1761  Economy / Reputation / Re: Waso needs flag support on: June 15, 2019, 02:55:31 PM
I have given a support from my end, but still unfamiliar what will this do to the account actually?

And how to know if a supporter of this initiative is themselves a scammer OR accused?

And, are these flags having levels too like we have for DT?

Side note - do we have statistics how many scammers are "red flagged" at the moment?

I guess LoyceV may be working on this. Smiley
1762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rising, Scams Rising on: June 14, 2019, 11:37:58 PM
I didn't lose BTC but ETH in a transaction I didn't use an escrow in.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5136940.msg50803111#msg50803111

I gave all the details in the thread for everyone here to see and learn from my mistakes and never trust anybody without an escrow even if you had more than 100 deals with them as in today's world, anyone can scam due to various reasons.
1763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i start a game here in the forum? on: June 09, 2019, 01:15:50 PM
As stated in the title, is it possible to run a game here in forum?

Games and rounds is the right place you can post about this.
OR if it is an investment-based game, post it in Investor-based games

Here is the idea, let's take the example of Noona and Mismar (they are my turtles), if i can publish a live video (in youtube for example) of the tortules competing in a course for many times and offer bets for users here in a live thread by the help of one of the known escrows here, as we see in auctions or ruffles. (is this against forum rules?)

It is actually dumb for me to bet over turtles (unless they are Ninja Turtles)  Cheesy
I think I'd prefer betting on DOTA 2 and CS:GO challenge more than what you proposed, but if it's not a crime in your country you can promote and ask people to bet upon them. I prefer a fight between chickens instead of turtles.  Grin

Quote
This may look dumb for many of you because i don't take it seriously so i can't explain it well.
I want to know if this is possible here in btc forum or not. And if anyone can suggest more ideas on how to realize this.

Sorry for the bad english.

If you don't take it seriously yourself, how will you convince people to bet and play what you want them to play?

1765  Economy / Services / Re: Get 5 BTC for proof who Game Protect scammed and for how much? on: June 03, 2019, 01:57:36 PM
Not only did you scam people game-protect, you even tried to spam the trust system by giving irrelevant arguments in your negative ratings to us for no reason. We even stopped advertising those websites when we saw some accusations rising against those betting sites as we wanted good for the forum and not our own financial benefit. Tell me, how were we responsible to be accused of the deeds these sites claimed to do in future? Did we knew what their intentions were?
1766  Other / Meta / Re: Trust System Upgrade on: June 02, 2019, 02:07:15 PM
I don't get a few things here -

What is a custom trust list?
Is it something that is for our own good to keep/ remove/ untrust someone in our list with a ~ and will it be seen in those users' trust ratings when I visit their profile? And what about the original DT members? If I exclude them out of my list 'for test issues', will I still see the exact trust ratings in number in their profile or will it change? I will be very thankful to someone to explain me this depth part of DT membership. What is DT1, DT2, DT3 and DT4? Which one of these hold the highest power?

Most important one here -
Why are the questions having biased options with a Yes or No before same statements as an alternative?

I'm shocked how I didn't see this thread yesterday when I made a post which contains almost all the words given in your list. I'm quoting it here so everyone can see it:

Am new here in bitcointalk, and I have been hearing my friends discussing the important and usefulness of this forum but every since I came in am still unable to understand how really this forum works. It will be a big pleasure to me if anyone can dedicate there time to tutor me on how to use and benefit from this forum so I don't get stuck in the hands internet fradster. Thanks for your time

Nobody can spoon-feed you about anything here and you need to learn everything by yourself, your experience will fulfill your expectations here.

To prevent yourself from being scammed, use a reputed escrow of the forum. I can give you the link but I want you to find it on your own.

To not get banned, don't copy-paste anybody's content either from here or internet as it is one of the toughest permabans called plagiarism ban which will never allow you to come back here and post. Your spam can also get you banned for a range between 6 days to a few months to permaban.

Try to avoid posting in topics you don't have relevant information about because those posts will get reported and deleted by mods if not found on-topic.

This forum allows trust settings where you can keep/remove and adjust people's trust levels according to how you want to see them (however that doesn't change anything for others unless you have a depth of DT1 or DT2. Trust is for successful trades of goods/services or information as well as contribution to this forum. Though, you may get red tagged by someone for anything but don't worry because if the tag has got no sufficient proof or reason to prove you wrong, that tag will be ignored.

Forum also has sections where you can discuss Bitcoin and altcoins as well as the same in your local language too. It has also provided boards where you can trade goods/services I already told about before.

You can ask technical queries related to miners and other hardware related issues and also indulge into speculative discussions to know where BTC will be going. You can also talk about mining and its difficulty levels and ask about blockchain and its features without any hesitation 'and there is a search button up there on top right which you can use to find your questions if already asked before you post the same question'.

That's what I know about this forum in a whole and trust me nobody will tell you everything, but give you a short intro just like I did. Except this, you need to start your journey and learn more yourself.

1770  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How powerful is bigpumpsignal's? (BPS) on: May 28, 2019, 10:40:26 PM
Don't consider them to be powerful as the fact would shake you. They 'or any other channels except very few ones' are not doing any good to their users as they just pre-pump the coins already and then signal their users to buy in. If you are speaking here about their 'most profitable trade of the day/ week, I don't need to tell you that they already contain a bag to sell it back to their users - yes, those who follow them. The money flowing to them is not limited to the premium memberships they provide, but this is the best way for them to make a fool of their users and make a lot of extra money off them.
1771  Economy / Economics / Re: Surveillance Capitalism, Facebook coin, KYC, crypto on: May 28, 2019, 10:28:11 PM
It can't be denied as a fact that companies like Facebook and a few more have announced about their own cryptocurrencies to *offer their customers with an ease to pay/ send/ receive it as a gift or in the form of a monetary help/ payment. This will centralize the current process as a whole where - if users tend to move to those cryptocurrencies and happily provide more and more data to them thinking that they are going to do any good to them, is definitely going to harm not only them but the whole crypto environment as cryptography and its subject was introduced to serve the purpose of privacy. Though, it is our, a user's responsibility if we want to use these social medias and their cryptocoins or stick to the Dad - Bitcoin.

*Including but not limited to responsibility, it is also about the choice if users tend to use these crypto. I doubt Facebook will also add PoW to their crypto to let their users earn more crypto by socializing more which gives Facebook more opportunities as the more their users engage, the more data this company will have to sell it in the markets for millions of dollars due to having a XXXL sized user base.
1772  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit $11,500 in June 2019? on: May 28, 2019, 03:34:04 PM
And there's still a bear waiting, calling himself maybe the last bear remaining and drawing his prediction for Bitcoin to reach $4200 as a nosedive before it starts teaching a new all time high.

https://dailyhodl.com/2019/05/27/crypto-researcher-selling-bitcoin-btc-anticipates-nosedive-to-4200-i-may-be-the-last-bear-left/

Tone Vays is the guy who thinks he can break the game for BTC by shorting it towards $4200. This maybe due to the reason that many Shorts lost more than $130 million in their positions during BTC's sky touching pumps.

On other hand, Max Keiser predicted that BTC could reach $28000 in short term. This shows that competition is tough on both ends and pullbacks could still take place as a surprise for all who are just watching the green candles coming one by one.

1774  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does Decaying sMerits will be healthy for the forum? on: May 28, 2019, 01:33:14 PM
Merits are rewards and I would personally prefer getting them decayed if I don't find a single post deserving my sMerit/s (impossible I know, this is just an example).
Agreed. If, instead of always being merit-broke, I was ever struggling to get through my source allocation, I would simply double up how many merits I was sending to each post rather than start awarding merit to sub-par posts.

I am thankful to all those whom I was watching doing such mistakes by sending either too many merits to deserving posts or meriting just to save themselves from getting their merits decayed. Though, I think we need enough time to find and distribute 'in my way, reward' our specially given authority which is merits to those who are really doing something from their side without expecting.

Merit was created to be used as a rewarding system which is why I am giving them slowly to the most deserving users of the forum (mostly low rank users). That doesn't mean I don't have a criteria for high ranks, but I am currently focusing on those who deserve it to rank up and produce the same or even better quality in their posts.
1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things all gambling websites/apps/games should have? on: May 28, 2019, 12:30:56 PM
I'm curious to know what you all feel are the most important features of gambling websites/apps/games?

I think everyone was so busy that they didn't try to understand your question. I am mentioning some of the most important features every gambling website should have:

* Provably fair is a must.
For all of us, we need to have all our bets verifiable at their website through a provably fair page that gives genuine results after hashing it with the bet ID and seeds.

* Instant withdrawals.

* Respect privacy and shouldn't ask for KYC 'except in some affairs'.

* Dynamic website with least lags.

* Tournaments to allow users to play more and win even more in the competitions.
1776  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merits holding you back? Am giving them to most qualitative Newbie / Jr / Member on: May 28, 2019, 12:04:30 PM
Please consider my post and help me to rank up. I am not a good poster but i am doing the right things here in the forum.

I can see that brother, but I still need some extra from you - something that I didn't see anyone talking.

Thanking for those BTC campaigns won't really work out as there is another fact which is a part of it - spam. It is really hard for managers to keep up with the users due to most of them burst-posting in no time or shitposting just to reach their minimum for a paycheck. They need to learn and understand that it is not a job but a part time income opportunity and you are not forced to post shit.

Attidude matters most than having a great knowledge.

Sorry but I don't agree over this at all.
Your knowledge is what makes you perfect in your words and perform better in real world too. If you don't have knowledge about a specific topic, I bet your attitude can't help you there to respond to the challenge.

Quote

Anyways, coming back to the topic:
There are a few things lacking in your posts as described -
* Grammar and punctuation issues.
* Unnecessary content to make posts longer.
* Few of them in megaspam threads.

As I said, I just need a bit more from you and you are now on my watchlist. If I find what I'm looking for, there's definitely a merit coming from my side.

Till then, please try your luck here:

1777  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does Decaying sMerits will be healthy for the forum? on: May 28, 2019, 11:53:39 AM
Finding a high quality poster is really difficult when you know that there are more than a million people here trying to get ranked up through different tactics (plagiarism is one of them). Sending merits to those who copy-paste their content 'even if it is of high quality' may get you into trouble because it is some other guy's material and you should always check what you are meriting.

Another part I checked here is if you think that people fear of getting their sMerits decayed and would send lower rank members those merits just for the sake of saving them, you are wrong. Merits are rewards and I would personally prefer getting them decayed if I don't find a single post deserving my sMerit/s (impossible I know, this is just an example). Although there are different means of quality in the mind of every unique person here, but I look more for the perspective and if someone justifies it (the topic) with their content, then they will surely get merits from me or anyone able to understand the depth or efforts that were put by the poster in that post.
1778  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merits holding you back? Am giving them to most qualitative Newbie / Jr / Member on: May 27, 2019, 03:28:08 PM
IMO Beginners and Help is the proper place , not sure why @LoyceV decided to put his in reputation, but he must have a reason for that.
I wasn't necessarily looking for Beginners, I was looking for experienced users who found good unmerited posts, while they're out of sMerit to give. This was meant to more or less prove those posts are quite rare, and with less than 1 reported post per day, I think this is confirmed.

I still don't understand one part of your initiative:
As you said that you are expecting some users to show generosity by reporting other users' merit deserving posts, this is one of the bitter and ugliest parts I think that least would ever do. Most of them won't put efforts to report good posts but rather bad ones (as it creates better opportunities and removes a bit more competition out of their way). Some will report (good people) while others would look for their own good by reporting you their posts.

I find your posts to be TL;DR type.
That's my thinking and I found one more issue here that your posts were in megaspam threads which I don't consider to merit in. Try to be short and summarized as it will definitely get you better words to write a decent, sober and high quality post. I don't say that I didn't like your quality, but improve a bit and come back and you will surely have one from me.
1779  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some suggestions to future merit giveway thread starters on: May 27, 2019, 03:05:15 AM

I choosed the beginner and help board to post this information as it's the most likely board for merit giveways threads. Hope I get my message across.

Most recently merit give away thread started are moved by moderators to the off topic section.

Your message hold some quality in it. But I would like to add that there should be a standard for someone to start a merit give away thread so that the whole idea of merit give away wouldn't be abused or used for ulterior motives.

Even if there is a standard set by someone (like my example), the mods have been actively moving all such giveaway threads to Off-topic part of the forum. I think that the word 'Giveaway' itself is not what the admins want us to show and that could be due to the reason that merits were never meant for giveaways as they are not something which should be given as an incentive but rather a reward. I may have misunderstood and I will be changing a few things in my thread later today after studying a bit more about how to let convert my giveaway into a rewarding thread based on high standards.

Note: You quoted OP's post 2 times, I mean that there is an extra quote made by you over your quoted OP's post.
You can see that I FTFY in my quotes.
1780  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source on: May 27, 2019, 02:46:36 AM
Hi LoyceV,
I appreciate your great work you have been doing for the good of newbies and others, but I'm here for a help that has no relation with your thread (a question that may sound off-topic here). One of your mates suggested me to check your thread (this one) and share my sMerits to users who report posts which may or may not deserve merits.

My thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5108474.0

My question:
Can't I keep my own thread and do it my way? I have my own measures set for the users who come and ask for merits at that thread.

You are one of the most experienced users of this forum, so can you take some time in checking my thread and let me know what's wrong with it due to which it is being moved to Off-topic repeatedly?
