But don't pay too much attention to my opinion, because I don't really understand the trust system and the long history of this system. Read more, post less, so you can stand by your opinion when you share one.

Many things are handled by trust system that shouldn't be handled. True. But that doesn't mean I can't advocate the correct use of the Trust system. Someone is pissed, they will leave a neutral note with insults on the trust feedback Someone thinks the other one is not writing up to the standard posts, they will write these or that guy is a spammer. I don't mind the neutral tags much. But negative (and positive) lose their value if they're often used incorrectly.

you can easily spend $10,000 to become a reputable member with hundreds of "good" feedbacks. How many scammers have you seen who are willing to spend $10k on their image? By the time they've done that, they have an actual reputation to lose. Anyways I wouldn't trust anonymous individuals with money, no matter what, unless they reveal their ID for the public. An ID from someone in another country won't do you any good.
Let's face it: this idea I posted 4 years ago won't get implemented.

Can you allow access for Tor browsers? I get this: Error: Forbidden Your client does not have permission to get URL / from this server.

Not like website at all. It had login and password much like website. This is slightly confusing.... Something very close to bictoin-core. Bitcoin Core doesn't have a "login", but you can set a password. In this case you'll be looking for a file called wallet.dat, if you don't have it, and don't have a backup, you can't access your Bitcoins. If you could, Bitcoin wouldn't be secure.

it's hard to convince myself, at least at the moment, that theft -- intellectual theft, in this case -- does not fall under the cases when negative feedback can be used. I'm more pragmatic: plagiarism is dealt with by forum rules, and if something is handled by forum rules, it shouldn't be handled by the Trust system. Sadly, it would be no point in reporting those posts, because they are older than 6 months and reports will get (almost) automatically marked as Bad. I've reported old posts, and as long as it's for the right reasons (so not " We generally do not moderate posts this old for on-topicness, substantiveness, multi-posting, and other "cleanliness" issues."), it gets handled. Why care about Bad reports anyway? I think of Bad reports as "proof" I don't only report the obvious cases, but also report the edge cases where the Mod can decide.

Bitcoin is going up, time to resurrect this topic! Unfortunately, imgur.com stopped working on Bitcointalk, so please use TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk now. Even better if you updated your old post in this topic if the image is no longer working. I may delete all "dead" posts in the future, they make it less fun to scroll through this topic.Allow me to highlight this: Please only post embedded images (use [ img] URL.jpg[ /img] tags), with a short explanation.
Self-moderated Please only post embedded images (use img-tags), with a short explanation. If you're a Newbie, you can't post images. If you don't post an image, I'll delete your post.

For what it's worth: I haven't excluded Ratimov, but I don't see his feedback by default. The other users on my Trust list take care of it already. For consistency purposes, to say the least, perhaps you could act now like in TL's case? I try to be very conservative with negative feedback and trust exclusions. I think this is part of what got my my "Switzerland" nickname. Timelord's feedback had been off for years. In this case, I still hope both of you will see you're doing it wrong. That includes your latest negative feedback: I think that one should also be neutral. My reviews will soon be added to your profile and will hang there until you provide evidence that I deceived someone, stole something and what my frauds were. Without providing this evidence, you are 100% a trust abuser who is using negative trust to make false accusations that are not supported by evidence. Again: I think this should still be neutral. Ignore each other and move on with your life. Both of you are still doing the exact opposite of what you should be doing: I encourage people to try to "bury the hatchet" and de-escalate rather than trying to use any increased retaliatory power you now have. because of the spineless nature of DT1 there is basically no recourse. Suggestion: ask theymos to undo your own DT1-exclusion and make your Trust list mean something for voting again it is now clear that he also broke rule 27. Great. Report it. Let the Mods decide. Move on. I'm disappointed that as a non-DT member, DT is increasingly losing credibility with their respective bullshit and reputation fights. That's easy to solve: remove DefaultTrust from your Trust list, and only rely on your personal selection.
If I'd be into playing games, I could come up with something like: "The first one who makes the negative neutral gets on my Trust inclusions list, and the other gets excluded. But, that by itself would be Trust abuse, so I'm not doing that. Either way, this whole thing is still getting out of hand.Which one of you is going to be the bigger man? Be the bigger man! With great power comes great responsibility ( source unknown). Especially when you're on DefaultTrust (or if you want to be on DefaultTrust in the future), you shouldn't (ab)use that power by leaving (negative) feedback when someone does something you don't like. Your Sent feedback is what others use to judge your judgement. If someone on the internet is mean to you: boo fucking hoo! Use the Ignore button, and forget about them.

I have a small question to mprep regarding rule 27: is the automated translation (using an automated translating tool) permitted from a foreign language into English? My interpretation: I've seen people posts translated technical questions, and those people deserve to get all the help they need. It would be bad to ban them from getting Bitcoin related technical help just because they don't speak English.

Loyce...I can send you one NFT from that account to prove it is I Krogothmanhattan I'm quite happy to be able to say I don't have such a thing I like fungibility of money, not the opposite I don't get it though: you've been here almost as long as me. You must have seen this by now: You should never delete a wallet.

I would buy into that. That proves you missed my point

(could not get pywallet to work for me) Have you read [GUIDE] Recover your deleted keys? It's in my bookmarks with the name "use pywallet to search entire partition". This should get you started.

You and @FatFork pointed it out. Even if its called Wrapped Bitcoin - it has nothing to do with Bitcoin itself. Quite the opposite: The reason why Bitcoin came into existence is violated here... Decentralization - hm...not on that chain! I should start selling Loycified Bitcoins, they're worth 1 LB = 1 BTC! I'll hide behind a shell company on the Cayman Islands, and if I disappear, well, let's say I trust myself more than I trust Binance Don't forget they're also using this to hype their centralized made-up shitcoin that's now "worth" $33,316,312,875. In the real world that's enough money to produce 1,000,000 very nice cars, but in crypto, it's just a bubble running on one centralized server.

I don't agree at 100% with LoyceV's view on insults and offensive expressions on the forum, even if I understand his point of view well. Yes, indeed, it is allowed here, and that as adults, we can all manage to get past potential insults on a internet forum. It's a fact, we're not made of sugar and fragile. But this community, this forum, is not a comment page for a random press article on the internet. This is just my personal point of view (I know rules are rules), but members who are DT, in the list of most recognized (and most monetizable indirectly) profiles of the forum, should be exemplary. It took me quite a while too to truely appreciate the freedoms Bitcointalk offers. You'll get there The problem with "offensive" expressions is that it's highly subjective. Some friends call each other the worst things and are still be best friends. To some people, it's just how they talk. Some people (hello Tony from Gold Rush) add "fuck" to every BEEP sentence they BEEPING make. Most people here have different backgrounds and for sure different interpretations. Don't get me wrong: I try not to use rude language, but I also try not to hold it against someone who does. On the other hand, it often says a lot about their character. What would a Romanian Mixtum user have thought when he saw these messages randomly on the forum? Hopefully, he'll realize the guy who posts this has issues. is someone who seems to have trouble managing his emotions/anger really in a position to judge users and try to bring trust to the community? Probably not. But I've seen more users who tag first and think later. Would you care if he didn't - you? Speaking for myself: yes! I've spoken out against several cases that I consider abuse of the Trust system. I can imagine I'd try even harder if the abuse was against my own account. For what it's worth: I haven't excluded Ratimov, but I don't see his feedback by default. The other users on my Trust list take care of it already.

Lost my addy I posted years ago...staking a new one with a signed message as well to confirm i own it You must have some old addy that you can use to prove you're still the same person, right? It doesn't hurt to be thorough when it comes to staking addresses.

No, it's not possible to directly receive Bitcoin on a Binance Coin (BNB) address. You can, however, receive something called "Wrapped Bitcoin", but it is not Bitcoin. If you want to receive Bitcoin, you'll need a Bitcoin wallet on the Bitcoin blockchain. This can't be emphasized enough! Binance has their own agenda to make themselves rich, and it has nothing to do with anything Bitcoin stands for. Be your own bank, keep your own private keys, and don't rely on any third parties! Binance tries really hard to make their customers believe their made-up tokens are Bitcoin. They'll also scam you for BS reasons when it's convenient for them. It's amazing people still use and even trust this website.

I am still processing, how these deals would be taken place at the first place, I mean, ok, hypothetically speaking if I want to buy a account, whom I have to contact, who is the dealer, and why would I not give a red tag to that dealer and all the accounts that I can ask him to show me, so I could think for a second which one is better for me. From what I've seen: the majority of account "sellers" are just scammers, sometimes with a few Newbie accounts "vouching" for them. But I've also seen at least one escrow who handled account sales, so it's still possible. And there are of course Newbies who just PM someone asking to buy their account. Yeah can you imagine me buying an account with this account, not happening ever unless my password was hacked.. I've also seen a post saying: "My account is for sale for 21,000,001 Bitcoin".

Everyone knows that the words that are used for seed phrases are not random. This is where your assumption takes the wrong path. It doesn't matter that the words are not random, the words are only used as a human readable interpretation of a very large random number. So, the number is random, and you use common words to avoid mistakes writing it down. My take on brute-forcing: try it! My "solution" is to tell them to try "hacking" someone else's wallet. Give it your best shot, enter as many of those words into new wallets as your keyboard can handle! Or use software for it, "hack" billions upon billions of seed phrases! The same with private keys: run vanitygen on the rich list for as long as you want. By doing so, maybe you'll convince yourself how secure Bitcoin really is.

Lol. It's always the people who don't have any money making those claims. OP, you know what you should do? Cancel your phone subscription! I pay less than €10 per month, and I don't need a loan for it.
