Only working bios for this card is Sapphire.RX580.8192.170324.rom other failed to either failed to flash or give black screen.
I've tried all the bios from techpowerup.com for Sapphire RX 580 8GB Pulse.
For Windows, there is a simple solution for video cards with the original bios. Hello, I bought Sapphire RX 580 Pulse and it worked fine before, after changing the bios it started behaving abnormally. I reverted the bios from the backup I took and it still not working or mining. RX580 seems to be okay and it's in pretty new condition. I am encountering some errors during installation and after, which might help understanding the situation better. The Radeon has always been somewhat cheaper compared to Nvidia and I think this will be the case again with 7000 series,the real question is how much cheaper will it be?If it can be less than 1000 EUR and offer a great performance both in gaming,rendering and mining then I am convinced this card price will attract every mentioned category here,gamers,architects and miners.The smart miners are the ones who continue mining ETHW right now which Binance created a pool for mining it. The price of RTX 4090 is not at all appealing so most likely it will be a war won by the 7000 series of AMD. So I am a stupid miner  , because with my tariff of 5 cents per kilowatt, mining the ETHW coin is unprofitable. It’s more profitable for me to buy ETHW for a few hundred dollars that I pay for electricity and spend on maintenance, and wait for the price to rise. |

With profitability being so low and prices near the bottom, I think for those who purchased their GPUs with crypto, the best move is probably to sell them now for crypto and hope that you received more back than you spent. Mining at a loss in 2018 for me proved the right thing to do,sure I could have bought the amount of crypto I got but that would have removed the fun of managing rigs and of course a bought coin is much more easy to fall prey to sell it rather than keeping it,so in this context it is always better to mine at a loss rather than buying crypto even in bear market like this one. People who are in the above situations if they have relatively cheap electricity price should mine at a loss and even put money from their own pocket to keep the operations going because after some time when the next bull run will hit us these very same persons will be in a huge advantage. I wish everyone that,and for me the 0.50 Bitcoin made in 2018 I sold at February 2021 near 60.000K a coin which brought me huge profits,I know the same situation will repeat and that is why I am turning the rigs online again now that the government retired from 5x energy price increase after massive online protests which would normally go even in the main square of the city if the government didn't stop. Why engage in mining at a loss? If you can use the money to pay for electricity to buy more coins. Repair of the cooling system of modern video cards is also expensive.
