2341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we to expect another altcoin bloodbath before SegWit2x? on: October 31, 2017, 04:46:11 AM
I'm really tired of missing the opportunities of selling alts and then buying them cheap with bloated BTC.
Do you guys think there will be a similar situation with SegWit2x as it was with SegWit and Bitcoin Gold?
I think so, as you can see some people are saying about the rumour the next airdrop from the bitcoin itself, and a lot of people are accumulating right now to get the free airdrop coin from hold their bitcoin in those services are will be supporting the b2x coin in the future. I just believe the similar situation will be repeating again.
The time will tell you about that. At the middle of the next month.
2342  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining - Legit or not? on: October 30, 2017, 09:01:21 AM
I saw a YouTube video of someone using this site - https://www.genesis-mining.com

Then I thought it looked easy and fun. But I have never heard of this Cloud Mining, thing.
I know of big supercomputers to thousands and thousands of dollars, for mining cryptocurrency.
Or a very slow and "useless" process on your own laptop computer.

Is this legit? Is it worth it? Anyone here with a Genesis or any other similiar provider experience?

Pros and cons, etc... ?
It is not a legit site, many people knows about the fact that the genesis already turned into the shady behavior in this time. as you can see in some recent articles about the genesis mining review. A lot of users of genesis mining itself gets a lot of problem with it. You will never meet your roi.
The real thing about genesis mining will never give a profit for your investment. They are taking your investment just a free loan and that gives you back again later. I meant about your first amount.
You will never meet your roi through invest in there and i reccomend you to stay away.
2343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta unstable platform on: October 30, 2017, 03:00:25 AM
I personally wouldn't recommend anyone use etherdelta if you using it for big amount of money use at your own risk, the site is extremely unstable, orders get stuck , sells gets stuck, buy orders get stuck and just vanish without a trace.... Nothing seem to ever work correctly. Owner of site has not fixed any of those issues. The platform is a traders nightmare...
Have tried to get some suggestion to use etherdeltaexchange site?I meant have you checked your gas amount? Does it reliable to make each transaction in etherdelta? And how long you are getting this problem?
Because the etherdelta is decentralized and the order list will be random. Someone be able to make very high price order and otherwise.
But i think that your problem was in your gas limit or amount. Have you tried to increase your gas before?
Please you can do that.
2344  Economy / Economics / Re: Legalizing Bitcoin on: October 30, 2017, 02:52:38 AM
An interesting discussion.
Basically, bitcoin exists because of the individual's desire to create his own bank, which the bank can do for transactions and the similar.
However, as popularity progresses, bitcoins have been miss used, including money laundry, drugs dealing, etc.
The government will find it difficult to track offenders in this transaction.
So the government has only 2 options, let bitcoin exist in the country or banned existence of bitcoin itself.
Manage your financial economyc, So the crypto absed on the decentralized economic and that's the advantage by use the crypto. But as the bank is centralized and the crypto system will against the bank system.
Bitcoin can't be banned by the way. That will be useless to ban the bitcoin because the network of bitcoin runs by the nodes around the world. Another important thing about just like china still do offline trade.
And the bitcoin will be existing in the future.
2345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The biggest opportunity of 2017, ETP Metaverse to become a new Chinese Ethereum on: October 30, 2017, 02:49:49 AM
0.01 in the future

0.01 BTC per 1 ETP ?
or what ?
Please, don't take it seriously. That just another random speculation but if i was seeing about the recent grown from the neo and that is possible in my opinion about metaverse will worth a lot.

I don't know howmany of these China ICO will be their own Ethereum, Qtum, NEO and now ETP. I think most people are overestimating the potentials of most of these projects because to me most of them will amount to nothing
A lot of the recent platform that already made in the chinese claimed to be the chinese version of ethereum itself, But they are all against the china rules. And so their claim will be fake or worthless.
Just like RPX moves to overseas to encourage the western investors.
2346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO & Tokens are legit to invest? on: October 29, 2017, 10:47:58 PM
Hi,

I have about $3000 to invest in Bitcoin Projects. I see so many tokens & ico projects here.
As Newbie, I am not sure how does it work?

Can some bitcoiner guide me in right direction?

Thank you
Hi, you can try to invest in the spectre, you should visit the main thread and try to do your own research about the spectre project. It seems to be a decent plat for you because as you can see a lot of the exchange site based project is a really interesting thing. A lot of them have very good performance compared with another ico at the end of the result after the token already listed on the exchange site.
This time the ico already collected more than 16k ethereum at the pre-sale.

2347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What scares them the most? on: October 29, 2017, 10:40:41 PM
What are some of the reasons you've heard from people as to why they're afraid of cryptos?
You can see it in so many articles in the crypto related news site. As per the previous month just like Jamie Dimon's said that gives you an answer about the reason that makes people are scaring with crypto.
The possibility of the fraud system, Easy to run a Ponzi scheme or game just like bitconnect, and another technical reason just like a lot of phishing site from the hackers or if you're forgetting your key and you lost everything in crypto I meant about the private key.

2349  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC hit $5600+ on: October 14, 2017, 11:16:25 PM
BTC is huge increase $5600+
i have 3BTC now what can i do SELL or HOLD?
Please suggest me
your best recommended drop below

I'd say sell half and then hold the rest.

I believe that price could reach upwards of $6.5k by the time the hard fork comes, but directly before the hard fork there could be an adjustment that takes price in a downwards spiral. So to be safe, cash out half, and hold the other half for more profit.

Don't get greedy and hold all, unrealized profits are not profits at all.
If you guys realize that the bitcoin price is just increasing overtime then why selling, you can see the graph, and it's proven that bitcoin always increasing, some people says that it's bitcoin bubble but hey lets see, the real value of bitcoin is not thousands dollars but hundred thousands dollars! well, that's a bit too optimistic but lets hope for it.
2350  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC to 7k before fork? on: October 14, 2017, 11:08:42 PM
Do you think we can go beyond 7k before hardfork? Smiley
No, that is too high especially if consider the fact that bitcoin gold is not really that big, bitcoin cash was a lot bigger and it had some small support from some community members while bitcoin cash does not seem to have any support at all so I think we are going to see 6k at best.
People are hyped by the bitcoin gold airdrop even if you say that bitcoin gold is not really big and not as big as bitcoin cash, I know right that bitcoin cash have a whale and backers behind it and bitcoin gold is none, it seem to likely make people earning free money out of this HF so it's fine. they're still going to grab some bitcoin for this HF.
2351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoins taxable? on: October 14, 2017, 10:57:21 PM
Bitcoin taxes are like capital gain taxes, at least in my country. I need to pay 24% taxes from the moment I cash out any Cryptocurrency gains. Depends on your country though, just ask your local tax authority as I did.
Government authorities on our country isn't imposing tax to any bitcoin holders. Vey often that we pay any charges when we make transactions but not considered as tax, it is a service fees only. Because as far as I know, if you declared all your owned assets including btc to the government, then it could be included during their calculation on how much  tax you gonna pay for the overall amount. If not the, it will be free from any charges.
Yes I agree with you. The government has not yet made a tax code for Bitcoin they just put it into income tax. Wink
That's the only way they can do, your earning from bitcoin will be considered as an income and therefore eligible to be taxed, but, government can't tax bitcoin, they have no control over it.
and also, there's tax for local exchange company.
2352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Ever Be Shutdown? on: October 13, 2017, 12:33:43 PM
Well, no electricity, and no internet connection would kill BTC for sure! You wouldn't be able to make any transactions without these.
Other issue can be all the countries in the world ban BTC, but this will not restrict it's circulation, as no internet connection do!
not just bitcoins that die if the electricity is turned off and the internet network removed. even the world will become chaotic, bitcoin will actually live even if electricity and internet die but access to use bitcoin missing, yaa this is actually our fear all, because I am sure 80% in this forum only have income through forum
Bitcoin still exist, but it'll completely make bitcoin stopped or can't active. all the hashpower is gone, none of transaction will be confirmed, even sending transaction is impossible, that mean in practical use, once internet destroyed, bitcoin will be gone.
2353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Wish I never bought altcoins on: October 13, 2017, 12:28:24 PM
So many bears in here. That feels like alt bottom is near to me. I have bought a lot of altcoins today.
You just made a wrong movement it seems, the wisest time to buy altcoin is when the hardfork is about to start, people will trying to dump their altcoins so hard that all will probably red and you'll get cheap altcoins, and then after that event ended, you will earn ez money just for holding few weeks. atleats thats my thought.
2354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH on it's way on: October 13, 2017, 11:59:09 AM
ETH just might make it as big as bitcoin in the future, being known as much as btc. Will ETH make it's way in the upcoming years despite the price being around 350-400$.  ETH just may surpass btc in the market trading with bigger companies and bigger investors.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/recent-ethereum-upgrade-may-make-wall-street-fall-in-love-with-blockchain
yes ethereum still has a bright future, just look at the price is still stable,
but the btc price dropped dramatically
the price looks stable if you see from its value to dollar but how about its value to bitcoin, it's dropped so much, ethereum can't bear the overwhelming effect of bitcoin price pump due to upcoming hardfork so ethereum right now is not stable at all if you judge from the perspective of altcoins holders not fiat owners.
2355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still believe in ICO ? on: October 13, 2017, 11:56:14 AM
Most of these companies didn't deserve half the money they raised. But it's an essential step in the evolution towards mass adoption
Maybe, some of them raised too much money for a project that actually need a little money to start but the money still can be used to boost the growth of the company so there's no such thing as "the companies didn't deserve the money". they raise that much money because people think they deserve and that's the point here.
2356  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ladies and gentleman we are now at $5,000 on: October 12, 2017, 09:06:36 AM
Now we just have to hope that November fork goes smoothly (in either direction) and doesn't crash the price Smiley

I don’t know whether this has to do with November fork, some people say so. Before last fork we had a bearish market and after the fork all fear disappeared, we reached ath and time has proved that bitcoin cash is no enemy for btc so it is plausible that people expect this fork to push btc up to the moon.

Btc market cap currently 53% after being quite a while under 50% so the picture looks nice.

The past fork is really different with this one, people have known that after fork everyone will get their free money and also bitcoin have a big chance to be pumped and reach new ATH for the 2nd time.
so, people want to repeat to get free money again this time and thats why the demand is increasing so high.
2357  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another Bitcoin fork on 25 October on: October 12, 2017, 08:55:18 AM
The fork, which will be on November 25th, affects bitcoin prices positively. People sell altcoins and buy bitcoins. At this point, the price of bitcoin passes 5000 dollars.
True, all these altcoins gets dumped so hard, the 24h volume significantly decreasing, people are migrating their money to the promising bitcoin with free money called bitcoin gold.
Even though this event will just temporary untill all the bitcoin gold distributed, the altcoins will get pumped again soon after 25 october.
2358  Economy / Speculation / Re: $5000 is already breached on: October 12, 2017, 08:52:46 AM
When bitcoin passed $5000 barriers, and then $5800 is such an easy point for bitcoin to go, there might be some correction happened in the future but won't dump bitcoin as hard as when bitcoin gets temporarily banned by china, and now bitcoin is going to $6K guys, brace yourself. it's just matter of time
2359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can hit 5000$ before november?? on: October 11, 2017, 12:57:00 PM
At the rate it is going, i think it will hit the 5000$ this november. Today's range 4764.12 -4828.97. It  an even reach to s maximum of  5110$ by november 9 but will slow down at 4610 by 4619 according to prediction.

Yeah I honestly think so, the price is just so close with $5000 or even this october, bitcoin will succesfulyl hit $5000 as our new ATH and see whether bitcoin could break to $6000 at the end of november.
But, I don't agree with your prediction, what's the reason of your statement that said bitcoin price will become $4610 again?
2360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best and safest way to store passwords? on: October 11, 2017, 12:54:53 PM
Don't trust any software for passwords. You can try to write them to paper. Yes its a old style but its the safest way to store passwords for big amount of money.
Ledger is suggesting to store seed to paper too Smiley
I think so! Only you known passwords is the best! Write in your brain or write to some where!
agree with that also we cant trust the software to store our password it is much better if you are more secured on all of your password like it has a copy on all either in notebook for your safety.
In the depth of my brain, I always thought what's the point of using all these password storing software, it seem that this kind of software just can be very harmful to its user, once the company goes nuts and sell all their client's data then so many people doomed, and yeah, I agree with you, never use password storing software.
But also, saving your password in notebook is not safety, try to safe it on raspberry pi, flashdisk, external hardisk, or something else.
