1361  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V on: December 25, 2023, 06:58:56 AM
When I clicked on send button I surprised to see that address was fully changed.
That's not a clipboard problem, it's something else. Sign offline, or use a hardware wallet if your system is that compromised.
And don't use Metamask Wink
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: This is beyond craziness on: December 24, 2023, 06:54:12 PM
The sad news is that those bots have been created by ordinal scammers.
That's probably why ViaBTC recently changed the captcha. That made their accelerator available again for a couple of days. After that, the bots upgraded their game.
I guess they'll change it again, but probably not during the holidays. If they don't upgrade the captcha, they can just as well end their free accelerator.
1363  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: December 24, 2023, 03:55:14 PM
The original size of my image is 1.33 MB in my PC, but when I successfully uploaded into your hosting image, the size went up to 2.8 MB, not sure why this can happen.
Can I try? I'll also get you a copy at loyce.club/other/tmp/ if you email (<username>alenzuela@gmail) me the image.
1364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: This is beyond craziness on: December 24, 2023, 03:29:45 PM
You have to skip hitting refresh at xx:00.
The moment your clock (assuming laptop or desktop here) shows 1 second you hit free submission.
That's the way I managed to accelerate like 4 tx Monday to Wednesday, 10 seconds later there was no free spot left!
Now, there's no spot left after only 1 second. I tried submitting the captcha at the exact moment, I tried starting at the exact moment. It's all futile.

What's really annoying is that Viabtc right now helps even with ordinals inscriptions, this guy is taking advantage of this and I assume he is using a bot for it, 30 confirms in one go is impossible for a human
That explains why it's impossible now. The captcha stops humans but not bots.
1365  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 24, 2023, 01:31:27 PM
You are breaking freedom and privacy law.
That's not how laws work!

It's been a while since I've seen you (at Rollin)! How's life?

I'm banning your site in my house. Delete my account.
You can delete your posts, but not your accounts.
1366  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Remove Proxyban (evil fees) - email to get whitelisted for free on: December 24, 2023, 01:13:50 PM
The AI chatbot spam has now reached the whitelisting requests. I just had one with 100% AI-crap according to zerogpt.com.
If it's too much effort to write an email by yourself, you should most definitely not join a forum!
1367  Economy / Reputation / Re: GazetaBitcoin and his shenanigans. on: December 24, 2023, 12:12:53 PM
It's time for everyone to start using private notes, which will be erased after reading.
That would be a great feature to add to the forum, with end-to-end encryption so Cloudflare can't read it anymore. But it won't stop people from screenshotting and still posting it.
1368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: This is beyond craziness on: December 24, 2023, 12:06:39 PM
Does it make sense to say that there is a cartel between bitcoin ordinals team and big mining corporations?
Maybe. We'll probably never know. But even if there is, any miner that isn't part of the cartel profits the most.

I can't even use ViaBTC anymore: they're instantly full every hour, and I don't even get to see a number larger than 0 anymore.
1369  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Using "send everything" compromises your privacy? on: December 24, 2023, 09:25:57 AM
I transferred all my Bitcoin in a particular wallet to another wallet and I noticed my privacy score was 60%. I decided to see why it was that low. Blockchair gave the above guidelines
Blockchair's privacy score is BS. I've seen weekly transactions with the same addresses get a 95% score.

That being said: use Coin Control to pick your inputs. Use labels to organize your inputs. Make it a habit to manually select which input to use. If you're okay linking them all together, you can use "send all". With current transaction fees, that may be a bad idea anyway.
1370  Other / Meta / Re: Downloadable topic-database? on: December 24, 2023, 08:59:02 AM
So, please tell me if I'm wrong: you just scrape content with limited data treatment, so the filtering functionalities you offer are the same that the forum offers, i.e. sorting by chronological order, viewing the posts inside a topic and filtering by user.
I don't process anything, I just keep the raw HTML for archiving purposes. Although I also keep a list per user and per topic.

Quote
Ok! I thought by the previous message that you were declining.
I meant ask TryNinja nicely if you want for instance only data from the Economics board.

Quote
But if that's not the case then I'd be super grateful if you shared your database with me to avoid the undesirable task of rescraping the scraped!
I don't have a database. I just have "data". And it's a lot. Hence my question if you know how you're going to handle it. Old posts for instance are stored in a different format, although I may still have a backup of individual files for each post. Update: found it. That's the part where you'll get millions of files in one directory. So you'll have to be a bit more specific before I just dump a shitload of files on you Tongue

Quote
Ninja's website looks handy too. Harder to scrape though.
Don't scrape, ask Tongue
1371  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Should i change my BTC Wallet Address ? on: December 24, 2023, 08:41:38 AM
I have been using this address for some years now
But why? You're using Electrum, which gives you a very long list of new addresses. You can label each of them, to keep track of different payments. Address reuse is bad for privacy, and makes it harder to know where a payment came from. Why would you ever use the same address for different purposes?

* Your address ---> new address ---> new address ---> new address ---> new address ---> exchange address
I don't think that matters for chain analysis, unless funds are joined with other inputs to create multiple outputs. And at the moment it costs a small fortune in transaction fees.

I think the best method would be to have a form of plausible deniability.
They'll ask the next question: "How did you get the funds?". Plausible deniability isn't the same as a plausible answer.
1372  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Signature mixers question on: December 24, 2023, 08:05:05 AM
But let's say you cannot do this until after the 1st when all ulrs will be redacted with some wordfilter, what then?
There may also be a lot of people that find old wallets, look around and find they got them from sign campaigns from 8 years ago for instance, then they see the threads have redacted urls. You sell to buy a house, taxman wants context, what do you provide?
Simply put: that's on you! It's your own responsibilty to keep records, if you can't do that, you'll have to face the taxman. I don't think the forum can be expected to keep records for other people's tax purposes. Blockchain timestamps can support your story.

Quote
In one hand the taxman of your average developed country will always say to declare and provide context
Obviously you need to declare everything, but here, taxman usually doesn't ask for context. But when he does, you have 6 weeks to provide it so you'd better be ready.
1373  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unstoppable wallet {User experiences} on: December 24, 2023, 07:58:11 AM
What can be the issue and how i can resolve this?
I've never used this feature, and in my mind "OP" isn't something you can sell, but here's a guess: it says "network fee N/A", could that be the reason?
1374  Other / Meta / Re: Downloadable topic-database? on: December 24, 2023, 07:55:32 AM
Thanks, btw what do you mean by WYSIWYG? I get what it stands for, and that it's CS slang, but how does it apply here?
I don't know what "CS slang" is, but WYSIWYG stands for What You See Is What You Get. That's literally how my data files are.

Quote
Also, I've seen that your website offers the functionality of showing any given user's messages. Is there an analogous way of filtering messages by board? Like: "showing Economy messages".
Nope. That's TryNinja's specialty. Again: just ask nicely Smiley
1375  Economy / Reputation / Re: GazetaBitcoin and his shenanigans. on: December 24, 2023, 07:49:36 AM
I don't get it: You complain about people sending a PM to "your clients" (and that's not the first time), but when it's convenient for you, you do the same thing!

My only one question. A character like this is good to be in DT?
I don't think someone on DT should publish other people's PMs.

For the record: publishing a PM is not plagiarism. It could be a copyright violation though.
1376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Increase Inbound Liquidity on: December 23, 2023, 10:25:10 PM
Send some LN funds, that moves them to the other side of your channel, and creates the inbound liquidity you need.
Any exchange that accepts LN would work.
1377  Other / Meta / Re: Downloadable topic-database? on: December 23, 2023, 10:10:24 PM
How is your data classified?
See the link you started this topic with. WYSIWYG. Best I can do is a post number.
1378  Other / Meta / Re: Downloadable topic-database? on: December 23, 2023, 08:11:53 PM
I've seen another sentiment analysis, which analysed posts concerning the block size discussion at Fork time. But it's only in my email, I can't find it online.

Have you thought about how you'd handle my data? It's a lot: millions of files, about 100 GB, and most file systems can't handle that many files without many subdirectories.
1379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [Dec 2023] Fees are high, wait for opportunity to Consolidate your small inputs on: December 23, 2023, 06:14:47 PM
But how do you both know that the fees will drop?
We don't. But I've seen it go up and down often enough to expect it again at some point.

Quote
I really don't think fees will drop.
I thought the same in 2017 Wink
1380  Other / Meta / Re: Downloadable topic-database? on: December 23, 2023, 05:23:27 PM
How about you just ask nicely? Wink What do you need, and what's the goal? Or better: will you publish the results on Bitcointalk?
