2361  Economy / Gambling / Re: risk of kyc on crypto casinos ? on: June 19, 2022, 11:54:37 PM
It's not a risk for some casinos (probably), but the majority of them has it in their terms and conditions. Most of them don't specifically ask for it upon signing up though BUT they do "reserve" the right to ask for KYC whenever they want. This "whenever" is literally that since you can't really identify whether something really happened or their random "sussy" detector just somehow managed to actually hit you for no actual reason.   Well most of the time KYC happens if you win big or VPN was detected so just don't do those if you don't want KYC.
2362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rakeback and promotions for limited time on: June 19, 2022, 09:59:29 AM
For me, its never bad to take advantage if there are rakeback or cashback promoted by some casinos but its certainly based on the gambler's desire itself. Honestly, sometimes i get tempted to it but i realized its not me profiting in the end but only the casino itself. So i started not to grab these promotion and just gamble based on my set amount. That way, i have minimized my losses as i also gamble not only for money but more on for entertainment. The fact that i'm entertained, that is already something profitable for me.
Yes it's not really wrong to use it since it's there and you don't really need to do anything else since you're already doing the requirements for cashback (aka put more money to play with) but actively trying to take advantage of it by putting in more money is the wrong part. It's just dumb. Simple math would provide you the idea of you spending more to get a penny or two back so it isn't something one should actively chase or spend for, but rather just a nice thing to have. It's the kind of thing where it wouldn't really change if it was there or not, hence exactly why casinos do it or implement it.
2363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Bitcoin Disappointed You ? on: June 18, 2022, 01:47:36 PM
Not really no. I mean I experienced way worse in my early days, especially the dip when covid started which basically made me lose a LOT since I just exited the market rather dumbly in the middle of the drop-off. Managed to get some of it back. After that, I just decided to DCA my way into trading and stopped thinking about the market price at every single moment. I've moved my mindset from seeing dumps like this to something natural instead and I just let it fly by my head. Not that I ignore it, but rather even if I panic, nothing's gonna change how the market moves right now.
2364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bonus abuse or matched betting? What do you think about? on: June 18, 2022, 01:05:29 PM
I think match betting is much more okay or rather legal compared to bonus abuse? Match betting takes quite a lot of work and time to be able to even see the results, and afaik it's effectiveness also drops over time right? I'm not too familiar with the TOS with regards to bonus abuses or match betting though I think if you consider it, bonus abuse needs you to make multiple accounts which is already banned by casinos afaik so that already shows how it's wrong.
2365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk sued for 258 billion USD over alleged Dogecoin pyramid scheme. on: June 18, 2022, 12:29:18 PM
It's clowns leaving their circus I suppose. I guess after their ringmaster (Elon) stopped paying attention to them they started to riot. This is just a dumb lawsuit that would probably be dropped immediately since it's basically a situation where people want to blame someone cause they're, well, dumb. It's like making you blame your landlord for being unable to make you rich. Makes no sense right? Same thing with the lawsuit imo. They probably need to go back to understanding what trading and crypto are in the first place before anything else imo.

Though I kind of get their side/point, it's also their fault for entering the room without reading the rules posted outside of it.
2366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8 months low, no better time than now. on: June 18, 2022, 08:58:27 AM
Currently entering the 7th month of ATH happening in Bitcoin prices continue to run below, with the high market cap that occurs in Crypto creating a lot of panic in various sectors which has an impact on Crypto price developments, then will crypto movements this year continue to experience a bearish market? Isn't now the best time to buy BTC at the current price? Because I have a good feeling if we are optimistic the price will bounce back.

Well if you think that we are in the bottom or near bottom then buy it the current price. Personally, I think the price could still go down, however, you wouldn't lose a sleep for buying at today's price of $20,400.

I don't think this is an issue to Bitcoin, we have heard this before and not that it will cause the death of BTC. We are in the bear market and it's bound for the price to plummet.
It's probably still going to go down. It going below $20k was probably a big FUD for investors, probably even those that have held on relatively well after Bitcoin went down from its ATH. I was relatively hopeful that it'd bounce back after that big dump from $30k to $20k (It's at $19k right now afaik) but it's still going down even now so I wouldn't be surprised if we touch $15k, so might be better to hold off those buying hands. Just hold it though and wait, we're bound to see a bullish trend sooner or later.
2367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Going To Fall Below The Previous 20k ATH possible? on: June 18, 2022, 04:40:42 AM
It's not impossible. I'd say it wouldn't be likely to fall anymore since we had a huge drop, but that's probably just me in copium since if it was actually what I imagined, we'd see a bit of recovery at least to $23k or $24k and yet we're still hanging around $20 right now, or maybe I'm just rushing it and we'd see it after a few more days. Bitcoin is just that volatile though, big drops are something natural especially if fud gets to newbie investors.

Just keep the hodl up.
2368  Economy / Gambling / Re: around 1.6 billion people worldwide gamble, What about a poker gamefi?? on: June 18, 2022, 12:54:26 AM
Gamefi is that p2e kind of stuff right? I'm pretty sure NFT's have been integrated into some casinos so that it gives gamblers some sort of Rakeback or advantages, rollbit has it afaik and there are probably a few more out there that have it. There's also been an NFT slots idea iirc? Outside of that, I don't think you can turn Gamefi anymore without breaking the luck factor involved. It also doesn't really suit the model of gambling imo, not unless casinos are able to create a new game outside of the usual ones we have.

On a side note, download count only says one side of the story, maybe add daily user count if possible?
2369  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible that all cryptocurrency will become regulated? on: June 17, 2022, 05:17:35 PM
It isn't impossible and most likely what will happen if we wish for adoption tbh. There's a reason why fiat still stands even though a lot of people have been saying that inflation has pretty much ruined it. It's not a negative thing, it just controls what crypto originally is, or limits its original capacity. And tbf, even if all users were to be against crypto regulation, they still hold the power to make stores, services, or businesses in general to regulate crypto that comes in or outright not allow it.

Not to mention how most of the people entering crypto themselves are using centralized exchanges.
2370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge coin in trouble? on: June 17, 2022, 03:01:59 PM
Maybe it's time I blame my landlord for giving me a room that doesn't make me win the lottery  Angry . Kidding aside, it's dumb to blame someone for dumb investment stuff that we did. Did Elon even specifically say in one of his tweets that he wanted people to buy DogeCoin since it's a good investment even? I don't really follow him so I'm not sure, but I am familiar with him saying that they accept Doge and it was better as a payment compared to Bitcoin.

Well I don't think Doge or Elon would get in trouble here, investing in the crypto market is all about taking the risk to your own. Heck they wouldn't be complaining now if Elon indeed manipulated the market and they profited now would they.
2371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The digital ID for Gambling on: June 17, 2022, 01:07:57 PM
The idea honestly looks good, but I still think it wouldn't really last. It might be for the checking identities and all of that, but said measures have already been taken in the past and nothing has really changed imo.  Underaged gambling is still possible and the first and foremost goal of these kinds of policies is to pretty much ensure that they get the money (aka taxes) from gamblers.

These are taxes and control. I am against taxes (only casinos should pay them, not players) and even more so I am against control. But it is natural that the government has directly opposite interests. By the way, it will be interesting to see how quickly these digital IDs will leak and be sold on black markets  Grin
True that. These kinds of methods not only serve to well, avoid the issue they were supposed to actually fix, they just give more control to the government and add more excuses for them to get the data of users and tax them more. Basically moving in a more centralized way. I'm not actually fully against it, it's just that the method they employ right now is only serving their pockets and not really us users. Not to mention, as you have said, their security that can barely be called one imo.
2372  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Enter the market with a loss mindset~what you can afford to lose on: June 17, 2022, 06:37:38 AM
Agree! People who are new to trading tend to see ATH's as buy opportunities and Dips as sell opportunities and oh boy was that the complete opposite. I felt so stupid when I realized how dumb the "trading" I've done ever since I started. Additionally trying to identify the bottom is like looking for a needle in a haystack, it's like a wild goose chase. It's also why I transferred to DCA'ing instead of trading, it's a load off of my mind so that I can stop thinking even when dumps like this happen.

It also helps how I honestly just expect to lose the money I invested.
2373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom For Bitcoin? on: June 17, 2022, 12:40:12 AM
I'm assuming the "Best" Time to invest in your opinion is when you can maximize the bottom? Then I suggest giving up, that's almost impossible to predict, if not impossible. It's also going to make you simply miss out on the investment opportunity if you keep looking for the "Best" time, I suggest just going in on dips, especially big ones like the one we have right now. If you're afraid of putting it all in, then just go DCA or invest in other types of assets such as stocks/land. I recommend DCA more though, up or down you're still investing which is a lot easier and less stress.
2374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Phil Mickelson Opens Up About Losing MILLIONS From Gambling on: June 16, 2022, 01:17:34 PM
Wellllll I don't really think the amount matters here as long as he can handle it (which seems like he actually can, for now, anw). I do hope therapy helps at least to some degree since I know some cases with my friends where therapies did jack on helping them actually move on. Especially if we consider how his wealth isn't exactly going to infinitely increase so losing millions continuously isn't really anything good. I do wonder if he has a tally of his winnings or at least the ratio of W/L since I'm curious whether he's really just unlucky about losing on matches he bet big or he just loses a majority of his bets.
2375  Economy / Economics / Re: Apple wants to replace all passwords with biometrics on: June 16, 2022, 05:55:03 AM
This technically combats methods to crack passwords such as Bruteforcing, Rainbowattacks, and methods similar to it, but I don't think it prevents phishing/malware. From what I read said passkeys would store the biometric data in the devices themselves and not a server, so hackers can technically get said data right? I guess the idea is worth it if it prevents part of the methods that are used to steal the passwords of others but I think new issues are created like others have said which is you can't exactly change your biometrics.

2376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bonus Abuse: Who is to Blame? on: June 16, 2022, 12:37:59 AM
Don't these online gambling operators anticipate these frauds while building their websites? Why don't they invest in a robust fraud detection system before the fraud happens and not after?
I ask again who is to blame for the increase in bonus abuse, the customers/fraudsters or the online gambling operators?
For the first question, it's possibly because they don't want any innocent users to get hit by their fraud detection system. That would cause possibly a LOT more issues in the long run compared to letting some users take advantage of their bonuses. Though afaik bonuses have a set limit e.g., a set amount of withdrawal before being able to withdraw (not including the ones from the bonuses) so I don't think they lose out that much?or rather they just aren't able to maximize their profits.

Ofc the ones to blame are the fraudsters. No way in hell is there a world where the act of scamming/taking advantage of a loophole is the right thing to do.
2377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Problem, Is it Possible to be a Thing of the Past? on: June 15, 2022, 12:22:36 PM
The issue of multiple gambling sites could be fixed if there was a central organization that could take hold of all the gambling industries licensed out there and if the said organization was to properly enforce proper rules and laws so that unlicensed casinos wouldn't be able to work. I honestly think it isn't impossible for a said organization to be developed, just that it could take a LOT of time since there are a few conflicts that may come to play such as religion.

A different part of the problem would be an addiction, now this really all boils down to the player themselves. It's like how developed systems or websites always have loopholes or bugs, you can't indefinitely remove a problem imo, unless you completely remove the activity that causes the problem, in this case, gambling.
2378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bill prohibiting crypto currency as means of payment on review. on: June 15, 2022, 04:28:02 AM
To be fair, even if crypto payments were to be banned nothing would exactly change since payments done in crypto is very minimal, only a small percent of crypto owners have probably tried it. Not to mention that said scenarios are probably online payments where time isn't really an issue since, well, it's online. Compare that to scenarios such as paying in restaurants, grocery stores, or small stores. I won't even deny them of doing this, crypto as a payment seems impossible due to volatility and the time issue right now. But hey, time will tell if it would be able to become one later on (and by later I mean really later).
2379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: June 15, 2022, 01:18:43 AM
Hmm, legally I don't actually think he did anything wrong cause afaik there isn't any kind of law that, well, tells you to return back something you got accidentally or not. If I'm wrong then feel free to correct me though. Morally, what he did was really wrong. I mean if it was a few bucks then maybe, yeah I guess I'd take it (don't call me on that), but if it was THAT big of an amount? Heck, I'd think something was wrong and try to contact the bank to ask who sent it or what the actual hell happened.

I have to say whoever sent the funds should also be accountable though.
2380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you Considered a Career in Betting Consultancy? on: June 14, 2022, 01:35:10 PM
There'd only really be a small number of people who could get into it imo. In the first place reputation is the first and foremost thing you have to build up here and that's something really difficult imo without any type of big connections. After than, you're only customer base would probably come from bigshots, and seeing as they'd probably be pretty low on number compared to the number of consultants, well, it'd probably be a tight competition. I myself haven't really wanted to do it nor have I ever thought of it, but just thinking about it already gives me a headache on how to even start off with it.
