241  Other / Politics & Society / Re: This is ridiculous on: November 09, 2014, 03:49:27 PM
Is there encryption technology that could easily be built right into all cellphones so that all calls would be scrambled? This would make all phone calls not viewable or audio available except to the recipient phone... like a general phone PGP or GPG.

Smiley

Now you are thinking correctly.

PGP still depending the where you store it. If you let Apple manage all that information, it is not that much different than what security certificates do these day.
242  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia may ban US dollar! on: November 08, 2014, 10:26:19 AM
LOL. Russia is just shooting itself in the foot.

Oh,they can't sell gas without dollar  Roll Eyes

They can take gold or ruble/rmb.
243  Economy / Speculation / Re: $350 is VERY important... make it or break it level on: November 07, 2014, 04:16:43 PM
This is a very important level... I'm sure we will either have a quick bounce up or another continued slow bleed down. I think we will test 400 again soon, what do you guys think?

This time, the resistance will break. I have seen this kind of pattern over and over.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Operator of Silk Road 2.0, Blake Benthall, arrested yesterday by FBI agents in S on: November 07, 2014, 04:15:57 PM

You seem to think this is good news.

Care to give a reason?
245  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Zhou Tonged - End of Silk Road on: November 07, 2014, 04:14:55 PM
Seem like government only go after illicit site that named silk road and not other.
246  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Republicans take the Senate on: November 06, 2014, 12:46:50 PM
Its not like democrats where peaceniks. I lost count of how many undeclared and/or covert wars they started recently.
Anyway, I bet the new focus will be on Africa. It holds untold mineral riches, lots of warlords to do their dirty business and very weak armies.

Exactly.

Not sure there is a difference between the two parties anymore.
247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rise incoming November of 2014 on: November 06, 2014, 12:41:46 PM
This is actually the first time I think shorting bitcoin is a low risk position to take.

All the bullish arguments for it to rise seem to be gone with the wind.
248  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Debit Card on: November 06, 2014, 12:37:45 PM
The transaction fee is too high for both of these companies.
249  Economy / Economics / Re: What if a Country go back to Gold (bitcoin) standard? on: November 04, 2014, 04:14:32 PM
Does anyone have an idea on what happen if a country decide to go back to a Gold standard?

Imagine that there is no threat to this country come from the others. It's a middle sized economy.

Its economy would become strong. It would not be able to inflate there currency for obvious reason.

What are the pros and cons? A fly solo like this is even possible/imaginable?

I'm just curious to know what you guys think it might happens.

Russia and China already accumulated a lot of gold. Any deal between these two countries will probably be backed by gold.
250  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gates foundation spends bulk of agriculture grants in rich countries on: November 04, 2014, 04:11:23 PM
Should have realized by now the foundation is formed with the sole purpose of avoid paying tax.

When the poor does it, they end up in jail. When the rick does it, there is a legal framework allowing them to do it publicly.
251  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pirate Bay founder Gottfrid Warg gets lengthy jail term on: November 03, 2014, 08:25:28 AM
fuck these bastards, nobody should pay for music or film unless its made by small independent labels

What is the incentive for artists to produce if everyone is stealing?
252  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: End of an Era on: November 03, 2014, 08:23:06 AM
Should have sold it when times were good. A little curious on why anyone want to buy the pool at times like this.
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Unless a boom happens in November, there will be a massive correction on: November 02, 2014, 03:50:31 PM
Last hope is December this year on the ETF. When the last hope is gone, so too will the price.

A massive correction will benefit the few who has the balls to buy when everyone is selling.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: MintPal Vows to Fight Former Moolah CEO in Court on: November 02, 2014, 03:48:10 PM
Seem like this is the pattern for all the exchanges. The head of the company thinks he can get away with stealing customer money without facing any consequences.
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: $350 is VERY important... make it or break it level on: November 01, 2014, 06:56:51 PM
Ain't gonna lie, this downward trend is starting to concern me.

That's worrying considering you must have seen this a few times before. Do you have a trading strategy for this scenario? 350 is long gone, today's bitstamp low is 319.9.

Would have been a steal to grab more at 320, I had my limits set above that  Undecided but honestly we can't break 300... Many people want to grab coins at that price, including miners!

It has broken below 300 just not too long ago. Cost of production for small time miner has now exceed the return by long margin.
256  Economy / Economics / Re: What is causin Bitcoin loosing value this time? on: November 01, 2014, 06:54:01 PM
People are waking up and realizing shit, if I have to pay stupid transaction fees like a credit card
why go through all the extra effort?
Might as well just buy a moneypak, it's accepted at more places.
There is no difference but you spend more to be able to spend bitcoin. (or any magic altcoin that is created out of nothing)

Yes. The argument bitcoin charges less than credit card on transaction fee is not entire accurate since no merchant want to hold coin over night.
257  Economy / Economics / Re: How profitable is BTC daytrading? on: October 28, 2014, 02:46:15 PM
I think like in many aspects of business or live the 20/80 rule will apply: approximately 80% of traders are mostly losing and only 20% can make a living out of day trading. So, its hard to say if it is profitable or not. For Warren Buffet the investing is very profitable :-) For many others, not so much.

90% + of day traders get wipe out in a year. Warren Buffet is an investor, not a day trader.
258  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The United States Of America Is The Greatest Union on this Earth for me... on: October 26, 2014, 07:07:14 AM
Still the best country for anyone who is able to move/live there.

People forget environment and security around the world are horrible compare to modern country.
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prices prediction on: October 26, 2014, 06:10:52 AM
You can't predict these digital currencies !!!

All products are subjected to law of supply and demand.

Knc is trying to lower the production cost by raising money to do large scale production. They have public stated the price of each coin is significant lower than $400 if they manage to raise $2B.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out once they reach that scale, they will continue to sell coin if the price is higher than production cost. Maybe even keep expanding until the price reaches the "fair" level.
