Economy / Speculation / Re: quiet before the storm. $180 coming!

Don't be fooled by the quiet and slowly rising price. The next dump will bring it all the way down to at least $180. There simply is no demand. Put your buy orders around 150-160.
Will do. I am slightly more optimist and place some orders in the 170-180 range.

Economy / Economics / Re: Stock Market Crash =\= Bitcoin Surge
|

Bitcoin is treated more as an asset than a currency because of the small number of firms accepting it as payment. The stock market crash causes the strength of the dollar to drop and so people buy bitcoins as a safe place to put there dollars since they for see the dollar losing considerable value in the future. Same way people also can buy other commodities like gold or other metals to safe guard their money during markets crash.
Stock market crash means the value of the dollar goes up as people are dumping stock and holding dollar.

Why are so many being a pu$$y?
So the price is lower and has been. Who cares? Average down. Keep at it. Hold long-term. Eventually you'll break even and profit.
If Bitcoin fails, it will be years away. Too many dark websites still use it. Too many lost coins. Too many big holders.
Some people need to consider using logic instead of emotion. Smh.
Why don't you use the strategy and be glad no one is stealing your secret?

Economy / Speculation / Re: Accumulation Phase

Once the XT drama is over and we're approaching the halving, no one has ANY excuse to whine about not getting a chance to buy enough coins. We've been in the 200's for almost a year. You can only blame yourself if you aren't and/or haven't been accumulating all year.
Also, to the panickers and people spreading fud, look at bitcoinrichlist.com. Do you see any of these big dawgs selling? No. I rest my case. There's a winner and a loser in every game. Once you sell you've lost.
No problem sitting out when the price is above 150+. May start buying it if drop below 150 and will definitely buy at below 100.

Economy / Speculation / Re: Litecoin halving and BTC price

I don't think litecoin is a player anymore. I can imagine a small amount of btc being sold for ltc quickly before the halving. Maybe people sometimes forget those halvings are accounted for in the value long before it actually happens.
Look at it another way, the price of litecoin is already so low it can't possibly drop any further.

Economy / Economics / Re: Miners selling coins sets the price floor ?

Miners can not keep selling coin below cost of production indefinitely. To make money, your first task is to figure out which ASIC manufacture can produce ASIC miner the cheapest and buy up all the coins 20-30% below the current production cost.

Economy / Speculation / Re: When will KncMiner dump their 7719 BTC at bitstamp?
|
on: June 05, 2015, 03:21:51 PM

Why would they sell it ?
They sold about 6.5k btc through xbt provider last 14 business days(earning 1% yearly of adm fee)...
If they really want to sell they just need to do nothing next two weeks.
Exactly, use your head kwukduck. KNC is gonna panic and dump 8000 coins on the market to crash the price?? Like above poster said, they can sell that through XBT provider with no effect on price. So, unless they don't like money... There isn't that much new fiat infusion to absorb 8000 coins being sold on the market without an effect on price.
