I don't think that it would be realistic for PSG to sign Lewandowski. It is just a rumour of course but I don't see it logical. Because they are in no need of a striker currently. They have Mbappe playing as the only striker of the team in the lineup generally. His substitute is another solid striker like Icardi. They would have serious problems if they increase the alternatives with one of the greatest strikers like Lewandowski. You just can't make him wait in the subs in the end.
It just has to be nothing but rumors, i mean, PSG are already having issues playing together as a team with all of the stars at their disposal, now to add another great player in Lewandowsky to the mix is unnecessary and definitely won't happen, that will be too much worry for their manager too, how does he manage to keep all this players happy, without causing division in the dressing room. Another thing is FFP problems, PSG will be very wary of that, they would not want to get into any sort of trouble on that.
2382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin made you a millionaire? on: July 08, 2022, 11:32:07 AM
I am pretty far from being a millionaire, neither do i have that mindset of being a millionaire through cryptocurrency, quite a lot of people have the get-rich-quick mentality with crypto, and it has cost them quite a lot of losses, some they can't even ever recover from, i am a Bitcoin enthusiast, so i hardly have anything to do with altcoins, but what i have noticed is that it is altcoins that people purchase when they start to nurse that get-rich-quick mentality in their heart, mind you that altcoins are risky and aren't long term projects, thus you should sell when you have the opportunity to, especially when you have made ROI. I am not worried about Bitcoin making me a millionaire or anything of that sort, there are other ways i can achieve that goal in RL, i sincerely believe in the Bitcoin network, and that is part of the reason i put my funds in it.

Eriksen is a player who has quite a long track record. He has also proven himself several times with the Spurs in the past. I don't know how good he is after that good fortune on the field where his heart started to hurt. It's great that a club like United signed him. I think Manchester United should definitely aim to finish in the top 3 teams. I have heard again that Ronaldo did not show up on days today because he is still dissatisfied with the situation. Will that ever change?
I know Eriksen ia a good player, i am also aware of his positive track records in the clubs he previously played for, but what i am actually questioning is if he is the type of player that Manchester United needs, in my opinion he is is not, United need young quality players that will be able to easily adapt to Erik's coaching philosophies, i do not know too much about Erik as a coach, but from what i read he likes to play with a high press (correct me if i am wrong), and that is a very demanding tactics on players. Prolly Eriksen might just be one of their makeshift players next season, and with his quality he is definitely not a bad second option.
2384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 05, 2022, 08:54:09 PM
Cristian Eriksen to Man United is almost confirmed. 3 year contract for him on the table. They are just waiting for the medical check up to be completed and if successful. Very high chances that Eriksen will be a Man united player.
Eriksen is definitely moving to the red half of Manchester, it has been confirmed by multiple legitimate sources, whilst it is somewhat of a good move for both parties, i do not consider this deal to be one to move Manchester United forward and enable them compete for trophies next season. Eriksen is already 30 years of age and he prolly wouldn't have the strength to perform consistently at the very top level in a top club like Manchester United that demands so much from their players in absolutely every game.

If Pochettino returns to EPL, it will be a good news for him but the big question is, which club would offer him a contract?
Definitely not a big club i'm sure, all of the big EPL clubs have good coaches they don't look to be doing away with anytime soon, except of course there is a dramatic turn of events, which is not uncommon in football. I think Pochettino will take a well needed break, i'm pretty sure he would be heartbroken following how things panned out with PSG. Now is prolly the time to take a break and reflect on what's the best move for his career going forward, pending when he will receive his next "worthy" offer from a club.

Verify the status of your Permanent voters card.
Thank you for this important information bro; even if you're sure, just check to confirm the validity of your card, it is our most important instrument for change next year oh.
Get your PVC let us change the Government.
I second that bro, that is just the culmination of the whole matter, complaining has taken us nowhere, instead it has made us inure to sufferings, right now all we basically have to do is to make a move for a change through voting the most credible candidate come next year's election.

To be honest, I didn't know Kalvin Phillips before but somehow Manchester City have agreed a move from Leeds for such an expensive transfer. I don't think he will soon replace KDB, but maybe Kalvin Phillips will be good for his backup this season. I'd like to get to know this new Manchester City player more closely, but I'm a bit doubtful whether the price is worth the quality.
You've never watched a Leeds game before? Phillips was a mainstay in the Leeds team, and he is a very good player, not world class or anything of that standard, but he is decent to be honest, as regards the fee, it is what it is, and that is how the footballing market is these days, players no longer come cheap; well City sold Jesus for around £45m, and bought Phillips for around £42m, so City are balancing their books pretty well. City are interested in Brighton's defender Cucurrela as well, but they are yet to make any formal bid until they sell Sterling who looks set to move to Chelsea, so what i'm most happy about it that City are doing their business well, so as to avoid any FFP sanctions. Phillips is DM by the way and a replacement for Fernandinho, so he is in direct competition with Rodri and not KDB.

Congratulations on both your motorcycle and your maiden use of Bitcoin as a medium of exchange, your story is a pretty interesting one to read, i must say i enjoyed reading it, whilst i might not spend that much Bitcoin on a commodity right now, for obvious reasons, i have to praise you for making a good choice by doing so, and using Bitcoin as an actual currency/money. Prolly somewhere along the line we might not be fascinated anymore when one makes a purchase via bitcoin, because by then it would be a common medium of exchange; your motocycle looks great by the way.
2389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How quick does the market grow during bull market? on: July 05, 2022, 05:39:27 PM
I have so far invested £4,500 and my portfolio is down 45%. I have not sold any of my positions and have kept buying at these low prices with the intention of holding until the bull market comes and I can cash out some nice profits.
I am quite surprised that you started just in February and you did not panic or sell when the plunge/crash began, it is a very good choice, but not one that newcomer investors take quite often, many newbie investors are into the get rich quick reverie, and thus they can't handle a plunge/correction phase, either they sell or they fall seriously sick over the dump. It is pretty much good you did not of that, considering the fact you have also invested a large sum of money, at least to me. Bear periods are pretty much a favorable time to accumulate more Bitcoins, but sadly quite a lot of people are always too scared to capitalize on the opportunity.

It really does seem to be a way for the super-elite with their hereditary wealth to increase their asset value at the expense of the bulk of the population.
It is what it is, and i am pretty sure every country is struggling to keep their inflation levels in check, all of these should have a thing or two to do with Covid-19 sanctions and policies like printing quite a lot of money, it was all going to cause inflation problems, and here we are now, what could be worse is that we prolly may not have seen the worst of inflation as it doesn't look like getting any better. It is a difficult situation for my country at the moment, there is a serious increase in the prices of goods and services making it very difficult for the poor/average to survive.
2391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 04, 2022, 11:13:58 PM
Look at this news. Arsenal are trying to sign their old player Serge Gnabry this summer.  Grin  However they don't seem to be alone about this transfer wish
Arsenal are pretty busy in this summer's transfer window than they normally were in previous seasons, it is unusual to see Arsenal so much in the news, chasing quite a lot of players, and have signed a couple already. I do not know if Gnabry wants to leave Bayern just yet, or if Arsenal are just hopeful they can allure him back to the Emirates Stadium, but Arsenal surely can't offer him what Bayern can, as a Bayern player you are almost certain of winning a trophy every season, and to play in the CL and compete for it as well, Arsenal can't guarantee you anything like that. Having said that, if it possibly happens, and Gnabry moves to Arsenal, then that is a big one for the club and they will have a lot to look forward to next season.
2392  Other / Meta / Re: Curious Question about Meriting on: July 04, 2022, 05:14:56 PM
Now my question is, have you learned so much from a post, a reply, or were you well so impressed with the user that you weren't just satisfied with meriting the post. That you actually went ahead to click to their profile, copied their bitcoin address, and then sent them some bitcoins? Or would you ever do this?
No i have never done that and i would not do that, for me it has to stop at meriting the post, if you are so impressed by the post then you can send as much merits as you have on the post, prolly exhaust what you have, and if you do not have sufficient merits you can report the post to threads where unmerited and under-merited posts are being reported for consideration, if all of that isn't enough, you can bookmark the post and give merits to it when you have some smerits. But sending Bitcoins is not something i'd do. Mind you also that it's not all users that have their Bitcoin address in their profile.

Yes, in the end, Jesus officially became an Arsenal player next season, a deal that went tough and deserves appreciation for Arsenal success in getting Gabriel Jesus. he is a very potential striker and he will earn his place in the arsenal. Arsenal have now got two important players to strengthen their squad this summer they are Pablo Viera and Gabriel Jesus. i see arteta is still active in this tranfers window. Even Arsenal are interested in getting Raphinha autograph.
I'm sure Gabriel Jesus will turn out to be a very important player for Arsenal in whatever their ambition is for next season, i commend Gabriel for taking this bold step, i actually have a problem with players who are happy with little or no playing time, my philosophy remains that if you aren't getting the playing time you deserve, and you stick around and fight for a starting place in the team and it just isn't working, i prolly think it should be time the player left. Gabriel was obviously comfortable in City, winning multiple trophies and playing occasionally, but he wasn't still satisfied, he was also aware that the arrival of Erling would further reduce his playing time, thus he had to leave, he will play very regularly at the Emirates Stadium, and that is what he needs for the overall development of his career.

Good work mate for putting this together yet again, i must say i am glad that our quality activity is still upheld and hasn't dropped because we are yet to have a local board, and discussions in a local thread can turn messy at times, thus i commend every user who is doing their own bit to contribute constructively to the Nigerian local thread, more of the same please, and to @igehhh thank you for this monthly overview, it makes it easier for the admins to track our activeness and other whatnots.

@Hyphen(-) and @Yawa2020, what exactly are you guys talking about please, has any supporter of LP (Peter Obi) told you that they are unaware of the fact that elections aren't won online, what is it with this catch phrase, Nigerians never cease to amaze me i must say, i'd reiterate again, social media is a pretty powerful tool to create awareness about issues, especially political issues. So why has it suddenly become a problem to you guys that Peter Obi is receiving all of the attention on social media. Tinubu and Atiku are also campaigning via the social media, just that it isn't garnering as much attention as that of Peter Obi's, and i ask again, would you be so keen to roll out this "funny advice" if it was the other way round.

Not just on social media, his supporters are also trooping out in mass to register for their PVC so as to vote on the election day, what really are you guys getting at, or have you run out of complaints that you just focus on one which has no base whatsoever. If you are in support of the movement, then do your own bit, get your PVC and tell people around you about Peter Obi, if you are not, then tell us whom between Tinubu and Atiku you are supporting, "no dey disguise abeg". You can't continually downplay the efforts people are making with this recurrent advice.
2396  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: July 04, 2022, 05:20:59 AM
This is exactly what I've been telling the so called OBIdient supporters on social media that election are not won online.
Why is this becoming a recurrent phrase, of course everyone knows that elections are not won online, but social media (online) is also a great/powerful tool to create awareness and to sensitize people about issues like this, and i see no wrong that Labour Party supporters are making good use of it, if it was the other way round i guess some people will be fine by it.
80% of voters are without mobile phones and I'm sure most of them don't even know Peter Obi. LP supporters you guys need to do more. Una just dey create unnecessary online pools  Grin
How can you claim that a whopping 80% of Nigerian voters don't have mobile phones, that is as incorrect as saying 2+2 is 22, except of course if you can back that up with statistical proof of some sort. Labour Party supporters including myself are doing a great job, both online and offline, i live in a rural community at the momemt, and they all know Peter Obi here, thus i don't know if you are saying all of these on assumption or because that is what you want to happen.
2397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 03, 2022, 08:50:39 PM
Sincerely, I don't see the direction Manchester united is heading. They have been very slow in their transfer dealings, Christiano Ronaldo is not seeing any sign of improvement, I wouldn't blame him if he decides to leave, he chose Manchester United above Manchester City, that should show his loyalty to Manchester United. Ronaldo came back to United to help the team and to win trophies but after a poor season and a change of manager, the club has not made any move to sign new players. It's in his own interest that he moves to another club.
I second that as well. Manchester United are not convincing at all, they were not convincing at all last season, and they are not in this transfer window, if i were to be a player of Manchester United with a huge ambition i'd also be considering leaving the team so as not to waste another season of my career. The club/fans seem to be putting too much importance on their new manager rather than making good signings and build their team around quality players. Having said that, Ronaldo is in a somewhat difficult situation, i really do not know which team will sign him, especially because of his wages and age, let us keep our fingers crossed and see how it all pans out.
2398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 03, 2022, 06:33:52 PM
Seems to me a fairly easy choice to choose United, much more potential in that team. They just won't play CL next season.
To be honest, i personally do not see any potential in Manchester United, yeah i know that they have a new manager and there is so much hype surrounding him (Erik) at the moment, but who is sure he is going to turn out successful, remember that managers like Mourinho have come and gone, yet no visible improvement. United obviously can't win the league next season, or anytime soon for that matter, they are also not in the CL, and who is sure when next they will play in the CL, so where's the potential.

Barcelona on the other hand had a very good season, they started very poorly, but Xavi was able to restore the confidence and desire to win back in the players which made them finish high on the table, now they have a high morale coming into next season, and i am pretty sure they will compete with Real Madrid for the Laliga title, they are also in the CL, there is obviously more potential in their team than in United's.
2399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 03, 2022, 05:29:47 PM
I heard some of fans doesn't too excited for the arrival of Lukaku this because they doubt he can reach to his top performance again after failed in Chelsea so he isn't special anymore for them and now Inter under Inzaghi which is have different scheme and strategies with Conte so this still questionable whether he can score a lot of goals again or Inter has just wasted their money by loan him...
Remember that Inter have only spent around £10m in this deal to bring Lukaku back, so to be honest with you they have spent little or nothing to be too worried about a negative outcome. But the chances that Lukaku will perform poorly is pretty low. Even if he does not produce the sort of performances of two season ago when they won the league, i am certain he will still be a very important player for Inter in this new season. Lukaku loves Inter Milan, there is no doubt about that, he also seems to be very comfortable and happy playing in the Seria A, all of that contributes to why he performed so well for Inter, but not in Chelsea, Lukaku seemed unhappy from the get-go in Stamford Bridge, now he is back to his "comfort zone", i believe he will shine.
2400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Then what will happen to your account? on: July 03, 2022, 05:04:53 PM
any children that like this forum and want to learn more about life in relation to bitcoin can just register an account.
I second that, i can't imagine having to pass down a bitcointalk account to my children, that will be absurd to say the least. Rather than do a thing like that, if your children are somewhat interested in Bitcoin like you said, then let them register on the forum and join in the discussions about Bitcoin and other whatnots that go on here. There are more important things i'd worry about passing down to my children than my account. This thread should be in meta in my opinion.
