I saw business like this... People buy domain, create a niche website, generates few traffic then sell it for a good price. I used to keep eyes on eBay to see how it works but never figured out that how the buyers actually get benefited from it. If I have a niche website that is making money then why would I even bother to sell it in the first place?

Yeah, we all do mistakes and learn from it. That's a part of life. I did not have this 4% ratio things in mind. Seems like it worked on me LOL

I've just realised the i put the Bitcoin Talk merit beggars list on Crypto Bounty. I might move that onto Talk Merit.

If my memory serves me right then I guess I have seen a site with some screenshots of members begging merits. I think you can add it into your new blog, in a separate page with a dedicated menu since your new blog is all about your merit giving experience. It's up to you by the way.

2323  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Let's get your lost Bitcoins back on: June 01, 2018, 08:08:11 PM
There are several months since I woke up in the morning and I got slapped by a crazy thought. I wrote it, I remade it at least ten times and finally I tried it out. You know that situation when you are blown away by an idea and you feel it is an unique case which  comes up only once in a few months or sometimes even years. Well, here it is.
 I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke anything, I do sports a lot; I have a damn healthy lifestyle so I can call my idea - a genius one, born in a healthy brain. MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO
This is what sold me to sent a merit on your way. Whatever you are trying to do with your life, good luck mate. Remember you still could not recover your gambling addiction.

You are talking about this sites? Once they will realize they are losing money then they will upgrade the system. I remember back in days with Paddy Power and other online sites, I used to trick them in tennis and football. They did not have this wait time (10 sec I guess) before. I made a lot of money with this trick. Later I discovered they added this trigger of 10 second delay.

You are playing with those sharks and they will do everything they can to stop you.
2324  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to find a compatible wallet? on: June 01, 2018, 07:21:41 PM
I have a few atcoins I need to get out of exchanges and in to staking online wallets like btcpop.co or n to wallets that I can save to a usb stick, I am sick of looking and getting no where, I will personally pay someone 10$ in crypto if they can just help me find a place to put all these coins please.

The coins i need moved are NANO, Ripple, Stellar, ect.

Also Does anyone know how to get coins back from cryptopia after they just mysteriously go missing? I just contacted support at cryptopia with this message:

"I used to own XEM, FCT and sky now my balances are zero, what's going on? I asked customer service to place a note to not dust (aka steal) my coins but they are gone? Please fix thank you."

Why don't you use Ledger nano S. I have been using it for more than a year. It supports bunches of Alts too. Check in there website: https://www.ledgerwallet.com

Don't worry about money. If you decide then let me know. I can give you my affiliate link in your PM. I will get a tiny commission and both get benefited.

By the way I am not vouching for the referral commission. Ledger nano S really is a good one IMO.

2328  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Switching from fiat to virtual assets. on: June 01, 2018, 06:32:24 PM
I took the decision to switch from fiat banking assets into virtul assets. I picked up a bit of Bitcoin, but not much, as I was reluctant to use the online exchanges. I decided to run my dollars through domain name registrations and purchases, and to take the proceeds in Bitcoin. This seems to be paying off, but I need to review my buy-it-now prices. I've just had somebody claim Crypto Bounty .com for $950, and i think i undersold that by quite a bit. Still it hs made a nice profit for me. Also, somebody is front running BuyPureGold.com for $22,264, which is a bit excessive, and I haven't even got it up for sale.

Would you guys be interested in discussions about domain names in my new blog?
I realize the demand for a good domain name only when I need to buy one for any biz idea I think of. It keep saying not available, not available. I used to have around 100 domains, held them years but never launched the businesses that I was intended to. They expires and I do not renew them. I still have 8 to 10 domain names and few of them are in use.

My problem was I never planned before buying these domain names. I did not even care to lose them as well LOL. Seems like if I was a bit wise then I could make some good money from them.

I guess before buying any domain for future selling you need to have a visionary mind about your niche. Or - how do you do that?

Moneyline Wagers
In a head to head matchup, one full set must be completed for Money Line wagers to stand. If less than one set is completed, all Money Line wagers will be cancelled and funds returned.
Please deduct 0.2 from my last Nitrogen score.
This makes a good sense. I used bet with bet365 (I am not sure if I had this kind of cases, I tell you what... I was a crazy one. I even used to bet on point market).
Anyway in the case of forfeiting win-lose bet should be cancelled. An injury in a in play tennis match does not really help no one (bookie or the better). Before formfitting if we get a result for any other market (like set, point etc) then that should do because you already won the market.

By the way I like it when you said, "Please deduct 0.2 from my last Nitrogen score.". Good luck on your betting career  Smiley

Did you hit the Report to moderator link? If not then I suggest doing it. The mods will take care of it.

There you go... Indeed the user tried to steal your BitcoinTalk username and password. Good thing that you were aware of it.

2331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Creating public address from ethereum xpub on: June 01, 2018, 05:16:01 PM
Is it possible to generate new ethereum public address from extended public key?
Thanks!

Have you ended up finding this...

Code:
var hdkey = require('ethereumjs-wallet/hdkey');

var extPubKey = 'xpub6ERoQFMqiUoTXAL56JpQYLq5FyXaZypJiKdsAbHKzMUQsSiJTNSMnBtYYRXxda9C6fUx6mMMqatUDNFSKxxXcpBcpPkTqVwyethpWiQN8p5';

var hdwallet = hdkey.fromExtendedKey(extPubKey);
var wallet = hdwallet.getWallet();
var address = wallet.getAddress();

console.log(`Address: 0x${address.toString('hex')}`);
2332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Walking the plank - the hunt for posts to award with merits. on: June 01, 2018, 05:10:45 PM
Wordpress was created from the old B2 blogging CMS. The other fork from B2 was B2evolution. I looked at both of them, and I didn't really like Wordpress, and I feel it is more vulnerable to hacking. I used to use B2evolution, and I'm having to refresh my memory, and that's why I haven't done much with it. I was considering Drupal, but that's a bit overkill in my opinion. I just felt that B2evolution is a simpler and cleaner implementation of the old B2 software. I know it doesn't have as much support, and as many addons, but that is an advantage for me. Smiley
There you go old school phobia I guess (may be, not sure, don't slap my face LOL)
By the way I wonder am I in the ignore list  Tongue
2333  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Walking the plank - the hunt for posts to award with merits. on: June 01, 2018, 04:35:25 PM
Any reason why you didn't use WordPress as a CMS instead?
This was my initial thought as well. For blogging, I doubt there are any other better platform than wordpress. All you need is a good theme.
2334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Walking the plank - the hunt for posts to award with merits. on: June 01, 2018, 04:28:16 PM
I've started my blog about life as a merit source. I'm using B2evolution as the CMS, and the site is more or less straight out of the box. I'll do some more customising, and add some articles over the weekend. I went on a merit awarding cruise through the boards, and I call that "walking the plank". I wrote a quick note about the experience, and you can read it here -
https://talkmerit.com/the-source/index.php/plank/friday-1st-june-2018

Let me know if you think these reports will be useful, and if you would like to see any changes in them.

Don't bother with the rest of the site at the moment, it's really just the sample pages that come with the package.

Nice one mate... I'm not sure If I should ask or offer this... Are you using a premium theme for the blog? If not then I can help you out. I have a bunches  of theme and I can install one for you. Let me know if you want to pick one: http://cdesignsuk.com/over-80-plus-wordpress-premium-themes-for-blog-website/

By the way I will do it for you without any charge. Just to support a good cause.

The beauty of the themes that you can drag and drop your contents.

Good day! I made a mistake in writing the post on the English line, in reply to the guy on the situation with bitcoin, I pointed out the data from Coindesk resource, forgetting to leave a link to the original. In total I have written two messages in English for the entire time of their existence and found an error in them. from my 1200 posts, I always pointed out the resource, I did not steal any posts and did not spam. Yes you are right, I made a mistake, but who is not mistaken? Is it worth insulting a person with a ban if he was mistaken? I realized the lesson, and my posts can be checked and they speak for themselves, I pointed out the sources. Forgive me, no one is perfect, but I understood the lesson! Sad
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.msg38383563#msg38383563

it's plagiarism.
I do not see if you have a chance left to get back the account. You are going to waste your time.
Since you are banned in your original account, so legally you are breaking the rules creating this account too.

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]
2336  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk stats on: June 01, 2018, 01:59:26 PM
Are there any stats on the ICOs promoted via bitcointalk?
BitcoinTalk officially do not moderate any ICO or recommend any ICO so you won't find any stat on ICO related stuffs.
2337  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Improve your knowledge of cryptocurrencies along with books! on: June 01, 2018, 11:54:20 AM
I'm not sure that this topic should be placed in Meta, so I ask you to advise me where it will be better.
I guess it appropriate for the Beginners & Help section. In my understanding this topic has nothing to do with forum issues/queries so, not belongs to meta.
2338  Other / Meta / Re: Will Merit system turn to decentralized ? on: June 01, 2018, 11:33:52 AM
Huh! Another suggestion and this time even before getting a good grip of the system. I see this is your 6th post, assuming you do not have much idea how the forum really works. Isn't it too early for you to make a conclusion for you?

Merit system is abused by ppl and its all centralized, control by ppl.
Forget about the system loss better focusing on the gains. Merit is making the forum a better place, giving the members a motivation to think more than once before creating a post. You can not make everything automated. How would you define the variables? A human brain will always be gillions times more creative than a robot.

As a newbie, I know how difficult to earn Merit and the feeling when u make quality post then no attention from Merit sources.
It is difficult for a reason but not impossible. You need to work for it and that's the whole idea behind the merit system. No time for lazy posting anymore.

+ Then from number of Thanks, ppl can exchange to merit for rank up.
We are here having difficult time managing one feature (merit), now on top of it you are suggesting another one (Thanks). Honestly speaking, I do not see to bring another layer in between merit and actions from the members. No from me, sorry.
2339  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk stats on: June 01, 2018, 11:25:53 AM
Is there anywhere here statistics on Bitcointalk users?
I.e. rankings, user Tops by merit, activity, etc.
Merit stats official : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats
Forum stats official : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats
Vod's BitcoinTalk Public Information Project (BPIP): http://dev.martinlawrence.ca/bpip/

Is that enough? If not then let me know. I will bring topics from some members who are really good at extracting the merit data.
2340  Other / Meta / Re: How bad posters reduce the availability of merits - by a merit source on: June 01, 2018, 11:05:16 AM
