1421  Other / Meta / Re: (Latest): List of posts worth receiving merits on: July 24, 2018, 02:27:31 PM
Thank you for the kind words.

but we saw so many average post that get so many merits. on the other hand, very quality post get nothing(max case). Though the Taste is may be different. but My question is do u think current merit system is ok for everyone or do u think it would be modified in some cases?
Meriting a post actually depends on the individuals. No two people will have the same parameter to evaluate a merit worthy post. Some may find a good post worth 1 merit, some may find the same post worth 50 merits, others may think it's not merit worthy at all. I read a good post from seoincorporation I guess - he was categorizing to evaluate a post which seemed standard  to me, although so many will disagree with me and seoincorporation, like I said no two person will have same parameter for justifying a post.

I see LoyceV easily (compliment) send out merits, Jet Cash looks for very high quality (again compliment), I see suchmoon gives out 5 - 7 merits (very generous) when s/he thinks a post is merit worthy, vod also is very generous when it comes to meriting a post. I personally can not afford to give more than one merit.

By the way, these are the members I see everyday so I bought them as examples. There are others as well like TMAN, Welsh, pugman, Foxpup, QuestionAuthority, DarkStar_, OgNasty, The Pharmacist, LFC_Bitcoin even theymos himself etc. It is hard to find that two of them has similar pattern.

Personally I am quite ok with the current outcome although we have seen number of abuses (abuses still exist though but not very high in scale like before). Every system has a system lose and you can not avoid it. Also, anything can be improvised so do the merit system if the admin wants. We have talked about it so many times. Feel free to explore. In summary, the overall Merit system is working wonderful IMO.

Good job. This is more clearer version than the other one. You misled me and possibly others with the earlier one.

Collateral value has to be minimum of 120%
You can escrow the collateral if you want to, at your cost

Any altcoin is currently trading on Binance, Bittrex, Poloniex, Bitfinex only. I will set stop/loss at 110% of your loan amount to ensure I do not risk my capital with small profit. I will ask the escrower to do the same.
I am adding coinex for you since HYDRO (hoping they have stop/loss) is trading on coinex.

You pay all the fees by the way.

Okay. I will escrow the collateral.

I suggest to use DarkStar_ , comparatively his fees are low.

I have contacted zazarb.
No problem as well.

1427  Other / Meta / Re: Copper Accounts on: July 23, 2018, 10:26:32 PM
Does anyone know how many users have aquired one?

I don't know the exact number however this could help...

1. Click members from the menu
2. Click search for members tab
3. Check search by position
4. Type copper
5. Click search

PS: This feature only restricted to 34 pages by the way.
1428  Other / Meta / Re: Calling for a temporary restriction on starting topic in press for some users! on: July 23, 2018, 10:04:44 PM
I sent him a PM.  Maybe he was just not aware of the rules.
This seems to a better approach, a person could really be unaware of the rules. Thanks for the idea (wondering why it did not click in my mind at the first place  Tongue ).
1429  Economy / Services / Re: [btc] FREE ESCROW SERVICE [btc] on: July 23, 2018, 09:44:32 PM
You won't get a negative tag for offering escrow as your own standalone service.
Before I was showing my interest on this topic I had this idea that if I create a standalone service when I do not have some strong position in the community then may be DT will tag me. The reason of thinking like this was this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3730174.0
Offering escrow services and the only trade history and money he has seemingly been trusted with is $50
I did not put focus on the rest though.

If you look at my profile and investigate my time on forum since I started then I could be forgiven for my naive act (I even withdrew my interest  almost immediately after seeing the response from hilari ) especially when I stated...
I am really not sure how the community will react on this thread since I am not near to a legendary or above, not very long with this community and never worked as an escrow before however I will give it a try and I will hope that community will see it as a fair interest since I am attaching my entire career and reputation with it.

I really don't have any idea about this "Marlon Rando offers escrow services with little to no trading history here" (did some google search but could not find any significant information) neither I had any bad intention.

When I am in doubt then I always try to clear my throat. A similar sample you can see here.
  • I am not sure if this kind of activities have anything to do with breaking the forum rules. If it really breaks any forum rule then please some reputable or knowledgeable members in the forum - let me know. Upon few feedback I will lock this topic.
This helps to correct me if I am doing anything wrong coz comparing to you lot, I am still very young on the forum.

But as @OgNasty has stated, it would be more beneficial to establish trust before being able to become a trusted escrow.
Absolutely correct and my understanding was (before) that it's true for a standalone service topic.

Maybe involve yourself in the community with your own projects so you have some "skin in the game" as they say.
Am I not  trying to be a part of the community since I started to understand the forum, question to BTCforJoe. Never mind to answer if you don't want to.
By the way, appreciate your feedback mate.
1430  Other / Meta / Re: [HELP] My account has been hacked. on: July 23, 2018, 09:06:44 PM
I did not stake my bitcoin address while I still had access to my account. But I put my Ethereum address on my profile. Can I sign this as well?
You can try however keep your hopes low.
1. An address on the profile section can be changed by the hacker before you locked the account
2. AFAIK the admin/s prefer BTC address to be signed however they can make an exception if they want.
1431  Other / Meta / Re: Calling for a temporary restriction on starting topic in press for some users! on: July 23, 2018, 08:46:35 PM
I see the frustration in you. Seems like reporting is the only thing we can do. I was sick and tired with a similar case however just checked and noticed the guy (mit_ra) last logged in on July 1st
1432  Other / Meta / Re: [HELP] My account has been hacked. on: July 23, 2018, 08:08:52 PM
This is all you need now: Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords

Additionally, update your OP above with...

1. Profile link of the hacked account
2. Sign the btc address that was used before on the stake your bitcoin address by Tomatocage

Then, show some skills
1. Keep bumping the topic every after 24 hours.
2. Wait patiently

Hey mate,
You will get red tag from the DT members. Have a look on my trust page, you will get idea.

PS: Not sure about your true intention however it won't get count.
1436  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Converting my ETH to BTC on: July 23, 2018, 07:07:05 PM
Is there another better way?

This will be the cheapest way for me:

Create a topic on Currency exchange section.

Topic title: [W] BTC [H] ETH
Body: I would put my terms...

Side Note: I would use an escrow too. This is for the safety for both me and the person who will do the exchange with me.

PS: The transaction fees will be less lower than the exchanges also you would not need to go through any kind of KYC and stuffs.

1437  Other / Meta / Re: Pop up ads really annoying on: July 23, 2018, 06:55:22 PM
There is an pop up ads when im click my mouse in this forum now and its really annoying.  Angry
It's your computer problem. I am pretty sure some malicious program is the reason for this. You may need an antivirus to clean up your computer.

Let me know which browser do you use? I use chrome and if you do the same then this might help: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/stop-pop-ups-chrome

No images showing with legendary account"??

No image for a Full member too. I guess everyone is having this same issue. Something to do with the server overloading?
