1361  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 05, 2023, 02:12:24 PM
I'd only ever consider borrowing money to pay my initial debt if the situation was another emergency, e.g. emergency 1 you borrow money, then emergency 2 comes while you're still paying for emergency 1. Ofc if negotiations about trying to extend the duration is possible, then go do so, otherwise, it may be time to increase the number of sources of income you can get. If possible as well, go to the family if needed, at the very least, the time limit for paying them should be much longer compared to banks (but don't pressure them into giving you, if they can help, then they can, if they can't, then just leave it).

Best case scenario is just to never go under debt really, but life ain't that easy for some of us.
1362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake paid promotions on Twitter on: February 05, 2023, 01:37:14 PM
Simply why you should never use social media as the final decision-maker for your investing decisions. Yes, you can refer to social media to see and look up "popular" investments, but you should still take the damn time to actually research and understand what the hell you're investing in. This is why I never have my social media follow stuff like this, I just use official news channels and random forums where I don't bloody know who the hell I'm talking with so that I can take the time to research myself even with their recommendation.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anyone tell me what is the best way to gamble w/ BTC on online casinos? on: February 05, 2023, 06:08:59 AM
There's really no big advantage of using BTC in casinos, it's more like the usual difference between using fiat and using crypto, nothing more there. Anonymity is there but the majority of the well-known casinos do ask for KYC in the end, so take note. There are some that don't though no matter what afaik (like freebitco). Same with the casinos that strictly use them I reckon, except maybe a few specific casino games here and there, but nothing you won't find as well in other casinos.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CBDC and Regulation discussion on: February 04, 2023, 04:47:39 PM
How can the government make sure that something like FTX (cooperate finance enriching themselves) never happened again? Crypto is presently not regulated and I don't see how regulation will fix this issue, my concern is the CBDC, I think it will work better as the real Stable coin, unlike Luna UST that team claimed was back by dollar but was not backed by anything... Wouldn't CBDC fixed this issue of fake USD backed stable coins?

You as a crypto adopter would you like to use CBDC if the pairs are available on all crypto exchanges as a way to store yourself some digital US Dollar?
They can't, simple as that. If they were able to I reckon they would've been able to stop any sort of scam possible after a short while. Even asking them to be perfectly public about their transactions can simply be solved by bribing whoever receives it and checks said transactions, that's just politics.

As for CBDC, well, thing is, that's just fiat but online. I don't see anything it can actually fix whatsoever since it's just that. Pretty sure if they ever roll over CBDC, we'd be pretty much forced to use it in the end since it'd basically replace fiat.
1365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos Want you to Gamble Responsibly on: February 04, 2023, 12:56:23 PM
Any thoughts?
We'd probably never know ngl. Sure, I'd also like to think that casinos don't really want their users to gamble away their money irresponsibly (they'd still lose, but in a more controlled manner) but the thing is that's most likely just the from they need to comply hence why they post stuff like that. Either way, they'd still profit regardless of people playing responsibly or not. Ofc, I don't really mind (and neither should others really) whether they want me to gamble responsibly or not, it's my choice anyway and I don't really need to put the responsibility for them when I'm just using their services.
1366  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for paying online casinos for refer on: February 04, 2023, 08:06:27 AM
I started earning money online before crypto through affiliate marketing and other, I still have my tools and I feel like taking the next step to crypto and online casino, I am looking for list of online casinos that pays people for referring other people even if they have to make deposits first, what is important to me is finding the highest paying ones as I have ways of promoting that I believe will not fail me or waste my time, also is there anyone into this type of side income thing? What type of  Smiley advice can you give a dude like me?
I don't think you need advice really, you already have experience, after all, that's all the advice you're ever going to need. The rest would probably just to spread your connections wider or be able to reach out to a wider audience, the usual stuff you'd do to invite more and more people. You can even try referring to other people who are in the same environment as you and see what they do as reference. As for casinos, The only one I'm familiar with that has affiliates are Stake, some of the casinos I play probably have one but I don't really look it up so I'm rather unsure.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there gambling games/sports that suits a particular gender the more? on: February 04, 2023, 05:58:12 AM
Gambling is mostly what men do to try and get some quick and easy money. Woman generally aren't that concerned about where they can can money since they can just rely on a man for their financial assistance. Men are breadwinners and if they can't provide then they're seen as less of a man and this can drive them into looking for other alternative sources to generate income and gambling is one of them so there's nothing wrong in saying gambling, is an activity that concern men more.
I don't think it's a matter of who gambles more, men or women, but rather in the context of where both women and men gamble, which would each gender prefer more to gamble with instead. And I wouldn't really consider gambling as an "alternative source" of income, alternative sources should be instances where the money comes in at a stable rate, even if it was a low amount. Not to mention in gambling you'd often let money go out more than go in.
If there were any sport that was gender specific then it has to be gymnastics but I don't know if there's any platform for people to gamble on the outcome of the event. We could also say every other sports that are inclusive of woman could have an audience of female gamblers but it'll be a very small number compared to that of the men.
But there are male gymnastic competitions though??
1368  Economy / Economics / Re: I don't see this changing anytime soon on: February 04, 2023, 05:11:24 AM
I don't see people leaving centralised exchange because of what happened with FTX, some moved their funds out of exchanges but after all the bad news cool off they go back, it seems centralised exchanges will always be people's favorite, they are doing very well. Look at Binance, after the FUD cleared deposits start coming in, look at Crypto.com, the FUD is no more and people are screaming the name.
I don't think they ever will. They can be considered as a sort of marketplace at this point really, so at that part they won't leave, I do hope that people will stop using exchanges as their wallet permanently, and hope the FTX scare isn't a temporary thing. CEXs are just too convenient for the average person and to any new traders really, and once they grow they'd simply stick to what they learned first rather.
Am I evil for wanting to see CEX go or at least become less important?
Not really no. But it definitely won't go away, it may become less relevant possibly (but I doubt it), but it'll never disappear.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Charitable Casinos on: February 03, 2023, 01:55:14 PM
Haven't played on one yet. Probably cause the casinos in my area in the first place aren't really big enough ones that they'd consider using charity to create fame for their casino I guess. Maybe if it was online crypto then I can try and play on it (not even sure if they exist tbf). If they were to ever create one near me (or online) then I just might consider it, still depends on how they put out their service though in the long term.

I like the idea, but this kinda seems like a sketchy marketing scheme, that is being done by those "charitable casinos". How can we be sure that those casinos are keeping their promise and actually spending a portion of their profits for charity?
It is what it is, heck charities themselves sometimes are pretty sketchy so I wouldn't put it past me that said charitable casinos are also doing their so-called "charity" work pretty sketchily.
In many countries around the world the gambling industry is being heavily taxed and the tax revenue is used for funding healthcare programs(like programs for fighting drug, alcohol and gambling addictions). This seems way more transparent than relying on the generosity of a bunch of casino owners.
I agree, but I don't think Charity casinos get taxed less for being "charitable" in the first place so I don't really think it's an issue whether they're one or not. I guess it's just additional money spent on helping others outside of the already taxes that they give out.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your earliest Gambling Story? on: February 03, 2023, 08:03:51 AM
I've probably told this a few times here tbh. It was back in my high school days, I wasn't necessarily the one that started it, I just joined the trend. Heck in the first place, I wasn't even playing with money, I just joined in for fun, we were playing a variety of card games back then like poker, blackjack, and some other local types (can't really remember what they're called). One time I got pretty much enticed to join in with money involved, I lost like $10, $15 back then, which was a lot at the time (especially if you consider how I was still a hs student).

Wasn't really a bad experience, it was actually fun imo.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: really no kyc crypto casino on: February 03, 2023, 06:05:45 AM
Sportsbets, Duelbits, Stake - these are some of the casinos that won't ask you for a full KYC which involves submitting documents for the amount you mentioned of withdrawal. But take note that some of your activity might trigger why your account should be subject to KYC.

I can't assure you that you won't encounter any KYC-related stuff on the sites I have mentioned but one thing is for sure here, you can withdraw freely with those sites as long as of course, no strings attached*.
I'd actually just avoid giving recommendations for casinos that ask for KYC "IF NEEDED", they're basically casinos that require you to do KYC sooner or later, and as OP doesn't really want to no matter what, I'd say it's not the ones he's actually looking for.

For the list, I think what @Oshosondy sent gives the best list, I don't particularly use casinos with no KYC so I have no recomms for OP (if freebitco.in counts then that's probably the only one really), but if you do find one you're comfortable with maybe share it here (just in case, you know, I start hating on KYC casinos I use right now). Best of luck!
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much time do you think you have spent gambling? on: February 02, 2023, 05:30:16 PM
If it's time then probably a few thousand hours (But less than 5k I think). That's just on casinos though, sports betting idrk, never really knew when I actually started tbf. I just moved to it after I slowly got bored of casino games (though I still do play them every now and then). If it was like a general time then probably 4-5 years? That's just the general, probably played a few hours each session and every few days each week. I compared it to how I usually play my steam games every now and then (which is what I do with gambling essentially), so I'm pretty familiar with how my games were scheduled.

If it was the amount though I'd probably never answer/think about it, been gambling for quite a lot after all.
1373  Economy / Economics / Re: Monthly or weekly pay? Fixed or percentage earning? what is your prefrence. on: February 02, 2023, 11:59:25 AM
Monthly. It's just something I'm used to I guess? And it also helps in setting up the general payments all at once in one sitting, compared to setting it up weekly. It's also the default method most companies use for paying their employees, so I pretty much got used to it already. Even with my signature campaign, I usually let it pile up and then only use it properly every month (though I do forget it sometimes and go past a few weeks).

As for percentage vs fixed, I guess it depends on the job, but I'm more into fixed salary, it's much more stable after all. Though if more instances were to happen where the salary isn't worth the amount of work you'd put in most of the time, either get a raise or just leave and find a better job.
1374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What could be considered red flags with tokenomics of new projects? on: February 01, 2023, 02:16:25 PM
If a token supply of a project is 100 million and the team is taking 10 million for themselves is this a red flag? If No, how much is alarming allocation for team of a new project?
Not bad, but it isn't the only factor you should take into account when reviewing a project. Not sure how much is alarming but I reckon anything above 30 you'd need to make them answer some questions as to why it was allocated that way I guess.
My second question is about the locked period of team token allocation, have this proven to be a better solution to avoid dumping from the team themselves?
Naturally, it's better than letting their team dump their tokens at the start and possibly crashing the ecosystem of the market. The longer the tokens are locked, the more it shows that the team isn't really considering that the project is dead and they believe it's still worth working on.

If a new project successfully raised 3x of their target in any presale isn't that enough to get the project to where they plan? So why the need for the team to still acquire some token allocation for themselves?
Projects don't necessarily set their target to be the comfortable amount they need, it may be the minimum they actually need. And besides, tokens for the team can be said to be their shares of said project.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your take on this crypto gambling use case idea? on: February 01, 2023, 06:39:54 AM
Not to put you off, but casinos have a much more segmented niche and no matter how good the games are, users want to be able to easily make deposits and withdrawals without having to convert their funds.
Loquity and security are paramount, I find it difficult to get such an innovative service that can counterbalance these requirements.
It has its own economy and a game that's built around that economy, hence why it was successful. It only lost its value because the team behind it failed to account to the sudden influx of players, but enough of that, I don't think it's enough as a sample in the first place anw.

I don't know how your friend intends to attract gambleers to his  website but I think is not a good business strategy. Most people want to have a variety of currencies they could use for gambling. Restricting the gambling site currency to a private token would discourage people from using it. But like I said, if your friend does the right publicity and the games on his platform are interesting he might end up attracting customers that would have no choice but to abide by his rules.
I actually think OP mistook the chips irl casinos use for something like what he wanted to present, just the fact that the value could depreciate or appreciate without cause is enough for them to stray away from such coins. I hardly think anyone would agree to use it unless they put out some insane advantages if they were to start using said coin/gamble in their casino, but no casino owner would probably do that, that's just a loss for them.
1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Greedy Machine NFT on: February 01, 2023, 05:31:45 AM
I don't think waiting for the power of NFT to grow is something you'd really want, especially if said growth was vague a f (and close to useless really compared to the promotions most NFTs present). In this case it seems like an NFT gig connected to mining?  Might as well set up your own rig really instead just to be sure. There are probably a ton of people willing to offer their advice compared to using this NFT to "mine".

What other earning opportunities do you know?
Trading, freelancing.
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are good at using the most hyped utility on: January 31, 2023, 02:28:47 PM
Naturally. With the recent boom of ChatGPT and other AI-related stuff, I don't doubt they already were making preparations for some random project that uses the tech-savvy term "AI" to bait some new investors out there. Even NFT's haven't stopped, so I reckon AI stuff would continue for a pretty sizeable amount of time. I honestly just avoid any investment that has buzzwords but no solid result. Even if I consider that they're just making me a sort of start-up investment, there's way too many projects like them that are pretty much empty words only after all.
1378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being Lonely drives you towards Gambling....! on: January 31, 2023, 01:14:25 PM
It's actually amazing how you had the mindset to gamble inside the hospital while your mother was under an operation (I'm assuming this is what happened based on your story). If not, well, the core idea still remains, you gambled while under pressure. I reckon this happens if you were an impulsive decision-maker, not just in gambling but in everything else. I reckon it's time to practice some time off with decisions, as well as possibly removing gambling completely since impulsiveness isn't exactly something you can remove quickly enough. Gambling on the other hand can be if you replace it with a hobby instead.

And take a break to get a check-up from your psychiatrist or something. You definitely need it. It may not seem helpful since advice can be given by others as well on the internet, but properly talking it out irl with someone else face to face can help you realize how much you're fucking up your decisions.
1379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about web3, metaverse? on: January 30, 2023, 01:00:05 PM
There may indeed be potential, but none of whatever projects have shown said potential really, and most of what we have right now are just hyped a f projects that use tech-savvy terms to make their project look good or have proper road paths. I mean look at FB's "metaverse" project, it was basically a downgrade version of VR Chat with no whatsoever innovation in it, and it had big investors in place as well. There might be improvements later on, but as I said, as of now there isn't anything unique or different in its current state. The best presentation I had about metaverse probably was the AR integration, which was actually pretty amazing imo.
1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beginner in Crypto on: January 30, 2023, 07:27:11 AM
No. Most low-priced NFTs are just hyped NFTs that died down or are ones that will never really go up because it isn't really marketed. I reckon there are some rare instances where they would increase in price but that would be difficult to find, you'd probably be better off investing in altcoins or something. If you really really want to buy NFTs, make sure your reason is that it's you yourself want it maybe for personal enjoyment, or anything else really as long as its not as an investment. I reckon I'd buy NFTs if I were to see some really good ones tbh.
