know the price of something they are not aware of? Ofcourse they'd go with what's obvious. We all have done that when we're young.
2284  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Looking for Investors for my Upcoming PvP crypto Casino on: February 16, 2023, 10:06:39 PM
Providing a link of the platform won't still be enough for meticulous investors. Other credibility would  be better such as projects you have handled 'coz even if you are a trusted person, if this is your first gambling platform to develop, then things would still be hard for you to convince people especially investors. It is money we are talking about and for sure they won't let go of their funds too easy. Overall sustainability and accessibility would be factors for them to look at for them to avoid worries of losing money eventually once things cannot be sustained in your platform  Therefore, introducing a platform should be more detailed and organized. This is likewise with job application; prove to them you deserve their trust.
2285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rejecting odd provider's limit on: February 16, 2023, 09:44:56 PM
No KYC is not a full guarantee to stay off the radar of account limitations, this is because casinos, both KYC and none KYC all have security teams that check the activities of players in their casinos, this is a standard practice to check abusers.
-And if a player is found to have abused and violated any of the casino's rules their accounts can still be limited and means of the investigation will be implemented, that is why the casino suddenly asks players for some form of verification at some point.
-The use of a VPN can give you access to restricted sites but does not secure the account from being limited at any point of account to violate any terms of service.
If anything the use of a VPN could be a flag for the casino that you may be trying to hide something by the use of it, and even if that is not the case and you only care about obtaining some privacy, if your activity is slightly suspicious to them then you could face a KYC request much earlier than what it may have happened if you just gambled at that casino with your regular IP, then it is key to simply gamble as we usually do and avoid trying to outsmart the casino, because most likely you will fail anyway.
Either you comply or leave;, these are a gambler's option if ever you are up against the gambling site's rules. I'd take freezing accounts, as cited by other users, as an example. Indeed the rootcause is suspiscion and lack of compliance with what they'd do to it, will result to freezing. But it will be lifted 'coz to most gambling sites, there is this thing called appeal through contact with the technical support. Explanation therefore would save the day. On the other hand,  I don't know of such rule wherein players are not allowed to register on multiple gambling sites and also, platforms are not linked with one another. But KYC is mostly done with transactions of either both withdrawal and deposit.. My point is to just comply as long as what they are asking is fair on your end.
2286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Digital Currencies Should Be Adopted Globally on: February 16, 2023, 02:56:51 PM
For sure it is wonderful to imagine that more people would be able to use this technology's advantages. But what's a bit worrying me lately is the extent of how Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are being used; as a profitable asset. What's more likely to happen if we would push adoption of this technology is regulation more likely. Governments would want to benefit on every transaction of its users and that is thru taxation. Also if this is the case, there is a tendency for the price to be less volatile simply because demand would be neutral as well because of the possible increase with fees and such which would persuade some investors to just use fiat based digital currency. If the price would be less volatile, will this industry still has a high demand from it afterwards?
2287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting fraud in Brazil 😦 on: February 16, 2023, 02:29:32 PM
Just makes me wonder though, we have seen some threads about fix match and rigged and they are posting it here, not sure if you guys have seen it. Anyhow, my point is that it could be true that this kind of fix matching has been ongoing for many years already and there could be some insiders who are familiar with it and sharing it here although I can't say that for a fact. And if this coaches and players are investigated and found to be guilty, then appropriate punishment should be dealt with this kind of individuals as it is a shame for the sports who love it.
Fixed matchws do really exist for so long; from small to big leagues and tournaments. Problem is finding a paying one because for sure exclusivity would lways be a factor. On my end, I have never tried to engage with such scheme simply because of the idea that they are cheating in a way, so how come they would be fair for their players? this is not to generalize. But not only in this crypto industry, as well to others. It would be better to go toe-to-toe with the risk involved in gambling since that's the concept in the first plce, than to find  way for assured profit which is simply not a thing common in gambling industry. Also, enjoyment would be lacking I agree.
2288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Doxxed team can help a new gambling platform? on: February 16, 2023, 02:07:17 PM
Hi friends, I am still on the matter of helping a friend who wants to build his own gambling project, the question of the day is about KYC verification, why are popular crypto gambling platforms are not KYC verified themselves? I mean the team behind the online casino why are they not KYC verified and they ask for KYC instead?

Wouldn't it be more fair if they want to stay behind the veil and not as users KYC verification? If they are scared of the law/regulations it makes sense the are verified too, doxxed or something .

Anyway fast forward to my second question, will a gambling platform be more attractive for users if the team are 100% doxxed?
Many casinos do not like to unviel the owner or team in charge of the casino to prevent scrutiny that could lead to more invesgation about the owner of the casino in case they had done something illegal at the past time. KYC is not a problem because many gamblers do not care about that.
We also want for the casino team to KYC themselves to prove that they are clean and free from illegalities in the past and it can give us an assurance that they will easily be traced by the authorities if ever they do something fishy.
If you ever own a casino, the biggest mistake I think you would make is to KYC yourself to the general public, I believe that casino owners always KYC themselves to the licensing authorities before they are given a license to operate , this should be enough already.
If a casino owner KYC themselves to the general public, they are simply putting their life, their business, their family at a very big risk, there are many angry losers out there willing and ready to do anything to have their money back, and you never can who is who, As a casino CEO, making your identify visible and such players getting hold of your identity and address could spell doom for you are your family.
Any casino CEO who dares put him or herself on public light in the name of kyc is doing that it at his or her own perils because that is not wisdom. Although they do get license which requires them doing a kyc with their license issuing organization  and that is enough for them to run their casino as long as they present their license number on their legal documents online their casino but should not be cajoled to make a public kyc otherwise what ever they see is their own cup of tea.
You can imagine being a debtor and hiding from being seen  than when you owe some debt and publicly showing yourself. Your paymasters would definitely come to demand their debt back from you. This is the situation of the comment you just made. In as much as kyc is concerned, it is not compulsory for everyone. If you do not want to kyc, look for other casino that does not kyc then get engaged with them. It is not a compulsory thing but it is necessary depending on the casino you get involved with.
Problem probably is misconception of KYC purpose. Reputable online casino teams' information are publicized and if not, on their license, on the usual which is to lessen the worry of their players. In my opinion, gambling platforms are requiring KYC procedures to avoid allowing anyone to withdraw one's fund. There are instances wherein devices and accounts are being accessed and one way to lomit such instances is for them to verify in every withdrawal. Another guess is to prevent underage players to ccess their platforms; we all know why. But I do get the point why there is a trust issue being emphasized in this procedure. Just keep in mind that if you're in the right casino, there's nothing much to be worried of.
2289  Economy / Speculation / Re: why Bitcoin Dumping ? on: February 15, 2023, 11:00:02 PM
Pumps and dumps are part of its nature of market price volatility and factors affecting this are actions of selling and buying which are determinants of its demand. For some reasons, we are seeing green marks filling the market at this moment so therefore, the demand is high and is affected by different reasons. Are we now seeing a bullmarket? Hard to conclude at this early. As far as I know, there ain't no strong support for the increase right now so corrections may still possibly occur. The price could still dump once majority of investors choose to chill down because of the idea that this is not a bull market yet. Not unless there would be a news to negatively affect the demand, which would make the possible dump bigger. That's just how this market works; revolves around demand.
2290  Economy / Economics / Re: To cut financial ties with original family benefits you in the long run on: February 15, 2023, 10:41:54 PM
Depends of toxicity exist. In some instances, financial ties is beneficial perhaps you are married and in times of emergency, there is a family to somehow give you assistance. But I do get the point of burden to some instances wherein there is an unwritten responsibility that you should do the other way around. On my end I just consider it as gratitude. Depends on your family culture as well. But as I've mentioned, it is an unrwitten responsibility so if time gets rough, you may only give an amount you just can afford and should not be forced to give more. This is applicable to both parties of child and parents. It is just dependency which makes a big deal out of this, wherein there should not be.
2291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choosing between your relationship and gambling. on: February 15, 2023, 10:15:05 PM
There should be a reason. If they have an agreement to share their funds with one another, such that both parties are doing the same thing, then adjustments should be made. Viewing on a positive persepective, the girl might be worried that your cousin might be too dragged in gambling as cited by OP. Indeed that was your cousin's money and he is taking good care of it, but atleast the girl has a point. Maybe she has some kind of trauma to her brother wherein gambling is a huge factor and she doesn't want her partner to end up on the same situation. But it would be a wrong idea to make breake up an option wherein they could have discussed it in a better way. Both has points but this is probably a misunderstanding.
2292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling problem on: February 15, 2023, 09:44:02 PM
Problem in gambling revolves around scam platforms and user negligent if I'm not mistaken. There are many gambling platforms which are endning up to be tagged as scam. However, delay of transactions should be discussed to the casino itself in order for them to address it properly. User negligent in gambling I guess, is where this community OP have mentioned, would help. Many gamblers are still not taking precautionary actions whenever they are playing which results to bigger bigger losses and regrets. At the end of the day, it is the player himself who would help oneself to overcome problems such as frustrative betting. The concept of gambling should be more emphasized to all of this industry's community.
2293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have always wanted to ask this about bitcoin on: February 15, 2023, 03:00:47 PM
Even at this point, few people only are using Bitcoin as a mode of payment and they are mostly using it for investment purposes. But eitherway is good as long as people are making use of the advantage of this technology. We cannot force people to spend their assets especially if they are more anticipating big returns during bullish market. So if ever the market price would be stable, I doubt that this industry would still be recieving huge amount of interest. More likely, big investors who are voiding taxes would be the ones to use this currency still and small investors might stay away or just ignore Bitcoin. It is a matter of weighing down which would be more preferred; profit or convenience.
2294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: February 15, 2023, 02:37:55 PM
And for reference, the current odds as per Stake:

So Franklin is 7:1 underdog, and I don't know if he can pull an upset here. This is a must win for Joshua if he still have this plan of an All-British showdown with Tyson Fury in the future. As he has said previously, his motivation is money so he must be motivated here so that he can book the biggest payday of his career before he retires. So I think the pressure is on Joshua's shoulder, but I think he can overcome Franklin with a big statement and morale booster win.

The same after looking at the global odds forecasts in the AJ 1.25 vs 6.3 crawl for Franklin and it looks like Joshua is serious about this fight as he has already stated that the preparation for the fight will be more serious than for the fight with Usyk. But why is he still considered the absolute favorite to win with Franklin, because he still lost the last two fights, and the last knockout he did was more than two years ago.
Battle of stamina I guess. Reach would be a big factor to not be tired quickly; we are talking about heavy weight class. Both are heavy punchers but that won't mean a thing if they wouldn't be able to throw a hundred percent of their strength. I'd I guess go for Franklin on this one. Indeed Joshua has more fights which means experience but I believe franklin would be more eager with this match up. This would be a big break for Franklin which I think would be his 'gas' to be victorious over joshua. Odds won't mean a thing once the bell ring. The outcome will solely depend on the player and his condition. Both are having serious preparations.
2295  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recommendations for Good Esports Betting Sites? on: February 15, 2023, 02:05:41 PM
Recently sports betting is now getting in a trend because of the people who would like to make a bet in the sports and e-sports competition, I've been into the Stake, Duelbits, Roobet, Sportsbet.io and all of them satisfied me regarding with the game play experience and it will depend now on your personal preferences, I guess you are gathering sooner or later to the gambling casino sportsbook added to the coinslotty and for sure we are looking forward with that integration.
Esports betting is long enough existing as far as I know from DoTA to other online games players are getting hooked into. Recently is valorant because of the popularity of the game itself. Thus, it won't be surprising to see that many online gambling platforms are adopting this trend to gather more players and to catch the interest of potential players. Unfortunately, existing esports betting platforms are fiat based and I am not quite sure of the number of online casinos which are crypto based having the same offer. But to support the recommendation of others, Stake is a good example of reputable gambling site with esports betting. So feel free to have a visit on their platform.
2296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing losses - Double down bet or Bet twice? on: February 15, 2023, 01:40:48 PM
I'd prefer taking a pause. There's no certainty with the result and pushing it through may just put you into bigger losses. Well it would be a good thing if you would be able to get back with the losses but what if it just double up? This is why prevention is important. If you are only betting an amount which won't put you on guilt, then things won't be as hard. Martingale to some players is effective but try asking them if good things happen more often than them ending up with bigger amount to take back. Also, know what type of a bettor you are and stick with it. Losing is indeed part of the game but atleast do not out more weight into it.
2297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (food for table) on: February 14, 2023, 11:27:43 PM
Dependence with investment? On an average wage earners? Won't be advisable. A stable job and income is for sure necessary to make a living and engaging to investment will just increase the expenses and lessen the amount of food an individual could offer in a table. There's no such thing as assured profit in any field of investment especially with a more volatile ones such as Bitcoin. It is indeed profitable especially if you have the skills to utilize its nature but given that there are times wherein the market is down, how qould you be able to provide what's necessary for your family? Selling would indeed cut your losses but will also make your losses permanent.
2298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth staking stablecoins? on: February 14, 2023, 10:49:46 PM
If it is being less risky compared to other tokens in this industry having a more volatile value, then it is a good idea if that is your preference as an investor. We do have our own investment strategy in the first place. Most of the people here would go to a more profitable one despite of the bigger risk involved simply because they are not into long term investment. Problem with investing or staking stable coins is that it will require year/s of holding to earn a small percentage of increase. So if you could deal with that more than tackling the risk on more volatile asset which could generate bigger rate of increase and profit for a shorter period of time, then that would be just fine.
2299  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much time For next halving? on: February 14, 2023, 10:31:04 PM
Halving day is what we are waiting for, with halving day we can get better profits, transaction costs that are becoming expensive of course make transaction volume decrease and most people buy because they understand prices will go up, and the halving day trend that has occurred several times makes Fantastic price increase.
No assurance but there is a huge expectation indeed and that is because of the previous fork wherein most of the crypto market prices reached previous ATH for that year before the recent one. But things could still happen the other way around like with Fork of ethereum wherein increase wasn't that much. But given that there is a hype for the next one, it could be an enough reason for a bullish trend. Would be still a long way given that the year has just started. And if ever bullish trend would occur on a different time frame than what is expected, we cannot do something about it but to ride the wave. This industry in the first place is inconsistent and full of uncertainty, so just be ready.
2300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Know your limit on: February 14, 2023, 10:01:20 PM
It will never be advisable to invest all your funds that into one asset that is why deversification would be a better investment simply because it would somehow minimize the risk of losing everything in a single bucket. Also, no investment would give you a hundred percent chance of profit which should be an enough reason to avoid being greedy of profit. Know and set limits on any investment. Cliché as it may sound but only invest an amount you can afford losing. The idea is there, and no one wants to lose right? But always expect for the worse given that there's no certainty in this industry due to market price volatility and also, to lessen the weight of losing.
