2281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Super League (ISL) Football match updates, predictions and discussions on: December 08, 2020, 05:12:42 PM
The match between Northeast United and Bengaluru FC ended half time. The match is now in a 1-1 draw. Bengaluru is playing very well. They have 65% of the ball in their possession. And they have been able to attack well several times. Northeast can't play much better. Hope Northeast will play better after the break. And they will win the match.

The match ended as a draw, with both the teams scoring twice each. Bengaluru should have win this match, as they were 2-1 at one point after the goal from Udanta Singh. But within a few minutes they conceded a goal and the match ended as a draw. Now BFC is at 4th position in the points table, with just one win from four matches. They need to step up their game.
2282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: December 08, 2020, 04:52:34 PM
Much of it are balanced group with further chances left for 2nd team. Group B is going to be one of the largest disappointment as one of Spain (not likely), Sweden or Greece would surely miss the world cup. Other groups are easy to guess unless we have some unfortunate results just like what we're seeing in some popular leagues.

Greece is one of my favorite teams and it will be sad if they fail to qualify. Things are also looking tough for Iceland, unless they manage to beat either Romania or Germany. Also, Russia may struggle to qualify from the Group H, where Croatia and Slovakia are the favorites. And this is one of the reasons why I think the format for the 2026 World Cup is better. 48 teams will be participating during the 2026 edition, including 16 from UEFA.
2283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 08, 2020, 04:43:58 PM
Australia won by 12 runs in their 3rd T20I. Somehow India prevent their whitewashed in ODI series likewise Australia prevent from being whitewashed. T20I series an action replay of ODI series with both teams. Anyway, first T20I lose this year for India.

I was expecting 3-0 or at least a 2-1 series win for Australia. But India played really well to win the series. The last match defeat doesn't bother me much, as it was more like a consolation win for the Aussies. The way Hardik Pandya, Jadeja and Natarajan played during the series, gives a lot of hope for the Indian T20 side ahead of the world cup in 2021.
2284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 08, 2020, 01:20:11 PM
Kudos to Aussie bowlers. They handled pressure really well, its not easy for bowlers when you are bowling against 2 gun batsmen at the death overs. Big plus for Australia is their 2 wrist spinners they are complimenting each others quite convincingly during the middle overs.

Shreyas and Samson need impressive IPL season next year 2021. If they want to get in the T-20 WC squad, otherwise there is no chance for them. Surya Kumar Yadav might be good contender if he clicks in IPL one more time.

The Australian spinners really bowled well, which is surprising considering the fact that Indian batsmen are being regarded as good players of spin bowling. Both Zampa and Swepson handled the pressure well. And from what we have seen, good performances in the IPL doesn't necessary translates to big scores in the international scene. This holds true for Samson, who has repeated failures to his name.
2285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World Map of Bitcoin Legality on: December 08, 2020, 12:00:47 PM
Very interesting to see BTC acceptance visually on this map - very cool.

It looks that apart from the middle East most other continents have no restriction on cryptocurrency and only a handful of countries within these continents are still lagging behind.

After just over 10 years with such a slow adoption, I'm pleased to say that this isn't too bad  Cheesy

Bitcoin is a decentralized digital asset, and the only way to ban Bitcoin is to ban internet as a whole. There is no centralized authority for Bitcoin. Therefore the governments can't shutdown this central authority and thereby destroy Bitcoin. Many of the third world nations have restrictive laws against Bitcoin, but they will have only limited impact on the trade and holding of coins.
2286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Say btc is Not ponzi but its look like ponzi on: December 08, 2020, 11:27:36 AM
Greedy people losing their hard earned money in various scams is nothing new. It happens all the time, in almost all the sectors. Ponzis exist in Bitcoin sector because we have stupid people who are greedy enough to believe in these scams. They believe that it is possible to become millionaires overnight. As a result of their greed, they fail to do proper research on these schemes. And in the end Bitcoin gets the blame.
2287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 08, 2020, 10:59:37 AM
Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli seems to have consolidated the innings after the fall of KL Rahul. Shikhar Dhawan just got out, and Sanju Samson has come to the crease. Now this is an ideal opportunity for Sanju to play a crucial innings, after his repeated failures. And the required run rate is still under two runs per ball, so he has enough time to settle in.
2288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 08, 2020, 10:06:41 AM
Shaw and Gill were acting like, it was some kind of T-20 game. Prithvi Shaw is really struggling, it happened in IPL and he continued with bad form here as well. He was first choice for the opening slot along with Mayank Aggarwal, not sure if that's the case now.

This is what happens when some of the younger players get too much glitz before they get enough maturity. They need to understand that pocketing a multi-million IPL contract is not the final target. Ultimately, they need to perform for the national team and it is going to matter much more than their performance for the IPL franchise. This is applicable not just for Prithvi Shaw, but also for the other young players such as Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer.
2289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japan becomes more friendly towards Gambling on: December 08, 2020, 07:42:23 AM
More on their side, instead of going out to visit casinos, the government are attracting their citizen to stay.

It's much better doing that, instead of allowing those gamblers to bring out their money, having a competitive casino inside will allow them to stay, free from possibilities of being  infected of this ongoing virus and it will generates good amount of money from the sin taxes.

Prohibitions never work with certain sectors such as alcohol, cannabis, gambling, prostitution.etc. And that is the reason why more and more countries around the world are legalizing and regulating these sectors. On the other hand, some of the countries such as India and Pakistan refuse to make them legal, sticking on to their stone age laws. This only help in pushing these sectors underground, in to the hands of criminal gangs.
2290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 08, 2020, 07:32:53 AM
I think Saini is suitable for T20 match. But the Indian team for Odi or Test matches has more skilled and experienced players than Saini. Saini will have to work harder to play an ODI match for the Indian team. I think if he gets close to a good and experienced coach. He can improve his bowling. The Indian team management should build Saini properly.

Agreed. Temperament is needed for the longer format and Saini lacks that. On the other hand, I have a feeling that Natarajan is suitable for both the shorter format, as well as the longer format. Anyway, it is nice to see so much competition for the slot of pace-bowlers in the Indian team. Apart from Natarajan, Saini and Siraj, we have a bunch of young pacers waiting for their opportunity, including Nagarkoti, Tyagi, Shivam Mavi.etc.
2291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum remains the king of altcoins on: December 07, 2020, 06:11:23 AM
Ethereum remains the king because most of the new tokens are getting listed in the ERC-20 platform. There are other platforms available and some of them are technologically superior to the ERC-20 Blockchain. But they have very low acceptance in the cryptocurrency market. It will take many years, before any of them become capable of offering competition to ERC-20.
2292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dead? on: December 07, 2020, 05:58:06 AM
And also a lot of negative stigma on ICOs because of the many scam projects. In terms of security, ICOs are also far behind IEOs, and investors certainly don't want to risk their money to fundraising structures whose security is weak or even uncertain.

It is only natural for the stigma to exist after so many scam projects. And the worst part is that even after so many scam projects, most of the ICO promoters failed to ensure adequate security mechanism, to improve the confidence level of the investors. They continue to refuse requests for third party escrow of the project funds and independent audits. So it is only natural for the investors to stay clear of the new ICOs.
2293  Economy / Economics / Re: world getting ready for 2021 for final year for usa dollar i guess so on: December 07, 2020, 05:48:44 AM
US Dollar has remained as the reserve currency of the world ever since 1945. If nothing miraculous happen, then it will remain in that position at least for another 100 more years. Other governments have tried hard to elevate their national currencies to the position currently held by USD. Examples are Japanese Yen, Euro, GBP and Chinese Yuan. But none of them even achieved distant success. Such is the strength of the USD.
2294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can new crypto beat Eth in the market? on: December 07, 2020, 05:37:20 AM
It could happen, but for now, no one can replace Eth at Number 2. No one has matched Eth’s technology to this day.

This is wrong argument. There are coins such as Cardano (ADA) and NEO available in the market and they are much ahead of Ethereum, as far as technology is concerned. But they are unable to topple Ethereum from the no.2 position, as their acceptability is much lower than ETH. Ethereum was the first smart contract platform in the cryptocurrency market. And this gives an almost invincible advantage for that coin.
2295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxation of 30% on gains from Bitcoin investment? on: December 07, 2020, 05:17:45 AM
OMG that's a big number 30% in profit for tax is too much and unfair I really don't understand how the government is calculating the taxations, also I don't think they are favouring this technology else they might have planned according to it. However I am not aware of the source if this is true then definitely people will move to the alternate source to save their profits.

Have you read my previous post? If not, read it to get yourselves educated about the situation. First of all, 30% is not abnormal and in many of the countries the rates are much higher than this. And secondly, 30% is the maximum possible tax. If you are in the lower tax slabs, then you pay a much lower tax rate. In India, the maximum rate kicks in only when your annual salary (after deductions) is above ₹1,000,000. And less than 1% of the Indian population earns that much.
2296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Altcoin Safe for Investment on: December 07, 2020, 05:07:09 AM
In my opinion, USDT is not crypto for investment. USDT has a dollar benchmark value of 1: 1. USDT for me is just to send dollars across countries without bank intermediaries or 3rd parties. So saving USDT is not the best investment option because its value will never grow.

LOL. It is ridiculous to even think about USDT as an investment asset. If you want to invest in US Dollar, then you can do it directly by purchasing the banknotes. You can also invest in the US treasury bonds, which will give you an annual interest. There is no point in investing in USDT (which happens to be a token issued by the Bitfinex exchange) when these better options are available.
2297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you trust, BNB or ETH? on: December 07, 2020, 04:57:06 AM
Ethereum will be my pick. Just look at the number of ETH being locked for 2.0. A lot of ETH are being locked which is decreasing supply while demand is growing. Price will surely increase and if ETH 2.0 successfully launched, it is gonna be a great success.

Unless they burn the coins, it will not remove them from the circulating supply. Prices may increase if ETH 2.0 is successful. But you should not forget the fact that the exchange rates have already rallied by a lot, as a result of the hype surrounding the ETH 2.0 rollout. The spike will be limited, as a result of this pre-existing rally. On the other hand, if something goes wrong then we can expect a major crash.
2298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 07, 2020, 04:41:54 AM
I totally agree with you. I think Natarajan plays much better than Saini and Siraj. He will do better if he is trained well. He has bowled brilliantly in the last T20 match against Australia. He is far ahead of Saini and Siraj.

Agreed. IMO, Natarajan will be a better partner for Bumrah, when compared to either Saini or Siraj. India didn't had a quality left-arm pacer for quite sometime now, and I am sure that Natarajan will be able to fill that vacuum. The fact that he plays for SRH shouldn't be held against him. And the Indian selectors need to tell Kohli that he should not get too biased while selecting the playing XI.
2299  Economy / Economics / Re: US Firm Launches Company-Sponsored Bitcoin Retirement Plans on: December 07, 2020, 04:12:50 AM
I'm not so sure if this is a great idea at all. A bitcoin insurance is a much better idea than knowing that your retirement money is based off a currency that is too volatile to even be used as a money, and intangible that we can pretty much say they are made out of thin air. Imagine the pressure and mental damsge that could do to a weak-hearted future you. It's just going to be too much.

ROFL. Most of the retirees would devote anywhere from 50% to 75% of their portfolio to non-volatile assets such as US treasury savings bonds. But the problem is that their returns are very low and the future outlook also says that the returns will decline even more in the next few years. So obviously they need to devote the remainder of their portfolio to those assets which can give better returns. Stocks and bullion are good options, but small amounts of cryptocurrency would act like icing on the cake.
2300  Economy / Economics / Re: 2020-2021 best year if You Want to become rich no skills needed on: December 07, 2020, 04:02:35 AM
Without skills it is impossible to make an earning out of taking loans. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll get to earn out of the investment. Moving to another country with the loan amount is not a wise decision, because I had a friend who got blocked from Dubai and was asked to settle his debts and move to India.

OP is asking others to commit fraud. He would take loans from various banks and then flee to some other country to avoid the repayment. I am not sure whether this will work that easily. In many nations, the banks can actually impose a ban on international travel with the help from courts, if they have sufficient evidence to prove that the individual who took the loan is trying to default.
