1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]TrollCoin A must have for every Troll! Come meet Doge's evil twin. Such Fat on: February 16, 2014, 10:43:30 PM

I don't mine coins like this for fun, you know. I spend hard earned BTC on rigs to mine altcoins. I wouldn't be where I am now if I kept picking losers now, would I? A days worth of mining at 0.08 BTC is perfectly acceptable to me in terms of the profit I'd make if it hit a few exchanges. At the same time, if I think the coin has future potential, I'll hold on to them.

So it was YOU who put the difficulty thru the roof Smiley

Well, I don't know about that. I may have made a small contribution. As I was mining however the difficulty doubled after the first 12 hours, so I do not think I was the only rig leaser throwing hash towards Trollcoin. The pool I was on had a few other "Anonymous" miners, and I've noticed that us rig leasers like to do that, so I would say some people see a bright future for Trollcoin.

The rules are, if you dont like a coin, dont use it. If no one uses it, it dies. Vote with your hashrate.

Or your BTC.  Wink

Dont mine this shitcoin. The name speaks for itself. Will never be added to any exchange.

Quoting this for future reference so when it does get listed, I can look smug and self-righteous.

The famous cliché that has been uttered many times, and been proven wrong just as many. Your choice if you don't wish to mine it, but I'm sitting pretty on my 1.7 million and I'll be sure to let you know how much I make selling them on the exchanges.

And who do you think will invest hundreds of BTC into a coin named trollcoin? Market volume wil be less than 1 BTC guaranteed.
If you mined 1.7 million coins in just a few days it means there's a huge inflation over coins created everyday.

I don't think hundreds of BTC will be invested in Trollcoin. I assure you I'm quite a grounded individual. That's not going to happen. With coins like this however, it takes very little BTC to pump up the price. I can roll off a list of coins with a similar total supply that have been very profitable to mine early on.

Also don't underestimate the troll community at large. Coins have gone viral before, and there's always an outside chance of it happening. Don't count on it of course. Never count on it. But still, if it does, expect some nice exchange volume.

1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 16, 2014, 10:18:55 PM
It's only been a day since the price rise, and current prices are holding well. If we jumped again we could maintain an even higher price.

Premine is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It's slowly building into a very strong coin.

Any chance of running the original lottery or getting a refund?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421357

Yeah. Kind of lame he never finished it. A refund would be nice.
1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Giveaway] 400 Premine (PMC) on: February 16, 2014, 10:14:00 PM
0.5 is not very much

Approx. 500,000 total Premine coins will ever exist. Extremely rare.

If the coin had 21,000,000 total supply that would be approx 21 coins. If the coin had 100 billion total supply it would be approx 10,000.

0.5 is pretty generous.
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will 1000 colossuscoin reach 1 US$ one day? on: February 16, 2014, 10:08:04 PM
Not unless they fix the damn wallet. I hate to sound pessimistic, but all I've heard is talk as of late. A new dev team is great, but all I'm interested in hearing about is the wallet fix.

I would be more than willing to get behind Col if I think the dev team can pull it off, but the lack of any concrete updates is a little frustrating.

1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wow, Alt-coins.... Game over on: February 16, 2014, 09:49:02 PM

I see dead Altcoins.

Walking around like regular Altcoins. They don't see each other. They only see what they want to see. They don't know they're dead.

--

The cold hard truth is that some coins end up just hanging on by its die-hard supporters. I'm not talking about the specific cases he mentions, but all too often do I see dead coins on these boards, and the die-hards hoping and believing that they'll rise once again.
amazing how little research people put into their investments in the first place.  It's also sad reading some of the threads where noone but the biggest bagholders are left in a self-reinforcing circle jerk of optimism.

objectively, few altcoins today could withstand a 51% attack with a few hundred mh.  the hashrate is spread too thin and the entire altcoin market is far more fragile than investors think there is.  the writing's on the wall but few resist the temptation for a quick buck.

Yes, I have to agree. You'll see the real money makers on this forum if you look closely enough. They leave when they know the game is up, and move on to the next potential boom before bust coin.

I could literally list ten coins off the top of my head that are dead, right now, being propped up merely by this circle jerk of optimism as you so eloquently put it. Too many people buy into the hype, and then get trapped in a sort of fantasy bubble disconnected from the real world. You have to learn when to let go and move on.

My 400 PMC giveaway is live at Poloniex.  Please only take some if you don't already have some.  Thanks.

Beaten Smiley

Great giveaway but people already dump their 0.5 PMC

Heh. Let them. It's just another form of distribution. Cheap coins for wise investors. You've got to have little fish for the big fish to make any money.  Smiley
1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is the future of altcoins? on: February 16, 2014, 09:40:37 PM
Oh but how I love the greed, the sleezy cons and underhanded deals. Isn't that the very foundation of Capitalism? The goal is to get wealthy, isn't it? Why pretend otherwise?

Because if you're smart, you can see what's really going on and use that to your advantage. This isn't a game for people who can't read between the lines or get the dirt on what's really happening behind closed doors.

It's an absolute cesspit in here at times, but sometimes you've got to be knee deep in crap before you can expect to find gold.

I do have morals and standards, though. I just buy, trade and mine, and that's pretty much it. If we all cared whether a coin was shady or not there'd be very few altcoins to profit from indeed.
1395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]TrollCoin A must have for every Troll! Come meet Doge's evil twin. Such Fat on: February 16, 2014, 09:28:33 PM
Okay if this wasn't an epic troll move....  After four failed launches of a coin, the community took over and stole the genesis block and started mining while leaving the dev team in the dust.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=469910.0  And now the dev is having a tantrum trying to delete posts left and right.  He's telling everyone that only he can say when people can mine his coin... except now the community already has the blockchain rolling... and they aren't stopping.

I vote for the Crapple coin community's takeover of the CryptoApple coin's code to be my troll of the week nomination.

There's a "dem apples" joke in there somewhere.
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wow, Alt-coins.... Game over on: February 16, 2014, 09:21:21 PM
STFU , you've been for 4 pathetic months, wherelse there are people around you that have been here for years mining, selling cryptos and moving with whats happening, and here comes prophet Who gives a fuck with his shitty bold prediction that it's game over. Like the other guy said probably , a little to much coffee  Cheesy

4 months and yet he already understands the game better than most people do.

Rule one of investing in my experience is emotional detachment.

Some are rising, some are falling and some are dead and don't even know it. The way it has been and always will be.
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Prospercoin -Launched-Exchange Poloniex.com-Gravity Well NO PREMINE on: February 16, 2014, 09:11:32 PM
on the 28th Feb 2014, it's the final day for Cambodia investor to invest on my Online Coin Casino project, i will raise money from international investor.

1% share of my company SHARE is 2,500 $ - the Online Coin Casino website is schedule to launch on the 31th March 2014, target income is over 1,000,000$/year

If anybody here interest you better save up.

It's interesting to see a coin developer who is also a real businessman. If you believe as strongly in Prospercoin as I think you do, then I feel my coins are a good investment.

I keep telling everyone there is very serious development behind prospercoin In Mean has over 40 people working for him but not many people are listening..

The early adopters of this coin such as yourself Nullu will enjoy a nice profit / return in the long run Smiley

Do you know how many times some people come here with the same plans and "investors" and the same nothing happened?
It's normal for some to don't believe shit out of it.

Look if that is what you want to think then please think what you want. I have no reason at all to oppose what you might think. I am also in no way saying you should believe anything. That you feel you must use expletives to convey you message is rather crass one might say but hey you are aloud an opinion and we will not stop you from voicing what you think on this thread.

Of course many people have said this and said that and said the other on this site to gain money from premine scams etc. ( where is our premine oh we did not do one)

As we have said time and time and time again WE ARE IN NO RUSH we will be around a long time and time will show the truth. We do not force you or need you to believe that is totally a choice you should make. The electricity or bitcoin you use to invest in prospercoin belongs to you and we would advise you to choose and invest in what you really think is legitimate.

Let me reiterate please if you do not feel that prospercoin is a legitimate proposal please do not invest and that advice i would give for any coin.

For every bitcoin gained by a scammer someone has to lose a bitcoin.. please we are NOT forcing you or trying to force you into anything we are just stating the facts as we know them. If you read back other people have asked what is in development.

Wait 6 weeks and see if what we say is true then invest Smiley (that way you can see the truth before investing you cannot lose)

To be quite honest the longer the coin remains cheap the longer we all have to buy so i do not mind Smiley

Please feel free to peruse the Head developers facebook page https://www.facebook.com/inmean

You didn't need to go through all that to explain. Sincerely Nullu response achieved the same goal in less words Smiley
I know pretty much what's the risk of an investment , and to date I haven't invested in anything because somebody was putting a gun to my head.

My post was just about this little tiny phrase :  "but not many people are listening".
Even if the investor is solid , proofs etc.. people will still think about other example where the same went wrong , do I need to mention max? =)))

Besides , even with a true and dedicated team behind any project , there is no guarantee for success , just smaller risks.

You always have to weigh the risk vs the reward. For me, I mined Prospercoin for a few days after it launched. I probably spent 0.3 BTC on leasing rigs. I feel like my investment is sufficient, but everyone will judge it differently based on their own judgements.

You won't see me backing many altcoins. There's only a small handful that I genuinely believe have potential. So far I have a very strong track record. I never tell people how to invest their own money, but I am personally confident that Prosper has some potential.

I could spend a lot of time explaining why I think it has potential, but in all honesty, I feel it is up to individuals to figure that out for themselves. itsallpc also has a strong record of being extremely supportive of good altcoins, and really puts in the time and effort to promote them.

Hey guys, I am afraid that this faucet has no more server balance: http://faucet.cryptodemand.com/
Any chance it will be refilled?

It isn't a dev owned faucet, so it's beyond our control. I would like to see it working again as well.  Sad

The second faucet in your sig says unable to connect to Machiavelli when trying to cash out

Didn't he die in 1527?

Bit of historical humour for you there.

That would explain the inability to connect.

We don't need a web developer. We need a Séance.

If the price is right, I could learn how to do one. Who is in for a bounty? :3

It is so hard to post in PMC cuz a lot of people are posting here.

What is Seance? I will pledge on it if i find i meaningful.

It was just a joke. A Seance is when a psychic tries to call up ghosts and dead spirits.  Cheesy

Although if PMC had the paranormal on its side, we'd be invincible.
