Hey guys, I am afraid that this faucet has no more server balance: http://faucet.cryptodemand.com/
Any chance it will be refilled?

It isn't a dev owned faucet, so it's beyond our control. I would like to see it working again as well.  Sad

The second faucet in your sig says unable to connect to Machiavelli when trying to cash out

Didn't he die in 1527?

Bit of historical humour for you there.

So 3% premined. Well done!
3% premine now is a trend.

Only for dying coins.  Wink

Someone has put in a crazy sell order at Poloniex! 14,300 PMC @.002 for 28.6 BTC

Yeah. I have an inkling. At least they're not being dumped, anyway. Sort of disappointing to make it that obvious that one person holds a large stake, but it could be several holders who have just agreed that .002 is a fair price. It's possible. It only takes 2 or 3 early stake holders to agree on a sell price for that to happen. So it may not be one person.

The alarming part should be that it is a reasonable ask, and I wouldn't be surprised to see that ask touched today.

We're starting to talk big money now, so in order for someone to amass that many coins, they either bought in recently or understand the value of Premine. Or both.

Like has been said over the last few pages, you would have to be absolutely nuts to dump PMC. Infact it appears that the opposite of dumping is taking place. Investors are taking coins out of weak hands then selling them at expected future market value. This is the act of investors, not dumpers.

I'm trying to imagine that sell order being eaten up and it just blows my mind. PMC jumped 3 times yesterday. I thought it was over after each jump. From here on in it could go up at any moment.

I almost feel bad for all of the people that looked at this coin in the beginning and said..."This isn't going anywhere, this is a shitcoin." I have a feeling they'll be kicking themselves in the ass for that now lol.

I don't. I have no pity for those who do not see the potential. But I do respect those who admit to themselves when they are wrong and accept that Premine is about to cause a storm. The community of Premine is accepting. Still not too late. Smiley

well... it could go down at any moment too. ..just to be fair

Of course. However PMC does have its unique characteristics of a low total supply and the inability of market flooding due to difficulty drops on its side. Dumping rare coins is a costlier risk, and because the block rewards are based on network activity, a drop in difficulty doesn't mean an increase in miner rewards. Although mining rewards change based on block volume, the block rewards are divided amongst the active miners, so if 100 miners stop mining, the difficulty goes up, but that same amount of coins is shared amongst the miners still mining, so across an average of 100 blocks you'll probably find Premine is actually quite stable in block reward output compared to a coin that is still minting.

Coin rewards may not shoot up when the difficulty drops, but they won't plummet either. Premine is very stable. I'll eventually write a detailed article on this, but it's the reason I've stuck with PMC. The way it works is quite brilliant if you understand how the market and blockchain affect one another. Which of course you do, being the developer.

When I can be certain that the coins I purchase are safe and will arrive safely in my wallet I will be happy. Until everyone is on the same page I can't take such a risk.

1 - Who is/isn't on the right blockchain
2 - How do I confirm I am on the right blockchain?
3 - Which exchanges are on the right blockchain?

gotta love the dev of this coin, one of the most active i've seen so far

Thanks - and I need to forward that credit on to the community. There are so many people that believe in PMC enough to go above and beyond. You all are what really has made Premine what it is now.

We are just getting started.

234 pages to get a true "to the moon" reference. It might be a record, look it up.

It felt like the right moment, and PMC seems to do everything the right way, so I wanted it to have meaning when I said it.

To you, Premine.

I can not send more than 2 mio Sad

"transaction too large"

funny. I just sent 20,000,000 to someone and it didn't give me that crap... Hmmm

Sad

Please !!!!!!!!
I can not send !!!!!

You need to send it in smaller amounts. Keep lowering it until you are able to send it.

Basically your transaction is made up of lots of smaller transactions on the blockchain. There's a limit to how big a transaction can be at times. That's the only way I can explain it. It can also be caused by too much "dust" in your wallet. Too many small amounts of coins to combine together into a single transaction.

Just keep lowering the amount until you are able to send it in smaller chunks. It's just too many to send at once.

on the 28th Feb 2014, it's the final day for Cambodia investor to invest on my Online Coin Casino project, i will raise money from international investor.

1% share of my company SHARE is 2,500 $ - the Online Coin Casino website is schedule to launch on the 31th March 2014, target income is over 1,000,000$/year

If anybody here interest you better save up.

It's interesting to see a coin developer who is also a real businessman. If you believe as strongly in Prospercoin as I think you do, then I feel my coins are a good investment.

I keep telling everyone there is very serious development behind prospercoin In Mean has over 40 people working for him but not many people are listening..

The early adopters of this coin such as yourself Nullu will enjoy a nice profit / return in the long run Smiley

Do you know how many times some people come here with the same plans and "investors" and the same nothing happened?
It's normal for some to don't believe shit out of it.

Yes, which makes it harder for real developers to get noticed, but easier for smart people to see when a developer's claims are legitimate. Inmean has made his identity public and his business acumen is also public and verifiable.

A damn lot more than can be said of other developers who make the same claims.

RPC problem; getbalance is broken.

On a mintcoind fresh from git checkout, with synced blockchain:

Code:
someone@somebox:~$ mintcoind listaccounts
{
    "" : 0.00000000,
    "gamebank" : 999999.00000000
}
someone@somebox:~$ mintcoind getbalance gamebank
-9216810327147.70507812
someone@somebox:~$ mintcoind getbalance test
-9216811327146.70507812

This is incorrect. getbalance gamebank should return 999999.0, and getbalance test should return 0.

what os you use? I tried on windows, looks fine to me. It did show my balance.

Yes I see the problem now. The problem only exist if you specific the account name. If you do "mintcoind getbalance", then it shows total correctly, but if you use "mintcoind getbalance acctname" then the displayed number is wrong.

So for your purpose, just use getblance without further arguments, it will be fine.

You don't understand my use case.

I'm a service provider and need this RPC call functional.

Edit: Opened a GitHub issue

If you check coins like Peercoin, there's only functions like getbalance of the whole wallet. You may have several addresses, its own balance usually do not make sense. As when you do a send, the coins may come from multiple of the addresses randomly. You can not say send from this address. Therefore, all you care about is the balance in your wallet in this case. If you want to check each address. Use listaccounts.

getbalance should work with seperate accounts. You can send coins to and from accounts within one wallet, and use getbalance to retrieve the total number of coins from those accounts. I know because I use getbalance regularly with other coins. Many altcoins in fact.

If you're running a service accounts are essential. As someone who has a script that relies on knowing exact account balances on a regular basis I can confirm that if he's unable to get the correct balance from his accounts, then either there's a problem on his end, or with the source.

The community has the power to change Catcoin for the better, but it is not working with one voice. Catcoin needs a dev team, not everyone working on different ideas and cross purposes.

Work on becoming a dev team with one voice, and the rest will follow. You need to make singular decisions as a group. The priority now is fixing this fork mess once and for all and deciding on an official fork and then that's it. Then get on with promotion and services.

It's a wonder Catcoin has survive through all this. Even the thread title still mentions a fork.

End the forks.

Cryptorush back up, but Poloniex back down.

Our market cap should be much higher, but with only one active exchange being taken into consideration the figures are misleading. Should get a nice boost once both exchanges finally sort themselves out with the recent upgrades.

As far as I'm concerned Cat is alive but sleeping right now.

The Catcoin community is active but Catcoin became a technical discussion and stopped being about promoting Catcoin. That's when my activity in the community began to decrease.

I will always support Catcoin, but in terms of investing my time in Catcoin vs investing my time in other coins I was seeing increasingly diminishing returns, and unfortunately you have to emotionally detach yourself from coins to get a real perspective of their value.

Nobody knows what Catcoin is anymore. Its identity, how many active forks there are, or what the current plan is. It's in that similar situation that Klondike Coin is now in where the diehard community are the only ones keeping it going.

I have to be completely honest, because honesty is what this coin needs; I don't feel secure holding Catcoin anymore.

It's up to the developers to change that situation, not me. It's not my responsibility to ensure the coins I trade in retain their value. Only if I hold enough for it to be in my personal interest to do so, and for that to happen I'd have to be in possession of several thousand Catcoin. That is not the case, and I won't risk my BTC on investing in that many.

I will support Catcoin always, but I'm telling you now, honestly and truthfully, the only people keeping Catcoin alive are the diehard community. Catcoin is a shell of what it once was. You can still turn this around. Stop being a group discussion of technical specifications and start talking about Catcoin beyond difficulty readjustment algorithms. Casual crypto users have lost interest. There's no point in fooling yourselves in order to portray that everything is fine and dandy, because too many people believe that to be the case now, and it's slowly killing Catcoin.

Positivity is great, but the lack of real criticism or action is extremely disconcerting. I've never seen so much time spent on difficulty readjustment algorithms when some coins just make a decision, enact it, then get on with developing services and a community. This obsession with the difficulty readjustment has to end. Make a decision and stick with it. Every fork is another nail in the coffin.

coinmarketcap seems to have some problems with poloniex today. Looks like they can't get the trading volume info, so only the lower cryptorush price is counted.

Looks like the other way around to me;

http://coinmarketcap.com/volume.html#pmc

Cryptorush is down so is not showing volume.
Yeah now it's reversed.

We really need to get on a stable exchange with an API so it can be added to coinmarketcap.
