2281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Mayor Wants to Re-open Casinos. Thoughts? on: May 23, 2020, 08:51:01 PM
Well, those that are strong in "faith" (& are truely "protected")  would still consider those that are weak in faith and vulnerable.
If a good/reasonble law says wear a mask and practice social distancing, do it for the sake of others (even if you'll never get infected) so they don't get scared, confused, start copying you, or start behaving recklessly.
People who get infected from you, won't be glad knowing who is responsible for their misery

If a law is idiotic you were given a brain to think for your own and question it. If you believe that wearing a mask made of a piece of cloth will protect you from the virus you must be nuts.

Ever thought that it's not people who are infecting you, but you can simply catch it from touching a product in a store. The virus can survive for a few days on surfaces, so wearing a mask does nothing but give you a false sense of safety.

Whole world will get the virus sooner or later. You can live like normal if you want or stay at home and delay the inevitable.
2282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best advice for Bitcoin ATH investors ?? on: May 22, 2020, 10:13:52 PM
It's quite unfortunate for anyone who bought bitcoin at > $18K.

And people looked upon those who bought at $32 in 2011 or $1200 in 2013 with great pity for long periods of time. Until those who arrived later started to dream of buying at those prices.

It's all about your appetite for time. If you're a believer and you're in no hurry you have a chance of looking like a champ a while down the line. There's still a lot of growth left, a lot of people yet to comprehend it.

Even when it has reached saturation and literally not one extra person will ever get on board the deflation will be starting to get into swing.

I have a friend who bought after mtgox collapse in 2013 for 700 dollars and held for a year until Bitcoin reached the lows of 200 USD. Then he lost all hope and sold thinking it's all over fort BTC. You can imagine how he felt the next year when it went back to 1000. He lost his savings by this one stupid mistake and the saddest part is that he held for over a year before selling at a low.

If OP's friend held for the last 3 years when the price was at 5000 and lower why would he panic sell now at 9 when he's still at a loss?

He went through atll this because being down 80% on your investment must feel bad and kept his coins and held. Tell him to be strong the worst part is over.
2283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most trusted bitcoin company? on: May 22, 2020, 09:59:18 PM
If you are mean exchanges than binance and coinbase. But im not recommend to you to store money there. Its much safer to just hodl on your own non-custody wallet

Binance and coinbase are for sure not the most trusted Bitcoin companies!

I don't understand why you point them out and then say you don't recommend them. So are they trusted or not?

I'd trust Trezor and Ledger. Their products can be trusted and there were no signs of ill will from them. Using them is probably the second safest way of storing your coins right next to an offline cold wallet.
2284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shower thought. If nations/states/governments are accumulating Bitcoin, then on: May 22, 2020, 09:52:12 PM
If they are buying they must be doing it in a very low quantity because the price isn't moving like it would if institutions were moving in.

You should understand that 100 million dollars for a country is like nothing. They can snap a finger and buy that in bulk right now but we don't see 100 million purchases often.

Maybe they are doing it over a long period of time but why would they play around like this if it's such small money for them?
2285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2009 coins on the move? Probably not Satoshi on: May 21, 2020, 10:44:40 PM
Maybe it has not affected the price as much as you think!

Bitcoin has been struggling to break 10 thousand and there's been a recent double top that signals a short term reversal. The price is just looking for a support from which it can continue upwards.

It was debunked many times already that those were not Satoshi's coins! Satoshi was not the only person in the world who mined in 2009.
2286  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will Bitcoin increase? on: May 21, 2020, 10:16:08 PM
It's been almost 10 days since Bitcoin's halving ended, but I still can't see any big Bitcoin pump, how many Bitcoins I had, now I'm in a lot of confusion, what to do! I still don't understand whether Bitcoin will really increase or decrease, so there are many big Bitcoin users here who want to know their opinion. Huh
You should be glad that the price didn't get dumped after the halving. Can't see any big rise? Look at what the price of bitcoin was weeks before the halving took place. The price did rise significantly!
Please stop asking people when the price will increase. They will give you bullshit prediction based on nothing.

It just did go down a bit today.

OP if you bought BTC without understanding it just because you wanted to sell it for more fiat after the halving you're going to be disappointed.

I expect the price to gow down to 8000 or something and all those halving buyers who thought we're going to be at 10 thousand next month just because the halving had happened will sell at a loss.

Bitcoin will go up in the long run but you weak hands won't be here to see it.
2287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Huobi's VP accuses BNB and CMC for 'distorting' crypto rankings on: May 21, 2020, 10:07:46 PM
Look who's talking!

In 2018 an analysis of exchanges volume showed that Huobi was faking it with only 26% of real volume!
At the same time Binance was cleared with 100% real volume.

https://bitcoinist.com/binance-bitfinex-not-fake-volume/

Binance isn't the safest exchange out there but if you're criticizing others at least play fair yourself!
2288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto a.k.a. Glenn M. Lilly (mathematician for the NSA) on: May 21, 2020, 10:00:20 PM
On the contrary, most, if not all cell phones or internet connected devices have a “hard coded” MAC/serial number that is tied to an individuals internet service provider, which is tied to someone that showed an ID to open the account, the serial/MAC of that device links the name, directly linking the identity - via multiple steps. They have already started contact tracing for COVID19 by way of an individuals cell phone, imagine the things they are doing and not telling you about.
Please explain to me how they'd know my ID by knowing my computer's serial number.
The only thing that is tied to my ISP is the IP address, but how does that reveal my identity through the blockchain?

Bitcoin is as anonymous as you make it.

2289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have a question about gaming developer idea on: May 21, 2020, 09:04:40 PM
If it's a game where people can gamble with each other using a game currency it might not require licenses. Many games have skins and items that people gamble with and it's a kind of hidden gambling.

If you want people to wager cryptocurrency you will have to check your local laws. Many casinos opperate without licenses. It depends on the country where you register.
2290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Underground Casinos Is it Happening? on: May 21, 2020, 08:38:19 PM
It is happening but we have to think about whether this is bad.

The market has its own rules and when there's demand somebody will make sure there's a supply.

People have the right to choose their own fate. If they want to gamble because they're not afraid of the virus we should let them.
2291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: J.K. Rowling, Author Of Harry Potter Is Interested in Bitcoin, Time To Short? on: May 21, 2020, 01:05:45 AM
I don't get why people interested in BTC like OP can still say such naive things like "bitcoin is taking a big hit"

The sky is falling! Bitcoin went down from 9800 to 9400 time to short and it doesn't matter that it was lower than 9400 just 5 days ago! Let's make a big thing out of it and keep saying that it's a big price hit because nobody will remember that this month we were trading for 8500 Wink
2292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering More or Wagering Less on: May 21, 2020, 12:58:44 AM
If we measure the normal win rate of 49% wagering more will not give you more profit.

If you take into account the small chance of winning a jackpot it's better but still not great.

Add that playing more gets you income from other sources like competitions, referrals, rakeback and it can be profitable to play more but you have to be smart about it.
2293  Economy / Economics / Re: Get ready for more tax. Save your BTC! on: May 21, 2020, 12:49:05 AM
Baseless assumption. Do you always label people like that?
I'm sorry I made a wrong statement here and I want to rephrase. I meant that if a person does not pay taxes , then he does not have any moral right to talk about where taxes go/what they are made of/etc. You do not pay taxes-OK.  But then do not tell everyone around that taxes are very bad and that we all need to stop paying them abruptly and go to the gray/black areas.

This I have to agree with, although I have long accepted that I cannot decide where the taxes go and how they are spendt so it's fine.

That's what they want you to believe.
I just want to remind you that many of the things that we are now using were created initially in research centers/institutes/on the basis of universities - and all these things were conceived specifically for military, intelligence and other "army" purposes. With whose money? With the state's money. Where did the money come from? From taxpayers. Consider that taxes are a kind of hub for financing the necessary (not always but necessary) things.
Just remember where the Internet came from and why we are communicating here now.

Are you trying to say that taxes are the only way of financing research?
What about donations, fundraising and all that stuff?

Does that mean state-owned research facilities are the only ones in existence?
What about private institutes, private universities.

The government has money from many sources not only from taxation. Many countries make most of their money from trading natural resources and tourism.

When? 2001. By a mathematician known as Glenn M. Lilly, employed by and under the direction of the NSA.
Why? As a control mechanism to tax, as well as trace each individual with ease.

So a US agency made a payment system available for every person around the world so that it can trace and tax them?

Even if they only cared about US citizens they gave other people around the world a way to transact without the involvement of banks and hide their savings.
Was it a trojan horse for the rest of the world?

What about the people who mined their coins and then transacted with other Bitcoin users? Their identities are not linked to their wallets. Did the NSA forget that the system doesn't work when the ID of a user cannot be associated with a wallet?
2295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker games that are providing free plays to earn real money on: May 20, 2020, 12:24:16 AM
1. SWCPoker.eu - Free tournament every hour with 1000 satoshi reward. Quarantine special free tournament twice a day with 20,000 satoshis each. And other free tournaments for high Krill users.

the quarantine series (including the twice daily 2k chip freerolls) are ending tomorrow. only 4 more quarantine freerolls left.

most open freerolls aren't worth the time---big field, tiny prizes. private freerolls may be worth looking into though. for example, on ACR Poker, if you open up the tourney > private tab, there are several private freerolls for $100 or $250. you need to join the poker community in question (eg thenuts.com) to get the passwords.

That's the problem with those free tournaments. So many people join them and it makes your chance of beating them and winning something pretty low.

Even small entry fee improves your chances because it cuts the number of players by half while still being very affordable even for beginners. The prizes are of course much better too. A few dollars is not a high price to pay for that.

There's also this thing, if you have a spare $100

2296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the safest crypto online games to start if you are a Newbie? on: May 20, 2020, 12:15:30 AM
^You mean "mines" game? It's different than minesweeper though since (usually) no information about the adjacent cells, like number "1" and "2". In the casino "mines" game often is just pure guessing.

That's right. If it was like the original microsoft version your chances of success would be much higher and they cannot do that so the casino minesweepers always give you some information and then you have to take a 50% guess.

In the end it's like a coin toss game.

There are easier games but those aren't the safest. The safest are games where yoyu can use yoyr skill but to play them you need to learn first. Games like slots are where the most people lose money but they don't care because it's cheap to play.
2297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN HALVING now a reality !!! How is that working out for everyone ??? on: May 17, 2020, 09:59:52 PM
It's working out great for me, OP. I bought Bitcoin for much less than its price today with a hope of at least being able to get the same value out of it in a few years and avoid inflation. I got like 3 times more value as a bonus from this perfect asset that just keeps on giving.

How about you? You were negative before the halving and did not buy - price went up from 6000 to 10000. Then it went down to 8000 to give all those late for the party a chance to reconsider. You didn't buy and boom it went back up to 10000. How do you feel when life changing opportunities come and go while you watch?
2298  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price might drop now?! on: May 17, 2020, 09:56:03 PM
it doesn't matter if the price of Bitcoin goes down, we have started the Bullish Season, if you trade on the Spot maybe you don't need to worry, but for futures trading it's very important for you see

Bitcoin is really standing strong.

I'd say we're going up from the low in March and had a nice bullish breakout in April followed by a small crash that was stopped when traders were saing that it's the end of this pre-halving bullish phase.

We did not come back like a dead cat bounce. It looked more like the strong demand brought us back where we were suposed to be which is above 9000 dollars.

I doin't get why OP is looking at 4h. Most people look at 1d and that's still looking good.
2299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters and Investors, Who values Cryptocurrencies More? on: May 17, 2020, 09:46:48 PM
The both want same thing, profit. While majority of bounty will dump the token immediately it goes on exchange, investors might wait a bit longer. At long run both are chasing more money.

OP thinks that bounty hunters are better because they put in work while investors put in money. It's different.

If bounty hunters had money they'd probably choose money but they don't. Bounty hunters are poor investors who have to work to be able to invest in a project.

Investors have enough capital to make money by moving it around. They don't have to get into bounty programs.
2300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: It seems like it's the end for bounties on: May 17, 2020, 09:37:19 PM
You can always switch from bounties into signature campaigns. Who knows maybe it's not the problem of bounties but altcoins or they way they're promoted. It's always aggressive marketing, referrals, a lot of promises and then the coin doesn't even get listed or is listed on some shit exchange with no liquidity.

Bounty programs are still a good way of advertising just like signatures. It's possible you guys will be advertising bitcoin businesses instead of wasting time on shitcoins. The market will show where the demand is.
