1841  Other / Meta / Your reports: Status confusion or unnoticed bug? on: June 28, 2018, 02:23:04 PM
First, I thought to post this finding on the [Guide] Reporting effectively topic then I realized it could be an off-topic reply for the topic, I am not so sure. With some hesitations, I am creating this topic. I need to understand how it's working or is it an unnoticed forum bug.

This is a part of my Your reports page. For better understanding I drew the arrows with specific colors. It's easily understandable that...
1. Once a report gets deleted then it's a good report.
2. Until it's not deleted, it's Unhandled.
3. How about the rectangular one? The post has been deleted yet the status says Unhandled.

I hope a mod or anyone knows about it.

Thanks.

1842  Other / Meta / Re: Does Google re-index edited threads? on: June 28, 2018, 01:46:34 PM
I've just added a couple of lines to a post of mine on page two of this board. As it's an edited post, SMF doesn't bump the thread. I'd be interested to know if Google picks up the change and re-indexes it. I appreciate that I could have made a new post and deleted the old one, and this would have resulted in a bump.
Google index sites after x amount of times AFAIK...

Every page has its own frequency of updates.
High quality news sites might be updated every few minutes into the "fresh" index.
On the other hand, low rank and outdated pages might not get re-crawled for a month or even more.
You may want to read the whole contents of that page.

on the absolute short end, you might get lucky. You might upload the changes to your site mere moments before Google finds a link to that page and crawls it. That crawl notes the changes and, if they’re minor, immediately indexes them. The time from making the change to it being reflected in the index could be under five minutes.

Today I tried to recover the password from my account using a secret phrase. My account has been blocked. Bitcoin address I did not send to anyone. The email has remained the same. In the geolocation profile inscribed wallet ERC20. I can send this address to the PM. Help please restore my account.
I wrote a message on the form, indicating the wallet ERC20

1845  Other / Meta / Re: Lamborghini Member, what title is that? on: June 28, 2018, 10:46:47 AM
~

This is not (yet) automatic: you need to PM me before donating.
And I do not think it's automatic yet. In that case, I think anyone can have a custom title if theymos wants to active it for that user.
It's a sarcasm by the way  Tongue

My original custom title was Gold Member. Mprep then one-upped me with Diamond Member, so I had to go one further and become a Lambo member.
If I had a chance then I would have a Private Jet Member title, in that case would you think of going more further?  Cheesy

Talking consideration what The Pharmacist just explained....
I would like to ask the OP about some of the following topics. Why does he think these worth merits?

I wouldn't trust a newbie to run anything on my own machine. you could actually rent a machine in the cloud
To run your script. Friendly warning for greedy members don't do it because OP could do it himself for less than $10.

This topic in fact is in a wrong section.

Re: PhoenixMiner 3.0c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Windows)
~
I do not have good knowledge about mining however looking at the mega thread which originally created on last December having 108 pages of comments, how did you end up finding that specific topic for merit? Especially, when the user have not received a single merit yet even after having 140 activity. Going to his post history - I do not see a bright one.

Clearly promoting an ICO or project which has nothing to do with the forum members knowledge gaining.

What's special about it?

Listen, I am not saying all of the above are to suspect by the clue The Pharmacist just pointed out but there are some posts which rise the red flags.

A side note: I guess there is a hidden criteria before to pick up a merit source. It's the ability to spot good posts. It comes from experience and they gathered it from this forum. Not everyone can be a good merit spender especially those who do not have much knowledge about the forum.
1847  Other / Meta / Re: Merit/activity ratio. on: June 28, 2018, 09:49:57 AM
...the fact that you can receive up to 50 per member per post...
Safe to say - per 30 days. Hope you don't mind point the correct one?  Smiley

Is there a limit on how many merits I can send?

Yes. You can give a max of 50 merit to a user every 30 days.

Today I changed my password through the password reminder function and my account was blocked Cry  Through the mail, I could not contact the administrator of the forum, so I'm writing here from another account. The account is very expensive for me and I do not want to lose it for reasons I do not understand. here there was an error and I have a big request to restore my account. My banned account is Luke997 link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=210181. Hope for understanding.

Seems like you are in big trouble. I hope you get back your account soon.

Hove you followed the instruction on this topic yet?
1850  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the Maximum activity level for Jr Member with zero merits? on: June 28, 2018, 08:37:59 AM
Actually sixty is not the Maximum, it goes way above sixty if you take a closer look

You have the clear answer from Harlot. You need both required activity and merit for the next rank to overcome Jr. Member status.
1851  Other / Meta / Re: I'm just curious about a negative feedback on: June 28, 2018, 08:22:10 AM
I know that DT members when giving trust are not moderated and depend on each member of DT itself.
It's not only for DT it's for all. Trusts are not moderated by mod or staffs or anyone else except the person who left the trust.

I'm just curious about a negative feedback, I see in illustrating the negative feedback is "You were scammed or you strongly believe that this person is a scammer." but I see many members have negative feedback by describing outside the scammer.
Every trust is relative, depends on the person's observation who left the trust. It does not have to be the same for you. What I do is, I do a little research on the references and then I make my decision, instead of blindly depending on the red paints.

Shitpost, abusing all these stuffs are part of the forum. We have to live with it. What important is you do your job while you are fighting against them. If you back off then how would you change the bad.

My idea is to create a new topic with basic guideline and update the topic with URLs when new information will be added in the comment section. This way the community will have better understanding about cryptospace and of-course about the BitcoinTalk forum.
Hoping hilariousetc will see the answer.
1853  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the Maximum activity level for Jr Member with zero merits? on: June 28, 2018, 07:29:32 AM
The required scores are:

RankRequired activityRequired merit
Brand new00
Newbie10
Jr Member300
Member6010
Full Member120100
Sr. Member240250
Hero Member480500
LegendaryRandom in the range 775-10301000
So, looking at the next Rank level the max is 59 activity for a Jr. Member.

whoever who bought up this merit system is praiseworthy.
It's theymos, the admin of this forum.

12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting it in the local language boards if it's translated).
Your translation is wrong. Look at these posts from  the poster. This is called duplicate contents in multiple boards.

In your case, you could reply on the topic instead of creating a new topic for yourself however it happens, not a big deal. Next time make sure you do not do that again.

Hm... I figured it would be better to use the ones available on SMF as a default:
The defaults look completely ok but problem seems the Telegram one. So, I had that thought.
1858  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: June 27, 2018, 11:16:49 PM
Am I the only one who finds the telegram logo too bright?
It is. Try with this

For email:

For PM:

It's a totally new one although.

Web:

Anyway the idea is to have all the icons black.

Also, like bL4nkcode said: We do not need the past work column. It makes the whole table annoying. All these details should be in the ANN thread and if a campaign manager does not have a ANN then they may possibly lose potential customer. It's their fault however, a customer always can contact using the contact details though. By the way, no offence to those who do not have an ANN  Smiley . It's a friendly feedback only. I am sure pugman has better things in mind if not the same.
1859  Other / Meta / Re: Merit/activity ratio. on: June 27, 2018, 11:03:10 PM
Time is even scarcer than bitcoin, so I want to effectively use my time to learn from user that posted quality stuff using effectively their time!
Unfortunately you are the only manager of your time. So wise to say, manage your time by your own terms.

Any way some hints: You can start from reading the stickies of each boards and reading what others to say instead of creating topics like this for the next few weeks. After all creating threads like this consumes some of your times, right?

Oh! By the way, search for nullius  Grin
