2381  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Are we over complicating Bitcoin? on: July 18, 2017, 01:39:45 PM
Same is the problem here with me and many others who got in investors into bitcoins as mediators.
The people who bought in at $2500 because of me, are now asking as to why is this bitcoin getting doomed without any specific reasons. They just googled out and found about segwit2x as well as chain split and soft forks and they even tried to understand the terms but unable to, so they came to me asking about the same as to what is all this about? I tried my best to make them understand but even I was not capable to catch their attention to it and they went off asking me to give them a deadline that till when will bitcoins be back at those prices again. They think I cheated them, but I thought that prices might touch 4k USD based on the scalability issues' news which were coming as resolved few days back. This is not going to be easy and need to wait with fingers crossed and see what happens this August.

A large percentage of Bitcoin buyers and holders can be feeling the same thing now that we are in the "chaotic" stage of Bitcoin...when the scaling solution will soon be implemented. It is not helping that many news about the possible split are mostly geared to people who have already the basic understanding about all of these technical jargon bombarding us everyday.

Personally, there are so many things I also don't get fully that is why I just prefer to have a watch and see attitude regarding the August 1 deadline. I would accept whatever that can come out from this whole Bitcoin adventure. If there is one thing I am hoping for it is that possibility that after August 1 and when the dust has already settled Bitcoin can get back to the growth track.

Chaotic? No, it's more dramatic than just creating chaos alone because it's being spread wrongly through the media that Bitcoin could doom till certain levels and even end up. We all know Bitcoin could never die, but the newer the people are regarding it, more scared will they be about the same. And about the dust part, I too think that it is all being done to settle down things as well as the "pump" that took place and took Bitcoins to $3000, but I think we should see not less than 1500 and be back above 2500 (my investors' buy level) at least.

2383  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of bitcoin before 1st August 2017 on: July 17, 2017, 05:45:43 PM
1400-1700 levels are possible at the least possible points taken into consideration that if panic sells take place, else it won't be coming down under $2k again and I really feel that there's no reason for us to panic like this but to wait, because this is nothing too drastic to be experienced as we already had such wavy rides before.
2384  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHEN will BTC rise again and WHY? on: July 17, 2017, 05:41:28 PM
The reason would be obvious that if the scalability issue gets resolved and there won't be any need of a soft fork, even if it takes place and everything goes according to the plans, then I think the price will bounce back to more than $3000 and may even reach $4500 (seeing the levels on charts) but won't remain that high and come back to become stable near 2500-2800 levels.
2385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: do the markets random walk ? on: July 17, 2017, 11:44:18 AM
It should not be called a random walk currently as we all know the reason why this is happening, and it's the August 1 we are all waiting and as well, scared about. The possible chain split is a big risk and all this hypocritical drama could lead the values (not price actually) of bitcoin in our hearts go uninterested. On the other hand, it confuses me to say this too that where there is speculation, there is random walk and that's obvious.
2386  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to learn how to trade on: July 17, 2017, 11:35:16 AM
If you want to learn basics, then I recommend you to try out https://www.dailyfx.com, I know that they are a forex-based website but the material that they provide will help you understand crypto markets too that how these altcoins basically work and what are the signals of possible pumps/dumps as well as their growth. I have also seen http://www.altcointrader.co to be one of the most emerging players in the field of altcoin trading and their signals have been great till date.
2387  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex Or Bittrex? on: June 25, 2017, 07:27:11 PM
If you are asking based on a newbie's perspective, I would say you must go for Bittrex because it can really give you great practice before you trade on poloniex where big players play their games and drive the markets hard. Polo consists of large volumes in terms of trading comparing to Bittrex where even worst coins get pumped without much high volume and you may try your luck over dead coins, the ones which are going to get delisted because many of them get pumped at least once if they had not seen such situations before.
2388  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: June 25, 2017, 07:13:31 PM
Why not? Microsoft's Owner Bill Gates feels Bitcoin is unstoppable and is even accepting it for their XBox gaming consoles and other different types of payment modules. Winklevoss brothers, who were behind the main concept of Facebook are two billionaire brothers who have their investments in Bitcoin as well as even tried their best to get it listed in the International Markets via SEC through ETF (which unfortunately got rejected).
2389  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will the next BTC bubble be... (after this pops) on: June 25, 2017, 06:55:35 PM
Both the sides whether good or bad are fighting hard over this topic whether we are currently in a bubble or not, I can only say that time will let everyone know about this so we should stop speculating too much over this.
About the bubble part, IMHO I really don't think that this is a bubble because when alts are gaining too much because of their usage as well as different implementations like segwit and PoS strategy, why not Bitcoin deserve to be on such higher prices? Why are we talking about burst here when a bubble isn't there? Times are different now as lots of users are being added to cryptonomic world daily and they are not stupid who are buying Bitcoins at such high rates and Btc is even getting sold at extremely premium rates in many countries, are they getting in just for profits?
2390  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin hit 3500$ in 2018?  ??? on: June 25, 2017, 06:44:55 PM
Bitcoin would most likely hit 4000 before the end of this year. Could drop below 2000 and head back up very fast, smashing the 3000k barrier and move to 3400.

4000 is not an easy target TBH. Yes it can go further than that, but it will surely take time and probably not in this year.
It is still a question whether Bitcoins could remain stable at such high prices or may get dumped by big players sooner or later?
But yes 3500 is a resistance which once broken, can take Bitcoins to a level of 3800 and may slightly go a bit more higher till 4200 to test that level and it will easily take 8-12 months more so it's not possible this year but OP, yes 3500 may be seen in 2018.
2391  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at an all time high on: June 25, 2017, 06:32:19 PM
Let's get serious with this that the dips will not be those intense, the way they had been before!
I think that Bitcoins are now gaining some real values because investors are into it taking it more as a global currency than just a way to make more money over their investments.

I agree, and I do hope the dips won't be the same as before. It actually is scary though it will increase back again, but still it was crazy. Maybe it won't be the same as before because a lot of people treat bitcoin now as a great value and asset.

If you are talking about times when it went crazy from 35 to 5 and then slowly gained back, think again.
You will really need to have a magic wand or pessimistic people need to pray hard to God to make that kinda drop happen, because the way I am seeing it, people are taking more interest in it as a way of financing their needs with something totally volatile, still one of their best choices to make their money communicate the way they want and without any "body's" interference.
2392  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to borrow bitcoins on: June 25, 2017, 06:18:20 PM
You can try out lending section (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=65.0) of the forum, but I guess you will hardly get any loans being a newbie here.
You will need solid collateral on hands in order to get that. And about safety of your collateral, well you can choose an escrow here and go with the same to have your collateral secured by them and when you repay your loan, you get your collateral sent back to you.
2393  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best short-term investment you have ever made? on: June 25, 2017, 06:13:49 PM
The best shot that I played was a recent one when I had one SC bought for 120 sats and the way it went up higher than 600 sats, made my day as well as gave me the results I expected for such a long wait of even 2 months. Have been watching many alts and even driven away by few and wanted to invest in them as few of them went even 10 to 20 times higher, but I managed to control myself and it really paid off.
2394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you only got to invest in one altcoin which one would you choose? on: June 25, 2017, 06:04:49 PM
I am a die-hard fan of Monero because it lets you do all the bad stuff without being your privacy leaked. [/sarcasm]
Just kidding over there, but yeah it's definitely monero I would go for, if I have to choose just one altcoin to buy and hold for long term.
I see that it can probably give better returns just like ETH has given to its investors.
2395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Destroying Bitcoin is NOT Acceptable on: June 25, 2017, 05:54:45 PM
If it would have been wrong, then why would alts be taking such measures too to burn their coins which are useless?
It really gives much value to a crypto for removing unused coins out of service and just having the remaining part being circulated as it will amplify and give more stimulative reasons to the newer people who are joining the bitcoin revolution daily.
2396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: which website do you recommend for starter gambler? on: June 25, 2017, 05:43:27 PM
I always used Directbet before but sadly they dissolved. Now, the best one according to me would be NitrogenSports where you will get many different chances of making quick money through various competitions that take place there like No. 1 wagering person, the one with highest no. of bets won in a Parlay, etc. You should check them out if you really want to get something big from your small bets.
2397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite casino game or slot? on: June 25, 2017, 05:38:26 PM
I don't play casino games mostly like blackjack or Aces because I lose more than what I try to win over there.
But I have been playing European Roulette all the time as it is one of my favorite table games where I know how to win and make more money out of those filthy house edges who try to steal everything from me. Slots are also my favorite ones, one of them is Lucky 7s which I play mostly because I feel 7 is my lucky number.
2398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hold... Hold.... Hold.... Do not sell everything on: June 25, 2017, 05:28:17 PM
Don't be a weak hand who panic sells only to rebuy back in later at a higher price because of FOMO. Just buy on the dips and hodl. Then sit back and enjoy the ride.

Buy in the dips? Well I don't see any dips incoming or none took place recently, are you talking about $2100?
If that's the case, I don't think that it will be making any such differences to anybody's decisions over selling or holding Bitcoins because according to me, even buying at current rates will one day give the investors bigger profits as it is not going to stop ANYWHERE.
2399  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: from newibe start on: June 25, 2017, 05:00:19 PM
It's great to have you here mate. All I could say would be for you to better check out the currency exchange part of the forum where you will be able to find many trustworthy exchangers. If you are scared in trading here, you can choose from a list of escrows who may help you out with your deals in btc here.
2400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best wallet and how to transfer funds? on: June 25, 2017, 04:52:17 PM
Lauda has already stickied a thread at the top, still I am giving you the link here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631151.0
I am currently using an online wallet service named Blockchain and I am currently happy with them.
About how to transfer? You need to have the other party's bitcoin address and you are just a click away from sending them your coins.
