1321  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - Bitcoin mixer | 50+ BTC in reserves are confirmed! on: December 29, 2023, 03:58:55 PM
I sent 10.6 bitcoins to puremixer
I verified the Letter of Guarantee. Niquoles's claim is correct: he sent 10.6 Bitcoins, and didn't receive anything in return.
1322  Economy / Reputation / Re: Symmetrick/Ratimov - Memorial Thread. on: December 29, 2023, 02:51:47 PM
And another legend passed ...into hero!

Down to 529 posts now. He also wiped all posts that he couldn't delete, and moved all his topics to Archival. He now only has a few posts left that he can't delete or edit. Lol.

Don't forget to delete your browser history Wink

What new changes would you like to see on Bitcointalk in 2024 ?
I'd like to see less useless topics, if you catch my drift.
1324  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - Bitcoin mixer | 50+ BTC in reserves are confirmed! on: December 29, 2023, 02:11:20 PM
Yes, i have the letter of guarantee.
Are you willing to share it with me to verify your claim? If you do, know that Cloudflare can read PMs.
1325  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unstoppable wallet {User experiences} on: December 29, 2023, 10:15:20 AM
My settings: "Tor" and "From Blockchain". I received a small LTC-payment, which even after 11 confirmations didn't show up. When I killed Unstoppable Wallet and restarted it, it rescanned the last transactions and my transaction showed up. That's not how I expect a wallet to work.

I don't know how you call ETH a shitcoin  Huh
Let's see: it's centrally controlled, pre-mined, used to scam millions of people with worthless made-up tokens, and forks when it's convenient for the rich owners. But all of that is off-topic here, so I'll stop.
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Mnemonic words Known and target address known but order missing - Please help on: December 29, 2023, 09:15:53 AM
now i am doubting the genuineness of project i got from my client
~
My client said its a blockchain wallet
Who keeps a hundred million bucks in a web wallet?

he has the 12 words mnemonics but when he is trying to restore the wallet through blockchain its showing error invalid bip39 checksum
Who enters the seed words to his $100M on a website?

I find this very hard to believe.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions about Bitcoin Diamond (BCD). on: December 28, 2023, 09:35:26 PM
@YOSHIE: allow me to bump your topic with a request: do you know a working instant exchanger that can be used to get rid of BCD? I think I used Binance for it years ago, but they're too untrustworthy to go through their KYC demands.
1328  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 will not pay anyone for the last week /Sinbad campaign/ on: December 28, 2023, 08:50:45 PM
How do you know if cash euro bills you are using are not secretly marked by government for tracking money flow?
Lol. They are marked with serial numbers, and I just assume there's some level of tracking already.

Quote
This was used many times in history in different countries with UV ink markings, but more likely they are using some different tech this days.
You mean RFID and NFC? Nothing a Faraday wallet can't stop, until you spend them.

Quote
I even saw several websites and apps for tracking euro bills.
I've seen a site years ago that tracked how banknotes spread through different countries. But none of that matters, as long as your money is fungible.

1330  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: disallowing RBF (replace-by-fee) on: December 28, 2023, 07:00:14 PM
right it's about bitcoin puzzle 66 and 67.
~
no other solution?
It's not really a Bitcoin problem: the real "solution" is of course to create random private keys, instead of using a very limited range. I'd like to see how many addresses get RBFed when the puzzle creator decides to move all funds.
1331  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Signature mixers question on: December 28, 2023, 05:33:28 PM
I use centralized exchanges without KYC, but I transfer a few coins there at a time so that I can answer any request: “Go to hell.”
Do you use those exchanges for fiat transfers? In that case they'll know your bank account details.
1332  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 will not pay anyone for the last week /Sinbad campaign/ on: December 28, 2023, 05:27:55 PM
I think that we either treat each coin equally or this whole concept falls apart. Every coin is potentially originating from criminal activity.
For me, campaign payment coins are clearly tainted.
It's a bit more complicated than that: when I receive cash euros, I don't have to worry about how they were previously used. But if you know the money comes from something illegal, you shouldn't get involved.
Maybe it's a bit like "aiding and abetting": it's totally fine to help someone, unless you know he's involved in a crime.
1333  Economy / Reputation / Re: GazetaBitcoin and his shenanigans. on: December 28, 2023, 09:23:30 AM
They don't exactly receive information from their project managers that 40% of their activity is money laundering or something like that. After all, why would someone share that kind of information to their advertisers?
If (and I'm speculating here) Sinbad was created by a bad actor looking for privacy minded people to exchange their illicit funds, it could very well be 100% of the signature payments came from the wrong side of the law.

End-to-end encryption already exists, it's literally PGP but nobody uses it:
PGP isn't very convenient to use. And it won't stop the receiver from publishing the message.
1334  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov aka Symmetrick be in DT1? on: December 28, 2023, 09:18:31 AM
I believe that it was he himself who, after his death, has seen fit to come to the forum to give us the bad news.
I'm very curious to know which internet provider he uses up there Tongue

Middle-mouse button on the Delete button can be a lot faster than that.
That seems powerful and dangerous at the same time.
Wait until you use it on the Delete button instead of the Merit button in a self-moderated topic Sad
1335  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: December 28, 2023, 08:54:46 AM
Also these days I guess even 5MB images won’t hurt anyone.
I don't really see the point. The largest image I have posted, is still under 2 MB. There's no point embedding larger images. If you really need a higher resolution, add a link.

I can try asking @theymos to adjust the image proxy to 3MB, which would even give more freedom.  Roll Eyes
That doesn't help. I forgot why you increased the limit from 2.5 MB to 3 MB, but this image should have been 1.4 MB so none of this is a solution.
1336  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Signature mixers question on: December 28, 2023, 08:43:01 AM
You don't pay taxes until you "cash out" your bitcoins into the appropriate fiat currency.

So Bitcoin transactions don't have to be declared.
That depends on where you live. Here, all earnings must be reported, and there's an annual wealth tax. I really live in the wrong country Sad

Quote
Deposits and withdrawals do have to be declared (i.e. how much BTC you bought and sold).
We don't have a capital gains tax, so I don't have to report any of this.
1337  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Signature mixers question on: December 28, 2023, 06:34:45 AM
Have you ever encountered the compliance procedure of crypto exchanges?
Yes.

Quote
Do you know how many basic questions you will be asked at the beginning and how many additional ones?
I got one question. In short: "explain the origin".

Quote
This procedure can only be completed if the coins were purchased legally on a large exchange; in other cases this is very difficult to do.
It wasn't difficult, but it's annoying. I hate how governments force companies to spy on customers.
1338  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov aka Symmetrick be in DT1? on: December 28, 2023, 06:22:45 AM
Where did the rumours about him being dead originate?
From himself.

Explain to me how you can delete your posts so quickly?
~
9 messages in 24 seconds..
Middle-mouse button on the Delete button can be a lot faster than that.
1339  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: December 27, 2023, 07:20:55 PM
It really doesn't make sense, sometimes the way the image was originally compressed can cause this type of problem.
Does that mean you're changing the encoding of images by default? I'd say you shouldn't do anything to the image, unless the user requests for a compression change.
1340  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: December 27, 2023, 07:09:46 PM
At the moment I have TalkImg configured for uploads of up to 3MB, but the forum only accepts up to 2.5MB.
The image is 1403233 bytes. Somehow the upload to you server doubles it. Can you check if it's exactly double the size? Something weird is happening during upload.
