Hey, I'm considering switching from BTC Guild to eligius. Can you answer some questions for me?

Only if you format your computer to get rid of the huge amount of malware on your computer.
2302  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [220'000 GH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: September 06, 2013, 01:25:00 PM
I dont own any ASIC but Ive accidentally left some BTC in my guild account.  Any chance I could close my account and get the balances cleared.
Unfortunately BTC has progressed beyond some of the older miners ability to earn and I got the auto payout mixed up and it left some behind

Why can't you log in and do a manual payout like everyone else?

I would be very keen to use this if you did.  I'm planning on using the TL-WR703N, which I think has 4MB flash and 32MB RAM.
4 MB flash is too small for even the normal BFGMiner packages (or really any packages).
The only way I expect you'll be able to make this work is to build a custom firmware with BFGMiner included in the main image.
Whether libmicrohttpd could be squeezed into this or not, I'm not sure of.

Yeah, I think running the system off a 4GB USB stick is probably a better idea.  Cheesy  Assuming there's no limitation in storage space, is there any other issues you can foresee?

I'm guessing most people running OpenWRT will be running it on bigger routers that have more flash.
2304  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Eligius questions on: September 06, 2013, 12:07:42 PM

Any idea if/when you'll be adding the getwork server to the Windows binaries?
The main problem here lies with libmicrohttpd
Is this the same issue with the OpenWRT version?  I just picked up a little TP-Link pocket router to run my Block Erupters, but it'd be nice if it'd run the Blades as well.[/quote]No, OpenWrt has a native port of libmicrohttpd already, so it should be possible.
The problem there is that it's all or nothing: if I build with libmicrohttpd support, it won't be usable without it, and may increase the flash requirements.
I haven't taken the time to measure just how much yet... Maybe I can offer multiple alternative BFGMiner packages to get around this.

You guys are running p2pool 13.3, aren't you?
2306  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Stratum Proxy for Windows on: September 06, 2013, 11:20:50 AM
Go to https://github.com/slush0/stratum-mining-proxy and there's a working download link under "Installation for Windows".

The first hit on Google gave me this solution.  It's amazing.  Searching the internet.  So simple, yet so rarely done.  Grin
2307  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mining PCI-E Card 10Gh/s card for only $100 on: September 06, 2013, 09:46:36 AM
A lot of companies are now making PCI-e cards that can mine Bitcoins.

Yeah, they're called ATI graphics cards.  If you think there's any ASIC PCI-E cards being made, you're smoking crack.

Change my nickname to what i want. Put in my BTC-e Namecoin adres and i see the line i have to sign with in the form directly below.
I copy the line and paste it with CTRL-V in the empty line and punch in submit.

You need to copy the contents of the first line in to the "Sign Message" box in Bitcoin-QT, then copy the string of characters it produces in to the second line on the Eligius form.

Thank you to everyone who mines here, everyone who has donated (or even pledged a small donation % in the new control panel that isn't in effect yet), developers who have helped out, etc.  We're steadily growing and I think we have a great thing going here.  Lets keep it up.

And thank you for making the effort.  It's much appreciated.
2311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ASUS P5Q deluxe - cannot get more then 3 GPUs to run on: September 06, 2013, 08:20:42 AM
That's a P45 chipset, and only has 16 PCI-E lanes.

See: http://ark.intel.com/products/35133/Intel-82P45-Memory-Controller-Hub

One card is probably taking 8 lanes, the other two 4 lanes each, leaving none free.

0.5BTC is about £45.  I don't know what you're smoking, but you need to stop it.

Price is BTC4 or nearest offer. At that they're cheap (they go for £200-ish on eBay).  I'm offering them to the mining community at a cheap price, because I'd rather have BTC than fiat right now.

These cards work perfectly in games, too - no issues with fried RAM or VRMs leading to screen corruption, like older cards that have mined for years.

Ah right, sorry my gibberish-to-english translator plugin wasn't working.

If you want paid faster, you need to mine faster.
2315  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 2x Gigabyte HD7950 cards. [UK ONLY] on: September 05, 2013, 05:04:18 PM
I have my last two GPUs for sale.  Both are Gigabyte Windforce3 HD7950 3GB.  3 fan units.  Part number is GV-R795WF3-3GD REV2.0.

Both have mined BTC and LTC for about 6 months.  They both work fine.  One is slightly noisier than the other as one of the heatsink fins rattles.  I haven't been able to figure out which one, it's barely noticable over the noise of the fans when mining.

Extra heatsinks have been added to the back of the card for extra VRM cooling during scrypt mining.

Supplied in original boxes.  I will try and find the cables and stuff that came with the cards, but no promises.  If I find them I'll ship them.  Consider them to be bare cards in original boxes.

Will take BTC4 or nearest offer for the pair, shipped to you.

So, did you actually email webmaster@btcguild, or did you just come here and post a totally pointless thread?  Huh  If you DID email webmaster@btcguild, why did you come here and post a pointless thread?  Huh

Wow.  Roll Eyes

So, what's wrong with Google Translate?  From most of the crap documentation that comes with Chinese stuff, it's obviously how the Chinese translate stuff to English.  Or is that Ingrish?

I wouldn't fuss too much about it Luke-Jr - bfg still handles the Erupters WAY better than the "Other Miner".  So what if the figures jump around, the little sticks do their thing no matter what.

NMC payouts are definitely working, I just got one 2 hours ago.
