This could actually be a really valuable experiment. I don't know that anyone has tested this scenario yet in the wild. Maybe Quark comes closest, but not really the same. What happens when mining reaches the end and Tx operation takes over? Well, now we can find out... I like it.

Stop giving away, there are too many greedy users here.
I think that in this manner we don't go far away
There is a faucet now. I would also rather create bounties now with the rest of the PMC I want to give away. The miners need some love, now. This is my current task. 0.25 PMC per empty mined block awarded. Maybe even prizes for certain blocks.

another pump and dump coin with stupid high rewards early on and stupid low rewards after only a few weeks... block reward is already down to laughably low levels... I suppose whatever floats people's boat I'm sure it will make you good money if it catches on and gets on an exchange. I'm not promoting it obviously since I did not get in while the block reward was high. Good luck to you all. Honestly nobody is going to want to mine this anymore and it will just end up getting 51% attacked and languish in obscurity. CPU based coins need to have a more stable block reward over time in order to have a chance unless you've got a good PR machine at work to pump it up like that doge shit. Thanks for your input Have a nice day ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Someone just wants cheap coins before the price rockets. My Particles are staying put. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I hope to get my code up to scratch tonight. Worst case scenario, I'll just have to reward all miners from tonight onwards, rather than retrospectively until I can sort this code out. How many blocks on average are we mining a day, would you say? So right now we're at block 13195. When I get home, I'll award all miners from this block onwards with 0.25 Premine reward for every empty block they mine. Get mining. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I should be able to do this in smaller chunks of a few hundred blocks each night, with a bit of code tweaking.

Just came to check on my script, and had a screen full of 404s. Looks like I either got blocked from accessing the block explorer too often, or it's being laggy.
I'll have to work on it again tomorrow and divide it into smaller workloads, that way I won't lose everything should I get disconnected again. I should use curl really. Much more reliable.
Perhaps it should just run continually, and gradually just continue paying out rewards. I'll see how I can improve it tomorrow. I have a working script now, it's just way too much data to be trying to access so quickly. Again, without the data in the API I have to scrape each individual transaction hash page. That's a lot of traffic. I probably got blocked from sending too many page requests too quickly.

Script is complete. That's the sample output. If anyone else wanted to reward the 0 block miners, they can just replace 0.25 with a lower value using find/replace in notepad and send some awards themselves. All you need to do is copy the sendmany commands into the debug console in your wallet. I can provide the list tomorrow to anyone who is interested in helping support the network. I will set it off to run overnight, and I can send out the Miner rewards tomorrow. It's going to take quite a few hours to run through the block chain. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Once I've done tomorrow's payments, I can announce the Miner payout scheme and get some much-needed hashpower to PMC.

If you're doing any kind of file recovery you need to recover it to different drive, or you end up corrupting what you recover.

I'm going to let the market do what it likes. I'm not particularly bothered right now by it. Whether the price is high or low, it'll benefit the coin either way. High and the coin has value, low and it'll get distributed further.

Ok, the script is 95% finished.
Based on paying out 0.1 PMC per block, that would be a theoretical maximum of 355.7. However, this is for every block since block 9249, which is where I'm starting from, do the amount should be lower.
So the payment wil be 0.5 PMC per mined empty block, which is a theoretical maximum payout of 1779 PMC. This will be sufficient for now, as I will need to run this script again in a few days, and want to ensure I have enough PMC to cover this time.
I would be careful with the size of amounts, as we need to ensure to keep the rewards steady until the client update is out there. I might lower it a bit, then. sendmany bitcointalk '{"1MBbDbo7koEA9TPnRT25BYfEp2s6Wu1BVM":0.0001}' Could someone edit that command so it also includes a message to the receiver? that can be done, right? Ah thank you. I'll try it. I may not be able to include a message as I can just about fit 5 addresses on a line with the text limit in the debug console. There's just one slight bug that needs to be ironed out, and that's because the script creates the sendmany commands in blocks 5, so if there are less than 5 left over, they'll not be processed. So if I ran it now, at most 4 addresses would be lost and would not receive a miner's reward. If I can get it fixed within the hour I can run it tonight, go through the payments tomorrow, then announce the Miner reward scheme we have for PMC.
