Besides Shiba, which in my opinion is not a good long term investment to begin with, I don’t recognize any of your tokens. I would just sell them all.

The only decent Long term holds besides stablecoins are Bitcoin and Ethereum pretty much. The rest I can see becoming worth less. Especially if this bear market is not over yet.
2322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Market Cap Records New Two Month High; Is Correction Over? on: August 13, 2022, 04:18:42 AM
We are rallying because the numbers coming from the fed are positive. Last week we got 0% inflation and the markets rallied. This implies that the bond markets were correct going back to late June in predicting how much the fed will actually hike.

Since crypto follows stocks, this is why we are also rallying. However keep in mind if we get bad news such as surprise hike or high CPI next month then things can quickly reverse.
2323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEW EthereumPoW on: August 13, 2022, 04:14:50 AM
I have a feeling that many miners are waiting and seeing how the profits are when merge happens. Many people probably have no idea what the merge is and others go on a profit calculator site and see that ETC currently makes almost as much as ETH and they think it will be the same after the merge.

Similar to what happened with people with Bitcoin ASICs when the halving happened. Most had no idea why their profits were cut in half.
2324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What will you do in this case on: August 13, 2022, 04:10:48 AM
He probably has different rates depending on time of day. Some places are like that. Basically peak period which is usually in the afternoon and evening has the most expensive rate than say in the middle of the night. In the middle of the night it’s usually very little demand so his bill is cheaper.

There are scripts you can use which can automatically start and stop mining during certain hours. However with ETH going POS you really are better off selling the rig if you can get a good price.
2325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Possible? on: August 12, 2022, 03:23:38 AM
I got rid of this idea because the mobile gpu is faulty but I came across a modification that let you use desktop gpu on a laptop, it's available at a store in China I'm not just sure if it's going to be worth it or not. Thanks for the contributions guys 👍.

Yes this is actually possible and this device was created maybe like 10 years ago however nobody bought it because it would be a hassle to have to carry the device along with the GPU around with a laptop. You might as well get a PC in this case.

Then gaming laptops came out and this device had even less of a market. It also wasn’t cheap and you can only attach one GPU.
2326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Efficiency vs. Hashrate on: August 12, 2022, 03:19:19 AM
With mining you are always better off with less hashrate but more stability. Even if you got free or cheap power or even during a time when ETH is hitting ATH and profits are very large.

If you over clock too much you will most likely get errors, or worst you might get a crash and then you need to reboot or worst you might get a complete freeze which requires taking the power out and doing a cold reboot. Both of these will cost you more money and it’s not worth it. Keep the clocks stable and don’t overclock to the point where you get crashes.
2327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEW EthereumPoW on: August 12, 2022, 03:16:24 AM
Finally we got a confirmed block number for the merge (can’t remember what it is) but it’s going to be on sept 15-16 most likely. So after being launched in 2015 and had a predicted POS of Sumner 2016, it is finally here only 6 years too late. Talk about not meeting deadlines.

Wonder how many people are going to try and offload their GPUs prior to that date. With a little over a month of mining left miners need to decide whether to sell at a decent price now or see how much profits they get on ETC and then decide whether to sell or not.
2328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Grid trading bots. Are they worth it? Please sure your experience. on: August 11, 2022, 02:48:11 AM
The problem with many of these bots is that they only work in either ranging or trending markets. So during a bull run you will see many of these bots in profit. However when the trend settles and it starts to range that is when you are going to experience nothing but losses.

Another issue is the large stop losses they use . They take profit early but hold on to their losers until they get break even. Eventually what will happen is they will end up getting their entire balance drained when the loss becomes too large.
2329  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans’ household debt surpasses $16T for first time on: August 11, 2022, 02:44:31 AM
It’s normal for this figure to go up. Because everything cost more now and obviously people have more debts. But at the same time they are getting paid more to settle these debts.

The credit card balances I never understood because these days many credit card give you points and cash back for using them. So this is why many people only pay by credit card these days. And they have a balance but if it is paid every month then they don’t pay interest. So it shouldn’t be alarming to see this figure go up either.
2330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bye-bye to LHR? on: August 11, 2022, 02:39:32 AM
Yes this is why I prefer AMD who doesn’t perform such tricks. They also had upset gamers but they didn’t release GPUs which hashed slower. Because they knew it wouldn’t of made a difference. New miners bought LHR GPUs anyways and were upset when they started to hash at a lower speed.

But gamers weren’t all over the Nvidia forums and doing nothing but complaining about the shortages and scalping and how they will switch to AMD. So Nvidia responded with LHR.
2331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEW EthereumPoW on: August 11, 2022, 02:32:27 AM
Yes it seems that the large derivative exchange Bitmex has already launched ETHPOW futures and they are currently trading at $70. The spread between the Sept futures and spot price is around $40-50 currently so you have a general idea of how much it will be worth.

I think there will be a big dump at first, trade sideways, then maybe go lower , make people think it’s a dead project and then boom. This is exactly how the Bitcoin cash fork went. Went to like $200-300 and traded downward because people assumed it was dead and then a month later it exploded higher.
2332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Upcoming ethereum forks real or fake on: August 09, 2022, 04:22:24 AM
Well the backwardation for ETH futures seems to be widening more. Bitcoin is basically flat but Ethereum is getting negative. Which means people are hedging their spot position. Seems as we get closer and closer this negative premium will keep growing higher and higher.

What this means is that someone experts there to be an ETHPOW that will be worth something. Or else nobody would be buying all this ETH and holding it for over a month.
2333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bye-bye to LHR? on: August 09, 2022, 04:19:39 AM
I am pretty sure Nvidia will eliminate LHR GPUs since they are not going to run into the out of stocks GPUs due to miners buying them all out. The reason why they did it was because gamers complained to Nvidia that miners were buying all their GPUs and they didn’t want to pay these crazy prices.

Hence why LHR was introduced. However now with mining profits low and Ethereum going POS there won’t be much demand for GPUs in general, so they will get rid of it since it serves no purpose anymore.
2334  Economy / Economics / Re: Recression is here to stay on: August 09, 2022, 04:14:30 AM
We keep hearing the word recession however it doesn’t look like we are in a recession. The job market is very tight, very low unemployment rates and inflation still rising. Everything has been predicting a recession for over a year but are we in a recession yet? Doesn’t seem like it.

Sure the GDP was low for 2 periods however the job market is very hot and people are buying stuff like crazy. Which fuels this inflation.

2335  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Coinbase And BlackRock Deal Send Bitcoin To $773,000? on: August 09, 2022, 04:10:19 AM
No. I am surprised that we keep seeing articles like this being posted. Also wasn’t black rock suppose to allow trading of Bitcoin a while back also? I remember when the news broke it didn’t have a large affect on price.

Right now I think all eyes are on the CPI prints and unemployment numbers. Unless the fed can control inflation and stop increasing interest rates there will be no ATH in crypto or stocks. Last months unemployment numbers are bad when it comes to inflation.
2336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Let's discuss the risks of Ethereum 2.0 on: August 08, 2022, 03:28:59 AM
There won’t be any failures. This is why they have test nets which they fork first to make sure there are no bugs. So you don’t need to worry about this.

The main reason why many don’t want the merge is because they don’t trust POS. Now we are very decentralized with miners everywhere. With POS and especially with the min quantity you need to hold to stake, it means only the wealthy can stake. And this is no different than the legacy financial system we got now.
2337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth could take over BTC or not on: August 08, 2022, 03:26:32 AM
This was discussed for many years. And there was a time in the past before the Segwit fork that ETH came very close to surpassing Bitcoin market cap, however it never actually surpassed. Because Bitcoin agrees to activate the Segwit fork.

Will it surpass sometime in the future? Who knows. It might or might not. Right now there is too much uncertainty especially with the merge fork. And there are always tons of bugs that needs to be worked out.
2338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Upcoming ethereum forks real or fake on: August 08, 2022, 03:21:42 AM
It’s pretty common in crypto for there to be different forks when an important event occurs such as the merge. There was the Bitcoin and bitcoin cash fork. Then the Bitcoin cash and Bitcoin sv fork. Then with Ethereum it was, ETH with ETC and so on.

Since so many miners want to continue making money mining they will try and support the POW fork of ETH. Whether it survives is another question. Whether it has value is also unknown.
2339  Economy / Speculation / Re: MY DAILY BITCOIN TRADING SIGNALS on: August 08, 2022, 03:14:53 AM
Well at least he is not asking for money. And as long as he posts it in advance and not in hindsight then we can see how well he has the 85% winning rate.

I am very sceptical only because he said he had a 85% winning rate which seems impossible really. Unless he has small profits with large losses or he hasn’t traded enough sample size.

People don’t really have difficult it is to even have a 60% win rate let alone 85%.
2340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEW EthereumPoW on: August 07, 2022, 02:47:58 PM
Starting to see backwardation on ETH while BTC is in contango. Usually they are both equal. So this implies that people are starting to hedge for the free post fork coin.

As we get closer and closer to the fork, the spread should widen between ETH spot and ETH futures. And shortly after the merge it should close back down when people close their future short and sell their ETH holdings.
