Felt like I watched some pro regulation propaganda to be honest not much in the ways of arguments as to why regulation may be a bad thing.
Well made and interesting but very pro regulation. From the storyline given I thought we would see more of both sides of the coin.
I don't think it's propaganda, but any intelligent person knows for it to become a legit currency where you can actually spend it on shit there's gonna be some 'regulation' and taxation. It's not a bad thing, but like one of the interviewees said, they can't touch the actual protocol so i don't see why it really matters much. Of course it matters though, thats like saying I dont mind having my emails read , regulated and my history stored because its still the SMTP behind it... I don't see how they're the same. I think you need to tell me what sort of regulation you have in mind. I dont have any regulation in mind. You made the point that any regulation doesn't matter due to the protocol not being changed which I refuted with an example of how you don't have to change the protocol to change the way in which it is used and monitored. Lets not get into a debate on whether regulation is good or bad thing, my opinion that it promoted the idea of regulation without giving much counter argument is my opinion and still stands. |

Before I open a support ticket can anyone explain why if I have an open position on margin that is fully covered by my current wallet balance that when I just made a BTC deposit I wasnt able to move the whole of that deposit from my margin wallet to deposit wallet?

I think I am getting greedy, I just sent some of my savings to Bitstamp, if the price will drop more I will risk and add some more coins to my stash, I have mixed feelings about this as I don't know what is the point of growing my stash at this point.
Theres always point in growing your stash, Ive sent more fiat to Stamp recently but I've promised myself that it is only getting spent if we go ~25% lower, have increased my holdings enough over the last few weeks but can't say no to super cheap coins. |

The bank deposit thing I dont think is a massive problem. I can have a wire from my account and on Stamp in a couple of hours most of the time.
wow that's fast. sepa or wire transfer? SEPA from the UK. Obviously its not a couple hours 24/7 but if I make the payment on a morning around 9 I normally have it by half 11 ish. I haven't tried sepa in from uk - do you get the bank to send euros or send GBP via sepa...? I haven't actually put fiat in for a long while, but I do use stamp so I would welcome 'best practice' advice. I send Euros but Im not sure how much difference that would make to time taken, have done a dozen SEPA's and only one was delayed and that was the time around beggining of november when stamp had their bank Issues and we had to wait a few days. |

It doesnt really maters - fud its or not - bitcoin is going down for more than 4 months. How naive one must be to believe, that in a month or two it will boom to 500-1k? I say bars will run it down to the button, trample reputation and any wish for old-buyers to invest again. And then media will step over it again. No good
Im sure the people who watched it go to $2 from $30 stay there for longer than 4 months and then to $266 would disagree with you but ehy you know best right?! Thats would be the equivalent of going to about $80 now, you seriously trying to say were going to $80? |

So for that I thank you  Thanks for encouraging them to waste more of our time and page space.  We don't really need to see "This user is currently ignored." filling every page. In fact on the contrary if they dont get a rise many give up. Seeing the user ignored is hardly skin off your nose as long as the trolls arent quoted it makes no difference to your day and they're not going away anyway. I'd much rather have no trolling but that's not really gonna happen. Trolls are for lols, relax. |

Oh, this thread's run away with itself. Thank you all for your replies.
I meant that in order to access my data, from a USB stick (of which I intent to keep the wallet and OS on), I would need a visual interface to do so i.e. a laptop, one which does not connect to the internet.
So I rather fancied one of those mini-laptops, but was not sure about removing the modem, what with everything being SoC these days.
