Allow me to quote one of your better posts:

.
Now please, turn off your computer.

This really hurts the eyes mate. Not trying to be a douchebag but can you edit the post with the archive.is link for reference please. And I hope Ms. CRYPTO ADVISER snip the contents on the post too. I do not understand why he had to quote the entire post again where he could just snip it.

Thanks LoyceV in advance.
1702  Other / Meta / Re: Is this a new feature of the forum? on: July 04, 2018, 04:52:13 PM
I noticed it few weeks ago (two weeks I guess), it seemed new to me then again I thought it was there from the beginning. I really was confuse, now looking at your post it seems this is indeed a new one. It's quite handy though. You do not need the entire page to be refreshed.

Yes, it's a quick edit.

Did you just slapped (virtual) on digaran's face?  Tongue
Here you could see how he locked the thread immediately after I posted there.
Sorry for the off-topic, I just could not resist myself laughing after seeing this topic. This will surely embarrass him.

Anyway, good to see the post. I do believe people need their chances and this is a good example for it.

1705  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Is it possible to understand bitcoin deeply without having an IT background? on: July 04, 2018, 02:09:35 PM
You will never be a nullius without studying for years....
Can we rephrase it: Anyone can be nullius if they study for years. (Just a little positive reinforcement)

I wonder why did not you have satoshi in mind instead of nullius  Tongue

PS: By the way, what you said had nothing wrong at all. Hope it did not annoy you.
1706  Other / Meta / Re: Will the merit system be removed by BTT in future? on: July 04, 2018, 10:57:39 AM
I think BTT followed Reddit karma system introducing the merit system But I am afraid whether it works in a similar way to Reddit. Obviously, getting karma on Reddit is not this much harder. Therefore, even though the intention is good everybody doubts now, whether the merit system works as everybody thought at the beginning.
Why it has to work the similar way. Getting merit is not impossible but harder for a reason. If these members can do it then why cann't you?  You are trying to find holes in merit system (I have been there) where you HAVE the holes in yourself. Better improve yourself then complaining about anything else.

But I am not sure Merit system is the answer for it. Will BTT introduce any other system in future instead of the merit system?
So that you can easily start posting your non senses and move forward? LOL

1707  Other / Meta / Re: Tool it may help spot abusers/alts - Re-post from Reputation board on: July 04, 2018, 10:28:48 AM
(Opened initially this on Reputation with the idea most "Merit/alts investigators" would be in there but turn out they may be actually in here as well, if you are an Investigator, i suggest you read this, it may make your work easier)
Also I hope a mod can enlighten us in what condition/s a topic can be on more than one board.
However, I have seen somewhere a mod said you can have same topic in more than one board. May be - you want to look for the reference or if any mod gives a feedback in here then it would be nice.

Good to see the topic here as well.

Good morning you too mate.
1709  Other / Meta / Re: Special Hero question on: July 04, 2018, 10:04:05 AM
That is if he gets the required number of merits for the new rank, his activity might be due for the new rank in next 4 weeks or less just like you said but he also needs the merit to move on to the legendary rank.
I don't know what cave you have been living under but my merits are displayed right there! Minimum required merits to become a legendary are 1000 and if you look at my merits, you shall see I'm pass that.
LOL epic! I don't mind Manhenro after looking at his post history it was obvious  Smiley

When people tell you,"Post in meta dude.. You'll get merits easily..." And then you come here saying crap without knowing anything. Nice.
Nailed it.
1710  Economy / Reputation / Re: Tool it may help spot abusers/alts on: July 04, 2018, 09:58:00 AM
I was thinking to make it in here because it may be a place where people doing investigations read and they could make the most out of it. In any case if it makes more sense to have it in Meta let's move it in there, as long as the "Merit investigators" have a chance to know there are tools to make their work easier.
May be this topic worth having both in Meta and this section.

If I am not wrong then most of the "merit investigators" do hangout in the meta section and they have notification on for that board. I recently activated my email notification for Reputation section where for the meta section, my email notification was on from the very beginning. I wanted to give you a real example, it's up to you to chose the right board.

However, I have seen somewhere a mod said you can have same topic in more than one board. May be - you want to look for the reference or if any mod gives a feedback in here then it would be nice.

By the way, I forgot to mention - Good work again.
1711  Other / Meta / Re: Scam Accusations or Reputation? on: July 04, 2018, 09:48:33 AM
IIRC, reputation is for bitcointalk accounts and the trust ratings a person receives/sends(related to that aspect) or for crazy butthurt people to come up with allegations.
Yeah on the reputation board, I figured out everything related to reputation for bitcoinTalk accounts.

Scam accusation probably.
I had this thought too and after seeing your feedback I feel like I have a vote  Smiley

Thanks for the feedback. I will lock the topic now.

Appreciate pointers on how best to ask my question

You are talking about a post created on the June 12, 2011 and now you are in 2018. Back in those days the forum did not have much traffic so things were accepted but now as the forum improves we are/well be seeing more strict rules are in play. I do not see anything wrong.

i.e: Back in those days account selling were completely normal (I read it somewhere) but now DT members do not take it easily.
1713  Economy / Reputation / Re: Spam/alt account ring on: July 04, 2018, 09:21:31 AM
Yes it is possible,...
The best solution is, if you stop trolling with your non-sense logics. Here is an example:

Like there is no chance for the real marlboroza to give you access to his wallets? very convincing sir detective of the year.
Seriously dude!
i.e: If I give my wallet access to someone then that someone will be representing me, my next of kin. S/he can access anything of mine, my bank, my wealth, my property, everything! S/he is ME in other words! I can change the email to my wife's one, I can change the email to my kids one, no one will see anything wrong with that. Do you even realize how stupid it sounded when you said that? I guess, you don't. Most of your logics are kind of same.

He is a piece of suggestion for you: Do something which does not annoy others.

@OP, don't bother digaran, I have full trust in your investigations and I am sure others (most) will have the same.
1714  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Is it possible to understand bitcoin deeply without having an IT background? on: July 04, 2018, 08:50:00 AM
...without having studied computer science.

Do you think it is possible? Has any of you done it?

I think it depends on personal level, do you REALLY want it to know (?), have extensive desire kind of stuffs.

I have a computer engineering degree. Early times in my professional career, I was expert in C/C++, Java, VB/VB.NET, php, ASP.NET and some other computer languages. I have made complex desktop applications and all those sorts of stuffs. I gave up IT profession long ago but still I understand these tech stuffs very well than average joes. But honestly speaking I do not have much idea about the technical side of Bitcoin. I never had this interest at all. I had these times when I thought: ok - that's it! I am going to dig it deep and then again I thought ya screw it LOL. So, still I do not have much idea and I do not feel to learn the technical side either. May be someday I will and then I will figure out that I had it.

My point is, you do not have to study computer science and engineering to understand something these days. You need your interest. Do you find it interesting to break down technical stuffs of bitcoin? Do you find it fascinating when you study the technical stuffs? If yes - then you will find everything online. You just need to know how to find stuffs online and you will figure this out too once you start.

I was never a marketing person as I said my study was computer engineering but I had this extensive desire to become a marketing professional and I turned one without even studying Business studies.

So yes, IT IS possible  Smiley
1715  Economy / Reputation / Re: Tool it may help spot abusers/alts on: July 04, 2018, 08:24:35 AM
I am surprised to see it on the Reputation section. Isn't it more appropriate on the meta section?
1716  Other / Meta / Scam Accusations or Reputation? on: July 03, 2018, 11:20:19 PM
I created this topic (cryptonbets: Unique approach - Just saved $50) on Scam accusations board however the site was not able to scam me. It was an approach only. My topic was more like to warn the community which I believe they will face it sooner or later since the site has not even launched (after looking at the evidence on whois lookup). The reason I am composing this topic is, I guess the topic for cryptonbets fits more in the Reputation board since most of the points I talked about were somehow gives a bad name for the site.

I would need suggestions to pick a right board please. If any mod ends up seeing this then, please feel free to move the cryptonbets topic to the right board. I will then make any change if it needs.

PS: Since I posted the topic on the scam accusations board - I had to follow the rules for the board. As a result you will be seeing the following contents on the bottom of the topic. You can ignore it if you want.

My account being a perfect example here. I had 1000 default merit and I think activity as same as the OP but I did not reach the legendary rank
So, if The Pharmacist is right which is HE is right, in the next 4 weeks or less you are going to celebrate your Legendary rank!!! Congratulations in advance mate.  Smiley

1719  Economy / Scam Accusations / cryptonbets: Unique approach - Just saved $50 on: July 03, 2018, 10:30:43 PM
I never heard of this betting site cryptonbets.com. I wanted to find some information by Googling and failed without any luck except this interesting finding... The domain cryptonbets.com has been created on 01/07/2018 and today when I am composing this topic, the date is 03/07/2018. So it's obvious not to find any reference online. And, clearly someone had this master plan to scam someone else.

Hello, help me to withdraw funds from roulette.
I just won 985 bucks on bitcoin roulette cryptonbets.com
I can not withdraw money because I need a deposit. My friend threw me $ 5 and I won an unreal jackpot. Since you are a trusted person on the forum, I can trust you. I'm ready to give you $ 250. If anything write in the telegram @PlVyZ
The original topic has been deleted by the mod.

I wanted to help the guy and on top of it, if I get extra $250 then no harm right? I landed my hand. We had chat on telegram. The person gave me his credentials so that I can log in and make some deposit and finally withdraw the amount then give him the difference. While we were having chat he won more (Full chat history).

Once I had the credentials then I wanted to familiar with the interface of the site. I started my research and when I could not find anything at all both in Google and in BitcoinTalk forum (at this point I did not have in mind to check the whois lookup for the domain), I did not felt comfortable but I did not gave up yet then.

I wanted to see how the withdrawal works and once I figured out that I will need to deposit minimum $50 then my suspension was getting stronger. I then wanted to chat with the members who were already chatting with each others. I was asking if anyone actually got paid but no answer. Then I decided to gave up because it seems not ok to me. I then informed the person that it does not look good and he can take his account back. I recorded a clip at the end of the conversation so that I can prove myself not guilty in case the person accuse me saying that I took out his money(Video clip)

After everything, I then started to realize that the entire thing was planned. The site does not actually have any user at all. Those chats are auto bots. The approach from the guy was simple, the offer was good so anyone will take a risk of $50 to deposit to get extra $250. Once they make the deposit they actually never get any penny back. The money goes straight to the person's wallet. The entire thing is a wise setup to scam people.

Be aware of this  cryptonbets.com  website.

But Brazil should be a real danger to England.
Without any doubt but let's win this match first.
