2841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it really possible to quit on these reasons on: October 30, 2022, 11:53:45 PM
Everyone could quit gambling if they would want to; it is just a matter of self- discipline. Greed and money are the main factors why a gambler continues to play. Best thing to do is diversion of activity. Find something that would consume your time and eventually it would replace the hours you are spending in gambling activities. Make friends as well who are not into betting because if you will be still surrounded by people who are into it, you'll surely have a hard time to get over it.
Losing a huge amount, to some people, is enough to give up on something but there are people who will get more drive from such instance or to simply play more. Likewise with winning big time.
2842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins and Memecoins on: October 27, 2022, 03:24:38 PM
Bad season especially for 'small' tokens. Majority of the altcoins including memecoins and 'shitcoins' are not reacting wuth short pumps in the market unlike with the big names out there. There's hope indeed but definitely lower than the typical crypto names, to get a comeback for this year which is about to end.
Did you notice?
It is shitcoin season!!! Memecoins are not to be left behind!

What are Shitcoins?

Shitcoins are crypto assets with little to no value or digital currency that has no immediate, discernible purpose.
On the other hand, Memecoins are genres of crypto assets with it?s value derived from it?s community?s support. They are largely speculative.
Those people that have no idea what to buy in the market will likely choose what was been suggested by most, and that is not meme coins nor shitcoins but surely it was Bitcoin and Ethereum.

If we are familiar with the market and have an experience with these meme coins and shitcoins, you will certainly discourage people not to invest in them. I hope newbies will see the risk with these coins mentioned by OP. I know Dogecoin has a huge community but this is not the ticket to say it was a good investment, not even with the others as we know that meme coins are mostly scams.
Memecoins are usually riding the 'waves' of demand. Given that whales are not that active especially during times of such, memecoins are negatively affected. These coins has no utility and market prices are solely dependent with demand, that is why. If ever there will be a bullish movement before this year end, for sure few tokens would only make it under category of memecoins.
2843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the Best gambling Token 2022? on: October 26, 2022, 03:59:20 PM
Most of the most successful gambling tokens are already discussed here and a couple of them have even a signature campaign to distribute some of those tokens in their platform to their users. The real problem is now not which gambling token is the best but why no one of them is so successful that gets massive adoption as I think these tokens are created for a value, sure the value depends on how the casino distributing them is performing but normally their price should increase and be used even for other activities in order to be truly successful tokens.

I think we already have the best cryptos which have massive adoption in the crypto casinos and specific tokens are only being used by specific users so I don't see a reason why everyone should support them, this is just my personal opinion though but I believe from what I hear from many crypto gamblers they are gambling with traditional cryptos like Bitcoin,Litecoin etc.

not everyone will support casino tokens. like any altcoins, its use is often just to grab BTC from those who tried their luck and invest.

but its lucrative to be partly owner of casino that's why. bank roll was even a better option but the creation of tokens can make it more like a money making for a holder who can also sell the tokens in bull market.

Gambling tokens are profitable to invest when the project is still new or before releasing it to the audiences. Once it became stable in the 'market' its price will only follow. The demand won't be that much simply because gambling tokens are being used  freely by players which allows it to circulate continuously. No gambling tokens will be held for a long period of time, often, because it won't be serving uts purpose. Unless other factors would appear which may affect the market price of not only gambling token, but tokens in general.

If it is for investment purposes, other utility tokens would be more advisable;those which can generate huge public demand will have a higher tendency to be profitable by investing or selling.
2844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: October 26, 2022, 03:29:44 PM
the only thing a casino would be concerned of money laundering is profit because it would allow more players to continue playing.

Let's be honest, money laundering is the best thing that can happen to a casino and there is where most of high rollers comes from. I have seen some rollers in the past that runs some huge scams and then go to the casinos to play with the scammed money and with that justify where they get the money from after hitting some huge wins.

Nowadays most casinos has KYC, but i don't think that is enough to stop the money laundering, what casinos should do is to investigate the source of the deposits to fight against this illegal activity, but that will not happen because is a win-win game from them.

So, what do you say, does crypto casinos really care about money laundering?

I think of course implementing KYC in casinos isn't sure to stop money laundering completely.
because money launderers will always have many ways and methods to launder their money.
money laundering practices not only go through crypto casinos, they will split their money and put it into trades, properties, stocks and much more.
they will do various things by putting their money into small pieces and converting their proceeds into other assets.
which in the end they make as if the proceeds of crime are their property from legitimate business activities.

I think at least a few casinos that implement KYC will prevent and maybe be a little difficult for the money launderers.
and will also provide small pieces of information for the relevant investigators to point to the money launderers.
But then again, the money launderers are not people who have just entered the money laundering business but must have had years of experience. So even if they are dealing with a casino that implements KYC, they will easily find another less restrictive casino so they can still run their business. This money laundering is like a business for them because they already have a place to use to launder money and maybe find a place to store their money safely. But crypto casinos are trying not to become a repository for money laundering proceeds and implementing KYC is one way to avoid that problem.
An established casino won't allow risks to be that high especially for their assets. Money laundering won't close a deal with a small amount. Given that it would be expected to be huge, casinos would somehow ring a bell to secure what might be a loss on their end. Agreement will not be drafted and close without edges on both ends. KYC would be wuestioned on the other hand by the 'customers' so casinos would need to find a better way to aid suspiscion but being fair at the same time.
2845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A disheartening true life winning story on: October 25, 2022, 03:03:31 PM
How bad it is when you finally get what you want and suddenly you won't get it due to those scammers that are not fair to their players. These kinds of people should be punish and make them pay twice or multiple times the money they planning to steal from this man who might be losing the game all this time and finally won the best time of his life.
Sad to say but scammers would always exist as long as there are victims. I'm not blaming the victims but rather wanting to make a wake up call to be more cautious. This thing does not only exist in gambling industry, but to many fields as long as there is money involved. With OP's topic, as long as the victim has proofs, he'd win for sure let's just hope money won't determine the case.
Unfortunately, there are other instances alike with this scenario we are talking about;between gambling site and player. Worse case scenarios are players not even having a dime inspite of winning what he gambled. It would be an advantage for victimes if there are registrations involved with gambling sites because players could sue them but if not, no justice will be given; especially in this industry eherein anonymity is concerned so better be mindful of possibilities.
2846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will This Habit Lead You To Chase Your Losses And Addictive To Gambling on: October 25, 2022, 02:15:23 PM
Do you think it's unhealthy to always post your winnings on social media and forums because this habit will lead you to chase your losses and bet more so you can post your winning, I find this habit forming and this is bad especially if people are following you and always looking forward to your winning posts.
Because of reputation? depends on the individual. The tendency to chase losses depends on the drive of the gambler and his resources as well. There are times a gambler who's suffering from loss will continue playing to get back with his losses which sometimes being referred as greed. There are also times wherein no matter how the gambler wants to recover from his loss, he willbe forced to stop because of his capital. In terms of posting social media which I believe can be or relevant with 'clout chasing', i think it is not a strong basis because users could just post their winning bets or recycle past winnings if they are just into clout. There are ofcourse times these variables would correlate but most of the time with weak relationship.
2847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win big in casino, would it be publicized? on: October 24, 2022, 02:58:49 PM
Ofcourse not, unless you allow it. But more likely, they would first ask your consent, but some casinos won't even think about posting the picture of the jackpot winner, perhaps, just to protect his/her identity and to avoid endangering one's life. That simple.

I am not sure about the land based casinos and lotteries but crypto based online casinos generally doesn't publicize such info.
Almost every week there are winners of certain rounds but only their names/alias are being displayed as winners.
Even if some website decide to publicize the winner info then it becomes their due diligence to take the require consent from the winner before they post their info.
There are some differences between online and land-based casinos. In land based casinos the information on big bets stays in the casino where other gamblers can get that information. But neither the player's name nor the winning money is displayed in the online casino. If they want to publish it, they must try to connect with that user for his permission before publishing his or her information.

That's not true because I have seen online casinos displaying the user id as well as the winning amount in the casino.
For example freebitco.in has draws every week and displays the list of winners and winning amounts.
But the catch is that their user ids are just numbers and nobody can make out who the actual winner is.
BC.GAME has some lottery rounds and declares the winner name and prize amount but the amounts are relatively small.
So there are casinos which displays this information since they must be already having it in their policies.
User ID would do, as long as personal informations are still hidden. User ID makes someone still anonymous because that is considered to be just a 'screen name'. But as we have seen on online platforms, some people are using their real names as user ID which is somehow not a smart move.
2848  Other / Archival / Re: What casinos are safe on: October 24, 2022, 02:09:56 PM
Currently there are very many casino sites that are present but not all of these sites we can rely on, do not be easily influenced by big lures because they sometimes just want to trap us, so to avoid losses as you feel choose a site that has been official and has been for a long time without any problems for users, sites such as roobet, winz and others that use KYC officially without being able to use fake identities, then such a site I think we can rely on, but there are also other sites that you can visit at this time maybe I can't mention one by one.
I agree with you that we should be careful of casino sites, many are dangerous especially when they are new. They are such that attract people with the hugest bonuses and nicest programs that would convince them. While some are good, many of them are bad, and even the bonuses they give are with some conditions that will be stringent to be fulfilled.

But I don't agree that KYC is a good factor to consider in choosing a good casino. Some of them are doing it for doing sake, you have to check if they are duly registered and regulated, and also have a good reputation online before trusting them.
KYC does not really add to the credential of a gambling site but rather gives doubt to some players because of their identity that might be used to things which are bad. Credential and reputation of a gambling site would be enough to determine if it is safe to play on it. We may ask for opinions from other players because for sure most of them are using not only one gambling site, which could help us to be referred to other platforms we may choose from. If the gambling site is registered and is acknowledge by institutions perhaps, that would be a plus point but most of the time, these sites has lower bonuses because they paid to be registered.
2849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Good crypto casino comparison site on: October 21, 2022, 04:23:12 PM
^

My personal opinion is that this website is more like an advertising integration than a website whose owner would do real independent research, analysis of casinos and make their comparisons. That's why I would not advise to listen to such sources, but rather to read real reviews from respected users of this forum. This will give a much better idea of the gambling sites.
User feedback-definitely. There are various casino sites to choose from, If you're a gambler who will solely depend on what the sute itself is promoting, that would be biased on their end and won't generate a more reliable verdict about that gambling site. Check for its popularity and reviews from other people. By means of review is asking directly from people you know to get an honest opinion. Some gambling sites, especially the new ones, would do everything to please its audience and that is why they are presenting themselves as something promising for possible or potential players.
2850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: October 21, 2022, 03:21:58 PM
Will definitely betting on Anderson Silva, a true fighter. Indeed Jake Paul has the size advantage but experience Silva has, is something. Jake have shown improvement despite of his short career but I do really think that this could be an instance wherein things won't go easy for him. Silva is a veteran in this game and is not easy to be beaten even by his fellow fighters.Let us accept that Jake would be performing better over years, meaning, he's not ready for this fight yet. Odds are great as well to Jake which makes it more interesting to bet and win big time. This is exciting.
2851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Split the prize or Reroll? on: October 21, 2022, 02:16:20 PM
Let's say you join a give away with other user and both have to select a number between 1 and 10, you go for 7 while he goes for 9. The winning number is 8.

If the prize is 0.1BTC what would you do? Split the prize and walk away with 0.05 or Reroll to gamble for the full prize?
Playing it safe would be better, just split the prize and avoid being too greedy. Or if you're kind enough, give a bigger portion to the other participant which would be lame because both of you played the game. Rerolling might even give you both tendencies of losing and no one to take home the prize, right?

That's not greed. That's FEAR of not receiving any money from what actually is a free giveaway. Which also loses the real purpose of the giveaway in my opinion. It's supposed to be for fun for the community, not for receiving money to take home.

Well, its a wrong use of the term "Greed"  Cheesy

Enterntainment purposes indeed but it would always be better to have something than to gain nothing, in every scenario. If it is an activity wherein all players would enjoy, then that would work, but this is just a 'pick a number' game, there won't be fun from rerolling and such.
2852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I find way to win on dice on: October 21, 2022, 01:17:44 PM
2 weeks has been passed after the @OP creating this thread, now I wonder how much money has been made by @OP after using this method. I think he already make either million dollars or making few casinos become bankrupt since @OP is always win Shocked

@OP you should login and post the proof about money you made for the past 2 weeks instead of being silent and leave the forum alone.

You can use your method but you must start with a dollar or half dollar at the beginning of the bet so that you don't lose a large capital even if you double bet it repeatedly.
Just start to bet from 1 satoshi and let's see what you got by using this method.

I guess we need to have a further update with OP of course having a strategy proof is the best ideal.

You can wait for his proof that it is not a problem.  But I have been playing dice for a long time and I have a good experience with this game, so I can say that his idea will work somewhat because I have personally used such a method, but I have always used such a method with a small amount of dollars and sometimes use such a method.  I also lost my entire investment while doing so it is not a good method at all
If it is dice game, algorithm is the only way. There would be a pattern but won't be easy to figure out because of probability in combinations. For normal players, it is just a game of luck. If some of you are somehow having patterns or strategies to come up with a win, I guess it won't work most of the time. Only developers of the game would be ble to determine possibilities in dice games because they're the one who made it. It won't be called gambling if patterns are easy to be found out, and ofcourse the house won't allow that.
2853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Faucet and Bonus Farming on: October 21, 2022, 11:40:11 AM
I think casinos would simply not allow their business to lose in any way. House always win right? Faucets and bonuses are simply for promotional purposes . They might seem to be losing in a way that they are giving it for free but that's how promotion works. They are paying people to make them pay afterwards once these people who recieved free money, become interested with what they are 'selling' or offering to the audiences. Maybe not visible to consumers' perspectives but there are gains by doing so. They won't do it if they will earn nothing from doing so, as simple as that.
2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 20, 2022, 11:11:24 PM
Im always a fan of pacman but let us accept the fact that he's not as focused as before with boxing. His visions were altered by his other ambitions as a basketball team playing coach and as a politician. He still got the juice or skills indeed, but not as refined as before. Age? possible. But bottomline here is that his odds of winning is not as big as before even on the weighing in phase. So it's a 50-50 on my end, his opponent is strong as well we cannot disregard that.

I support Pacquiao doing exhibitions, he's still got it and he still wants to box but unfortunately, his level is not on the level of top boxers in his division or in any division, boxers tend to gain weight when they stop doing what they love doing like training, by doing exhibition he can still show his fans his moves, put his body in the top level and at the same time make money, we all know his failed presidential campaign took a lot from his finances, so he can gain a portion on what he lost.

I will follow you with Manny's capabilities. He can show it up inside the ring by doing exhibition and knowing how he still loves doing his stuff for sure.
Power of experience indeed. But capacities has limitations based on one's bodies. But I'm not saying pacman won't completely have a chance to overcome the contender, but for sure he'd have a tough fight this time.
2855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you get over a bad loss? on: October 20, 2022, 10:42:18 PM
Taking a pause would help. You must make time to kill time without thinking about or atleast lessen the thoughts that you've lost an amount. Some people would continue playing to get their money back but as cliche as it may sound, things could got worse by doing so. Try doing other things that you usually do other than gambling or playing, would be unfortunate if you have no other hobby or leisure.

But prevention is better than cure. Prioritize putting in mind that in gambling, there's no easy way to win. Always regard the possibilities of losing to avoid suffering when expectations are not met. Reflect as well if you could afford continuing this activity because you are free not to do so.
2856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: October 20, 2022, 09:45:58 PM
These are two gambling stories that are very interesting

Story 1
A man stole his girlfriend's 10k to place a bet. He won 100 million and returned 10k to his girlfriend. His girlfriend is furious and demands 40 million dollars.

Story 2
An apprentice who won 16 million naira on BET was asked by his boss to split the money into two parts. This 50 - 50. As the story goes, people sided with his boss, and he had no choice but to comply. It's important to remember that the money used to bet belongs to the apprentice, not the boss.

*Read the different opinions of people here

First, in your opinion, what would be a reasonable amount to give his girlfriend? Second, assuming you were the apprentice in the story, would you abandon your training or would you have given in to the pressure to split the money with your boss?

On my case, if his girl friend demands for it, give less; if she did not give more than what he borrowed. Asking for more has a different meaning which could be related to greed. When it comes to his boss, why would he be required to split it? Did that boss contribute for his capital that he used to gamble? If no help was made, I guess his boss is not entitled for that half, much more if he's just using his position.

We are talking about gambling here. There are tendencies of losing, and if that happened rather than winnings, will these people be the same? Possibility is that, they might not.
2857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 20, 2022, 03:54:11 PM
Influence is a broad thing. But given 'idols' have the power to encourage people towards or away something, there is a high tendency that some people would be affected or influenced by celebrities into such activities. Gambling perhaps is an example; those who are not into gambling could be persuaded to try which means there would be a chance for them to be hooked up with such activity one their attention is carried away. Factors such as trustworthiness (which I deem to be the biggest), could boost the confidence of those who are not really into it. There are many gambling sites to choose from but given someone they know promoted it, it could be something which could make them choose that specific website.
2858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: October 20, 2022, 03:23:50 PM
Casimero is my Bet on this one , there are advantage towards Akaho because he is ahead in height and reach but Casimero is one of the most toughest boxer in His division so maybe lets call this as a much awaited fight  so better to  have your choice and bet .

and also Casimero will go Head to head in this one and not going distance to lessen the advantage of Akaho.

Same here, this is his comeback fight and I'm sure he will not mess this one up. No betting odds yet but I'm certain that Casimero will be the favorite to win this fight. Maybe waiting is the only thing to do now, and since both fighters have enough time to train, I'm hoping that we will see a war, not a fight that one will run while the other will chase.
Akaho is a strong contender no doubt. Casimero being a crowd favorite could be both a disadvantage and advantage. Disadvantage if he would be carried away by his drive to avenge his fellowmen who were defeated by akaho (we all know that this contender has a good record consisting of opponents with the same nationality as Riel). It could make him less focused with the fight. While on the other hand, this drive can give him the advantage to be more serious with this match up. Another thing is Casimero's previous fight result wherein it was a bitter end. Will it be a comeback or not? I am ofcourse in favor of Riel with this fight, but considering they are both good fighters, we may see the unexpected. Hoping that it would be a great fight.
2859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 20, 2022, 01:32:51 PM
Unfortunately, what's happening more often; greed prevails. Winning would push a gambler to play more. Gambler's Fallacy I guess? It would be easy to have idea of such; quitting once you win a reasonable amount to quit, but that would be hard to be honest. A money earned easily is usually spent quickly as well. But ofcourse if you can simply show discipline, it would be much better . It is not impossible in the first place, it is just that such thing is not present to most of us, let us accept that. Money is too powerful that it can alter our ambitions, plans, and ideas.
2860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Want KYC at Crypto Casinos During Registration? on: October 20, 2022, 10:53:48 AM
If players are into KYC services, they should have played with FIAT-Based casinos. Personally, I am against KYC procedures not only in gambling but to most of the online services, because I am anxious that my information could be used to something which may cause danger to me, basically. I do get the point of KYC to those which are mainly for transactions, but in gambling, I guess addresses (cryptowallet) would be enough for a player to send and recieve payments to the gambling site. Personal informations are quite suspiscious even if the gambling site itself is considered trusted or registered.
