2281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to acquire Bitcoin without having the basic knowledge? on: January 29, 2023, 02:44:29 PM
An obvious No. It is applicable to anything; never engage into something you don't know about. It is okay to have plans or to be curious of it but never invest without seeking for atleast prior knowledge 'coz if you'd do, you'll end up with one of the investors saying that this industry or technology is a scam with huge losses on your account. Any type of investment has its own risk and when it comes on this industry, you'd more likely suffer from market price volatility higher than other kinds of investment. Do not be carried away by impressions that this industry brings an easy way to get rich. There's no such thing. Indeed there are people who made their fortune out of this industry but think of how huge the number is, for those who were forced by circumstances to quit.
2282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin now so you don't have to regret it later. on: January 28, 2023, 11:57:12 PM
We just cannot blame those who are having hesitations of investing in this industry. It is a risky investment in the firstplace because of the market price volatility. Not all people are going through same circumstances; some could really afford losing from market price downfalls but most are not. We also have different investment capabilities concerning capital. What's best for those who are planning is to invest first on the knowledge to avoid getting too dragged into hopes of being rich from this industry. That would also help them to know where would they start and focus in this industry. Also, there's no such thing as late; the best time to invest is when you are financially and mentally stable. So be patient for yourself as well.
2283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you into crypto at the moment? on: January 28, 2023, 11:40:23 PM
Profit and potential I guess. Been in this industry for years and I'd say it is indeed profitable in many ways. You may engage to token investment, use this technology on a daily basis or even plan ahead for this industry in general concerning mass adoption by more countries. Right now I have investments or holdings in this industry because the market is still down if we would compare it from the last ATH. Therefore, there are chances that it will again reach its highest price which would generate profit for sure. Thus, I am currently hoping for that thing to happen and eventually earn the fruits of my labor. I guess majority of the people in this industry are doing the same thing.
2284  Economy / Economics / Re: When your passive income equals or slightly above your salary, what would you do on: January 28, 2023, 11:23:35 PM
I'd definitely continue both my job and that passive income as long as I can, and as long as I'm not tired. This is a dilemma to many people; just because you are quite earning with a particular investment, you'd already settle with that. Best thing to do is to maximize your capabilities when you are still young right? I get the point of resting and working smart but hardwork still should matter. If you'd settle with one source of income, it won't always be sustainable on your end's expenses. Not unless your passive income would consume most of your time and will be needing more of your attention and focus. That would be the time to stop with your job IF that thing which you will more engage to, will compensate for what you gave up as well. Never settle for less.
2285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who else have my kind of mindset for Bitcoin 2023 on: January 28, 2023, 11:08:37 PM
Bitcoin have show quite a lot of traction lately even though there have been many challenges in the past few months in 2022, the the year 2023 have been filled some exciting chart outlook where Bitcoin shown a lot of green signal of more demand compare to the red negative chart that flood the chart through out last year.

WHAT IS YOU CURRENT BTC MINDSET:
2023 is the year I found my confidence in bitcoin as I have not check the price of Bitcoin for the past 80 hours, since I am now fully into long term holding giving myself, a timeframe of 2-3 years before looking back on the price but what I will do is to accumulate more Bitcoin as chances present itself.

Who else have my kind of mindset let discussed welcome to the future Bitcoin holders!
Idea is good but that won't be as easy as it sounds. As long as you are engaging to online and social media platforms, you'd come across with Bitcoin price or related news such as when the market is on a bullish run or the other way around. If you are really down on this industry, then for sure your actions will be affected by these things which would somehow push you for a stop loss or cut loss, at some point. Those people who I know to be able to actually hold for years are those who forgot that they are holding. Think of the previous ATHs wherein big and small investors take advantage of selling and buying again during dump. Don't do something because that's ideal, do something because it would give you profit.
2286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin with Utility or Coin without any Utility? on: January 28, 2023, 10:47:08 PM
For lomg term investment, coins with utility qould be more advisable but that would depend still on the progress of the project whether its utility will be sustainable enough for the coin. Howeber if it is for short term investment, xoins without utility are the ones having high rate of increase especially during bullish market. Each type of token has its own advantage depending on its concept but bottomline is which token will be having more demand on the eyes of the investors since demand will be the determinant of profit in this industry. Some coins from tokens with utility are not even growing through years, so still, no certainty of profit to both with and without utility.
2287  Economy / Economics / Re: A bullish case: HOW MUCH #BITCOIN to get rich and fund your lifestyle? on: January 28, 2023, 10:26:35 PM
That would depend on your lifestyle. If you would hve multiple Bitcoins but your lifestyle would also adjust to a more luxurious, you'd end up with nothing for sure. Keep in mind that the market peice is not continuously increasing on a consistent manner. But if you will have somewhat of an 'average lifestyle' I guess 10 BTC would be good to go to give you a decent life as well as to your family especially if you will 'run' that asset to be more profitable such as with investment diverification. But if it is assurance you are looking for, engage to stock or property investments. This industry has a huge potential but has its own kind of risk, so you decide.
2288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: January 27, 2023, 11:26:56 PM
One reason is lower market value which gives an impression especilly to new ones that it would generate bigger profit not knowing that buying a certain amount of Bitcoin would still be equivalent to another certain altcoin. The only difference is higher rate of increase on the market price of altcoins which are often higher than the big names in this company.Higher risk means higher profit so I guess the same principle applies; Bitcoin having a not so big of an increase but is having the biggest tendency to do so no matter what, while, any kind of altcoin which are not following the increase in n instant, will only have an increase if the name or the project itself created.
2289  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye Bye Bear Market :) on: January 27, 2023, 11:12:46 PM
Hopefully. Indeed the market price crossed the lines which causes confusion to hether we are already done with the dumps or still at risk for a market downfall. Well, on my end, I do still see tendencies that the market price will still fall. Why? That is just how this market works; volatility. We do not even know what is the exact reason of the pump recently and that is enough for me to believe that anything could still pull its price down again. Much better than to create unrealistic ideas about this industry again. Also, it is still early and the year has just began. But even so, I am glad there is a recovery after months of red market marks since last year.
2290  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we end the *VOLATILITY OF BITCOIN* on: January 27, 2023, 07:26:21 PM
Regulation I guess would lessen the volatility in the market price of Bitcoin because demand won't be that high. Demand in the first place is dependent with the majority. On the other hand, what makes the demand high is the advantages of this technology; anonymity, low transaction fees and such. These things would definitely change once regularion occur. BUT another question would arise, how will this technology or industry in general be regulated? Probably combination of prohibition of decentralized wallets nd pushing third party wallets usage. Last question in my mind is that, will this be still  getting high demand once regulation takes place?
2291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEX deserves all criticism but not the hate on: January 27, 2023, 05:10:51 PM
If people would choose to be mad towards Exchangers for what happened in FTX, then that would be their loss and not  towards exchangers' end. It will be wrong to generalize just because an individual or team of a project mismanaged handling of money or being responsible with their funds. Think of how good the reputations are of other exchangers especially with Binance which won't be popular for no reason. Also, if you'd stay with what happened your actions will be affected as well so atleast tey to jist forget what happened as a professional consent. Sometimes letting go of it would be a better idea to be able to focus on oneself.
2292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin gaining this much fame despite it's restrictions? on: January 26, 2023, 11:51:29 PM
Money.
Anything which generated money in any sense would be popular. Despite of not being allowed to be used to majority of countries, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are still known by many people as a profitable asset. The market price is too volatile which is a downside as a currency but is something to be taken advantage of. No doubt. The rate of increase is what making this industry popular, higher than most kind of investments. Problem only is knowing which coin would have a price increase since all cryptos' market price are controlled by demand of the majority, therefore, analysis of the market will be always needed.
2293  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: January 26, 2023, 05:53:35 PM
Waste of money? I doubt. If you just cannot afford building your own, renting would be the very option. Also, that would open up an opportunity for you to be able to save from your salary 'coz it would cost less in the first place. Problem is with people who are becoming comfortable with renting and eventually regretting what they have spend on the leased premise. Without knowing that they'd consume more or will be needing a bigger capital for a start if ever they would have their own. The bottomline is financial convenience. Since you're more likely won't be able to relese huge amount of money in an instant, renting should be considered for sure.
2294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My step to promote bitcoin on: January 26, 2023, 04:49:15 PM
For sure there are various ways to promote this technology but the problem is to how will your invitees be able to handle the risks involved in this industry. Itis easy to persuade and convince other people but imagining them blaming you for their losses is another thing. Many people in this industry for sure experienced a friend who felt bad from investing into this technology especially during market price downfall. Not them knowing that losses will only be permanent once they sold their assets. Problem is their impression towarda this industry wherein many people believe that profit will be easily earned from investing in cryptocurrencies.
2295  Economy / Economics / Re: Keeping money and keeping bitcoins? are they similar? on: January 26, 2023, 04:29:41 PM
The fact that the other choice has a tendency to increse concerning market price, makes the difference obvious. Storing in Bitcoin will give you the opportunity to  ern peofit but risk would be present. Keeping your wealth in fuat on the other hand will secure your wealth but won't generate that much of profit. Thus, your preference would be the bottomline. Some would go with investments because of profit tendencies but some people would prefer a safer wealth. Which one would be better then? As I've said, your preference would be the bottomline. If you cannot afford engaging to risks then avoid engaging to this industry in general, volatility is the main factor.
2296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big money bad for bitcoin in the long run on: January 26, 2023, 02:47:29 PM
I have put a pause to buy any coins right now including Bitcoin, I am tempted to buy some but I don't see myself doing it, buying because the market is recovering is pretty bad, it's not as if there will never be any correction again it's better to wait for that correction because sooner or later it will happen, there is one thing I can assure you in this crypto space, volatility is inescapable.
Would be better. It will never be too late to invest. Enter once you are ready 'coz no matter how low you are able to enter the market, if you cannot withstand or endure the market price changes, no profit will be earned. The market value won't continuously increase therefore there will be intervals of downfall in each pump. You task as an investor is to ideally be able to hold and measure the risk of selling at a certain price point. Also investing more won't always determine bigger profit. It will depend on your decision making, capability as an investor, and circumstances you are going through ofcourse. Investment will always have its own risk and no such thing as easy profit exist.
2297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We lose on the long run through return percentage on: January 26, 2023, 01:56:17 PM
First of all, a gambling site is a business. Of ourse they need to take profit from every transaction to keep their business running. And I'm just fine with that as long as it won't be as big as 10% of my winnings because that would be unfair already. Winning is not something which would come on a player's edge thu, it would also be okay to expect a high return but not to the extent that the casino won't get anything from it. Some would say the casino is already getting an amount from deposits. But that won't be enough to pay their duties and to keep a casino alive so I think we should let a rightful amount slide for the platform itself.

Tom Brady officially announced his retirement prior to the 2022 NFL season:

Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady officially announces retirement from NFL

You can see by the date he initially planned to retire. Probably to spend more time with his wife and family.

In a recent conversation on his podcast, Brady talked about some of the personal costs of playing in the NFL for two decades.

“I haven’t had a Christmas in 23 years and I haven’t had a Thanksgiving in 23 years, I haven’t celebrated birthdays with people that I care about that are born from August to late January. And I’m not able to be at funerals and I’m not able to be at weddings,” Brady said.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Elle magazine published in September, Bündchen, 42, said she had “concerns” about her husband returning to the field after initially retiring last winter.

“This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” Bündchen told the publication. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”

I don't think Tom Brady expected to make it to the superbowl this year.

Everyone that plays for the tampa bay buccaneers probably didn't train hard or prepare well for the 2022 season. Given that all of them thought Tom Brady was retiring.

If they were making a run for the superbowl they would have needed to plan for the 2023 year when everyone could have put in the preparation to make it happen.
Well, for sure he has plans. He's not even new in that industry for him to have a huge name. Such thing happened for a couple of times in any industry but more often in sports. Some players are tired and some are just wanting to take an ease with their career. There are even athletes who have retired early but still came back for another season. Bottomline is, no matter what reason he has, that would be his concern. We, as fans, can also support him for what he is doing. But I hope this coming league would still be as exciting as before wherein betting is not only done for money alone but for entertainment and enjoyment as well for the fans of this industry.
2299  Economy / Gambling / Re: How best to report vulnerabilities? on: January 25, 2023, 11:13:38 PM
The best way is to engage their discussion thread here on the gambling section or contact their representative, also if the case involved is beyond an ordinary report then one can open a reputation thread against them and present your take, we cannot expect all the casinos or gambling organizations to function the same way we have with others and as for those not on the forum here, it may be difficult to get across to them since they know that they already had a vulnerability, they wouldn't respond to your complaints and this is part of the risk associated to using casinos we aren't sure about their reputation.
As @uneng have mentioned in this topic, the thread was already locked by project manager which seems to me that they don't have actions yet or are just disregarding their players' concern. In this case, moving to another gambling platform would be a better idea than to wait for them to solve the issues; that is their responsibility in the first place and that is not something a player should still ask for them. Bugs and other 'glitches' are somewhat normal for new projects especially we are talking about online platform wherein servers are huge. But their action would speak louder than their words for sure.
2300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This Smells Like Hypocrisy on: January 25, 2023, 10:59:36 PM

Gambling in Japan is not black and white. In fact, gambling is considered a criminal offence and is generally banned across the country.

Those that are found gambling can face large fines and even serve jail time.

However, there are exceptions to this rule. Betting on horse racing and the lottery are two forms of gambling that are accepted in Japan.

To me, this seems hypocritical. You claim that gambling is illegal, but you may bet on horse racing, Pachinko, bicycle racing, boat racing, and Mahjong, which baffles me. I do not seem to understand. Why is that so? You claim it is unlawful, yet wagering on games that are overseen by the government is not unlawful. Is this not hypocritical? What does the government fear?

https://gamblingnewsmagazine.com/gambling-in-japan/
Such is life and we just need to understand what we are putting ourselves into before we take a little look on the what we are fighting for. Sometimes I just laugh at some people that keep claming that gambling could have some side effects but you'll see them booking games with the intent to win some profits.
Anything we are fighting against, we should make sure that we are not going contrary to it because it could lead to our own jeopardy. Everything we do, we should keep making sure that we don't do it excessively to avoid any initial sequences.
'coz it simply depends on the individual. Anything has its bad side and whether you become a victim of that, will solely depend on you such as with addiction. Gambling is an addictive activity no doubt about that. But if you would be able to manage your exposure into it, for sure you'd be safe from addiction.

In terms of exception with gambling in different countries, I agree that culture might be also considered if not taxation. In my country many gambling activities are banned but lotteries are allowed simply because they are registered and are paying for their operation unlike with other gambling activities and platforms. Hypocrisy do not solely depend on action but also with the purpose of a claim. Sometimes generalized idea of prohibiting something becomes literal to others' perspective.
